I have Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in won't allow me to watch YouTube videos
Up until last week I had IE9 and was able to download and watch YouTube videos with my son and play Facebook games. Then one evening I tried to pull up a Yo Gabba Gabba video on YouTube and the video window was blank. I had watched this video the night before with him, and the only thing I can think of is there was a Flash Player update that tried to download. I saw several posts that suggested downloading a new broswer, but I waited for 3 nights thinking it was just a glitch. I finally gave up and sent a pm to one of my friends who is a Internet Service Technician. She told me to download Mozilla Firefox, which I did, and the problem seemed to be solved. I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos, as well as play games on Facebook. And it seemed my pages, pictures, etc. all downloaded 10x faster. That worked until the next evening and suddenly I once again could not download and watch YouTube videos.
I checked my system and it found that Adobe had done an automatic update so that instead of just having Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I now had Adobe Flash Player 13 plug-in. I also noticed that Adobe Air was downloaded on my computer. I went in and uninstalled the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in and I was once again able to download and watch YouTube videos. But when I tried to play games on Facebook I was told I would need to install at least Adobe Flash Player 10.0.2. I went to find that or an older version but each time I tried to download from Adobe I would get the Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in version, and once again I was unable to download and watch YouTube videos. I was, however, able to play the games on Facebook again.
Remember when I just had Adobe Flash Player 13 Active X I was able to do both while having Mozilla Firefox. I have looked all over the internet and I cannot find recent articles that talk about this problem. Can someone please tell me what I can do so that I can keep Mozilla Firefox, as it is 10X faster than IE9 and with Firefox my Facebook doesn't crash all of the time? But I also want to have the ability to download and watch YouTube videos with my son, as well as the play games on Facebook.
I should also note each time I went to uninstall Adobe Flash Player 13 Plug-in I received an error message saying there was a conflict with Mozilla Firefox and I first had to shut it down before the uninstall would proceed. Also, I received a reply on Adobe's Facebook page from a Tech who had me check to see if I had the latest version of Flash Player. I did have the most recent version. He then asked me to go to my add-ons and enable Shockwave. I followed the instructions and it was already enabled (or it said always activate). Neither of those helped me be able to download and watch YouTube videos. But I can still play Facebook games. What is your current Flash Player version: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html ?

Why does Adobe Flash Player block me from using Firefox?
Every time I try to use Firefox, Adobe Flash Player blocks me from doing so.
I get continual messages that keep reappearing: """""""Adobe Flash Player 11.5 r502 has stopped working.
A problem occurred to make the program stop working correctly. Windows has closed... etc. """""""
This message just keeps re-appearing, and I can't do anything else by close out of it........
and then switch to another browser. I CAN'T USE FIREFOX.
I went in and downloaded the new version, just to make sure it wasn't being blocked by an old version,
but that didn't matter at all. It still blocks me out.
HELP!!!!!!! How do I stop this?
((((Note: I haven't been in here for over a year, and have no idea what email account you
have listed, or even how to find out. Thus, please send reply to: RogerHimesCoach at G mail dot com.))))
I know my username only.
RogerI'm sorry you're going through this. I suspect you're running into a conflict with our Protected Mode which was introduced in Flash Player 11.4. Please try the troubleshooting steps outlined in this FAQ:
How do I troubleshoot Flash Player's protected mode for Firefox?
In particular, I'd recommend temporarily disabling protected mode (for troubleshooting purposes only) to see if that addresses the issue. If it does, please re-enable it and give our latest Flash Player 11.6 beta a shot. You can download it here:

I am trying to update my flash player to the lastest version, I have gone through the download and install process about a dozen times now and i still keep gettin the same message which is as follows:
Blocked Plug-In
The version of “Adobe Flash Player” on your system does not include the latest security updates and has been blocked. To continue using “Adobe Flash Player”, download an updated version from Adobe’s website.
It says that the file size if 16.1MB but everytime i have downloaded it and have gone back through to check it all the amount it downloads variers from 2.6MB of the 16.1 the most it has downloaded in the dozen attempts was 8.8MB.
I have checked my internet connection thinking that could be the problem but it isn't my internet connection is running smoothly.
My operating system is: iMac OS X 10.6.8
The version of flash player it says is installed on my computer is: 11.6.602.180 (obviously though it isnt working as I cant view any videos or any internet content that requires flash player)
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.my browser i am using is Safari 5.1.8

Update Flash Player (General Plug-in) in Adobe applications
Hello,
Secunia PSI detects Adobe Flash Player 9.x (General Plug-ins)
as unsafe. The Plug-ins are used by the Adobe applications: Bridge,
Dreamweaver and Air and are installed in directories of these
programms.
I've updated Flash Player to version 10.x but these programms
use their own Plug-in (installed with the programms) and haven't
been updatet by the update routine of Flash 10.x.
How can I update the Plug-ins for these programms?

OS: Windows XP Pro. x86 (SP3)This install problem seems to be solved. I uninstalled every Adobe program, but still couldn't get past the Shared Technologies issue. Then I went to C://Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Adobe/ and deleted all recent folders & files. This seemed to do it. Both Premiere Elements 11 and Photoshop Elements completed installation. Now on to figuring out how to force Windows7 64 bit to run these programs in 32 bit simulation mode.

my flash player is blocked on Facebook, it says to install i need to turn off gplayer and crextp39. I don't know where to find gplayer or crextp39 can you please guide me?
Hi jbetty,
Are you going through the install process and it's asking you to close gplayer and crextp39? Please make sure all instances of IE are closed before installing Flash Player. if there is a process for gplayer/crextp39 you can close them using the task manager. see http://forums.adobe.com/message/5266110#5266110. -
Premiere Elements 11 Shared Technologies error DW020 Adobe Flash Player 10 plug in missing.
I am unable to complete the install of Adobe Premiere Elements 11 on my Windows7 Pro 64 bit system. When the installation process gets to installing Shared Technologies I get an error message "The installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared Technologies. Please restart your system and try again." Restarting the system gives the same result again. The download assistant program identifies two errors: DW050--Adobe Flash Player 10 ActiveX: Install failed, and DW020: Adobe Flash CS5.5 depends on Adobe Flash Player 10 plugin to be installed.
My system currently has Adobe Flash player 11.7.700.224 installed. I can find a download of Adobe Flash Player 10 but where do I put it? Do I need to uninstall Adobe Flash Player 11.7... ? Partial install of Flash Player blocking full install
Hi guys. I've just attempted to download Flash Player via Youtube, but I accidentally opened the download twice and now I can't install it fully. I've tried to uninstall it from my computer but this hasn't worked. Does anyone have any suggestions?
You may want to take a look at this page at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/191/tn_19166.html There is a link there for downloading the uninstall application whihc was helpful in my situation and should get you back to square one so that you can download and install the latest version.

DO I NEED BOTH? WHEN I TRIED TO WATCH A VIDEO ON MY E-MAIL I WAS TOLD THAT I NEEDED TO DOWNLOAD FLASH PLAYER. WHEN I TRY TO DOWNLOAD IT NOTHING HAPPENS. I HAVE WINDOWS VISTA AND I AM USING IE9 WHICH THE TECH ALSO DOWNLOADED FOR ME. SINCE MY CALL I GET A BOX WITH A SCRIPT ERROR ON NEARLY EVERY PAGE.
Hi, I am back and can see clearly. I have not experienced the error box while moving the pointer. I do have some examples for your review. I will start with what happens when I start a session. I click on IE and get the error box. I click on red "X". Comcast.net is my home page and the Tab is trying to take me there. The symbol showing that it is running is turning but will not connect. Next I click on the "X" on the address bar. This stops the TAB. Now I click on the Refresh and I get my home page without any error box.
Examples
1. The animalrescuesite.com
From e-mail. I am helping to provide food for animals and it doesn't cost me. If you are interested I encourage you to go to the site and sign up. You will get an email each day and it takes less than thirty seconds to do. When I open there is no error box. When I click on "click here" I get the error box. To close I click on the red "X". I then click on purple box "click here to give". No more error boxes backing out of the site.
From address bar there is no error box on page 2.
2. bestwestern.com
From e-mail. Same as example #1. no error box on page 1. When I click on "book now" I get error box. I click on red "X" and then no more error boxes while in the site. I clicked on each tab. Also no error boxes while backing out of site.
From address bar there is no error box on page 2.
3. Any e-mail with video link.
When I click on the link I get the error box. After I click on the red "X" the video starts.
I hope this helps. Also I wanted to get your take on me uninstalling the fire fox and when. I am ready to compose my e-mail to Adobe. Do you want to see it before I send it. You might offer an insight that I miss. -
Flash player block the sound. [SOLVED]
Hi !
I'm having a problem with Flash which is the kind of little annoyance that can quite quickly get on someone nerve. Here it is:
Every time a flash video is played, the flashplugin stop the sound from working anywhere else. What actually happens is that if I type "lsof /dev/dsp/" the output will be the process in which the flash video is, or has been played. The major problem is that even if I leave the page containing the flash video, as long as the process is active I won't be able to have any sound... So I have to kill the process.
This has been more tolerable lately since I switched to Chrome, since every tab is its own process I just have to close the bad tab, but that is still quite annoying.
I have absolutely no idea what can cause the flash plugin to act like that, I've searched over google and this forum and haven't been able to find anyone having the same problem... Am I the only one to experience that ?
On a seemingly unrelated subject, the sound in flash video is delayed by about one second, whereas it is good in any over case (amarok and VLC).
I am running arch 64, and am using the flashplugin that can be found in the extra repository of Arch:
pacman -Qs flash
local/flashplugin 10.0.42.34-1
Adobe Flash Player
local/libflashsupport 9.0.21.78-5
Macromedia flash plugin support lib (OSS SSL)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If something isn't clear, please ask me, I am French so my English might not be perfect...

Using your message I went to the Arch wiki and found that. I've done wht they said by adding snd-pcm-oss to my banned modules, and everything seems to be fine !
The sound delay also seem to have disappeared, or at least reduced a huge lot.
Thank you very much for your help !
