Flash Player crashes when watching online video on Win 7
Hi.
I have just built a new machine and it's got a pretty good spec but I've been having this problem since I installed windows 7.
I have tried 64-bit first and then 32-bit version but still had the same problem.
I can be watchingonline content such as a programme on BBC iplayer or 4OD ( or any other site you'd care to mention) and at some point the whole screen freezes and i'm left with no choice but to press the reset button.
I'm fairly confident that i've narrowed this problem down to flash player (but not 100% sure).
This will occur several time per day & is driving me nuts. Everything else about the machine works great but online videos are a nightmare.
Any suggestions anyone?
Your help will be much appreciated.
P.S.
Yes I do have the latest version flash player.
Hi.
No, nothing works.
Just went in to event viewer and it's saying something about an atikmdag error.
Been googling and this seems to be linked to ati video cards.
also stuff about Kernel 41 error but from what i can figure out.. this is a very generalised error.
Maybe it's not flash? But why does it only happen during streaming?
Getting wound up with this.
Want to buy a new videocard to see if that would work but i can't afford to waste the money if its not the problem.
Why didn't i just buy a basic Dell?

Flash player crashes when opening a video
A user with Windows XP Pro (32 bit) appears to successfully install Flash Player, and short flash sequences embedded in web pages seem to display OK. But any time she tries to play a video from within a browser she gets the message "The Adobe Flash Player has crashed" and the video will not play.
We've tried uninstalling Flash Player then reinstalling in both Firefox and IE. Firefox 3.6.27, IE8, Shockwave Flash 11.2.102.55
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
DavidIt didn't work for me either:
Using FireFox 10.0.2 and Flash Player 11.1.102.62 (or any other combination that I have tried so far) on Windows 7 64 bit, after a few seconds of playing a YouTube video the video freezes up and after a few more seconds I get the frowny face with the message that Flash Player has crashed. Several people have recommended disabling hardware acceleration but that didn't help. The only way I can get it to play YouTube videos is to go to FireFox Plugins and disable the Shockwave plugin. Now I can play YouTube videos, but some videos that come to me from other platforms pop up with the message: "This plugin is disabled."
I used to be able to play all videos with no problem up to about two weeks ago. I don't want to have to restore to a previous time if I don't have to.
Also, when I use Internet Explorer I have no problems playing either YouTube of those from other sources.
I have seen a lot of questions on this problem but no good answers that have worked for me.
BTW, on each crash I clicked on reload and submit report, but don't know if it goes anywhere. -
Flash Player crashes when losing network connection
My flash player crashes every time i lose internet connection. That happens alot, because the networks i use keep jumping between eachother and they suck, quite frankly, but it's out of my control.
I got alot of tabs up, 24/7, all using flash player, so when it crashes, that sucks.
No, it doesn't crash because of the amount of tabs i have open, or the load on it. It happens when i have only 1 tab open too, barely using flash player ..
So, is there anything i can do about this?
This didn't happen with the older versions of adobe (I mean alot older, don't remember at which version this started happening, this/last year atleast) ..
Im running Windows 7 32 bit. But it happens on my Win XP 32-bit computers and Win 7 64-bit computer too.So i have the same virus on all my 4 computers?
1 computer has a updated version of the latest Symantech antivirus, and 1 has an updated version of the latest AVG antivius. They should've found a virus if i had one. And i haven't visited any "suspicious" sites, downloaded anything "suspicious", and have all ads blocked .. The chance of it being a virus is equal to zero.
When the computer changes from a network (With connection and internet access) to a different network (With connection and internet access) real quick, then it usually doesn't crash.
But when it changes from a network (With connection and internet access) to a network (With connection, but hotspot, so no internet access before i enter the password and username in a new tab/window) it crashes. Same happens if i simply click "Disconnect" when im on a network.
It doesn't however do that if i go into "Work offline" mode before disconnecting, but it crashes then when i reconnect to a different network, and go back into working online.
This is an adobe problem, no virus.
Happens with both Firefox 3.6, Firefox 4, Google chrome and IE (Whichever version it was i had) .. -
Flash Player crashes when going into full screen mode
Hey guys! It's basically as the title implies. Whenever I am watching a video and attempt to go into full screen mode, flash player crashes and I get an error window reading "Adobe Flash Player 11.3 r300 has stopped working". As a matter of fact, it doesn't even happen all the time. It happens most of the time, however. It has happened even immediately after searching for and installing the newest version. What might be causing this and what can I do to resolve it? I am using Windows 7 32-bit and Firefox as my browser.
Thanks in advance friends!this may be hardware related. try unselecting "Hardware Acceleration..."
right click a movie or flash content and uncheck the box in the first tab in Settings. quit out of the browser and try fullscreen again. -
Flash player crashes when I launch swf in debug mode
Not sure whether this is a bug on the player side or flash builder side, but when I export and debug the flash player crashes. This means I cant trace and debug.

I was using this site as a test site. It allso didn"t work on the Adobe site. The page was the one you receive after you finish installing the upgrade.

Since the last Firefox update, flash player crashes when I start my cam
When I start my webcam in a chat room, Adobe Flash Player crashes. If I do not start my cam, everything is fine. I have the latest versions of Firefox and Flash Player. I have windows 98
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== I installed the most recent updateI have the same problem as well, however, I have noticed that the issues seem to be local to specific sites.
In my case, its tinychat.com, and tokbox.com. I have no problems getting into Tinychat, but when I try to cam up or even access the settings in regards to the camera dialog, adobe crashes.
So far, I can chat and cam anywhere else I please with no issues that Ive found.
Another thing i noticed, is it worked fine the first time i logged into Tinychat, but on the next subsequent visit, it was broken and remained so after. -
Flash player crashes when adjusting audio volume
MacBook Pro, OS X Version 10.9.5
Safari internet browser, version 7.1
I am taking online classes via megameeting.com. When loading the classroom, flash works perfectly fine. However, as soon as I adjust the computer's audio volume (either by pressing the keyboard button or manually clicking and dragging the volume adjustment slider bar on my desktop), I immediately get a white screen with a gray "plugin failure" message.
I can run the same classroom simultaneously on the same computer utilizing google chrome, and flash does not crash on the chrome browser when I adjust the volume.
I followed the directions to perform a clean uninstall and reinstall (running Flash version 15), and I still have the same problem. My settings are set to allow internet plugins. So far, I have not detected this problem where adjusting the audio volume crashes flash on other websites. Any help?Hi Gboyaj,
I've reported this bug 2 weeks back but it seems adobe doen't takes it seriously. Because no response bij adobe yet.
So please vote for this bug!

Flash Player crashes when accessing my webcam
Hello,
I am using about 20 different HP Elitepad 900 G1 tablets (all 32 bit OSes). On each one, when signing into MegaMeeting and being prompted to access the webcam, IE stops responding. When I try the same thing in Firefox, it states that Flash Player has encountered an error and to reload the page, which it then promptly encounters the same error.
I have confirmed that I have the most up to date flash player, tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating my drivers and confirmed that on another Flash based site (Chatroulette) that the error occrus, as well as confirmed that the camera app (Windows 8.0) and Skype both function just fine with the web cam.
At this point, I am at a loss because beyond this, there are no problems utilizing flash for the meeting, just that they cannot join with voice/video and that is the point of the meetings.
Posted below are the DXDIAG files as well as the version of flash that I have installed, and I am just looking for some assistance in confirming what I can do to get this working.
Thank you all very much!

<media source CLSID>Finally found the issue, but unfortunately I am not sure if this will help in your particular case, since you are using a 3rd party software. You can however contact the developer with this information and hopefully they can send you a patch.
The default size of the Camera object in Flash is 160x120, but this resolution seems to be too low for the Intel driver. Additionally, if the Width property is smaller than the Height property (portrait mode), it seems to also cause the crash.
In our application, we simply resized the camera object to 640x400 and it solved our problem.
Before calling the Camera object, a simple line of code can be added:
Camera.setMode(640x400,15,true);
and it resolved the issue on the Dell Venue 8 Pro and Acer W4.
I hope this helps solving your problem! -
Flash Player Crashes When Allowing Websites To Access Camera?
Hey,
This problem has happened to me for a long time and it's getting quite annoying now and I'd like to solve it.
If I go to record a video from webcam on YouTube, as soon as I click "allow" to let it access my camera and microphone, Google Chrome tells me "The following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash". If I try on Firefox, the whole browser crashes...
Why is this, and how do I fix it?
Thanks.Well, AOL and it's problems are certainly something no one needs, so that's good you don't have it.
If there was something that Flash Player couldn't cope with, then I suppose you could say no one would be uploading to youtube and we know that is not the case:-)
Now as far as web cam compatibility, that would be with youtube requirements. Flash Player works thru the browser, so
any plug-in affects it.
When you have the correct Flash Player files installed and the plug-in then if there is a problem with Flash Content on a site or as in your case, it is not Flash Player. It is something else. Finding that something else is what we are trying to do.
Some plug-in, Firewall, ad block, pop up blocker is conflicting. Now youtube requirements must be taken into consideration. There are many variables.
Also when you installed AVG, did you remove the previous Anti-Virus/Spyware first? If not, there may well be some files still containing that.
Every hardware and software program has requirements. What I'm trying to get you to see is that if you don't meet the requirements, then what else you have installed doesn't matter. So check with youtube's requirements first, then try what I previously suggested.
The issue you have now is not Flash Player, since you have installed the correct Flash Player files and the SWF plug-in.
It is something else, but what that something else is I don't know. I've just tried to give you some info of what it may be.
Thanks,

RAM usage by Adobe Flash Player spikes when playing online flash games with 3D graphics
Hi. I have recently noticed a spike in RAM usage by my flash player plug-in whenever I play online flash games that use a 3D graphics engine (for example, Farmville 2 and Chefville by Zynga). Apart from the numerous times I receive an error message that the plug-in has failed, my RAM usage goes above 70% from the regular 40% with the plug-in consuming more than 1Gb. I have experienced the problem with the updated version of Adobe Flash Player on the newest releases of Firefox, Chrome and RockMelt. This spike in usage usually leads to a crash of my GPU (ATI Mobility Rabeon 4650 - 2Gb) My specs are as follows:
OS - Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Processor - Core i5
Speed - 2.27 GHz
RAM - 4.00Gb (3.86 Gb usable)
HDD - 500 Gb (465 Gb usable)
I should also note that the required specifications for the latest version of Flash Player (11.7.700.202) requires processing speeds of 2.33Ghz. Could that be the issue? I am still to attempt downgrading of my Flash version to see if that could help reduce the RAM usage. Are there any other suggestions out there?Hmmm... Win 7 will run faster than Mavericks with 8Gb. Even my Vm of 7 runs faster once I get it past all the startup processes.
It may or may not be a connectivity problen since Windows uses a different protocol, even though it's on the same hardware. Usually though, what affects OS X will affect BootCamp too.
What browser? -
Adobe Flash Player Flickers when watching Fox Business Full screen
I am using Windows 7 (64 Bit) and IE 10. When I go to Fox Business I can watch fine in small screen but when I go to full screen the Adobe Flash Player icon shows up in the taskbar and the screen flickers until I hit escape and revert back to small screen.
I have tried all 7 suggestions in your help section and none help. There exists an Add-On named "Turn off the light". Have you installed it?

Mac Mini crashes when watching a video online
I have a Mac Mini Model (2,1) with Mac OS X (10.6.2).
Environment:
I use my mac mini as an HTPC. I use a DVI to HDMI converter to connect to a 1080p projector. I use WIRED connection to connect to internet. The sound output is connected to my receiver.
Problem Description:
Recently, I have been experiencing system freeze and unexpected reboots while watching videos online. So I decided to do a fresh install of Snow Leopard. For about 5 days, the system worked fine and I was able to watch videos through YouTube, NBC, FOX etc.. The system started crashing again and the following is what i see in the CONSOLE.log file
* launchd[1] has started up *
(com.apple.Kerberos.renew.plist[100]) Exited with ext code: 1
Can someone help...
Thanks
KrisOur 1 year old mini also crashed trying to watch a tv show from the internet - after about 5 minutes of the show it started automatically rebooting over and over again (10 + times). Now I can't get it to start up at all. We use this with our HDTV as an entertainment machine

Mac/Browser crashes when viewing online videos (any browser)
Hi,
I've had this problem for a little while, and I'm not sure what exactly it is. Sometimes when I view a video online, whether it's Flash or Silverlight, Hulu or Netflix, the video will crash. Sometimes it's just the video, other times it's the browser, and other time it's my Mac. I've tried this on Chrome, Firefox and Safari, and it happens on all three. I thought it might be a video card issue, but I can play that are on a drive fine, and it doesn't happen when I'm editing video with Adobe Premiere.
Any suggestions?
Stats:

Ibook crashed when watching yahoo video
Hi anyone out there,
I have an ibook G4 made in the end of 2005. Running Tiger 1.4.11. Recently I was watching a news clip on Yahoo and it crashed Safari and then froze the cursor. When I went to repower I got a spinning wheel and the computer wouldn't reboot. . I then opened the drive with Allsoft Disc warrior and rebuilt the drive. It has been working fine for 4 days now and suddenly it did the same thing again today. This time when it crashed Safari I was given a box with error message that said to restart the computer. I did so and then the wheel just spun and I figured I will have to Disc warrior again. All I did was put the disc in while it was on the grey page w/ apple logo and it booted up Does anyone have a clue as to what's happening??Does this iBook have the original hard drive in it? If so, it is getting to be 4-5 years old. The average useful life of a hard drive is 3-5 years, so if it's the original, it's likely getting pretty long in the tooth.
First thing to do--back up your data and keep it backed up.
Next, go to Disk Utility and see what the S.M.A.R.T. status of your drive is. For a detailed look, download S.M.A.R.T. Utility. You can download the demo and run it several times for free.

My guess is that your hard drive is going south and will need to be replaced.
Good luck! -
Can someone advise me why safari keeps crashing when watching youtube videos?
Safari report after the crash states that something may be wrong with my flashplayer plug-in 10.4 and 10.5.
First of all I cant update to that version because I have the imac 10.5.8 ios and can only upgrade to 10.3 version so why is it giving me that message???
I have yet to find an explanation nor a solution for this so if anyone thinks they have an answer I will be more than grateful to hear it.You have a Mid 2010 15-inch MacBook Pro, and the log is showing a problem with the NVIDIA GPU. "GPU Panic" means a GPU issue.
Mid 2010 15-inch MacBooks Pro have got a defective NVIDIA GPU that may cause unexpected restarts, black screens, kernel panics... Read > http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4088
Apple is repairing all of these MacBooks Pro for free if they were purchased less than 3 years ago, so make a backup of your files with Time Machine and take the MacBook Pro to an Apple Store or reseller. I recommend you to print the log
