Flash Player, aggressive message on Myspace Music

All wath I can say: F.CK YOU ADOBE with your FLASH PLAYER 10
Normally with Firefox the Music Player on Myspace Music works
without problems. Suddenly now a popup window is replacing my Music
Player with the message OOPS...etc upload Flash Player 10.
Poor Adobe,... how much money you want that your firm can
survive? I'm paying with my Visa Card, is that ok?

Hi CH0606 & welcome to discussions...
I believe there is a Flash 10 beta that is available you may want to check on @ Adobe's site.

  • Flash Player error messages from browser?

    Hello.
So a client I'm building assorted things for gets these annoying error dialog boxes popping up in web pages that I never see myself. But they are akin to those I would see if I were running a SWF locally from my hard drive in my Flash Player. I've tested for these errors repeatedly on different servers and different computers and am coming to the conclusion that there is something peculiar about the way their Flash Player in their browser(s) is configured. Have they somehow installed a debug mode of Flash Player? Have they turned on some annoying verbose mode? If so how do I tell them how to turn it off so that they can realize that the way things look in their office are not remotely representative of the way Flash is rendering things on 95% of the computers in the world (and 100% of the computers I have tested things on)?
    Thanks for your time.

  • Flash Player error message when starting .exe

I have published a quiz on our local intranet in .exe format.
It runs fine and actually submits results (unlike the .swf files)
via Outlook. I created the quiz on a Windows XP machine running
    Captivate 2.
The only problem I am finding is with certain machines, when
they go to run the quiz, they get a FlashPlayer error message that
says : "Cannot create file C:\DOCUME~1\iddem\LOCALS~1\Temp\Personal
Care final.swf" . On other machines, I don't see the message at
    all.
If they click OK, it runs the quiz fine. My question is
whether there is a setting in Captivate I can change to avoid
    having users see this message.
Thanks for any help you can provide -
    Anne Goldenberger

I don't know for sure, but believe an .exe is (supposed to
    be) the Flash
Player and the .swf file essentially 'zipped' up into an
    .exe. So when
you open the .exe, it auto-extracts to the user's temp folder
    and the
swf is told to play using the bundled Flash player.
HOWEVER, recent posts indicate at least some of that is not
    true, or not
working as it should, in that if a user doesn't have the
    Flash player
installed, the .exe won't work (swf doesn't play). So perhaps
    the issue,
assuming my previous assumption is true, is the .exe is
    supposed to make
the Flash player available but is not, or is directing the
    swf to use
the installed player instead...which fails if the player is
    not
    installed....
SO, point being if that's all true, that's why the user's
    temp folder
may be coming into play - the .exe is trying to extract to
    that
location. Is the folder path different for each user -
    showing their
username in the temp folder location?
Why the error is occurring or how to fix it, I'm not sure.
    Emptying the
user's temp folder sounds valid. Maybe it's just too 'full'
    and hitting
some quota limit? Or perhaps the temp folders have some sort
    of
permissions restriction (which would be silly)?
At least the file works despite the error...

  • Flash player error message

Whenever I start firefox, I am given this message:
Until I close it Firefox won't open, so I do close it and everything on firefox works fine. I've located the file and attempted to delete it, but I simply received a similar message specifying the file cannot be found. The message is quite annoying and I want it to stop, also, I'm quite afraid something will go wrong soon.
This all started when neither youtube or certain flash videos would play, so I uninstalled adobe flash player and they started working again, but this message started up along with that. The location of the file is
    C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\5v5171m3.
    Default\extensions\{E2883E8F-472F-4fb0-9522-AC9BF37916A7}\chrome\
    Content\getPlusPlus_Adobe_reg.exe
Which is a destination I've seen others mention on this website. Does anybody have an idea how to fix this?
EDIT: On the same file location, There was a similar file there to install adobe download manager, I activated it and after a while I got this message:
I'm not sure if it's related or not.

Hi, you didn't give any info on your operating system, so can't give you any info yet.

  • Why do I keep getting the Flash Player update message?

Every time I switch on my PC I get a message from Adobe about an available update to Flash Player.  If I try to download/install from the message, it fails. I already have Flash Player. I asked Norton to help and yesterday they downloaded Flash Player onto my PC from the Adobe website.  I'm on Windows 7 and the version of Flash Player I have seems to be 13.0.0.214 but I STILL keep getting the message from Adobe inviting me to install the update.  it is driving me mad.  Here's a copy of the message:

    Hi Pat
Apologies if my email didn't make it clear that I had been trying to download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player by following the instructions in their message, but it always failed.  Then Norton downloaded and installed it on my PC (remotely) while I watched, but when I checked the programmes on my PC it wasn't the latest version that appeared on the list.  However following your email I have tried again just now (by downloading and installing from Adobe's website) and it installed OK and the latest version now shows on my programmes.  Fingers crossed that I don't get that message again next time I switch on my laptop...!
    Many thanks for responding.
    Kind regards,
    Heather

Hello sunnyskoolof13, Below is some information on the brccmctl file you list. You must have a Brother printer of other Brother device.
brccmctl.exe is a process from Brother Industries, Ltd.. It can be found in the location of C:\Program Files\brother\controlcenter3.
brccmctl.exe is a potential security risk which can be modified maliciously by spyware.
brccmctl.exe should be disabled and removed, if it was attacked and brought you brccmctl.exe error.
Just go to the Control Panel, Programs and Features, ( if using Windows 7) If using Windows XP, go to Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs, and locate and remove this application.
If your Brother Device stops working, you may need to reinstall the application.
Please click the White Kudos star on the left, to say thanks.
Please mark Accept As Solution if it solves your problem.

Everytime I try to download it, it gets to about 7% and then the error message says cannot contact reliable source. I used the adobe uninstaller to uninstall the previous versions, but no luck. I've tried locating hidden files but couldn't find any. Any suggestions?

Hi, that is part of the Download Manager. Don't use that if you're having a problem.
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Uninstaller:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for IE- use the EXE Installer
    http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html
Download and SAVE to your Desktop the Installer for FF- use the EXE Installer for plugin based (from the same site)
Close all browser windows, you only want to be looking at your Desktop.
Disable any messenger services, as yahoo, msn, etc in the system tray(area near the clock)
If you use Norton or McAfee Anti-Virus, you would want to disable that also as they can block the Shockwave Flash Object.
Be sure to use the Administrator Account.
Run the Uninstaller and when finished, Reboot(restart) your computer.
Check to make sure the Anti-Virus is still Disabled
Run the Installer for IE, Run the Installer for FF and when finished, Reboot.
    Re-enable your Anti-Virus
Then go to this test site and test each browser:
    http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
You may want to print these instructions to make it easier to follow. If you have any questions, let me know.

  • Iweb 08: adobe flash player error messages and crashing when saving

Hi.   I switched not too long ago from an 08 Imac to a mid 2011 with Mountain Lion.    I brought the applications I could from the other computer, including Iweb 08.
today was the first time I tried to tweak my site with it.  I opened the old file on the new computer using this method:
    http://iwebfaq.org/site/iWeb_Transfer_Site.html
All seemed well at first.  Then I got a slew of error messages to the effect of "Adobe® Flash® Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local application on your computer or network: blah blah is trying to communicate with this internet-enabled loaction: blah blah blah".
My site is used to display my work in the video production field, so it's related to the various players/videos embedded.
In addition, when I tried to save after opening that first time, and any time, since, it crashes during the save.
Any ideas what's going on here?
Here're two of the pages on my site that were making iweb go nuts:
    http://videoproduction.joshbass.com/Videoproduction-_ENG_Interviews.html
    http://videoproduction.joshbass.com/Videoproduction-_Commercial.html
    Thanks.

Whether or not you use iWeb, you may be aware that things have changed. Since you're a professional, I assume the trade must have talked about it.
I'm not a professional, but I have read about it for the past few years.
Adobe Flash is on it's way out. Especially on Mobile devices, such as my iPad, where your movies do not display.
    Here's how I do it.
It started with this in Flash :
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Movies/rolando/
Then made this with the <embed> code 4 years ago :
    http://www.wyodor.net/Tutorials/ImageWidget/ClickMovie.html
And in a similar style, made for iPad :
    http://www.wyodor.net/mfi/cultureclub/Movies.html
Then HTML5 came along and made a sample with custom code to explain it :
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Demo/html5/HTML5Video.html
And with code from the Interwebs :
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Demo/html5/HTML5_Zencoder.html
    http://www.wyodor.net/_Movies/sublime/
And regarding the Adobe messages? It's not particular to your situation. It's a warning that you try to use Flash outside the protected area of a website.
You can either ignore it, or prevent it by making separate webpages for each flash video and then display them with an iframe in the HTML Snippet. The HTML5 demos above do that.
So the magic word is : Educate.

  • Shockwave and Flash Player error messages in Firefox

    Hi,
I'm having two problems with Firefox:
    1) Flash Player...
    a) Sometimes I keep getting the message that I need to download Flash Player. b) However I have visited this link: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html And verified that the latest version of Flash is already installed on my system. c) I get the message, and then after a little while the video still plays anyway - but how can I stop receiving this message?
    2) Shockwave...
From time to time I get an error message regarding the "Shockwave Plugin" - saying that it can't play a script, and asking if I want the script to continue or stop.
    How can I solve this?
    I have a Windows 7 PC.
    Thanks in advance!

I've had success with this with several people so far.
Copy the following (bold) text into a Notepad document (Don't use Wordpad or Word because they add formatting and it doesn't work):
    c:\windows\system32\cleanmgr.exe /dc /sageset: 1
    c:
    cd \
    cd c:\windows\prefetch
    del *.* /q
Save it to your desktop as "clean.bat" under "All file types".
Double click it and your Disk Cleanup will open, but not like it usually does.
Check EVERY box in the configuration window, Click OK and close it.
Next, right click the "clean.bat" file and choose "Edit".
When it opens in Notepad, change "sageset" to "sagerun" and save it.
Double click it and let it run. This will do a "deep cleanup" of your hard drive. This will remove a bunch of temp files that may be affecting your browser and Flash Player.
