Flash player doesn't see built in iSight cam

Using an app that I want to give access to my cam and mic. iMac OSX10.6.3, Firefox 3.6.3., built-in iSight cam. Dialog box asking me to allow/deny comes up, but I can't click on anything.
Right click, click settings, can't make any changes to that dialog box either.
Went to Adobe Flash Player site, settings manager, Global Security Settings tab, typed website into box and set for allow. Note: on this tab there is a lock showing, but still allowed me to put site in.
Site is also "allow"ed on Privacy Settings Panel.
Camera Settings does not show iSight camera, but only Logitech Cam (which is not on computer). Same for microphone tab.
This also happens with Safari, and on my Macbook Pro, which is in a different location and a different network and ISP. At one point, I got it to allow access tby the website, but it still didn't recognize the camera. Reinstalled Flash Player and now back to square 1.

OK, I'm familiar with the VW. I didn't know Igor had switched to Mac.
I get this when I try to open the bb uploader in Firefox:
It is a static popup, meaning I can neither click allow or deny, nor can I close the window. Only option is to close the page itself. This on a MacBook Pro (late 2009 Unibody, 13" with built in iSight and Flash Player 10.0.45.2 (browser plugin).
I'd have to say the trouble isn't with the MacBook, or with Flash, but Igor's software in the bb upload. My Vista machine with a Logitech, initializes immediately after I click Allow, which I can't even do with the Mac.
As an aside, the VW does have the option to upload from your HD. You can simply take the pic using PhotoBooth, and upload it.

I was able to initialize the bb uploader using Safari, and selecting USB Video Class Video in the advanced settings.
Looks like it may be an issue with Firefox.

Built in isight camera not working with flash

My built in isight camera on my macbook works just fine in photobooth and in skype or ichat.. but just in the past week or so, it will not work when im on websites that use flash. I've seen some threads that say that I need to go into settings and make sure that the camera chosen is the USB. When i go into flash settings, the only options are Google1, Google2, or Built in isight. It doesn't work with any of them. Does anyone have any idea how I can make it work again?

Your problem is not the same as that posted by the OP, and your system info shows you using Mac OS X (10.5.6).
For your symptoms with this system, I suggest you do the following:
(1) Apply the 10.5.8 Combo Update using the following process:
• Backup your Mac and turn off Time Machine
• Disconnect peripherals and restart Mac
• Use Disk Utility to repair permissions
• Download and install

• Repair permissions again immediately following the restart that finishes the update.
• Test whether Flash works for you now.
(• Turn Time Machine on later when you are satisfied that the update worked.)

Also check any other third-party browser plugins or other add ons. Apply all available updates and uninstall any third-party items that are known to be incompatible with your system.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the ''Safe mode'' start window.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (on Mac: "Firefox > Quit")

After update flash player doesn't work most of the time

About 2 weeks ago I installed a flash player security update and ever since then flash player doesn't work most of the time. On most websites with embeded video all I see is an empty placeholder where the video is supposed to be.
If I go to a site like Youtube all is fine. However, if I go to a site that has embeded a Youtube video all I see is the empty placeholder where the video is supposed to be.
Some folks have recommended I uninstall and download and reinstall. The problem with this is that there isn't *anything* related to Abobe flash player in Add/Remove programs.
Not sure what to do about this (read: I'm totally lost!).

The standard warranty is for 12 months from the date of purchase, unless you bough AppleCare which would have extended it to 2 years.
If it's out of warranty, then you pay for repairs, and it's expensive. There are 3rd party repairers who are cheaper.

As the previous poster said, it's more than likely a hardware issue, but there's no harm in trying the software fixes before you decide it needs repair.

Flash Player doesn't work, on either IE or Firefox. Vista 32 bit, Firefox 10.0.2, Shockwave Flash 11.1.102.62. Reloaded Firefox and Flash. I get the spinning circle, but video never starts on IE or FF. Settings manager works. I'm at a loss. Update - actually it works on most video now, except Fox Sports or ESPN, either IE of FF.

After browsing the forums a bit, it would appear that this has been an ongoing problem for more than a month and the only 'inquiry' on the part of Adobe that I can find is one gentleman consistently asking people to report through the adobe bug/crash report process

While I'm certain there have been many, many reports offered up, we have yet to see any solutions from the company, and admissions that there are issues with this product, or any ETA on expecting a reliable, stable version of Flash.
It would be very nice to have some feedback formally from the company. Many users (including myself) are experiencing frequent BSOD, having to spend hours uninstalling, reinstalling and aimlessly troubleshooting our computers all because of this add-in.
I recently updated every single hardware driver from my manufacturer, flashed my BIOS, troubleshot memory through self-diagnostics for days, and i still have issues related to Flash. I've tried the quick fixes suggested by (not sure if he's an Adobe official voice) user 'Chris' to no avail.
Certainly I could offer my dump file, by what good will that do me? Adobe, you certainly have enough crash reports to make SOME progress, please offer us up something, even if it's just to update us on any progress or research? All we know is you want information from us, while we still have nothing from you

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 7. Back up all data before making any changes.

Flash Player Doesn't Play on Some Websites. I can see the play button and volume etc but selecting play doesnt do anything on some websites. I have the NSZ-GS7 Sony Internet Player with Google Tv/Google Play. I installed the latest firmware and I believe it carries Flashplayer 10.2.164.113
I can only watch some programs on au.tv.yahoo.com/plus7 . This website supports Flashplayer 10+ and also supports Google Play. So I do not understand why I cant watch. Do I just need to change some settings?
Also, cant watch on www.jump-in.com.au/ and I can see a still image of the video, i can see the big play button in the middle but selecting it will not do anything.

I typed chrome://plugins" in the address bar but that didnt do anything and just gave me blank white screen.
I did manage to get into the settings for Google Chrome another way and found the Plugins window but there was no option to "Always Allow". The only option I had was to either Enable or Disable.
I read something somewhere about changing a setting for the Unsandboxed plugin to "Always Allow". But I havent been able to get to this plugin in the setting options in Chrome.
Looks like I will be returning the product and getting myself an Apple TV device instead and use my Iphone to Airplay.

I have a windows 7 - 64 bit operating system. The flash player doesn’t work on my IE9 and it does work on Google Chrome. I have tried uninstalling the flash player and re installing the player. The download file doesn’t download when I try downloading through IE9and the file fails to initialize when I download the flash player for IE9 through google chrome. My antivirus software McAfee is not working because of the flash player and other softwares like yahoo messenger . Please help.

Assuming you've checked to make sure that Shockwave Flash is enabled in IE's addons manager and you do not have ActiveX filtering enabled, Could you check to see if you have the following Windows update installed?
KB2670838 – Platform Update for Windows 7 x64
If so, please uninstall it and try Flash Player out again.

Flash player doesn't work on some websites

Hi,
For some reason, video stays black on some websites, some other websites like youtube work. I applied the permissions fix that I found which worked at first but now the problem is back and this fix doesn't work anymore.
I tried everything from fresh install to using older version, nothing works.
I don't know what else to do.

For some reason flash player doesn't load the swf file with Shockwave Flash 11.4 r402 enabled, only the Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0 works.
Since the swf file was build to work fine with 10.2 from flash player version(build on flash builder 4.5), i really don't know what is happening

My Flash Player doesn't loop animations that are supposed to repeat theirselves.
It always stops at the last frame,
but this only happens to online animations.
Is there some feature where I could change that?

No, of course not.
I have two computers,
my old one still has the old Flash Player (I think), and the new one the new version.
The old computer plays the animation like it's supposed to be, unlike my new one.
That's impossible if it's missing/containing a command.

The online flash player doesn't let me fast forward

- I'm using windows 8, 64-bit
- I'm using Google Chrome as a default browser
- Tried all other browsers including IE, Firefox, Opera and safari, and all of them had the same problem
THE PROBLEM IS: The online flash player doesn't let me fast forward %70 of all movies on the same websites that used to be working fine before, beside that, everytime i try to fast forward it keeps rewinding to the beginning of the video, I tried uninstalling flash player from control panel and reinstalling it, restarting my pc and uninstalling chrome and reinstalling it too, but nothing.
