... When will the 64bit recomplile of Flash Player be complete... The posted "We are working on it" answer is getting very old and tattered around the edges... Not good customer service...

Yes I totally. I sent them an email this morning, got a reply just a few minutes ago asking me to become involved in their testing of the pre-relese flashplayer! I suppose I could go back to a 32bit search but stuff it! I paid bloody good money for this computer + Gaming Graphics card and I suppose when it finally comes out they will expect us to pay for it!

Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit ActiveX 12.0.0.38 for IE - failing to install (via SCCM/SCUP)

Hi, I've been using SCCM/SCUP to update Adobe Flash for some now, and it's been working great. Much better than pervious custom scripting methods. However, the most recent version for IE, 12.0.0.38, isn't installing properly on some machines in my workplace (all windows 7 sp1 32-bit), and I can't figure out why. I can't see any pattern witht the machines that have the error.
The FlashInstall.log looks fine, no errors at all. And "Programs & Features" shows that version installed. However, SCCM keeps trying to reinstall and gives this error message: Installation job encountered some failures. Error = 0x80240022. I've read up on this message from previous flash versions, these seem to relate to different issues.
The few machines with Firefox have all successfully installed that version, which I notice for the first time I can remember, is a slightly different version number? Adobe Flash Player 32-bit/64-bit Plugin 12.0.0.43.
Has anyone else seen, this issue with 12.0.0.38 for IE, and have any ideas? Thanks

May be related to issues with logic in detection which Adobe is investigating.

Flash player 64 bit not installing properly

I have not been able to use flash player on my windows 7 64 bit computer. It kept showing up in the computer settings as flash player 32 bit and the flash player does not work on my laptop. Any suggestion?

You need to provide more details; "not able" and "not work" doesn't mean anything. Also, what browser do you use?
Flash Player will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit versions on a 64-bit system; you cannot get only a 32-bit version on a 64-bit system.

Adobe Flash Player 32 bit for 64 bit system?

I have Windows Vista 64 bit OS but I use IE9 32 bit browser. However, I mainly use Firefox. I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (11.6.602.168) installed; I followed all the instructions on the help page -- disable active x filtering, updating the drivers, hardware acceleration turned off, etc. What I want to know is should I have downloaded Adobe Flash Player 32 bit even though I have a 64 bit OS? Flash player keeps freezing up. Do I need to change any of my global settings?

Here are the flashlogs from the host that SAYS it has the plug in installed
in programs & features, but LACKS it according to firefox
(& probably doesn't have either x86 or x64 plugin in reality)
installed from the manual, offline installer as above

Flash Player (32-bit) is installed on this computer but does not respond when I need it. What can I do? The error page keeps telling me to install the lastest version of Flash Player which I have tried to do several times. What can I do next?

Does adobe still offer Flash Player in the 64-bit version? (Both for IE and Non-IE browsers)
I am able to find the 11.3.300.265 (32-bit) version on filehippo.com but their last 64-bit version stops at 11.3.300.257.
Does it mean that from now on we have to install the 32-bit version on a 64-bit system?

The installers from 11.3 and on are now universal. They will install both 32 and 64 bit versions when applicable without you having to download separate versions.

Can't install Flash Player 64 Bit

I'm using Firefox on Windows 7. When I go to download Adobe Flash Player it detects that I have 64 bit but when I download it only gives me 32 bit version. Every 64 bit version I try to download seems to fail and needless to say it is starting to frustrate me. I tried switching browsers, trying to download it in Internet Explorer but it will still only download the 32 bit version.

In my Control Panel I don't see anything 32-bit or 64-bit; it just shows the ActiveX or NPAPI plugin:
What files do you have in C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash ? All the 64-bit components should be there.
Do you have any difficulties using Flash Player on a 64-bit browser?

Flash Builder / Flash Player / 64 bit OS issues.

Hi,
I'm trying to compile a flex application using my flash builder, and as soon as I hit Control+F11 I can see a browser instance (IE 8) getting opened with a swf "loading" preloader, but nothing comes up after that and all I can see is a blank white screen.
I've tried installing Flash Player / Flash Player ActiveX for 64 bit operating systems, but nothing worked out.
Can anyone shed some light?

I just talked with adobe customer support,,,,they are working on 64 bit flash player,, Java has 64 bit browser support now,,,they have written that after flash player release 10.1 which is released, they are working on 64 flash player support and will release,,understand,, that not only do they have to revamp the code, they have to setup server time and bandwidth for probably 100 million downloads, this is a massive release,, thus,,,say something encouraging, while they get this done for us,,,further,, many companies are not even working on 64 bit support for browsers( not mozilla, though), all of the virus companies Microsoft, ect have no or little 64 bit browser add ons,, they need to get busy. Hooray for adobe 64 bit browser add on support, maybe adobe reader and shockwave player will be up next,,,

Further,,,,,,,,,,Adobe personnel has to besides set up server time and bandwith, they have to make a setup.exe file, zip file, digital certificates for the downloads for the adobe 64 bit flash player browsers add on( more than one browser) Firefox 4 has 64 bit browser and is being worked on, they also need to chat with 3rd party person to get permission, authorizations, ect as there software is copyrighted ,also,,,,,, a meeting of the minds so as to speak, and a legal document generated as to agreement,,,there is much more of course........Like beta testing,ect,, we do want it debugged and secure.Microsoft and others need to get supportive about this and get there end straightened out,, they get paid enough, if Microsoft needs help in this area,, I can point them in the right direction where code programmers are trained and chuse microsoft as employer, not oracle or the State of Washington.

We actually do update the linux version for security updates, though as McBlob mentioned feature development has stopped.
@phil995511 - can you point me to the security bulletin or post so I can ask our security folks if this is a known issue?

Flash Player 32 Bit installs in my Windows 7 64 Bit computer.

Running Win 7 64 Bit, Explorer 9 with ActiveXFiltering removed, downloaded & installed latest version Flash Player but when I checked Control panel I found 32 Bit Flash Player installed. According to website I have Flash Player installed but I cannot run a program (BBC iPlayer DeskTop) that requires 64 Bit Flash player Any ideas?

Does that program require the Flash Player ActiveX Control, or the plugin? If you only have the ActiveX Control (for Internet Explorer) installed, then you may also need the plugin (for other browsers). Get it from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/

Why would 32-bit Flash Player be installed on a new 64-bit computer?

Hi,
I've a 5-day old Windows 8.1 computer using Internet Explorer 11.
The Control Panel has an entry that reads, "Flash Player (32 Bit)".
When I click on it and go to "Advanced", the update options are all greyed-out - though next to the CHECK NOW box it says, "Plug in version - not installed"
By searching the hard drive, I've discovered that the Flash Player version is 12.0.0.38 - is this OK for a 64-bit machine?
Also, should I install the missing plug in? (and where would I find it!)
Can I "un-grey" the update options?
Any help or advise would be appreciated!

When I tried to run the first one it encountered errors saying IE11 already contained the latest version of Flash Player built-in.
It then went on to say that Windows Update will inform me when new versions of the Flash Player are available - I guess this is why the options were greyed-out as described above!
I do appreciate your help on this, but could I ask one further question, please?
Before receiving your first reply, I tried to sort the problem out myself. I went to one of the sys folders and clicked on a Flash exe file there - then I bottled out and cancelled it when I was asked, "Are you sure you want to allow this program to change your computer settings?" (or something similar).
This resulted in a critical event that said Flash Player had stopped working and has affected my "reliability index".
I'm hoping Windows will catch up with itself and realize everything is OK - or have I done any lasting damage? (and if so, how do I rectify it!)
