Flash player download won't pass integrity check

I'm trying to update my flash player. I used the adobe 'remover', rebooted then tried to download version 10.0.45.2 but it won't pass the integrity check. I'm tried with firefox first (clicking the 'allow' notices) then tried with internet explorer. I disabled my firewall, avast anti-virus as well as my ad-aware before the attempt. Any suggestions? I currently have NO player at all

Hi, you could refer to this thread that I posted instructions for FF and IE  regarding Flash Player.
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/581376?tstart=0
I would suggest that you read over the Uninstall instructions and with IE, pay particular attention to the last NOTE at the end of the article.
If you have any questions before you start, just post back.
Thanks,

  • Flash player Download won't open

  • Flash Player download won't launch

On http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ when I click on the download and install button the timer bar runs for a second or two as if downloading but then returns me to the download page and stops. I imagine that it should go into the install routine automatically but it doesn't. There are no instructions to suggest that the system is waiting for user input. I am using Explorer 6 on Win2K.
Any ideas? I have two applications that I need but which require Flash to operate. Help would be very much appreciated.

Download the offline ActiveX installer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe; save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.

  • "AFP 10.3 download did not pass integrity check 162103.304.450"

We have attempted to download AFP enumerable times on a Dell Inspiron with Win Vista 32 bit.
We have followed so many suggested methods to download and trouble shoot that I cannot remember... 15, 20 or more....
And yes, security/antivirus were always disabled, and adobe uninstaller was used to uninstall any older version(s).
We also attempted to download an older version of AFP with no luck.
WTF mate... we used to use flashplayer on this unit but after adobe and other updates were installed recently, AFP does not work and we cannot download it...
BTW...  no, restoring to an older SRP time does not work either.
    Need help here badly...

    2. Download version 10.3.181.14
    3. Extract and open the folder navigating to fp_10.3.181.14_archive\10_3r181_14
    4. Run the installer flashplayer10_3r181_14_win.exe
    5. After the installation is complete, navigate to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and try again

  • Flash Player 9 Won't Install on MacOS X (Intel)

I received an alert trying to open a video on MSN that I
didn't have the Flash plugin installed (which I, in fact, did). I
clicked the link to download the new Flash 9 and was re-directed to
the Adobe Flash Player download page. I installed the player and it
seemed to go fine. However, now I get error messages when opening
pages containing Flash in Safari and Firefox stating that I don't
have the Flash plugin installed. I tried installing the plugin from
within Firefox, and it gives me a message every time stating that
the "Install Failed". I have used the Un-Installer, restarted
between un-installs and installs and I can't get the plugin to
install whatever I do. Using MacBook Pro, MacOSX 10.4.9, Safari
    2.0.4, Firefox 2.0.0.3
Can anyone help me out with this?
    Thanks.

You can enable Root using the instructions at:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106290
However, you shouldn't need to do this and doing so won't
necessarily resolve any underlying problem which might be
preventing you installing as desired. In the first instance, for
Firefox, I'd look at the following tech doc:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/4aa64290
For Safari, try removing the plug-ins for Flash in the
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder and try reinstalling afresh.
If this fails for either Firefox and Safari, I'd check that
there aren't any problems with the permissions on your startup disk
    using Disk Utility.
Hope that helps! Let me know if not and I'll see what I can
    come up with.

The version of “Adobe Flash Player” on your system does not include the latest security updates and has been blocked. To continue using “Adobe Flash Player”, download an updated version from Adobe’s website.

You haven't actually asked a question, but as stated you should only download Flash Player directy from Adobe.
Nor have you said what version of OS X and Safari you are running.
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

System preferences firewall is off and apps are allowed from anywhere and in Safari other plug ins are allowed and cookies are not blocked and pop up windows are not blocked. Why won't Flash Player download?

Don't DL Flash from web sites. If you have Adobe Flash installed it should be in System Preferences and you can find the latest version and download from there.
If you are installing for the first time, this is where to DL it.

After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser, but check this also:

  • Scam Flash Player Download Site

Apologies in advance if this is posted to the wrong forum.
Looking down the list, I couldn't find one that seemed more relevant.
There is a scam Flash Player download site at:
    flashplayer.10-downloadcenter.com/
Typing "flash," "flash player," "flash player 10," and other obvious search terms into Google brings the site up at the top of the page.
It is using graphics that look very much like Adobe's trademarks which can lead people to believe the site is connected with Adobe.  They are also using phrases such as "Flash Player 10" that would appear to be Adobe trademarks.  The first time I looked at the site, I thought I was at an Adobe page because the trademark appeared to be there, and there was no notice that an Adobe trademark was being used - something one almost always sees at sites where a trademark in use is not owned by the site. If I were Adobe, I'd have my magnifying glass going over that site, looking for infringement.  (Who knows - maybe they've already looked ... )
There is a lot of stuff on the page that could lead one to believe they are Adobe, offering enhanced software and services.  And - bingo - selling is what they are doing.  Get out your credit card to download their stuff - including Flash Player 9.
The trick, when reading the fine print, is that they are selling "memberships."  I wonder how many people have downloaded Flash Player from this site, believing they are buying it directly from Adobe.  My niece did.  She's trying to get the charge removed from her credit card as I type this message.

Further information regarding suspicious actions of this site.
The site had been asked to cancel the transaction within two hours of it taking place.  Some of the charges involved extra "premium" software sold along with the "Flash Player 10" download.  An extra ~$10 for software that would supposedly increase download speeds greatly.  The software all turned out to be PC only, with no mention of there being no Mac version, and no place to check.  The site indicated that Flash Player 10 would be downloaded, but all that was available was Flash Player 9 - which was probably already on the machine.  One also has to wonder whether their versions don't have zombie payloads.
An archive of the the purchase confirmation page was fortunately kept to save the confirmation numbers and other information.  Among the information on the page was the way the charge would appear on the charge card.  Checking the card company's invoice, no charge by that name existed.  But there was a charge with a completely different label for about the right amount.  Calling the (866) number got us to a phone center in India.  Sure enough, the mis-labeled charge was the charge in question. The customer service person said that the amount will be refunded within 7 days.  We'll see.
Note that an immediate request for cancellation had been made, so the charge shouldn't even have appeared.  The site boasts a 7-day money-back guarantee.
I hope that someone, somewhere, will look into this site.  I was looking for some kind of complaint link at Google, but haven't found one yet.  The site appears not only in the search results, but they run an ad at the top of the Google search page - very visible.
Once again, I hope Adobe will take a look at this highly questionable site.

  • Wll there be a flash player download for the ipad 2 at any point?

Wll there be a flash player download for the ipad 2 at any point

While no one can say with absolute certainty, at this time it appears to be highly unlikely that a version of Flash Player will ever appear for iOS. Adobe has said that they've given up work on a version for iOS, so unless they change their minds at some point, and can come up with a version that would meet Apple's criteria for performance, security and stability, then Kappy is correct that no, it won't happen.
    Regards.
