Flash Player Display Speed.

Hi.
Not too sure if this will make any difference, but.
I am running a pretty good spec PC Intel 3.40 HT CPU, with Win XP Pro 32Bit, and SP3 with IE8 32 Bit  and all up-dates. I have the latest drivers etc for my Mobo and 512MB Graphics Card etc, and I have 3GB or RAM.
I was wondering if you thought I might be able to speed up the display of a Flash Player screen from a web site on my screen, I have tried with Hardware Acceleration On and Off, and allowing Full download in the Options settings in Flash-player. I find it can be terribly laggy at times, and I was wondering if anything could be done to help the fluidity.
I have the latest Flash-player installed, which I believe is version 10.1
Any thoughts or suggestions would be most welcome.
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions at all.
Steve.

  • Flash Player displays jerking motions on TV movie

I watched TV movie that requires Flash on N900. The movie stream was displayed in jerking motion manner. Could anyone explain to me why and what i need to do to improve the movie watching experience? Any suggestion appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

    psrkn -
I have been experiencing exactly the same issues as you have been.  However I seem to be able to be able to watch Youtube stuff anywhere within my house, upstairs or down.  I have a small prog/widget installed which can tell me the quality of my WiFi but haven't taken the time out to monitor this yet.  My wife's PC is connected upstairs via ethernet as I could not get the pc to work with several wireless lan cards I bought.  However my laptop is good for wifi connection anywhere and friends who stay also say my wifi connection is good too.
So I think maybe the N900's signal reception may not be as good - I have concluded like as has been stated that this problem is WiFi related.  I say that because replay of HD video stuff downloaded onto the N900 is superb.  Clarity and sound quality is the best I've enjoyed from a handheld device and with no stuttering or sound dropouts into the bargain
What I would like to enquire about is the various Internet Connection Settings and also the Browser settings.
Could someone talk us through what each of the settings mean like for example "power-saving" and the stuff in the browser settings about pausing java etc etc.
Could these be related to this problem somehow?
I am toying with the idea of setting up another Router upstairs in my property to act as an acess point, working inline with the one downstairs - imho wifi signal boosting is a waste of time - it's never got me anywhere.
Would like to know more about WiFi issues and ways to overcome them
    Thanks for posting this issue

I use windows 8.1 with a 64-bit operating system and and a x64-based processor. The browser is Firefox 35.0.1 and the Adobe Flash 16.0.0.305. • Flash Player only stays installed for one use

I am using a Mac G4 Dual 1.25ghz MDD with OS 10.4.10 and both
Safari 2.0.4 and Firefox 2.0.0.6 Browsers. I install Flash Player 9
OSX, then the Browser works fine. I quit the Browser, relaunch it
and any file requiring Flash Player displays as a Quicktime Q
symbol with a Question Mark superimposed it. I have to install
Flash Player before each use of either browser to be able to view
files requiring flash player. The problem does not exist with
Internet Explorer 5.2. Any Suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks
    ahead of time.

Problem still exists on both Firefox and Safari, but not on
Explorer. I have done restarts, re-installs of Flash, Permissions
repairs. Nothing I have tried so far seems to be permanent. I have
the install flash player on my desk top. I re-install to start up
my default browser. It will work until I close the browser, then
not work when I re-open it.

  • Adobe flash player either hangs or crashes in Firefox

Adobe flash player either hangs up the web browser Firefox or crashes within Firefox.  This has been occurring for about a year even though Firefox and the adobe flash player have been updated and upgraded many times over the last year.  Multiple crash reports have been sent to either Adobe or Firefox (I am not sure which one actually gets the crash report) but it appears someone knows about this issue since I seem to be getting more pop up boxes from Firefox now when the Windows 7 system seems to hang (no response from mouse when I try to close the Firefox browser window).  The pop up box states that Adobe flash player is not responding or in a loop so when I respond to the pop up window to cancel the task all the flash player displays in all of the open Firefox browser sessions crash.  However, if I use google chrome and the same ESPN videos that use Adobe flash player so far I have not seen the same issue of hangs or crashes.  So, is this a known issue with Adobe flash player and/or Firefox or has it just never been fixed correctly?

I use Firefox, which is a leading browser, I think we'd say, and I think I had far fewer plug-ins until I updated to the new Adobe Flash Player today.  As for your challenge to come up with a plugin, I'm a poor sucker who's developed nothing more in my lifetime that Word and Excel docs. I'm totally at the mercy of what all software developers throw at the public.  As for crap on my computer, I've tried to get rid of everything I can, crap or not, just in case it could affect Adobe Crash. Do you see anything here that looks suspicious?

  • Flash Player in browser goes blank

I've been running an Internet radio station since 2006 and use the Flash Player for the audio playback stream in my browser and have never had any problems until now.
About three weeks ago, no matter what version of Flash Player is being used (and also including YouTube videos and similar), after approximately 4-7 hours of continuous play all of the Flash Players stop (in the instances when I was listening when a player stopped, a buzz is heard when the audio stops) and every browser page with a Flash Player displays a blank space where the player goes (In YouTube a circle with an exclamation mark displays). I have done various troubleshooting and testing for the past several weeks, but can't seem to work out a fix for this problem.
As a reference here is a screen shot of the player displaying a blank field:
    http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/5/14/2442263//Screen_shot_2011-01-25_at_4.23.30_AM.png
Here's an additional screen shot displaying the Flash Player* normally:
    http://www.fileden.com/files/2009/5/14/2442263//Screen_shot_2011-01-26_at_2.00.40_PM.png
*Note, Flash Player is the bottom player. Top Player is Windows Media Player and doesn't play on a Mac, so is not of issue.
Any insight or fix for this problem would be appreciated. Thank you
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.6.6)   Safari Browser 5.0.3

I am very surprised no one has responded to this post? Certainly, there must be others who have experienced this problem. I am, however, assuming this may be a problem isolated to Mac users with the i7 quad processor using Snow Leopard OSX version10.6.6, as I never encountered this problem before I had the new processor and OS.
I recently tested on Google Chrome and the problem happens there too, so Safari (v5.0.4), Firefox (v3.6.15) and Google Chrome (v10.0.648.151) all have instances of Adobe Flash failing after anywhere from 4-9 hours or so, give or take.
Can anyone shed any light on how to remedy this problem? I would like to get back to Adobe Flash working infinitely, as before, and never stopping.
    Thank you.

  • How do I stop Adobe Flash Player from crashing my computer whenever I play a flash video using Mozilla?

Whenever I try to play a flash video my PC completely crashes or freezes.

If Flash videos actually crash your entire computer, rather than causing [[The Adobe Flash plugin has crashed]] notice, try this:
Turn off hardware acceleration in your Flash Player display settings (Right-click on any Flash video, click "Settings", select the Display tab and uncheck “Enable hardware acceleration".

  • Firefox wants newer Flash player but my machine doesn't meet Flash 10.2 CPU speed

Just installed Firefox 3.6 and it says I need to update Flash player plug-in, but my machine doesn't meet the current Flash player 10.2 system requirements, ie for CPU speed. My CPU is 1.7 GHz. New Flash wants something like 2.4 GHz. I have 128 MB of dedicated graphics.
IE does display flash content, using Flash active X plug-in, 10.0.32.18
    Otherwise like Firefox.

Update to the latest version of Flash that is compatible with your system. (probably 10.1 r102) After that ignore Mozilla's messages about needing to update Flash.
IE uses a different version of Flash (ActiveX) than other browsers use (Plugin), so it's like comparing apples and oranges.

  • How do I solve this problem:Photo's no longer displayed (Adobe Flash player 13,0,0,214) in online photo album maker (Webprint.nl) after update to Firefox 29.0.1

After I (automatically) updated to Mozilla Firefox version 29.0.1, the online photo album crreator of Webprint.nl no longer displayes the photo's that I uploaded.
The photo's are displayed again when I use an older Firefox browser (version 28.*) from an another computer. This is my old (WIndows Vista) computer that I use when my new Windows 7 computer has problems.
It looks like the new Firefox has a problem with Adobe Flash player 13,0,0,214; which is the newest version according to Adobe.
    Please help!

I took video of the issue and have now linked to it.  In the video, I show two browser tabs - one from this site and one from a Bank of America (BoA) site with a flash object.  You can see how the BoA flash object disappears when I make that tab active.

Thanks for the reply and the link.  The driver update did not work because it says I have the latest one installed - even though the driver date is 10/8/2009.  It's the Intel(R) Graphics Media Accelerator HD, version 8.15.10.1968.
Can you believe that...the latest is from 2009?!  I tried to install an updated version anyway - first by going to the Intel site.  I found a driver update from Jan 2012 that matches my system, but the install aborts with the error message "A customized computer manufacturer driver is installed on your computer. The Intel Driver Update Utility is not able to update the driver."
So, I searched through the HP support site and finally found a link to my computer:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/product?product=4121236&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&task=&lang=e n&cc=us
And I downloaded and installed the "same" driver anyway:
Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD Driver ►
    2009-12-04 , Version:8.15.10.1968 B, 29.91M
This package contains the driver for the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator HD in the supported notebook/laptop models.
But it does not correct the problem.
Maybe this problem is because of an old graphics driver - but this is apparently a dead end for me.
Is there any possibility it is caused by something else?

  • Macbook Pro Retina Display and Flash Player major issues

    Hello,
Apple has recently released Macbook Pro's with Retina displays.
I have tested my Flash application on the new laptop, and this is what I observe:
    1. My Flex SDK Flash application looks blurry and strange when I try to check it out from any Macbook Pro with Retina display, while looking sharp and OK from all other machines.
On this screenshot you can sort of see the issue:
    http://i.imgur.com/UXHd4.png
(Expand the image to the actual size, and compare the Flex SDK components with browser labels. Browser labels look crisp, Flex SDK components look a little bit blurry.)
    2. It is no longer possible to click on anything in Flash Player Dialogs, such as:
    * Flash Player Settings
    * Webcam or microphone allow/deny dialog
    * All other dialogs (peer-to-peer access, etc)
This issue makes it impossible to use video chat applications on Macbook Pro Retina's because users can't click allow/deny when requested for audio/video access.
I have submitted reports about this to Adobe BugBase here:
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3224151
    https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3224147
    Please fix these issues.
    Andrey

@nvhdab - If you haven't already, can you please add a bug on your issue over at bugbase.adobe.com  If it's the same as 3224151 then it sounds like it's going to be fixed soon.  I'm trying to find out exactly when, but it might be in the 11.7 release now (4/2/2013 - Flash Player 11.7.700.170 Beta)
@scottclayton - I'm going to ask the team to revisit the click issue.  I don't have a retina display so I can't confirm the issue.  Thank you though for putting up the workaround.
