Flash Player 9/Firefox - Mac, mouseX/mouseY Bug

I've been doing a bunch of experiments using mouseX and
mouseY to alter positions of different MovieClips on the stage. I
have found everything works perfectly on a PC, but no matter what
browser or what Mac I try it on, when I click off of the browser
window my mouseX and mouseY locations jump into the millions. Which
cause my MovieClips to immediately go off stage.
If I keep my mouse back on the stage for a few seconds they
eventually right themselves, but I am finding this to be a huge
problem since no one on a Mac can view these files properly if they
click off of the stage.
There are definitely other people who have experienced this
before, including
this guy, who
was contacted by Adobe themselves. But that was in September that
the issue was known and supposed to be solved. Anyone have any idea
if there is a solution to this problem, or have heard of any
developments regarding this bug?
It's extremely frustrating, and I haven't been able to work
up a decent workaround in the past few days I have been trying to
solve it. Thanks in advance!

I cannot get rid of the permissions box when using flash player in firefox

I have explored on the web about this problem. When attempting to use flash player in firefox, I cannot click on the allow button to allow my video camera and microphone to be used on sites. I CAN go to Global settings and allow the sites by putting their URL, but this makes no difference, the little permissions box keeps appearing and won't go away.
Anyone know what else to try if changing global setting permissions doesn't work?

This sounds like a bug. The direction that we're heading is to have the browsers present these permission dialogs, and to eliminate them from Flash completely. It is unlikely these native dialogs will support an "always allow" or "remember" option.
If you're not able to click the button in the dialog when it's displayed, that's problematic. We have a couple things in the pipeline to make the dialog bigger. Usually those problems are resolution specific, although if there's moving video behind the dialog, that can trip our security controls. We do a bunch of checks to ensure that the dialog you're clicking isn't obscured by something else, so that we're sure you know that you're clicking and approve button.
There is an improvement in the pipeline to make these dialogs bigger. They were originally designed for 640x480 screens (they've been around *that* long), and they're way too small on modern high-density displays.
Anyway, you're welcome to file a bug at http://bugbase.adobe.com/. Please be sure to include a link to the problem content, and the configuration you're using (OS and browser version, and screen resolution would be particularly useful -- these are often resolution-dependent issues).

Problem with finishing install of Flash Player on a Mac. When finishing by entering the requested password, the dialog box jiggles as if the p/w is invalid. But it works in the Adobe site.

There is no password required to download or install the Flash Player. Chances are your Mac is requiring you to enter its password to allow the installation to occur.

How can I install Adobe flash player on my Mac using Safari OR Chrome? I have gone through every step on all of the help pages. The installation process always stops with the black box that briefly says, "Retrieving Install . . . ", then nothing.

I have followed every step in the various help pages I was directed to when troubleshooting the inability to install Adobe Flash Player on my Mac using either Safari or Chrome. Everything has failed. I always get the black box that says briefly, "Retrieving instal. . . " and then goes blank. When I close that window, I get the message, "Adobe Flash Player could not be installed." Then it gives some links to follow for troubleshooting. I have followed ALL of the links there and on other help pages, to no avail. I've run into problems installing Adobe before, but it's never been this bad. Would someone please develop another format besides Adobe? Trying to get help from Adobe feels a little like trying to find a building in New York City with no map or GPS. The time required is voluminous, the emotional energy a/k/a frustration is overwhelming, and long before I get anything resolved, I wish the earth would open up and swallow all things Adobe@. Absence that miraculous intervention, I have to figure out what to do next. Does anyone know? Anyone?

Flash Player for Firefox on Win 8 / 64 bit

I'm trying to install Flash Player for Firefox on a Windows 8, 64 bit system, but have been having no end of grief.
I've finally traced the problem back to the origin, and it's happening because when I enter the info on the download page, it serves up the installer for the 32 bit version instead.
It does in fact verify on the page that I'm requesting and downloading the 64 bit version, but what I receive and then install is 32 bit. And consequently, I can't get Flash Player to work in Firefox.
Is there any way at all I can access the real 64 bit Flash Player for Firefox / Windows 8?

There is no separate 32-bit and 64-bit installer; on a 64-bit system the installer will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit players.

Will not accept my adobe password, reset it through the adobe site and still will not work. Tried Chat help and agent said to reset password through the Apple screen. When I try that it asks for apple id and password but there is only a place for the password. Any suggestions.

Does anyone have any ideas how to update my flash player on my Mac? It has the following: OS X 10.5.8 which has a 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor. I tried updating directly from the Adobe forum related to this, but it only lists the option from 10.6 to 10.10 now. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.

If you're on an Intel Mac, you can probably complete the installation. I don't *think* we'll block you at install time. That said, we're using the MacOS 10.6 SDK, so there may be problems. You should be eligible for a free upgrade to Yosemite, and you might want to consider it.
Running a Flash Player from the archives means that you're missing all of the security fixes that have been shipped since that build was initially released. If you're surfing the web, this is generally a pretty bad ideal, even on Mac. You're going to be much safer running current versions of the OS and Flash Player.
