Flash Player 9 How to test

Have downloaded the latest version onto my PC. I use Windows
XP and firefox browser. However although it tells me the version is
laoded ok I cannot seem to find a way to test if it is ok. I tried
to link with an organisation through a cam2 cam service which
appears to fail.
Have tried to follow the recommedation on the support pages
without much luck. Any suggestions ?

I know it is not a popular viewpoint, but I am sure that something in an individual's settings is causing these problems with Flash (and I am well aware that "individual" includes a lot of people).
I just tried all of those you list with no problem, including Brietbart TV which was totally new and I have never accessed before. This is the same on two machines, one with 10.5.2 and one with 10.5.3 (the one I just tried with Brietbart).
I am also aware that one or more people saying "nothing wrong with mine" is neither helpful nor positive for those who do have difficulties, but there is something on mine that allows it to work and something on the others that does not: settings, permissions, DNS, IP numbers, ISP? All of these and more figure in the equation, but my gut reaction would be to start with the plug-in and its settings.

  • I have Windows XP,Firefox does not recognize my Adobe flash player. How doI fix this.

I have the latest version of Adobe flash player,It works with IE,it will not work with Firefox. It will not download flash player, because it is already installed,How do I get to work with Firefox?Thank you for your time.

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:
*an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only
*a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox
*On a Windows system, you should always update both individually.
'''''You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed. ''''' If you did, in Add-ons > Plugins you would see "Shockwave Flash ''(version)''". If "Shockwave Flash" is there and is disabled, click the "Enable" button.
Check your Plugins often --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
*only the most popular/used Plugins are known by this page
*page will detect only installed, '''''enabled''''' Plugins
    '''<u>Install or update Adobe Flash</u>'''<br />
#'''<u>Using Firefox</u>''', go to the following link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later. Un-check any items on that page that you do not want to download (i.e., "McAfee Security Scan Plus":
#When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
#Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
#*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
#*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    #*The installation is quick.
#Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
#To update/install the ActiveX version for IE '''''only''''', repeat the process, '''<u>but use IE to go to the above website</u>'''.

  • When updating Flash Player, how do I stop McAfee from installing?

Flash Player updates automatically reinstall McAfee and as this conflicts with my own security system I don't want it to automatically install but don't know how to stop it.  Can someone help?

There's a checkbox BEFORE you download Flash Player, that prevents the download and install of McAfee. Uncheck it and it won't download.

  • Adobe Flash Player: How many times do I need to Upgrade in a  week!!!!!!

For the past week, I have had to upgrade Adobe flash player 3 times.
This is making me mad! Either I upgrade or I can't view videos.
Why the ##@ does Adobe FORCE ALL USERS TO UPGRADE for minor bug fixes.
Three times in a week is excessive! The Adobe website is slow and I do not have all day waiting for the servers. Yes, I use vista and a broadband connecion! All this just makes me mad!

This is thanks to the free Adobe Flash Player, which is the most common tool available for playing Flash content in web browsers. This is under constant review and development with updates available online (almost weekly at times, it seems). In other portable electronic devices a slimmed down version known as Flash Lite is used to display the content.

  • Full screen mode in flash player - how to make it more fluent ?

For some reason I'm experiencing a not fluent picture by watching tennis or other sports on ESPN3 Live on Flash Player.
The thing is, sometimes in one and the same session, watching the same match switching to full screen mode I get a fluent picture and another time it will jerk.
In the commercial breaks of the matches I sometimes play some games for some minutes. I can understand that can absorb some memory. Then I put my game screens into the dock and sometimes I get a fluent picture then of my match and sometimes not.
Does it have anything to do with virtual memory ?
Can I increase something somewhere to get the picture to be fluent ?
    Thanks
    bafomet

Full screen mode takes more computer resources, better video quality, a faster broadband connection etc.
It all depends what type of machine you have, if you have a 15" or 17" MacBook Pro, then head to Energy Saver and turn off graphics switching or enable the high performance option, you will need to be on power.
The 13" and below you can't help it, it's the lousy integrated graphics.
    Mac video card performance
Next if the game you were playing is send out Internet connections this could be interrupting or interfering with the streaming service, especially if your download speed of your Internet connection is not all that fast or reliable.
If you have others on your local network, or local interfereance from applicances or stuff that could be affecting your WiFi signal to your computer.
If you used a alternate DNS service, one with no local server, that also could be a problem.
Could be your Flash needs to be updated or reinstalled, the caches flushed out.

my windows surface tablet wont allow me to install flash player.

You don't need to install it; Flash Player is already preinstalled on all Windows 8 editions.
    For troubleshooting see http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/flash-player-issues-windows-8.html
Use Windows Update to update to the latest Flash Player version.

    #'''Update or Install Shockwave Flash'''
#*Use Firefox to Download and SAVE to your hard drive from the link in article below; the link takes you directly to the download and you avoid the "getplus" download manager and "extras" (i.e., toolbars, virus scan links, etc.) on the main Adobe page.
#*SAVE to your Desktop so you can find it
    #*After download completes, close Firefox
#*Click on the file you just downloaded and install
#**Note: Vista and Win7 users may need to right-click the installer downloaded and choose "Run as Administrator"

    * Java Plug-in 1.6.0_01 for Netscape Navigator (DLL Helper)
