Flash player flickering preview

Helllo, can someone help.
I have a simple scene set up in flash. Every time i preview the flash player the screen will flicker white (or whatever the background color is).
How do i stop that. Is it a bug?
Macbook pro retina
osx latest version

Solved the problem. If you have another scene and hit test it will load both scenes. Instead just hit test sequence.

  • Flash Player flickering in IE8 on pages with Flash

    We're having a problem with Flash 10.1 on an Windows XP Pro 32bit machine and all pages with associated flash content flickering when you scroll the page.  This has been happening with the most recent version as well as older versions.
    Machine: Dell Optiplex GX620
    Windows XP PRO 32bit
    Explorer 8
    Flash 10.1 (latest)
    I have uninstalled & reinstalled Flash and all other Adobe products several times.
    I have updated the video drivers
    I have disabled / reenabled H/W acceleration
    I have run IE8 w/ the no Add-on option and it does not flicker (obviously)
    Now what's very odd is if I log the user account off and log in with admin credentials, I get NO flickering at all on any pages with flash content.  However any user account that does not have admin rights on the machine has the flickering problem.  We have several hundred machines in the building and this is the only one having this issue.
    I also noticed that after uninstalling flash and then reinstalling it, and then trying to install Shockwave - I got an "sw.cab blocked - unknown publisher" error which I'm guessing means that Adobe is not being correctly registered on the machine when product is installed.
    ANY THOUGHTS ON THIS MATTER WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

    Still haven't solved this problem but I've noticed the flickering happening in IE8 as well. Every few seconds it sounds like a click-event is firing. The flickering occurs even when the project is paused. Essentially the user hear's a "click" sound and the page flashes to white and seems to reload, however it doesn't effect the timeline of the project. That being said its extremely distracting and certainly a huge bug of some sort as it is only happening in various versions of IE. We're testing on XP, but I would imagine its doing the same on other versions of the Windows OS.
    Could it have something to do with the fact that there's a separate flash player for IE? What's going on here?

  • Flash Player flickering

    Help, after a recent flash player update (most recent 10.2 45) I have encountered problems. I can play videos, no issues there.
    The problem is any time I enter a website with pop up streams, the pop ups start flashing, flickering, jumping, jittering. It is driving me crazy !
    It also does all of the above when scrolling up or down the page. It does this with either the mouse or up & down on the keyboard.
    If the page has a lot of pop up videos, computer will freeze up. I have removed flash player (using adobe downloaded uninstaller) and reinstalled player many times. Have even removed latest player and installed flash player 9. It does the same !
    I use IE8, Google tool bar, Vista Home Premium 64, but have had the player on the 32 bit system. Use AVG 9,O, Spybot S&D, and CC CLEANER.
    Manage add ons- Java (TM) Plug in 2 S, Shockwave Flash OB , Adobe PDF LINK HEI, all enabled.
    Hope this info helps you to help me because this is really aggravating.  Of course it does none of these things when the flash player is removed.
    Thank You

    Hi, There are several things that may involved here. I'll list what might be. I am familiar with AVG and their many components. I don't know if Spybot is still an Anti-Spyware with the Tea Timer or do you know if they have added an Anti-Virus feature? More than one Anti-Virus causes conflicts. AVG has Link Scanner which is composed of 2 features and does cause issues with many users. I'm not suggesting you do anything yet, just going over what could be causing conflicts.
    Does the AVG version you use have a Firewall? If not, do you use any third party Firewall other than Windows Firewall?
    The pop up is partly due to Vista and IE8, we'll get to that.
    In your post#1 you said Shockwave Flash Object was there and enabled. In post#3 you said it is not even there now.
    Did you Uninstall/Install between the two postings?
    So we have a good starting point, if you remember how to find the Flash folder, go there and post back the files now listed.
    Also in manage add ons (ALL add ons) check for the Shockwave Flash Object and this time if it is there, note the version number if listed and/or Flash10e.ocx(this indicates version 10.0.45.2) I need that info also.
    When you Uninstalled and Installed did you use the offline of each?
    After you reply to this I will get back to you, but a little later. (Dinner/Supper:-)
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Flash Player Flickers when watching Fox Business Full screen

    I am using Windows 7 (64 Bit) and IE 10.  When I go to Fox Business I can watch fine in small screen but when I go to full screen the Adobe Flash Player icon shows up in the taskbar and the screen flickers until I hit escape and revert back to small screen.
    I have tried all 7 suggestions in your help section and none help.

    There exists an Add-On named "Turn off the light". Have you installed it?

    I can't speak to YouTube's internal logic, but I think that they look at your connection quality and attempt to suggest the best option for current conditions.  Given that there's a lot of stuff between your house and YouTube, transitory congestion and performance issues can arise.  When selecting the highest video quality, you're consuming more bandwidth.  If a bottleneck anywhere on the route between you and YouTube prevents the stream from coming in faster than it's playing back, it is going to stop and start as the video rebuffers.
    You can try rebooting, as "if in doubt, reboot" are great words to live by.  If any of the hardware or software running on the computer ended up in a wonky state, rebooting will typically solve that.  YouTube itself provides some good stats about the available bandwidth in the "Stats for Nerds" right-click menu option.
    Anyway, not all YouTube videos are encoded the same way, so having an exact link to a couple videos that demonstrate the specific problem you're experiencing would be very helpful.
    Thanks!
    P.S.  I've updated the subject to provide a more useful handle for people experiencing similar issues.

  • Flash Player Square troubles in Mac OS X Snow Leopard

    For the last 2 - 3 days or so, I have been having severe problems with Flash Player Square Preview 2, 64-bit in Firefox 4.0 Beta 7.
    Most sites seem to work fine, but on YouTube nearly every video I try to play performs very poorly. The video lags horribly, and is very choppy and blocky.
    I have tried the following:
    1. Uninstalling/Reinstalling Flash Player - No Success.
    2. Deleted my Firefox profile. - No Success
    3. Playing videos with fresh profile and NO ADDONS. - No Success.
    and Finally,
    4. Reinstalled Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.5 - No Success.
    Also one more important thing to note, I had a friend with a similar setup(Firefox 4.0 Beta 7 - Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.5) as my own try it, and he too said that the videos are playing choppily with the same results.
    Flash does however, perform well on every site in 32-bit release versions of Firefox 3.6.X as well as Safari and Chrome. And it performed fine even in a 64-bit Browser earlier this week too.
    Also, I do not believe the problem is 64-bit related, since I get the same results if I tick the Open in 32-bit Mode check box in Get Info for Firefox 4.0 Beta 7.
    Any suggestions for this problem would be much appreciated.

    Did you want me to re-post this in that forum or can one of the mods from here move it?

  • Flash Player 10.3 for IE9 (64-bit)

    Hello,
    Believe it or not I am running Flash Player 10.3.162.28 in my final version of IE9 (64-bit).  It works PERFECTLY.  LOL.  What's the story behind this version, does anyone happen to know?
    I got it from the Flash Player Square site back in September or October 2010 and then the releases for 64-bit were removed, leaving me high and dry.  I am running the proper 10.2 version in my IE9 32-bit, but that doesn't have anything to do with the 64-bit version.
    Does anyone have a clue, because I don't.  LOL.
    Should I just leave it alone?
    Thanks!

    Hi, I think it's helpful to understand that the Square Flash Player for 64bit browsers ONLY and yes it's still a "beta".
    Now the 10.3 that you have is also a beta, and I think it's for a 32bit browser with certain new features. I haven't had time
    to read all of the info(plan to) but I didn't see yet that it is even supposed to work in the 64bit browsers. That would be confusing as that is what the Square is for.
    While this is a beta release of Flash Player 10.3 for desktop operating systems only, we are planning to release Flash Player 10.3 for mobile and the next version of AIR and AIR SDK for desktop and mobile soon. (That's interesting!)
    Well I just went to find out and here is this:
    When will Adobe Flash Player support 64-bit operating systems and browsers?
    Flash Player 10.3 will not have 64-bit support. Support for 64-bit operating systems and web browsers on Linux, Mac OS, and Windows is currently available in the Flash Player "Square" preview release on Adobe Labs. Developers can use the "Square" preview with the current Microsoft® Internet Explorer® 9 beta. Availability of 64-bit support in a publically available release for consumers will be announced at a later date.
    It's confusing, but there is only one Flash Player that supports the 64bit browser and that is Square.
    The 10.2 is for 32bit or 64bit Operating Systems but only works with the 32bit browsers.
    The 10.3 is a version that is in beta and will be shipped, but it appears it will be only for DESKTOPS.
    If the 10.3 is working fine for you, I'd keep it. Are you sure IE9 that you have is a 64bit? I wasn't aware of that at all.
    Well, hope I haven't confused you in trying to explain this
    Hope this message goes thru.
    Thanks,

  • HT2506 After updating my system to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I can no longer view videos on Facebook or other sites. The only one I can view videos on is youtube. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player and still no luck. I cannot even open Preview on my computer

    After updating my system to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 I can no longer view videos on Facebook or other sites. The only one I can view videos on is youtube. I have downloaded Adobe Flash player and still no luck. I cannot even open Preview on my computer anymore. Any ideas would be helpful thanks

    Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
    If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.
    1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, triple-click the line below to select it:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
    from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. You may be prompted for your login password. If you get the same error after doing that, re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
    Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
    Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    2. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
    from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
    3. Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
    from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
    4. In the Safari preference window, select
    Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
    and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

  • Adobe flash player problem with IE 7 (flickering or Blinking)

    Hello!
    I have really anoying problem that bothers me about 2 days..so the problem is when im watching pages ex ( youtube, slo-tech..,) that includes flash.  When i looking pages or whatching videos the page and texts or picture starts flickering or blinking also when i move mouse up and down or when i scroll it's horible and anoying. before i didn't have that problem and i have the latest adobe flash player.
    sorry for mine bad english =) i hope u understand what i mean it
    my specs are:
    Intel Pentium core duo e8500 3,2ghz
    4gb Patriot viper 800mhz
    Windows Xp service pack 3
    hope you can resolve problem =)
    Regards,

    Hello JLavius
    Looking at your Java. I am not familiar with IE7 but I know it has different features than IE6 which I still use.
    Take a look at your screenshots, the 3 part and the other 2. Are there really 6 Java Plug-in 1.6.0_17 ActiveX Controls installed or is this
    a screenshot overlap or counted more than once ? In addition there is another ActiveX Plug in same vs 1.6.0_17 but in file npjpi160_...
    Then, there is a Java(tm)Plug-in 2 SSV, a BHO (Browser Helper Object) in file   jp2ssv.dll
    Lastly, there is a JQSIEStartDetectorImp (Not verified) Sun Microsy..., another BHO  in file jqs_plugin
    I will freely admit, Java is perplexing, but I'm trying to understand why anything takes this many ActiveX Controls and Browser Helpers to run. The 2SSV has it's own BHO and same with JQSIE.
    The above is just my observation.  You said that you noticed this flickering and blinking (instability) a few days around the time you posted.
    Can you remember installing anything new around that time? Any software or perhaps an IE or Windows Update? Something is causing this and trying to pin point it is going to be difficult. You have the most add ons I have ever seen, but you have a great system too and it
    looks like it could handle anything.
    It may be worth a look in Add/Remove to see what IE or Windows Updates may have been installed around that date. Any program or Anti-Virus update or change?
    I would contact Sun Microsystems and ask them about the Java. Flash Player, Shockwave Flash Object and Java work together for the best experience. See what you can find out and post back. If you can't find anything out, you may need to open up a support ticket here at Adobe. Thanks JLavius, I wish I could be more help.
        P.S. here is the Sun Microsystems (Sun) forums.   http://forums.sun.com/index.jspa

  • Flash player 11.0 flickers/doesn't draw whole frames

    Hello,
    I'm currently running Flash Player 11.0.1.152 on Arch Linux 64-bit, with nVidia driver 285.05.09. I'm coming across a lot of Flash videos where terrible flickering occurs. The frame rate is very good but it seems like some of the frames themselves are only partially drawn (you can see a screenshot here**) which makes the whole video flicker terribly. I've also seen it places like here (particularly the loading screen, but you can also see it to a lesser extent in the video on the front page). Places like Youtube and Blip.Tv work fine.
    Fiddling with hardware acceleration or quality settings doesn't fix it, however simply opening the settings box has a temporary effect: the flicker disappears entirely for as long as the box is there. Upon closing the settings box, flicker immediately resumes. Scrolling the box mostly offscreen resumes flicker, too.
    I primarily use Firefox 7.0.1, but there's no change when using Chromium.
    After upgrading to 11.2 the video plays silky smooth, however I've found the beta is still too unstable for general use, so I can't simply use that. Is there something I can do to fix 11.0 while waiting for the beta to stabilize?
    I've also included a paste dump of my GLXinfo if that will help in any way.
    Thanks for your time!
    **Note that if you wish to check the video itself, the flicker isn't immediately apparent from the start, however clicking the first red dot that skips to Part One will drop you straight into a flickery part.
    EDIT: I found out that when my video card is forced into its highest performance setting, flickering is greatly reduced though doesn't disappear entirely.

    What is your operating system, version & edition?
    What is your web browser?

  • Flash animation working in program preview, not in browser with up to date Flash Player.

    After hitting next on this animation you can see there appears to be blank areas on the animation. If you mouse over them you will see buttons appear which is their "over state." When I publish the animation and preview it in Adobe Flash CS5.5 all the buttons are visible and work correctly. It is only in the brower (chrome, firefox, safari) with up to date Flash Player that is is not working. This is happening in a number of animations I created originally in CS4 last year, and am updating them as CS5.5 using AS3.
    My application is up to date.

    Are you loading those images externally?
    Can you share an example of you loading an external file if so? It should look similar to this:
    import flash.display.Loader;
    import flash.display.Sprite;
    import flash.events.Event;
    import flash.events.IOErrorEvent;
    var myLoader:Loader = new Loader();
    myLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(IOErrorEvent.IO_ERROR, onErrorHandler);
    myLoader.contentLoaderInfo.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onCompleteHandler);
    function onErrorHandler(e:IOErrorEvent):void
         // put some visual code here to tell yourself you have a load error
         // otherwise you'll never know
         trace(e);
    function onCompleteHandler(e:Event):void
         // add to display list if you wish (a Loader is a displayobject), or add it to a sprite and name it, etc
         addChild(e.target);
    If you're not checking for errors then you won't know it's not loading things properly. That is of course if you're loading external assets.

    i had the same problem too after i updated to version 12. my laptop is windows 7 64bit but it not only affected my chrome browser but all my browsers. i was unable to watch any videos online with flash content. even youtube was out i had to do a system restore and i have no plans to update to version 12 until version 13 is released lol
    FWIW, YouTube has finished converting ALL of their videos to HTML5, which requires NO plug-in... at all.
    If you have NO Flash Player installed on your system, your browser (as long as it's newer than IE8 or Firefox 17) can play YouTube videos.
    If you're unable to view HTML5 video, your problems are way beyond Flash Player, or Chrome... which has a "proprietary" build, modified and embedded by Google, but isn't required to view YouTube.
