Flash Player download page broken?

Having successfully updated Java I have repeatedly attempted to update Flash Player. Whatever route I take to the download page, the "Download & Install" button is always missing.
Firefox 19.0.2, NoScript set to allow Adobe.com - sucessfully or the Java download page would have been kaput, ofc.
Please fix your website.
Regards
T.

Maybe it is incorrect but that is the only URL that Adobe's website routes me to. Since your reply I have tried (safter clearing the cache and the cookies)
Adobe.com > Download > Adobe Flash Player [in the dropdown menu]
and via
Adobe.com > Download [page]  > Get Flash Player [leftmost/uppermost of the 4 boxes on the LHS of the page].
Despite these and access via other routes through Adobe.com over, now, several hours, I have only seen this page and have never been redirected.
Please post what you belive id the correct URL, I will be pleased to try that.
PS I just checked the Shockwave player page (which I installed successfully after multiple attempts to download Flash Player - without any cache-clearing, etc.) & that displays the download button correctly.

System preferences firewall is off and apps are allowed from anywhere and in Safari other plug ins are allowed and cookies are not blocked and pop up windows are not blocked. Why won't Flash Player download?

Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time, this is where to DL it.

  • Error on Flash Player download page

    Dear Adobe,
I have discovered an error on the download page for flash:
On the page you are given the option to download other totally unrelated software such as McAfee and Google Chrome. And even worse you have to actively remove the checkmark to avoid downloading this 3rd party software before you hit the download button. Truly, this can't be the intended behaviour of the download page, as people go there solely to download the flashplayer and the page is advertised as having this function only.
Otherwise, if this is the intended behaviour of the page, Adobe should be very much ashamed of themselves. The only people actually downloading the 3rd party software are people who is either
    a) to much in a hurry to read the page and just hit the download button.
    b) inexperienced users that might not even discover that this 3rd party software is being installed.
It is never good customer care to force things on the costumers are not interested in and/or exploiting customers ignorence. Since I would never expect such a behaviour from solid and reputable coorporation as Adobe I can only assume that it in fact _is_ an error on the download page for the Flash player.
I'm expecting you to correct this error as soon as possible.
    regards,
    5une

  • When i go to update the flash player, i click after save to install flash player download, the box that pops up is completely blacked out?

please help, i cant update the flash player.

    Hi Rosa,
Please try the offline installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page, in the 'Still having problems' section.  There will be three (3) installers.  Since you're on Windows 8.x, ignore the installer for ActiveX Control, as Microsoft embeds Flash Player in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x systems.  You'll want to download the 'Flash Player for Firefox - NPAPI' installer file.  If you also use Opera browser you'll want to download the 'Flash Player for Opera - PPAPI' installer file.

  • Scam Flash Player Download Site

Apologies in advance if this is posted to the wrong forum.
Looking down the list, I couldn't find one that seemed more relevant.
There is a scam Flash Player download site at:
    flashplayer.10-downloadcenter.com/
Typing "flash," "flash player," "flash player 10," and other obvious search terms into Google brings the site up at the top of the page.
It is using graphics that look very much like Adobe's trademarks which can lead people to believe the site is connected with Adobe.  They are also using phrases such as "Flash Player 10" that would appear to be Adobe trademarks.  The first time I looked at the site, I thought I was at an Adobe page because the trademark appeared to be there, and there was no notice that an Adobe trademark was being used - something one almost always sees at sites where a trademark in use is not owned by the site. If I were Adobe, I'd have my magnifying glass going over that site, looking for infringement.  (Who knows - maybe they've already looked ... )
There is a lot of stuff on the page that could lead one to believe they are Adobe, offering enhanced software and services.  And - bingo - selling is what they are doing.  Get out your credit card to download their stuff - including Flash Player 9.
The trick, when reading the fine print, is that they are selling "memberships."  I wonder how many people have downloaded Flash Player from this site, believing they are buying it directly from Adobe.  My niece did.  She's trying to get the charge removed from her credit card as I type this message.

Further information regarding suspicious actions of this site.
The site had been asked to cancel the transaction within two hours of it taking place.  Some of the charges involved extra "premium" software sold along with the "Flash Player 10" download.  An extra ~$10 for software that would supposedly increase download speeds greatly.  The software all turned out to be PC only, with no mention of there being no Mac version, and no place to check.  The site indicated that Flash Player 10 would be downloaded, but all that was available was Flash Player 9 - which was probably already on the machine.  One also has to wonder whether their versions don't have zombie payloads.
An archive of the the purchase confirmation page was fortunately kept to save the confirmation numbers and other information.  Among the information on the page was the way the charge would appear on the charge card.  Checking the card company's invoice, no charge by that name existed.  But there was a charge with a completely different label for about the right amount.  Calling the (866) number got us to a phone center in India.  Sure enough, the mis-labeled charge was the charge in question. The customer service person said that the amount will be refunded within 7 days.  We'll see.
Note that an immediate request for cancellation had been made, so the charge shouldn't even have appeared.  The site boasts a 7-day money-back guarantee.
I hope that someone, somewhere, will look into this site.  I was looking for some kind of complaint link at Google, but haven't found one yet.  The site appears not only in the search results, but they run an ad at the top of the Google search page - very visible.
Once again, I hope Adobe will take a look at this highly questionable site.

  • Flash player download: download manager is blank

    Hi everyone,
I'm running in circles here trying to find a solution - not getting anywhere...
I'm trying to update my Flash Player for Firefox on Win7.
When I download the installer and the Adobe Download Manager opens, it shows nothing and is blank, nothing happens.
    Here a screen shot:
I have tried uninstalling Flash Player, but the same thing happens when reinstalling.
JavaScript is active, I've checked that. Any other solutions I have googled don't apply.
    Thanks in advance!

  • Flash Player download keeps failing with lost connection and then gives up.  satellite Internet connection

    Win XP. Firefox 34.0.5 (latest)
The Flash  Player download keeps failing with lost connection and then gives up.I am on a  satellite Internet connection.
It seems to be extremely slow even when loading the installer which is only 1MB. Then when I run the installer and it starts to download the installation there are frequent messages about losing the connection and then finally gives up.
I have had problems with other software failing when I am on a satellite link. This is most likely because of the huge latency which may be taken as a link failure. Ping times are typically 800ms but can be 2000ms sometimes!

    Hello,
The online shim installer, which you are using actually downloads and installs Flash Player silently in the background.  If your satelite connection is experiencing latency issues it could result in the failure to download.  Please try the full installer posted at the bottom of the Installation problems | Flash Player | Windows page, in the 'Still having problems' section.

The version of “Adobe Flash Player” on your system does not include the latest security updates and has been blocked. To continue using “Adobe Flash Player”, download an updated version from Adobe’s website.

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

  • Flash Player Downloads to Firefox but not Safari--Why???

For some unknown reason my Adobe Flash Player stopped working.  I followed all the instructions and managed to get the 10.3 Flash Player downloaded so that it would work with my Firefox browser. But when I tried to  use my Safari browser to access YouTube a message said that I'd have to install Adobe Flash Player..  So I followed the instructions again, and a message said that "installation ws successful" yet when I tried to see videos on YouTube with Safari it claimed that I had not installed the Flash Player.  I am using OS X5.8. The only
change I made in my system was switching from Java 5.0 to Java 6.0.  Would that have any impact on the Flash Player installation?  Thank you very much for your help.
