Flash player crashes and other issues.

My wife is having issues with Zynga Bingo and Flashplayer.  Over the past 3 days (starting approx 20 July) she will be able to play for a bit and then it will just lock up on her.  Now it won't run at all, Flashplayer keeps giving an error stating it is unresponsive.
What is odd is that it is only occuring on her account.  When I get on my account or our daughter gets on her account on the same laptop we do not have any of these problems.
In researching this issue I have seen so many suggestions for fixing it, I have tried to run it on Google Chrome, Internet Explorer and Firefox.  It does the same thing on all browsers, and the other 2 accounts do not have any issues on any of the browsers.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics drivers, sound drivers, Flashplayer and Java.
Why?  If this is a hardware or software issue, is the problem only occurring on one account out of the three when they are all three played on the same laptop.
After starting the game on her account it comes to the screen where you select how many Bingo cards you want to play and the music and screen freezes a couple seconds after loading and you can't select anything on the screen.
I should add, we have had many problems with her Zynga account in the past, she had a stroke last year and there was several hundred dollars worth of charges at a time when she was in the hospital and didn't have the laptop with her.  Just a couple months ago her laptop and my laptop both crashed and had to have the operating systems reinstalled (recovery programs failed to work).  This was just after a major windows update, both laptops would not boot up after installing the same updates.  During the week the laptops were being worked on we did not have access to a computer and yet there were "again" hundreds of dollars in Zynga charges which we could not explain.
Is it possible that her account has somehow been hacked by someone thru the Zynga service, as that is the only place she is having problems...and would explain why only her account locks up and not the other two?
Attaching a DirectX file so you can see the system setup....what else can I add to help in troubleshooting?  No antivirus programs or spyware has been detected and the operating system is a fresh install.  All she uses the laptop for is her facebook games and email.
Thankyou for your help.

Thank you for providing all details in your first post; very few posters do that.
Two things to try:
disable hardware acceleration on the affected account; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/891337
if that improves the situation, then updating the graphics drivers would be advised; see http://forums.adobe.com/thread/945765 - you can re-enable hardware acceleration after that

  • Flash Player Crashing and losing sound?

Flash player with either lose sound in the middle of playing a video or it will outright crash, causing the browser to freeze until I stop the plugin. What can I do about this? I'm using Firefox on Windows 8.1.

I have this problem too! I think its definitly caused by an update or something in the last week or so. My system is newly installed not even a month old. First few weeks after the install was fine and now i would be lucky to play a flash video (anywhere, youtube, cbs...) for more than 10 minutes. the majority of the crashing happens within one or two minutes of playing. Symptom is the same as misterkiwi described. After sometime into the video, sound would be lost or other times entire video would freeze and sometime even cause IE to crash. Only way to revive is to close IE and reopen.
I am rather certain that it is Flash's problem because when sound happens to be lost mid-stream, I can still open a mp3 and my system can play that just fine. When video freezes IE it self is still very muchly functional, and I have no problem doing other things...such as typing this reply...
    My system:
WIndows 8.1 64bit Pro, CPU: i7-3770K, GPU: EVGA nVidia GeForce GTX 560Ti, Sound: Asus p8z77ws on board sound
    IE 11.0.9600.16518 update 11.0.3 (KB2909921)
    Flash: 12.0.0.77
Other plugins  (i think unrelated but i'll list them anyway)
    Java: 7.0.510.13
    Silverlight: 5.1.30214.0
    Windows Media Player: 12.0.9600.16384
I have no other Add-ons loaded as i said my system is new...
Please if anyone from the community could help, or even from Adobe
BTW...i have done all of the suggested steps on the Adobe flash website...nothing worked...
    Thanks

  • Downloading flash player 8 and other updates and get an error...

Recently when I've tried to download updates to Norton Antivirus and today when I wanted to get flashplayer *8 it won't let me do it, this is the message I get after I pressed the download button.
Safari can’t open the page “http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/installflash_playerosx.dmg” because it can’t find the server “fpdownload.macromedia.com”.
I know it must be my mac as I downloaded both of these at work on another mac and all was fine.
I might be being totally thick, but can anyone suggest anything?
    thanks

    Hello Iknownowt:
    Welcome to Apple discussions.
FWIW that link results in a "not found" message here. I suspect either the link is wrong, or the web site has changed something.
I just drilled down on the web site in question and downloaded the flash player with this URL:

  • Kernel panics, crashes and other issues

    hi all -
i've been reading through tons of posts over the last week about my issue and trying to resolve it but can't seem to get my machine up and running consistently.
it started crashing consistently on jan 10 - suspiciously the day the itunes update came out - and i have since run the fixes people posted relating to that update to no avail.
i keep getting kernel panics - while i'm running photoshop, safari, word, textedit, ical, etc. i took it to a mac authorized repair shop, but they gave it back to me saying they couldn't duplicate the issue described. it started happening again right away - i unplugged everything except the keyboard and mouse. still got them. have run disk utility from the startup disks several times.
one thing i noticed was it seems to repair the same problem every time - "invalid extent entry". i found a post on this board that said only disk warrior can fix that problem in 10.3.9. disk utility says it fixes it, but it comes up every time...
also - after i downloaded and ran onyx it seemed to be better for the last two days. and then today i plugged my scanner in and tried using it. it crashed photoshop and then everything else started crashing even though i unplugged the scanner. i tried looking for a driver update for it, but os 10 couldn't open the file i downloaded from epson - which was:
TWAIN Driver and EPSON Scan Utility v2.65A
    Macintosh OS X (v10.2.x - 10.3.x)
    epson11385.sea.hqx - 34.2MB - posted on 04/18/05
a window popped up that said the file didn't appear to be compressed and i should get more information from the manufacturer. i read on this forum that bad drivers can cause kernel panics, but i can't seem to load the update. i also trashed my epson printer driver for good measure.
    1) so my first question is: could the invalid extent entry problem be causing kernel panics? or are the two unrelated? should i definitely download disk warrior to fix that?
    2) also something i haven't been clear about regarding repairing permissions - do you have to boot from another drive to repair permissions? my internal drive is my startup disk, and i don't have a bootable external drive. i tried repairing permissions with onyx, but it crashes every time. is this because i need to boot from another disk? how do you do that and run onyx?
    3) has anyone had the problem with panther not opening the epson 4870 driver update?
i've been trying to solve this for weeks...i'm about to swear off technology altogether and move to the mountains.
thanks for any suggestions you might have!

You are doing fine. Don't beat up on yourself (bad ram will do pleanty of that by itself).
Until you get the ram figured out there is no hope for a stable system. If you have bad ram then it will corrupt the system as fast as you can repair it.
If you have the hardware test disk it has a ram tester that can, depending on the system and disk, run in extended(on the menu) or looped mode(command l). It usually reports which stick of ram is bad. On a desktop this is a big deal.
On a laptop it is much easier. You usually have a limited number of ram slots. I don't know what mac you are running because you have not filled out any of the info for your profile.
Pull all but one stick of ram and run on the other to see if that helps. If no change, run on the other stick and see if that helps. If all the ram is non Apple then it could be either. Apple ram is usually, but not always, good ram that stays good. By the way, with the dry weather we are having it is important not to risk static zapping of your mac. The easiest way to ground yourself is to be bare foot then touch the power supply case or other metal interior surface of the computer before tackling the electronics.
I like Crucial Ram but OWC also has a lifetime guarantee and they stand behind the ram. If the vendor of replacement ram has a bench tester then that is the best you can do without putting the ram in your mac.
Once you get good ram in your mac then concentrate on the system. In my opinion, Disk Warrior is the only utility that one needs to purchase for X. It can keep fixing your directory but if the ram is bad X will keep getting corrupted again.
That the permissions are not running off of disk is, yes, a bad sign.
    When the ram is replaced;
If you have a backup hard drive I'd make sure that it has, at a minimum, all your user data. You can also do this with cd/dvd's.
Reformat the hard drive and zero it to map out bad blocks. The system and applications can be reloaded later and your user data can be imported to the clean, new system. That is what I would make my mind up on doing.
It may be possible to keep your current system running with good ram and Disk Warrior but the odds are that some files have been corrupted and will rear their ugly heads in the future.
    Just my 2 cents.

  • Is anybody tell me which is the best setting for firewall, Flash player, safari and other applications  to protect my mac from risk

what are the best setings to protect from risks

    Hi.
I've been a Mac user since the days of the Mac Plus, about 1986.
It's been my experience that the system defaults are generally enough to keep your Mac safe.  I know there are going to be others who will swear up and down that you HAVE TO do more... but the setup that ships with the newest Macs is pretty d*mn good.
The best thing you can do to protect your machine is practice a little self control.  By that I mean, just follow some basic rules when your on using the machine and the internet.
    > Don't download files or apps from untrusted sites... sites you don't know.
    > Don't allow an application to install itself if you didn't initiate it. (This is how a trojan would infect a machine.)
    > Don't click on links in your e-mail if it's from someone you don't know.
    > Don't share your user IDs and passwords with others.
    > Install and use an anti-virus (Kaspersky, Symantic, et al).
    > Use Software Update regularly.
There are other basics that you should keep in mind when using your Mac, and I'm sure others can add to this.
Most of the issuse that people have when using Macs is because they don't use common sense... not because their machine has been hacked or attacked.
OS X is pretty secure as it ships. And Apple is pretty proactive in keeping it updated.

  • Flash Player crashing on every website I go to

I'm running on windows 7 using firefox. I need help. Literally every page I go to flash player crashes about 4 times and I have to press "stop pluggin" and wait 30 seconds for the page to respond over and over. I'm about ready to either give up on adobe or firefox. I've done the whole uninstall and made sure I have the latest version of flash player and it is enabled. The next step on correcting the problem was to go to the help page and open settings by right clicking on the Adobe logo, however, I couldn't do that because flash player crashed and I had to "stop plugin", therefore I couldn't even see the logo. I don't know much about computers, but I was able to correct the constant crashing problems on my mother's computer pretty easily. Mine is now worse and I can't fix it. Please use layman's terms, I'm an English teacher, not very tech savvy. I've been having trouble understanding some of the instructions I've found in these forums.
I'm trying to prepare for the school year, and I can't work with this constant issue! Please help!
    Thank you!

I am just as frustrated as you are, sadly enough.  I have tried  EVERYTHING!!
Have you had any success, and if so, will you share the solution please.
    Thanks

  • Flash Player crashes when going into full screen mode

Hey guys! It's basically as the title implies. Whenever I am watching a video and attempt to go into full screen mode, flash player crashes and I get an error window reading "Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300 has stopped working". As a matter of fact, it doesn't even happen all the time. It happens most of the time, however. It has happened even immediately after searching for and installing the newest version. What might be causing this and what can I do to resolve it? I am using Windows 7 32-bit and Firefox as my browser.
    Thanks in advance friends!

this may be hardware related.  try unselecting  "Hardware Acceleration..."
right click a movie or flash content and uncheck the box in the first tab in Settings.  quit out of the browser and try fullscreen again.

  • Flash player crash, causing numerous errors.

Hey all, I am experiencing a flash player crash that affects numerous other applications on my machine. I have had a few different errors but the most visibly being aasp.dll (which seems to be an Asus mobo driver, having to to with temperature sensing or something, from what I have read on other sites) The specific error is " Eolesyserror In Module Aasp.Dll " (btw, from what I have read, Asus has no clue what the error or the solution is. Either that or they don't want to bother finding out...you know tech support being what it is )
The error seems to come around every day or two, and ALWAYS with the flash player crash, and sometimes errors affecting things ranging from prevention of opening other windows, the windows task manager, anything on my desktop, including the start button...all have been affected from the crash. I have to resort to switching the rocker on the back of my tower in order to restart. Also note that I am using Firefox.
To my knowledge I have all current versions and updates.
    My system specs are:
OS: Windows XP Build 2600 Service Pack 3
    GeForce GTS 250 1GB
Intel core i7 quad 2.8 Ghz
6 GB of Patriot ddr3 3 channel Ram
    XP Pro SP3
If anyone has experienced this error, or needs more info, let me know.
    Thanx

Did you try to disable Hardware Acceleration?

  • Flash Player crashes on Firefox and Windows 8

I too have this problem and it occurred after Firefox's recent update.
The Flash Player crashes any time I open a website with embedded Flash videos.
I cannot watch anything that requires Flash Player and when on Facebook, the pages continually crash. I send a crash report each time then reload and it crashes again. I send about 20 reports per hour and am sick of it and have started using another browser where I do not have this problem but my preferred browser is Firefox.
I have Firefox 35.0.1 which is the latest  version.
My operating system is Windows 8
The plugin I have for Flash Player is Firefox, Mozilla - NPAPI 16.0.0.296 however when I check with Flash Player, it tells me the version I have is 16.0.0.235.
When I try to upgrade, I am informed that my version is up to date.
    Steps taken
    - updated Flash Player
    - Cleared caches
    - Unchecked hardware acceleration in Firefox.
I cannot find the menu for Flash Player as I'd like to try to disable hardware accelerator there too.
    HELP please.

Your issue is distinct from the original poster's issue about a crash on Mac.  I've branched this out to a new thread so that we're not confusing everyone.
Firefox on Win8 isn't very stable.  We're collaborating with Mozilla on improvements, and my test results with the daily development builds are really promising, but it will be a few more weeks before they actually make it to production releases.
In the meantime, you're way better off using IE or Chrome.

  • Flash player crash in IE and Firefox

    Hi,
I develop a Web site in flash and I want to optimize it for
the flash player 9 and later version. But I have a crash problem in
flash player 9 and 10 version in IE 7 and Firefox 2 and 3 except
the very last version (10.0.22.87) I also have the problem with the
flash player in the software. I tried to find the problem using the
debug tool, but I can’t find a way to break in my code in
    external class.
At start, I thought that it was a memory leak, but I
consciously remove all reference and set to null all object I
don’t need anymore to be sure that the garbage collector
collects them. I track the memory usage, it starts at 9mb and goes
up when I add object, but after removing the object the memory goes
    down...
Did someone had experience this type of problem before and
    found a solution?
I also have 2 general questions:
1- What is the best way to debug an application with external
    classes?
2- How can I update the flash player plug-in of the authoring
    tool?
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=b62ce659
I found that page on the adobe site and follow all the
instruction correctly, but when I check my version of the flash
player with the system.Capabilities.version, it is still the
10.0.54.2 even if the player folder on my C: said it’s the
    10.0.22.87…
    Thank you !

nevermind...issue resolved...i also had a usb dazzle video
capture device that was plugged in to one of the usb ports behind
the computer...apparently both of those devices can't be plugged in
at the same time otherwise the above crash occurs.

  • Issues with Flash player Crashing

I keep getting a gray exclamation mark on things that run a Flash player. I never go over my RAM memory and after I get the gray exclamation mark it asks me to update my flash player. Even when I do so it say I have the most update Flash player. i have to close all my window and went 2 minute than reopen before it will work again
    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Can you try a browser other than IE10 to see if this still occurs?  Given that IE10 is still not generally available to the public, I'm not sure how much testing it's getting at this point.
Regardless, this is something we'd want to address.  Please open a new bug report on this issue over at bugbase.adobe.com. The following FAQ will walk you through the information we'll need and instructions for generating a crash log (if applicable):
How do I report a Flash Player crash to Adobe?
Once the bug has been added, please post back with the bug URL or bug number so that others effected can add their comments and votes.

Adobe Flash Player 11 crashes. My browser is Firefox and my operating system is Windows Vista.

[Moved the discussion to Flash Player Forum]
You might want to Run the Flash Player Uninstaller and remove flash player.
    For Windows : http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
    Restart the machine.
    Download and Re-install Flash Player.
    Restart the browser and check.
Check the same using an alternate browser like chrome and see if you get the same issue.

  • To Bentley Wolfe, Adobe, re: Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post

    Hi Bentley,
I wanted to tell you that an important link you posted does
not work and says "Sorry, this page is not available".
It is in your post entitled "Locked [ADOBE FYI] : Getting
Support for Flash Player 10 and Issue Tracking post", and is at
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfmforumid=44&catid=184&threadid= 1400586&enterthread=y.
The link that is non-functional is "If you have issues
installing Flash Player 10, first troubleshoot your issues using
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer.
Read the technotes, do some testing.".
I just wanted you to know, since you have gone to all of the
effort of posting it. I apologize for having to start a new thread,
but I was unable to post to your thread, since it is locked and
    read-only.
This is the issue I am dealing with myself, and desperately
    need help with. :)
    Thank you so very much,
    Karen

    Hi Bentley,
I just noticed something. The link that I pasted, to your
post, does not work either. I noticed why, however, and it seems to
be why the link in your original page does not work, and why the
link in my post that goes to your post does not work.
It seems to be that if a link has a period after it (i.e., if
it is at the end of a sentence), the period is incorrectly included
in the "real" link. Somehow, whatever mechanism that processes the
post has a mini bug in it.
If you go to the link that is results in "Sorry, this page is
not available", and look up into the browser address bar, you will
see the period there each time.
I just thought that I would point this out, too, so that the
web techs in charge of the workings of the forums could look into
    it.
Here is the original link, without a period after it, to your
    original page.
    http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/webforums/forum/messageview.cfm?forumid=44&catid=184&threadid =1400586&enterthread=y
    Thank you again,

  • I have tryed everything that have told me to do and nothing help with flash player crashing

the flash player crashes i send a error report it done help i have loadin new old every verison there and nothing works please help

Frustrating. This is the same problem everytime Adobe update the flash. Why? :-( And any of the solutions works. And if you try to uninstall the plugin and reinstall a previous version the flash itself is disabled and show you a message to update it.
Anyway, we can use Opera or Chrome. And I´ve been a firefox user from the first versions, some years ago.

  • Flash Player linux, grey box issue (youtube vids and some applets do not display)

I posted this question on my distro-specific forum as well as linuxquestions.org, however it appears to  be a unique problem, so here it is:
When viewing videos on youtube.com, most other websites, and when trying  to run certain flash games, the flash applet will not display (though  the audio will play). Instead of displaying the flash applet, there  will be a grey box where the flash video or applet would normally be.
This problem occurs on Firefox and Chromium, but not on Opera.
    My Specs are as follows:
    Distro: PCLinuxOS 2010 (32-bit)
    flash-player-plugin: 10.1-2pclos2010
    firefox: 3.6.6-1pclos2010
swfdec has never been installed (to my knowledge)
I did a lot of investigating about the problem but have turned up no  solutions thus far. Here are my results.
Flash videos and applets which allow  access to the settings menu (like youtube played from their website) do  not display, however flash videos and applets which do NOT allow access  to the settings menu (including youtube videos embedded in other  websites) WILL display.
Reinstalling flash-player-plugin and firefox through synaptic does  not solve the problem (though note that PCLOS works with rpm files, not  deb files. apt4rpm does not support the remove --purge operation,  however reinstalls are said to overwrite custom configs with stock  ones.)
Creating a new firefox profile and/or starting FFox in safe-mode  does not solve the problem
Creating another user and running FFox from that user will  properly display flash videos
Comparing default plugins between my main user and new user shows  that there is no difference. So this likely rules out a defective  extension or plugin binary.
Deleting ~/tmp/plugtmp* folders when FFox is closed does not solve  the problem.
Removing the ~/.macromedia and ~/.adobe folders does not solve the  problem. (have checked permissions between the new test user and main  user, and they are equivalent)
Downloading libflashplayer.so from the Adobe website and copying it  to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins has no effect on the problem.
I'm thinking that there might be somewhere else that flash stores  configurations for my user, and that maybe the settings there are  corrupted and would need to be purged. However frantic googling has  turned up nothing useful so far.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?

The problem, at least in my case, was QtCurve's opacity. If I have opacity set to less than 100%, flash would not display for sites like Youtube and Vimeo, but worked elsewhere.
The solution for me was to go into qtcurve's settings, and put npviewer.bin in the application exceptions section for window and menu opacity. Doing that, I was able to keep my transparent menus, and also use flash everywhere.
You can find out what the application name is by launching your browser of choice in a terminal with qtcurve debug turned on, like so:
    QTCURVE_DEBUG=1 firefox
If you watch through the lines that start with "QtCurve" you'll see "Application name". Look for the one that shows up when you try to load a video. In my case it was npviewer.bin. In yours, it might be nspluginviewer or something else. If you add an exception for that specific application, you'll fix your problem without having to compromise on your theme.
