  • Windows 7 Speech Recognition causes Flash Player exception error in Firefox

    I have a strange problem.
My system is Windows 7 Ultimate X64 SP1.
Today I started working with Windows Speech Recognition. I found that if I have Speech Recognition running before I launch Firefox 30.0, I get a Flash Player Plug-in Exception error when I load certain websites.
The version of Flash Player (Shockwave Flash) is 14.0.0.14.
I also have SilverLight Plug-In 5.1.20913.0 installed and active.
The problem does not occur when I use IE 10.0.9200.16798 to load the same website.
One of the websites on which the error occurs is: www.bikeforums.net. The error appears as soon as the home page is finished loading.
The exact error reads as follows:
    FlashPlayerPlugin_14_0_0_145.exe - Application Error
The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000710) occurred in the application in location 0x774aa289.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    FW

    Hi,
Since IE works properly, it should not be Windows problem. Please try to check Firefox forum for an answer.

  • BBC Embedded Flash Player - Playback Error

    When trying to view video content on the BBC Online websites using an embedded player, I receive the following error regardless of what browser/OS I use;
This content doesn't seem to be working. Please try again later.
    The Flash Player detailed error information reads;
    Error code : 1024
    Severity : critical
Description : No further playback is possible following a mediation error
    Responsibility : MediaSelector
Could anyone advise a solution to this problem? I have Flash Player 16.0.0.305 installed.

I have this exact same issue.  I've recently built 3 computers for friends, this one I'm typing from being the third.
They're all using windows 7 64bit, all have the same hardware and the same basic software. I've built them about a month apart and the first 2 work perfectly.  This last one is having nothing but troubles with the exact issues described by the O.P. except my issues are across all browsers.
IE will play all youtube videos WITHOUT FLASH, but I can't play videos from a site like Steam.  So when I put in the newest flash player everything goes to pot.  Oddly enough though I will be able to play videos on steam, but that's because steam videos only have 1 resolution and don't try to auto-adjust.  Youtube starts to cycle through resolutions, restarting each time, before finally just quitting and giving an error message.  Again this happens in both FF and IE (I won't put the spyware known as chrome on any machine).
I've tried every fix and solution I can find for 2 days now and I'm at my wit's end.  If I see one suggestion for hardware acceleration I'm going to snap! lol.  No spyware, no malware, tried hardware acceleration, tried the official uninstall tool, have uninstalled both browsers (diabled IE from the control panel, I realize that it can't be uninstalled per se), have deleted cookies, deleted a specific windows update that someone mentioned was corrupt. I've done the hokey pokey, sacrificed a goat, thrown salt over my shoulder, and eaten a spoonful of sugar.
I'm about ready to try a fresh install.  I just cannot figure out why this computer is having so many problems with flash and every other computer I've done in the last year and a half (around 12) has gone smooth as silk.

  • I am not able to download Flash Player--- the error message is Internet Explorer should be closed

I am unable to download Flash Player ===== the error message says that Internet Explorer should be closed----  how would I get to Adobe.com if Internet Explorer is not open?

You download the installer (http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe) and save it to disk, then close all Internet Explorer windows and run the downloaded installer.

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 Errors (Safari and Games)

    Hello,
Sometimes, when watching Flash videos on YouTube or other sites that have flash videos embedded, Adobe Flash Player 10 errors come up with the option to either 'Dismiss All' or 'Continue' is provided. Sometimes, Safari crashes and I have to relaunch when I choose either option, but sometimes the video keeps playing when I press either button and nothing happens.
Usually, this problem hasn't been affecting me but I recently got the Sims 3 and when I'm at the Game Launcher window, before I can click the play button, this Flash Error pops up. When I click Dismiss All/Continue, the game says I am running an unauthorized version and there will be limited features. Then the game quits. This only happens sometimes but is quite annoying.
    The error that occurred was:
    +Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.+
Can someone help me out here?
Do I need to reinstall the Flash plugin or Flash CS4?
    Thanks!

    Hi
Yes, a reinstall of Flash would be a good start. First, uninstall Flash. You can get the uninstaller here.
Next, install the latest version of Flash.
Once the installation is complete, via the Finder: Applications>Utilities folder. Open Disk Utility, select your HD on the left, then "repair permissions".
When complete, restart the computer, then try Flash in Safari.

  • Flash Player Security error when publishing HTML files

I am new to the Captivate world and am just in love with the
features - but I have been having a very difficult time publishing
my "movies". I have 8 files that are all called upon in one movie
(like a table of contents). I have abandon the though of publishing
each as an EXE file - and have decided to go the HTML route.
However when I try to run the published HTML file I get an Adobe
Flash Player Security error - saying "Adobe Flash Player has
stopped a potentially unsafe operation." It then says that the
local SWF file is trying to communicate with the Internet-enabled
    HTM file.
Can someone please tell me what this means? We are using
Captivate for distance learning as well as internal - so I can't
know for sure what the end-users will be using when the files are
    used.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Where are you running your movie from? If you are planning on
running them from a server, there should be no need to worry about
your end user seeing those messages. However, if you are planning
on each user copying them to their own hard drive or if you are
running from a CD-ROM, you may need to perform some trickery to
    make them work without issue.
The message is occurring because there are links in some of
the files that point to internet resources and the Flash player is
seeing that as a potential security risk. So it is blocking the
action until you pat it on the head and assure it the world will
not, in fact, end if it shows you the content.
If you wish to banish the screen on your PC, take a look at

  • Getting Flash Player Security Error when running extension.

I had created a nifty utility which uses a Flash interface.  It worked fine in CS3, but after upgrading to CS4, I keep getting the Flash Player Security Error popup when I run it.
    =======================================
    Adobe Flash Player Security
Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation.
The following local application on your computer or network:
    C:\Program%20Files\Adobe\%20Photoshop%20CS4\Presets\...\ChopBot.swf
is trying to communicate with this Internet-enabled location:
    <unknown>
To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings.
You must restart the application after changing your settings.
    [OK] [Settings...]
In CS3, opening the Global Security Settings panel and adding the script's path to the trusted locations would fix this problem, and the utility would work going forward.
In CS4, however, adding the script's path to the trusted locations seems to have no effect.
I am using the ExternalInterface class in the Flash UI to communicate to and from the JavaScript.
Has anyone else run into this issue and found a solution?

  • Flash Player Install Error: Memory can not be "written"

Actual error (with fake addresses because I get a different address each time it fails this way) is
    CAPTION: iexplore.exe - Application error
TEXT: "The instruction at "0x99999999" referenced memory at "0x99999999". The memory could not be "written".
So far I have used the uninstall_flash_player.exe and tried the reset_fp10.cmd with the MS subinacl.exe tool. I have used a registry
scrubber (RegScrubXP) and re-tried all of the above. I still can not get the flash player to load and I still get the error each time I try. I have run IE8 manage add-ons and the flash player is not listed. I am at my wit's end, I have searched everywhere and tried everything. This is a brand new computer with very little other than MS products loaded. Nothing is loaded that is not loaded on my other 3 computers that run flash player 10 just fine. I have run complete diagnostics on mt Thinkpad t500 and all checks out.
    Machine: Lenovo ThinkPad model 2242CTO
Processor: Intel Core 2 DUO @ 2.53 Ghz
Operating System: Windows XP Professional SP 3
    Browser: Microsoft IE 8

I had the same problem as previous described.  Some how I lost Flash Player.  The first indication I got was when I went to Utube site and tried to view aa clip.  It came back with an error saying I had java turned off or Flash Player was not installed.  It gave me link to install flash player and tried to install it and failed with memory written error.  The error message also said it was coming from Abode DLM. I was also at the point that a banner appeared that said an Adove system was trying to install and add on DLM.   This also caused IE to hang and it took quite sometime to close the IE to get out this hang condition with a bunch of error reports being sent to MIcrosoft.  After going to Sun System and testing my Java which it said was ok, I tried to install flash player.  Same thing happen.again.  I download Flash Player uninstall and ran it.  Tried install again.  Same results.  I found Adobe tech note how to uninstalled DLM.  I found none of the modules that it indicated should be deleted.  I tried installing Acrobat Reader which I already have on the system same error.  I found this forum and tried manual loading of Flash Player and that worked.  Now things are working ok except that if I try to download Flash player It still fails but the error has changed a little.  I hear the beep to approve the install of DLM addon  but IE fails cleanly and when I close the window said had the following error. I think the problem is DLM add on related.
    I am running IE V 8.0.6.001.18702

  • Flash player 10 error

I have been trying for 2 hours to install Flash Player 10.  I keep getting a registration failed error.  I use IE7 and/or Firefox, have tried both, same error.
I have run my anti-virus program, spyware program, etc.
What is going on?  I installed Adobe Reader without a problem.  I previously had problems with Adobe so removed everything connected with Adobe.

Hi, evidently something is preventing the install. As far as trying to install vs 9, Adobe states that if you have had a previous vs that is newer and then try to install an older version, it will fail. The whole point of installing the newest
version is that the websites have already updated and they would be asking you for the latest version as well. This is the main reason people get upset as youtube will tell them to update to the latest version or their java script is turned off.
I know you are using IE7, but you didn't mention the OS. IE7 and IE8 are so very difficult to work with.
An Anti-virus with a firewall or just a firewall can prevent an install, especially Norton. Did you make sure that you complied with the instructions in the uninstall and the troubleshooting article? I don't want to go over them if you have, except to say they are valid points to follow.
Go to Tools>manage add ons and check both sections using the drop down arrow and find Shockwave Flash Object, Active
X Control, is it enabled and what version# is listed? If it doesn't list that, look for Flash10?.ocx. The ? is a letter.
    Thanks

  • How to stop flash player showing errors?

Hi, does anyone know how to stop flash player showing runtime
errors? Is there some configuration option, or is it possible to
write a global error handler which would catch all the uncaught
exceptions so they don't get displayed to the users?
In my specific situation I've got 3rd party panorama
component in my flash site which creates some timers and listeners
but doesn't remove them when panorama is unloaded and then errors
keep showing periodically. Nothing else gets harmed and the site
keeps running normally, so it would be useful to just hide those
errors before a new version of the buggy component is released.
Thanks for any hint how to handle this !

  • Flash Player 14 error

Using Firefox, Windows 7 64 bit. Just downloaded and installed(clean) Flash Player, 14_0_0_179 exe.
Now get the following error: "The exception unknown software exception(0xc0000710) occurred in the application at location 0x77aca389. Click OK to terminate problem." Did not have this with previous version. This error shows up each time I open my browser. However, so far, I have not noticed problems when Flash Player itself. Open to suggestions.

uninstall flash player, Do a clean install
    test your browser.
if there's no problem, reinstall flash player (make sure you untick mcafee) - Adobe - Install a different version of Adobe Flash Player

  • Adobe Flash Player 10 Error Message

About four days ago, I started getting this error message in a dialog box. It appears even with nothing open that would even require a need for Flash. I removed Adobe Flash Player 10 and rebooted, then added it back. The problem continues however.
Win-XP/SP3 fully patched and Malware free.
"A script in this movie is causing Adobe Flash Player 10 to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer may become unresponsive. Do you want to abort the script?  Yes / No.
Checking either option only gets rid of the pop-up for a few minutes.

I have just recently resolved my Flash Player issue.
My suggestion to all who have troubles with Slowing down players or error messages (like I was getting) is very similar to what has been suggested by Meln long ago.For windows machines- I don't know  mac fix. but this might work.
    1. remove/uninstall flash player from your system. ALL BROWSERS
    2. reboot your system
    3. goto the adobe site for flash player and have it check that you in fact DO NOT have flash player installed.
    4. download the latest version of flash player and let it IMMEDIATELY do the install.
    5. reboot
    6. check how flash player works. If it is buggy and slow or kicking up errrors/messages go back to step 1. repeat this cycle as many times as necessary.
    some notes:
Be careful when doing the install -DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE FLASH DEBUGGING VERSION- it will kick up errors galore.
Make certain you do noting else during the install and remove processes. You are problem solving -not being productive, so  just wait it out patiently.
I know some will say, why would i remove, download and install multiple times - once should either work or not work.
OH how I wish this were true for funky software issues. There is some glitchy thing going on and where exactly it happens is anyones guess, or it would have been fixed. Without rhyme or reason one time though it will just work. when it does do a system restore point and put GOOD FLASH PLAYER as the note. after you do this fix you will know why you want a quick way back to this point.- you don't want to do it again.
i know this sounds stupid but after trying for months to "fix" my issue this is what worked on multiple PCs i had that had the issue(s) slowing down and messages.

Close all Firefox windows before you run the installer.

  • "the user does not have sufficient privileges to install adobe flash player" continious error

    Hi.
Its now several weeks I fail to update the Flash Player on my PC.
I am using Firefox (fully updated) and my computer is continuously checked for viruses.
I have searched for solutions in other forums and literally tried them all (including creating a new account and trying to install from there).
I download the file successfully, it reached the 70%' or so and complete the downloading but the moment it tried to install it crashes and gives me the message as shown in the photo attached.
I have rebooted my computer several times, and nothing seems to be of help or solution.
    Your assistance is kindly needed.

I did and I still get the an error.
    Any other solution?

  • Flash Player install -- error code 1041

I'm trying to upgrade my adobe flash player and it keeps giving me an error code of 1041.  What is it and how can I fix it?

    Hi MagChi0354,
Some process is using the Flash Player and is preventing the uninstall/install of the version you are attempting to install.  Please ensure all products that may use the Flash Player (browsers, Instant Messaging clients, and others) are closed and nothing is using Flash Player.  Also check Task Manager and ensure Flash Player related processes are not running (they'll have 'FlashPlayer' or 'FlashUtil' in the name).
