Flash player crash accessing Adobe Media Server website
Hi,
Accessing Adobe Flash Media server family website http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/
today on Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 3.5, 3.6 (I tried both)
I am using Windows XP version 2002 service pack2 and Flash Player 9 r 124
I upgraded to Flash Player 10.0.32.18 but still the problem persists.
One more information, I installed Microsoft Silverlight 3 today on my machine before.
I am not sure this might be a cause, so I uninstalled Silverlight, but the 'media server website' still crashes the browser.
Quick reply appreciated.
Thanks,
Ram Manoj Kongara.
An important update.
I logged a bug FP-4185 under flash player.
Here are the concise steps to reproduce the issue.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Access the website http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/
2. When the page is getting loaded and video streaming load animation starts
3. After 2 seconds the Browser crashes.
Few things that I did prior to the error occured.
Updated Mozilla Firefox to 3.6 version.
Installed Microsoft Silverlight 3.0
If firefox could be a reason, then browser crashed in IE6 too.
If installing Silverlight affected the Flash player crash when streaming, I uninstalled Microsoft Silverlight, but the flash player persisted with crashing accessing the website.
I tried installing Microsoft Silverlight on few machines in a Net Cafe and tried to access the website with flash video streaming, the browser did not crash.
So there is no reproducible scenario apart from my own Computer.
The browser crash is reproducible every time on my machine.

How do I report a Flash Player crash to Adobe?
One of the most frustrating things that can happen when using software are crashes. We understand that and we're constantly working on fixing them when we receive reports. If you've run into a crash and would like to help, please see the following page that describes in detail what we need and where to report it:
Report a Flash Player crash
While this document can appear complicated, the basics of what we need are pretty straight forward. You'll create a new bug over at bugbase.adobe.com and include the following:
The Flash Player version on your computer.
A brief explanation of what caused the crash. Screenshots, a video, or both, of the steps are also useful.
The exact URL where the crash occurred. Even though the crash appears to occur in many places, providing the exact URL makes it easier to identify the issue.
A crash log. Depending on your browser and the operating system, see the "Create a Flash Player crash log" section in the Report a Flash Player crash help document.
System details including operating system and browser versions.

How do I report a Flash Player crash to Adobe?
Thanks,
ChrisHey Chris, I'm having a similar problem as Gambit was having with flash. My screen locks up, no lights on mouse, keyboard nada. So then I have to hit the reset
button (mine does work unlike Gambit's did), but I am unable to obtain a crash report. When I go to C:\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Application
Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash Reports\Pending there is no pending folder...the only thing I've found is this (InstallTime20120215223356). I don't think
thats what you need.

I'm currently at my wits end here....I've read through several reports on here & have tried uninstalling and re-installing ...I have active x version 11.1.102.55 & Plug in version 11.1.102.63
The sites the normaly occurs on is typicaly any flash game period...Have yet to try it on any videos as of yet . yes I've disabled hardware acceleration. all drivers are up to date...aside from MB bios.....I've already sunk a grand into this comp and I don't want to have to pay even more money on a possibble fix as in the sound card as with what Gambit said was the fix for him/her. If I had a spare I would try it but I don't.

Flash Player Crashes In All Web Browsers
Dear Adobe,
For months now when ever I visit a site that uses flash, wever it be in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 9 or Mozilla Firefox. Within about 5 minutes the page I am on will crash and report to me that, the flash plugin / player has crashed. It does this without fail, every time I go online. I mostly play zynga games on facebook. I also use fullscreen whenever possible, and always using the latest version of flash thanks to the cool flash updater.
I have just today checked and updated to the latest nvidia graphics drivers with a clean installation.
I followed advice about disabling hardware acceleration and going through the steps for uninstalling Flash, and emptying the folders associated with it. Sadly though the problem still remains.
I would love for this long time problem to be resolved!
My system is Windows 7 64-Bit, with an Nvidia Geforce 7600gs.
Please find dxdiag results.

-Mikey FHi Mikey - Sorry you're running into these crashes. It's odd that this is occurring with all browsers and Flash content. There must be something specific about your system that is causing this to happen. We'd like to investigate further. Would you be willing to create a new bug report and attach both your dxdiag report and any crash dumps that you can generate? Please see this FAQ for additional details and steps.
How do I report a Flash Player crash to Adobe? -
Flash Player spends more time crashed than running on my Firefox/Windows 7 PC. It has been suggesetd that I uninstall and reinstall it. Also the irritating little pop up asking to use space on my drive is now not responding. Any help resolving these issues will be appreciated. Some brief pointers as to how to effectively uninstall might be helpful though I have uninstalled programs in the past. . .Some just refuse to leave.
ThanksI'd recommend trying the steps outlined in this FAQ:

Issues with Flash player Crashing
I keep getting a gray exclamation mark on things that run a Flash player. I never go over my RAM memory and after I get the gray exclamation mark it asks me to update my flash player. Even when I do so it say I have the most update Flash player. i have to close all my window and went 2 minute than reopen before it will work again
PLEASE HELP!!!!Can you try a browser other than IE10 to see if this still occurs? Given that IE10 is still not generally available to the public, I'm not sure how much testing it's getting at this point.
Regardless, this is something we'd want to address. Please open a new bug report on this issue over at bugbase.adobe.com. The following FAQ will walk you through the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log (if applicable):

This is my problem:
The newest flash player crashes everytime I open certain web pages like failblog or tinychat which requires a webcam
I'm not sure what is causing it but it's only when i'm on those webpages that it crashes...
I can go on youtube kongregate steam and I can play tons of games the only thing I cant do is go on certain websites that messes with the newest version of flash for some reason...
I can use ANY other version of adobe flash and it won't crash at all but the problem with using the older versions is that I can't use my webcam on certain sites.
Will there be another update release for adobe flash that will fix this problem? The previous version was fine I don't know what was changed but will it get fixed?
And yes I have also been into the error logs but it doesn't show anything and the codes that it does show, people don't know what the hell it means lol just a bunch of binary number like data...I could post that but I doubt it would be of any help it's just a few short lines of numbers on each crash...I have purposely crashed my computer about 2 times to check if error logs popup and to see what is crashing the flash player but nothing changes in the crash log..
So to sum my problems up into a short paragraph....newest flash player crashes my computer when I go on webcam/webchat/certain websites with flash videos on it, also if I right click and try to tamper with the settings it also crashes my computer...I would like to know if there's a possible fix for this or will there be another update released anytime soon?
Please help and thank you for all future responses I will continue to use older versions of flash player till this problem is resolved, also on my newer i-7 620 processor 5850 ati laptop it crashes but rarely although I can use my webcam on msn on that computer but this is one has problems....Sorry I wasn't able to respond for a while I work two jobs so I really don't have time for this although I would still like to get this solved very much.
In the event viewer all it says is that there was an unexpected shut down.
I have checked and updated everything on both computers I tried to disable hardware acceleration and that still didn't change anything.
Sometimes when I try to just right click on a flash player and change the settings it crashes, if I try to load certain pages it crashes, if I try to use a webcam chat on a webcam site it crashes. Though I can still view other people's webcams in chat ex: tinychat I could be in there chatting away with some friends from across country and nothing will happen until I click webcam and flash player asks to allow, it will crash if I try to right click anywhere and that little flash settings popup it crashes.
All of this happens when I use the most current version of flash player any other previous version will not crash when doing any of this although I can't use my webcam since the website is running an updated version which is why I would like to get this problem fixed.
The new firefox update didn't help at all it still just freezes. There is no blue screen, no crash error report, no event log. The event viewer just says it was shut down unexpectedly.
I also tried uninstalling all webcam applications unplugging my webcam and that didn't affect it at all. I've done everything that people have been doing on here to solve there problems, I used the search button and tried options from various threads but none work for me.
I can do everything normally that requires flash player like play games, watch videos, and other stuff but it just crashes when I do those certain things as stated above. It's weird that there is no log, no anything just a freeze and I can't do anything to the computer i've tried letting it sit for about 15 minutes but it didn't respond. I used ctrl alt del after a while, alt tab, alt f4, holding down certain keys, holding the power button in for a while and nothing will happen. It just sits frozen untill I unplug it.
Is there anything I can do to get an error log of the crash since event viewer isn't working? -
Adobe Shockwave Flash Player crashing
My Adobe Shockwave Flash Player crashes every time I play a Zynga game on it. I uninstall it & reinstall it each time & I am tired of it. I have talked to other players who have the same problem. Do we need to find another flash that works well with games? Any suggestions are appreciated.
Hi chris.
I have a microsoft windoes xp 32 bit intel laptop.
I have recently upgrated the newest version of flash . player 11.4 it says. But it keeps crashing my computer everytime I load a web like facebook/youtube/ mtv. Just bout every browser I've blamed the web browser for this crashing problem! I am currently using firefox the most lastest version. Will you guys pleaseeeee fix this crashing problem so I can enjoy youtube and all there wonderful websites again with no problems. This flash player came out yesterday but doesn't seem to help. Could I usre another flash player untill you guys fix the problem. If so what version? They say 10.3 but apperently that doesn't help. Gah. Its so fustrating! And so you know I have reinstalled it but that didn't help either. And I did do a cleaning up on my laptop. It didn't help the freezing on the web browser. But it did help it load faster but as I said. Everything keeps freezing and crashing. Please make a newest version that wont be doing this as fast as possible. Thanks -
Upgrade path from Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 to Adobe Media Server 5 Professional
Hi All,
We are currently using Adobe Flash Media Streaming Server 3.5 for streaming video via flash. We want to upgrade this to Adobe Media Server 5 Professional.
I would like to understand the complete upgrade path and any specific pre-caution that I may need to take for existing videos.
Please direct me if you there already exists some support material or let me know if any specific details may be required.
Regards,
AmreshFMS isn't reall suiatable for serving a website or CMS. I suppose you -could- use the included Apache installation to handle your HTTP traffic, but it would require installing a database, an application server, and whatever else you would need. You'd then need to maintain the installation yourself... FMS doesn't have any sort of package manager to handle updating Apache or anything else you might want to attach to it.
I think you'd be better off using a package manager like Plesk or Cpanel, and let it take care of your httpd server and supporting services. My advice is to just use FMS for purposes that specifically call for it. -
Adobe Flash Player crashes on Firefox (NetSteam, Stratus)
Flash Player version: 11,8,800,97 (last)
OS: Windows 7
Browser: Mozilla Firefox 22.0 (last)
Problem: Adobe Flash Player crashes on Firefox, when runnig project with such elements like NetSteam, Stratus.
When problem happen: Only when some streamed data is incoming, after random time. Time before crash can be 4 minutes, it also can be 2 minutes. Memory leaks or disk space usage didn't change and don't seem to be a reason. Problem happen when I was testing my voice chat together with few people. At one moment it crashed at few computers at the same time (which were using Firefox). Then we had luck with repeating this problem several times - simply by asking one of us to play any music into Microphone. Then Firefox Flash Player always crashing.
Here you can see repeating of problem: http://youtu.be/BdkoQxloyDA
It also show that it does not crashes if nobody is sending audio stream in created group, but it does when somebody is sending audio stream. In that video I'm repeating problem by myself, with help of one computer and 2 tabs of Flash Player. First is running in Chrome, second in Firefox. Player in Chrome is used to send system sound from speakers to peer group. Player in Firefox is listening and playing everything he hears (this is why I set it's volume to near 1).
Here is .swf :
http://www.plazmaburst2.com/vchat/vchat.swf?1375377116&l=ANY_LOGIN_NAME&g=b1a2e6f17f339b63 6382b2d6cccadb21
It's very simplified voice chat which only displays streams which are being heared. It's adding " is talking" when stream is sending data. "g" parameter is a group name, I think you can choose any, but tests were made with this one.
Hope it helps. If you will need .fla file - just tell me.Your issue is distinct from the original poster's issue about a crash on Mac. I've branched this out to a new thread so that we're not confusing everyone.
Firefox on Win8 isn't very stable. We're collaborating with Mozilla on improvements, and my test results with the daily development builds are really promising, but it will be a few more weeks before they actually make it to production releases.
In the meantime, you're way better off using IE or Chrome. -
Flash Player crashing on every website I go to
I'm running on windows 7 using firefox. I need help. Literally every page I go to flash player crashes about 4 times and I have to press "stop pluggin" and wait 30 seconds for the page to respond over and over. I'm about ready to either give up on adobe or firefox. I've done the whole uninstall and made sure I have the latest version of flash player and it is enabled. The next step on correcting the problem was to go to the help page and open settings by right clicking on the Adobe logo, however, I couldn't do that because flash player crashed and I had to "stop plugin", therefore I couldn't even see the logo. I don't know much about computers, but I was able to correct the constant crashing problems on my mother's computer pretty easily. Mine is now worse and I can't fix it. Please use layman's terms, I'm an English teacher, not very tech savvy. I've been having trouble understanding some of the instructions I've found in these forums.
I'm trying to prepare for the school year, and I can't work with this constant issue! Please help!
Thank you!I am just as frustrated as you are, sadly enough. I have tried EVERYTHING!!
Have you had any success, and if so, will you share the solution please.
Thanks -
Why does Adobe Flash player crash so much?
This is not the first version of FireFox that Adobe Flash player crashes on. It happens 2, sometimes 3 times a day, my browser locks up for 45 seconds or so then I see the "Adobe Flash Player has crashed" yet again.
I've read the forums, tried suggestions but it continues to crash.
I want to keep using Firefox, but I'll have to switch to chrome and just use firefox for the better firebug.
I'm sure this is adobes issue and not firefox, but there's not much I can do.Try to disable the hardware acceleration in the Flash Player.

Proxy between Flash Media Live Encoder and Adobe Media Server
ciao,
I encode from a pc with Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder to a server with Adobe Media Server. And this configuration works well.
The actual configuration is:
1) computer A (es: 192.168.1.5 - gw 192.168.1.254) point to computer B
with FMS url: rtmp://COMPUTER_B_WAN_IP/live and StreamName
test?user=useruser&password=userpassword
2) computer B (es: 210.22.11.134) with Adobe Media Server
But now I need to encode from Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder (computer A) to a pc (computer P) and then redirect the rtmp stream to the Adobe Media Server (computer B). Those 3 computers have different lan configurations. If I use rtmpsuck (http://rtmpdump.mplayerhq.hu/) on computer P, can I use it like proxy to redirect the computer A rtmp flow to computer B?
I suppose:
1) computer A (es: 192.168.1.5 - gw 192.168.1.254) point to computer P with FMS url: rtmp://COMPUTER_P_WAN_IP/live and StreamName test?user=useruser&password=userpassword
2) on computer P (es: 10.10.10.8 - gw 10.10.10.254) I install
rtmpsuck, I open port 1935 on his firewall and I configure iptables
like: iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 1935 -j DNAT
--to-destination COMPUTER_B_WAN_IP:1935
3) on computer B I do nothing.
Now I have 3 questions:
1- Can it works?
2- On computer P (the proxy) I must install rtmpsuck and rtmpsrv or I can install only rtmpsuck? I don't necessary need to record the stream
3- Is there another way to do this? Is there another software to redirect the stream?
Thankyou
M.Please update us when FMLE OSX is deployed. BTW, I get that the server market is dominated by LINUX/WINDOWS and this is a FMS add on. But, my shops creative workflow is Mac based for obvious reasons. Encoding is part of our editing workflow and thus needs to be mac based. Throw us a bone please.

Converting a Database from Windows 2003 Server to HP-UX Itanium
Hi I have to convert a database Oracle11g (11.1.0.6.0) from Windows 2003 Server to HP-UX Itanium. Both installation are in the same version. I know there are methods to convert it with RMAN ( Restore/Recover converting the database files ) or with tr
