Flash player for online live streaming and whats app for Yoga 8 tab

I have baught this Lenovo yoga tab 8 and I was trying to watch the live cricket matches online. But unfortunately an error message appearing on the video window on the web page saying that I need to upgrade the Flashplayer. So I tried to get the Adobe flash player from Google Play store but it says that this device does not support the application. Same has happened when I tried to install "Whatsapp" from play store. Is it because of the lower Android version? If, so is it possible to upgrade the Android version? Please suggest me the solution or alternative.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks rmbrkfld but....... is this link to be opened only in Tab or what?
Because I just tried it on my computer and its not installing. The zipped folder has been downloaded, I unzipped it but there is no option/file to say Install, neither it was automatically installed  ........ (what's the name of this player?) .......... Please clear this.
And you don't have any idea about whatsapp? Please leave a comment on this too.
And another question I asked in the original message, is it possible to upgrade the android version of this Lenovo Yoga Tab 8?? .... if yes, please guide me ......
Thannks again!

  • Flash Player / Your installer is broken and has been for some time

Regarding the Flash Player Installer on Mac OSx: I've uninstalled the old version, and verified that it is uninstalled.  I've updated all software on my computer and then installed the latest version of Shockwave.  I've rebooted and shut down all other programs.  Still, the installer is stuck at 25% download.  Repeatedly.  Based on searches, this has been a problem with your installer for about a year.  It's beyond imagination that your dev team hasn't fixed this.  A fix should have been out in a day.

  • Flash Player 10.1.82.76 and Facebook apps

In the last couple of days I have downloaded Flash Player 10.1.82.76 onto Vista Home Premium 32 bit. Every thing looks OK except FaceBook FarmVille and FrontierVille are now both in little windows not  allowing all the buttons of the games to be visible. FP 10 worked fine !  Can I somehow go back to Flash Player 10 ? Where is there a download  option ? How do I fix current problem - I have AdBlock Plus enabled though it was not a problem with FP 10 ?  Help please ...
    FarmVille works OK on www.FarmVille.com

Hi, thanks for starting your thread. I would like for you to test at this site that I will link to. I want to know if you can see the Flash logo animation (it moves right at the beginning) and it will also list what version of Flash Player you have Installed. If you use Firefox, then test with that browser also. I need the results of each browser test.
If you do not see the animation, then go to Tools, manage add ons and find the Shockwave Flash Object and make sure it is Enabled and it is version 10.1.82.76.
If you use FF, then find the SWF vs 10.1.82.76 plugin and make sure it is Enabled.
Then go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash  Open Flash and post back all files listed there. Any file with NPSWF you will need to right click on and then click on Properties to obtain the version numbers.
Also when you post back this info, let me know what version of IE and FF that you use.
    Thanks

  • When I push to installl plugins Adobe Flash Player 10.3 comes on and runs for up to 3 hours without stopping. I cannot acces my classroom witout the plugin window popping up.

When I log onto PMI for my classroom the install plugins window comes up, I press install and the Adobe Flash Player 10.3 pops up and it has been running now for 3 hours, is this normal? I have shut it down but had the same problem when I again tried to access my online classroom. What do I do?

Hi, Sometimes users with understanding of what Adobe programs you are using will post. It doesn't happen very often.
If you had a personal computer and had problems with Flash Player then of course this Forum would be where it would be addressed.
Flash Player is used with all of the Adobe programs and when those programs are involved, then those Forums relate to Flash Player from those perspectives. Flash Player is not a standalone, that would be the Projector. Neither is Flash Player unrelated to the Adobe programs you use.
These terms: fast switching the slides, the player crashes in cases, when a progressive videostream is canceled, Tweener, the gui for the volume control before the gui is initialized, so the player try to access a null reference. It is for me impossible to develope content
told me clearly that your issue involves much more than Flash Player, debug or not.
If you can see the animation at this site and the correct version of Flash Player is displayed, then Flash Player is Installed correctly and should be working. If not, then since I'm not versed in the programs you are using and possible conflicts, I would not be the one to assist you. So your choice is to wait here on this Forum for someone that can, or take my advice and start a thread on one of the other applicable Forums.
Also you have a Mac. We have more threads that the Mac users put up than Mac helpers:-)

For the past few months all flash players have been crashing under ubuntu, when I watch a live stream with Flowplayer using RTMPT, on port 80

The stream works on Mac OS and Windows Vista.
The stream starts fine and freezes if I switch between tabs, or even if I don't do anything for a few seconds.
At the moment I am using the latest flash player - flashplayer10_2_r2_32bit_linux_012611.tar.gz

    Hi dandab…
Although, I had installed SubInACL <http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=23510>  once without solving my problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled it and Adobe Flash Player 11 is now up and running.  Thank you very much.

  • Flash Player 11.4.402.265 and Firefox 15/15.0.1 Not Compatible?

I have mentioned this in two recent posts, but wanted to start a new thread to call attention to what I believe is an important issue.
Starting with the update of Firefox 15, and continuing into version 15.0.1, my Firefox browser has logged a series of "silent" crashes.  By silent I mean that there was no visible sign that a crash had taken place.  I found out about them by typing about:crashes into Firefox's address bar.  (I actually do this about once per week just to make sure that there are no problems that should be addressed.)
All of the crashes--and there were dozens--were "empty" in that no source could be identified.  Specifically, the following appeared at the top of each crash report:
Firefox Crash Reports [@ EMPTY: no crashing thread identified; corrupt dump ]
In addition, the crashes were intermittent.   I checked this out by constantly checking for new crashes after calling up various web sites.  For instance, I would would go to Google News, check for a crash report, go to a feature story, check for a crash report, watch a YouTube video, check for a crash report, close Firefox, open it, check for a crash report, etc.  What I found was that I often would visit 20 or more sites before a crash report was filed; however,  an average of  ten crashes appeared daily--again, all with NO indication of what had caused the crash.
At first, I could see no pattern, so I troubleshooted by enabling/disabling hardware acceleration for both Firefox and Flash Player, enabling/disabling cookies, enabling/disabling JavaScript, etc. I spent several hours doing this.
I also scoured the various Firefox "help" forums, but it seemed that the same answers appeared on all of the forums, and they pretty much echoed the troubleshooting steps I had taken. (It seems that the major issue now is the fact that hardware acceleration causes Firefox 15.0.1 to crash for many users.)
Finally, I noticed that I had been on a site containing an embedded flash video, just prior to a crash.  (Interestingly, I never received a crash report after watching a YouTube video on YouTube.)   I then tried disabling Protected Mode in Flash Player, which worked several months ago after the new "sandboxing" provision was introduced, and was found to be incompatible with the then-version of Firefox. So far, this has stopped all crashes.  After three days of normal usage and surfing, there have been no reports, whereas, prior to doing this, I was averaging at least one per hour.
This leads me to believe that the designers of the  latest version of Firefox have either omitted whatever code string was used to fix the problem that occurred last June, or some new, incompatible code has been included.    Either way, I think that this should be looked into by BOTH Adobe and Mozilla as soon as possible--but especially by Mozilla, since Flash Player 11.4.402.265 worked just fine with Firefox 14.0.1.
It should be noted, by the way, that I did a recent check of Firefox's "top crashers" and the empty crash report is by far the most common--over 877,000 at the time I checked.  If I understood the graph, there has been an escallation since the introduction of version 15.0.  How many of them are silent, and therefore, unnoticed by the users, is anyone's guess, but I suspect that I'm not the only user on the planet this is happening to.
In case it's needed, I'm using:
Windows 7, Home Premium Service Pack 1 (Windows Classic user interface)
    Firefox 15.0.1
    Flash Player 11.4.402.265
Hardware Acceleration disabled for both Firefox and Flash Player
Since all of my crash reports, prior to disabling Protected Mode, were useless, I have deleted them.

Message was edited by: Ortho_Fan  ADDED -- 9/15/12 --   I periodically check Windows 7's "Performance Monitor" and noticed today that one of the "silent crashes" was picked up by Windows.  The following details were posted:

This appeared before I disabled Flash Player's Protected Mode, but coincides with one of the empty crashes reported in Firefox.  I know nothing about Windows crashes, where to find the reports, etc.

    Hi schützenkönig:
Many thanks for posting!  As you can see, I made my initial post over a week ago, and since there were no responses, I thought perhaps I was the only one this was happening to!
In any event, disabling Protected Mode is the only way I've found to prevent the crashes from happening.
I posted about this on the mozillazine forum -- http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=2551745&sid=7e877237158ffdc560789fb668c 858c0 -- but didn't get very far.  Apparently, Firefox is blaming Adobe and has no plans to do anything about it.  I was given some reassurance, however, by the comment that adblock plus offers protection from harmful flash content.
By the way, I made a follow on post when I downloaded the latest version of Flash Player -- 11.4.402.278  -- http://forums.adobe.com/message/4708561#4708561
Unfortunately, it did nothing to fix the problem.

  • Flash Player 10 works in Safari and Firefox, but not IE 8?

Most times (not all) I load a page with Flash in IE, when I close, I get an error saying "IE has stopped responding" and then says it's something to do with Adobe Flash player. Since IE is the only browser that seems to freeze and stop responding due to Flash Player, could it be a problem with IE and not Flash Player?  If so, how do I fix the problem?  Please help.  I'm getting desperate.  I've been installing and uninstalling for at least two days now with no successs.

The error is "Internet Explorer has stopped working.  A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Then when I click on the Windows solutions icon, it says:
Adobe Flash Player has stopped working properly.
To troubleshoot this problem, follow these steps:
Click to go online and run the Flash Player  uninstaller
In the File Download dialog box, click Run, and then follow the  instructions to uninstall flash player. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the  password or provide confirmation.
Click to go online and install the Flash Player update
I've done both these things for 2-3 days now.  Nothing works.

  • Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac.

Trying to install adobe flash player onto mac using internet explorer 5.2 for mac.  But the page that I need keeps telling me that Adobe Flash Player still needs to be installed.  I've downloaded AFP several times, and I see it installed correctly on my mac, but the same error message keeps coming up.  All of the support that I see is either for mac or for Internet Explorer, but not for both and not for the version of Internet Explorer that I am using.  Please help.  Thank you.

Wow, IE for Mac is pretty old.  What Mac OS are you using?  I'm 99% sure you're going to need an older version of the Player, but I'll need to know the OS version to figure out which one.

  • Why does the latest version of firefox insist flash player is out of date and blocks play back but it is the latest update

Flash Player Plugin between 11.0 and 11.7.700.169 (click-to-play) has been blocked for your protection.this is what firefox tells me but when i check the add-ons manager it says version 15.0.0.239 is installed.how can i get firefox to recognize the right version

The Plugin check is behind on what versions is current to check for so it is useless at moment until it is updated.
This is because 15.0.0.2'''39''' is not the latest Firefox 15 version as there has been at least 15.0.0.2'''42''' which is on blocklist and 15.0.0.2'''46''' which is not on the blocklist as according to Adobe it is not affected.
Flash Player Plugin 14.0 to 15.0.0.242
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/blocked/p798
Flash Player Plugin 10.3.183.66 to 13.0.0.258
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/blocked/p794
So for Windows and Mac 16.0.0.235, 13.0.0.25'''9''' ESR and
15.0.0.24'''6''' are not vulnerable according to Adobe and are not on blocklist.
'''philipp''' you need to update your posting for this as Mozilla made a two part blocklist on Friday so as to not block the 13.0.0.258 ESR version and your link is for one of the two blocklists for Win/Mac.

  • MacMinis + SL Server for Intranet live streaming ?

    Hi,
is this asking for trouble (not enough horse power) or can the MacMini be used for a live stream into our intranet?
The documentation on this Apple site actually suggests a Macbook (for the Broadcaster) and a MacPro (as streaming server).
We will need to do this only, say, three times per year for 45 Minutes.
Signal will come via Firewire 400 from the camera.
Will two MacMinis be able to handle the load?
How many clients, do you think, can connect at the same time before we run into trouble?
    Thanks for any friendly advice,
    Barbara

There's a lot to consider when dealing with streaming.
If you're only streaming to the LAN then you might be able to use multicast, in which case this is a no-brainer - the server only sends out a single video stream to which all the clients subscribe (the heavy work is done by your network switches).
If, on the other hand, you can't use multicast, or if your 'intranet' really consists of multiple sites/locations then you need to consider bandwidth since that's likely to be your major bottleneck.
It really doesn't take much CPU to stream a connection (the hard work is in the encoding which is why Apple recommend a separate machine for encoding which passes the stream to another machine for distribution). I don't know what the hard limits are on a Mac Mini as the streamer but I wouldn't be surprised to see at least 100 clients on a reasonably-high quality stream. If you find it can't handle that (or you have way more clients) then QuickTime Streaming makes it easy to add additional streaming servers so all you need to do is balance your clients across the various streaming servers, making it easy to grow incrementally once you work out what your load is.

  • Flash Player 9 just stopped working and won't reinstall

I am running Firefox on a MacBook (Intel Core 2 Duo, OS X v.
    10.4.9).
One minute, my Flash Player was working just fine and the
next minute I start getting messages that I need to install the
plug-in. I have repeatedly tried installing, uninstalling,
restarting, reinstalling, etc. several times and I still get the
    same message.
I looked in the 'plugins' folder for Firefox and I don't even
see the Flash plugin. It's also not working in Safari. Please help
    me get this thing working.
    Ricky Furr

Thanks for responding. I took "Flash Player.plugin" and
"flashplayer.xpt" out of the Internet Plugins folder and put them
on the desktop. I ran the installer and when it tried to install
"flashplayer.xpt" It said "Error Creating File: 1008:5,-5000 Access
Denied Error" then followed immediately with "You do not have
enough access privileges for this installation." I only have one
user account on this computer and it's an Admin account so that
    really doesn't make any sense.
After I got that message, I tried also taking out "Flash
Player Enabler.plugin" and got the same message. Then I tried
Uninstalling, Restarting, and Reinstalling. Same thing happened.
I put the files back where they were.

  • Updated Flash player, now it won't work, what is the problem?

Updated my flash player to the latest version and now it wont play. keeps telling me to update to the latest version. tried uninstall and reinstall numerous times. restarted my computer and safari a number of times aswell. whats the problem?

Are you sure that you did not install a fake? there are many and they look convincing.
Did you download it yourself from Adobe's website, or was it handed to you by a Black/Red dialog?

  • Flash Player 9, Director MX, LocalConnection and the file system sandbox

I have a Director MX asset to which I have no source-code
access. Previously I could use LocalConnection in a Flash Player 8
projector to interact with the Director app, local to the
file-system. I seem unable to do the same thing with a Flash Player
9 projector. The director asset looks for and loads the relevant
Flash projector and unloads itself when it is no longer present,
and this functionality continues without a problem. However, when I
use the LocalConnection.send method, the Flash player does not
    receive the expected responses.
I know that this is a rather general and abstract question:
put simply, does anyone know whether Flash Player 9 and Director MX
can't talk to each other using LocalConnection?
ps to pre-empt over-enthusiastic respondees, yes I am aware
of other technologies such as AIR, Zinc etc, and no they're not a
viable option for my particular project.

    Hi,
the following sourcecode is compiled with Flexbuilder 2 and
runs in flashplayer 9.0.115 as expected.
How do you trigger the effect?
