Flash Player Feature Requests

Apologies for the cross-post. But it would be great to hear
what people are keen to see in upcoming versions of the Flash
Player and the web plugins. The original (pre CS3) article is
here.
I would personally like to see better search engine spider
access to flash content (perhaps blocking email addresses though)
and som sore of right-click > open link in new tab/window
functionality on text links and getURL scripts.

"better search engine spider access to flash content"
Embedding with SWFObject and integrating SWFAddress will do
that.
"right-click > open link in new tab/window"
Already possible for text links.

I get a pop up of "adobe flash player settings" requesting local storage.  It will not respond to either deny or accept.  Please help.

    From the menu bar, select
               ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Flash Player ▹ Storage
Select either one of the radio buttons marked
Allow sites to save information on this computer
Block all sites from storing information on this computer
according to your preference. The usual display of Flash content doesn't require that you allow it to save information. Note also that this setting only affects Flash; it has no effect on web cookies or AutoFill.

  • After downloading the latest flash player as requested, I still cannot see videos on websites.

I have been trying to watch videos on some websites and I have downloaded the latest version of flash player as requested and I still cannot watch the videos...I get the same message that I need to download the latest version of flashplayer.

Thanks for posting back.  If disabling hardware acceleration resolves the problem, you might be able to update your video drivers and re-enable it for better performance.

How do I disable or enable hardware acceleration?

  • Flash Player update request from Software Not. Valid or bogus?

I keep getting update requests from Software Not to update Flash Player 11 to higher #.  Is this a valid request to update Flash driver?  The request does nothing when selected and no programs are in the "HP STORE" to assist with install.  I have Win. 8, IE 10 with updates turned on for both.  If this is a bogus application I want to block it.  The pop in notice appears multiple times daily.

Flash Player for IE 10 in WIn 8 is "embedded" by Microsoft, and you don't update it outside of Windows Update, so, the odds are the notices you see are fake. If the notices appear in your browser, you need to look into another browser like Firefox, that uses add-ons like AdBlock Plus (not comaptible with IE - it doesn't work with ActiveX controls).
If you're seeing the update outside of the browser, you've likely got "adware" that's causing it.

  • E72 Music Player features request / suggestions

    Hello,
I know that E72 is a business phone and that there are music control buttons on certain hands free, but...
I have some features requests for E72 music player application:
    1. Please make call button on hands free to act as next song button, the same as call button on hands free acts as next radio channel on classic radio. Other players have this feature (such as PowerMP3), but since I have paid a lot of money on E72, I would like to see this feature build in its own music player.
2.Please make music player to allow in an intuitive way to add music folders. By default it adds everything, including ringtones, mms-es and so on. Maybe an option/question of starting from a blank play list on first use would be nice.
    3. When deleting a song from a play list, please only remove it from the list by default, not physically, or ask the user, or use a sub-menu with the option with default option "only from play list".
    4. Make space bar default key to select/unselect songs for certain actions. Using the D-pad in certain contexts it's really confusing.
Just and advice: design the application as the user expects to. Users have experience with other players on phones or PC, so...take example.
    Thank you!

    N80 also has album art.

  • Flash Player dowload requested on Adobe air website

I have adobe flash player 10.1.53 installed on Ubuntu Linux 10.4 32 bit in firefox 3.5.  I can play You tube video, go to the Adobe flash player site and it reports I have flash 10.1.53 installed. I also have Air 2.0 for linux installed. When I go to the Adobe Marketplace to download Air Apps the website asks me to install the latest version of Flash, even if I install it from there it still asks me to install the latest version of flash. How do I fix this so I can use some of those great Air apps!  This did not occur previous to the last website update.

Not sure why this is happening, or if it is even a Flash Player problem.
Can you also ask the question in the Adobe AIR forum?

  • Flash player installer requests that I close DashboardClient, but I do not know how to do this. How should I proceed with Flash Installation?

How do you close DashboardClient on a Mac, running OS 10.9.5, when prompted to do so by the Adobe Flash Player Installer?

    Hi,
Go to /Applications/Utiliites/Activity Monitor and look for the Dashboard Client process.  If Dashboard Client doesn't display select to view 'All Processes' or 'All Processes, Hierarchically'.  Select it and then click the 'Quit Process' button at the top of the Activity Monitor window.

  • Stompclient is not working for Flash Player 9 (Flash Player 9,0,124,0)

We are facing issue in STOMP client because of newly

We have tried to add socket meta files as discussed in others

    We have done below stuffs.

    2) Also set xmlSocket as load policy to get connection from
    stompclient to Activemq.
    1) PolicyFile.xml(loading this also in STOMPClient.swf)

Am still getting blocked plug ins on video content after downloading latest flash player (as requested to do) to macbook please help

Can you check to see if you have "enable plug-ins" checked in Safari's preferences dialog, under the security tab? If not, enable it and check.
It seems to be a browser specific issue. Try a different browser like chrome or firefox, check if it works there.

  • I cannot seem to use/change my password so I can update my flash player?

When I try to update my flash player, it requests my username and password.  I did not remember my password so requested an email to set up a new one - twice now, and neither time has worked.  I'm very careful to enter the password and I know it's right, but the system still won't accept it.  Can someone help me?

    Hello,
You need the password you use to log into your computer.  If you user account is an Administrator, it'll install.  Otherwise, you'll need to provide the password for an Administrator on your computer.  If you don't have a password to log into your computer, and your user account is an Administrator, ignore the password field and click OK to continue.

  • Flash Player needs be reinstalled every time Opera is booted.

Every time I boot Opera, and when Flash Player is requested, a notice is shown telling me that the program is not on my computer, regardless of how many times I have already reinstalled it. This has been a consistient problem for a year now, but I've ignored in the past. This occurs with Opera 32 and 64 bit. Help would be much appreciated.

Can you try installing Flash Player from the following installer?
    http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_64bit.exe
In addition you might want to type in "opera:plugins" into the address bar to verify that plugins are enabled and look for the "Shockwave Flash" entry and verify it too is enabled.
