Flash Player for Power PC

Will no longer stream media from the internet, anywhere, as of today.  G5 power pc 2GHz.  This thing is still strong for recording music, can handle plenty of tracks.  I do not physically need to upgrade my computer.  It seems as though I virtually need to upgrade my computer, because they no longer write software for the Power Pc.  I am a very frustrated MAC user and I feel like I have been tricked.  What a corporate scam.  Is there any way to hack a version of flash player to help us out?  Can't MAC do anything about Adobe abandoning us power pc users?
Is this Adobe walking all over apple simply because apple is based out of Japan and they have so much going on after the tsunami disaster?  Is adobe ran by the republican right wing conspiracy party?  Will my computer ever be usable on the internet again?  Can I have any relief for this headache without opening up my wallet?  Do I have to write a letter to a politician?  This is absurd.  There is no need for me to upgrade, other than the fact that Adobe Flash player is not supporting my computer model, probably because Adobe saw a chance to dump on Mac when it could.  I still like you apple, sorry Adobe has horrible business ethics, and sorry they kicked you in the balls when you had the weight of the world on your back. Please keep making great products and don't let idiots like adobe give you a bad reputation.

This is not related to Flash. Something has gone wrong with your machine somewhere - music does not depend on Flash, and many websites don't depend on it either, and the BBC iPlayer doesn't require the latest Flash either.

If you go to Adobe's site and then the Archived Software page, and download Flash Player 10.1 , you will find it works for many sites.
Can't MAC do anything about Adobe abandoning us power pc users?
No. We are the unlucky inheritors of a big quarrel between Steve Jobs and Adobe. Adobe do not recognise the PPC platform any more.

Apple are based in Cupertino, California!!!

Try Flash 10.1 like I suggested. As for Adobe, forget it. There's nothing you, or anyone, can do to repair the rift and get Adobe to do something that in reality is not really profitable for them. As for reputations, Apple's has been stronger than Adobe's for some years now.

  • Adobe flash Player for Power PC ?!!!!!

Hi guys, I have an iMac G5  PowerMac8,2   PowerPC G5  (3.0), I did a big mistake and upgraded my Adobe flash player, I tried many older versions for power pc but nothing really worked, please tell me what to do.
    Thanks

Yes, is this what you already tried though?
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,
    Download this if you haven't...
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.6 4_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!
Or I put up the smaller ones here...
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/450421/flashplayer10_1r82_76_ub_mac%20copy.dmg.zip
    Stand alone player...
    http://dl.dropbox.com/u/450421/LastFlashPPC.zip
I guess the best version is 10.1, is that right ?!
Yep, 10.1.102.64 is the absolute latest for our PPC Macs.

  • Solution center suddenly ask for enabling Adobe Flash player for internet explorer for scanning

Solution center suddenly ask for enabling Adobe Flash player for internet explorer for scanning. However, flash player is installed and enabled, but HP Solution center keeps asking for enabling and doesn't let me scan.
    Any suggestion?

Hello there! Welcome to the forums @yuvalyanai
I read about the issue you are having with scanning, as you are seeing a message to enable Adobe Flash player.
To begin, I would like to know some more information:
Which operating system you are running and which printer you are working with?
How Do I Find My Model Number?
Which Windows Operating System am I running?
    Can you make copies successfully?
Can you print from your computer?
Have you tried updated Adobe Flash player?
Can you scan successfully from Microsoft Paint?
How is your printer connected to your PC, wireless, ethernet or USB?
In the meantime, try resetting the printer:
Press the Power button to turn on the product.
With the product turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
If the product does not turn on by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
I hope to hear from you, have a wonderful weekend

  • How do I report a bug against Flash Player for Google Chrome?

Flash Player for Google Chrome is currently developed jointly between Adobe and Google.  Because of this relationship, we would like to encourage users that are encountering issues with Chrome's Flash Player to report bugs directly to the Chromium database.  You can do this by filling out the following form:
    New Chromium bug report
    Please include the following details:
    Operating System
    Chrome version
    Flash Player version
    URL where problem was encountered
    Steps to reproduce
    Other browsers tested
Crash ID if applicable (visit "about:flash" in Chrome to find the appropriate crash ID.)
If you are running into a video or 3D related bug, please navigate to "about:gpu", save and attach this information to your bug report
Once added, please create a new forum thread (or bug report at bugbase.adobe.com) with your Chromium bug URL/number so we can follow up internally.
Please be aware that Chrome Windows now includes a new, more secure, plugin platform for Flash Player (PPAPI).  When troubleshooting your problem, we recommend testing against the older NPAPI version of Flash Player.  Steps detailing this process can be found here:  Enable system Flash Player in Google Chrome | Windows | Mac
Finally, you might also consider testing your issue out against the Chrome beta and Canary (alpha) builds to see if the problem has been resolved.

    Hi Ellen,
    Hope you are doing good.
The best option would be to raise a OSS incident in the component: CA-VE-VEV or CA-VE-CAD so that my colleagues can actually investigate this further and release a bug patch if needed.
    Thank you!

  • Is there any way to repair (re-install) the internal flash player for IE10?

    Hi eveyone,
    In short;
been running Win 8 Pro 64-bit for a couple of days now. Decided it was time to try out some software so installed  a trial of Fix It Utilities Professional (bad decision).
Installed it, played around for a bit and after a while I came up with the brilliant idea of running a registry clean/fix (insert facepalm) and some overall clean-up, just curious
    to seel the results.
Being stupid and feeling lazy, cleaned everything and didn't create a backup. Everything seemed fine afterwards. Only the internal flash player for IE 10 dissapeared
from the Add-ons list, hence the plugin itself stopped working.I've tried everything I think I've tried all the help options I could find on the Adobe site, but nothing seems to work (un-install tool,
delete files and folders, IE's security settings back to default, checked ActiveX status and permissons, reset all data and settings for IE10 etc) Something must have been modified in the registry
but I'm just unable to locate the problem. I also installed the latest beta for Chrome and that's working like a charm, no problems at all and the performance is great.
So this is the error I receive:
I'm kinda stuck now; the installer won't let me installl it because IE has a built in plugin, but it's not working in IE. It's not even visible in the add-on menu.
I know it was a pretty stupid thing to do, but I still hope someone here knows what to do. I;m kinda running out of ideas/options (not going to edit the registry myself, because you can
bet your money this will only have a negative outcome
    thanks in advance!
    edit
the last thing I can think of is that OpenOffice and Windows Live Messenger also use flash, if i'm correct. E.g. in the OpenOffice folder there is a flash.dll file. Could these files be of real
    influence?
ill copy all the current flash files and keys/values, seems the only way to clear thing ups a bit

No, you can ask questions, but you'll have to wait until someone shows up who knows the answer.
I do not have Windows 8 / IE10, so I don't know anything about it.
You may have to wait until US daytime; maybe someone from the Adobe staff knows the answer.  But you may be better off asking in a IE10 forum.
Meanwhile check if you can find any relevant information in http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/flashplayer/pdfs/flas h_player_windows8_admin_guide.pdf

  • Flash Player for Firefox on Win 8 / 64 bit

I'm trying to install Flash Player for Firefox on a Windows 8, 64 bit system, but have been having no end of grief.
I've finally traced the problem back to the origin, and it's happening because when I enter the info on the download page, it serves up the installer for the 32 bit version instead.
It does in fact verify on the page that I'm requesting and downloading the 64 bit version, but what I receive and then install is 32 bit.  And consequently, I can't get Flash Player to work in Firefox.
Is there any way at all I can access the real 64 bit Flash Player for Firefox / Windows 8?

There is no separate 32-bit and 64-bit installer; on a 64-bit system the installer will automatically install both 32-bit and 64-bit players.
    Download the installer from http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player.exe

how can i install flash player for window 8.1(64 bit) on my laptop?

For Internet Explorer, you don't. Microsoft has already done it.
For Firefox, Opera or Safari, use the Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
For Chrome, you don't need to wither because Google puts it in the browser.

How do I download Adobe Flash Player for a computer that does not have internet?

    Hello Walter,
that's it, usually you get and Adobe Flash Player Installer only.  For a distribution in a company, or an installation on a PC without internet access, Adobe has available an offline installer. This installer you don't need to uncompress it first. You can download the installation file from there (you must logged in with your Adobe ID): http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html

If you find anything out please share.  I have flash projects (SWF) files created in Captivate 5 that play fine in Flash and Dreamweaver, but freeze up on the web in safari, firefox, opera and chrome.  Even files that used to play just fine.  This upgrade has been a nightmare - I have spent hours troubleshooting to no avail.  It does not seem to be a problem for windows users - only macs.

  • The new versions of Flash Player for Android are still not in the Archive page!

I feel like something is missing in the Flash Player Archive page.  Yesterday, I read that the new Flash Player version for Android 2.x/3.x is now version 11.1.111.73, and that the new Flash Player version for Android 4.x is now 11.1.115.81, but instead, all I see are previous versions of Flash Player for Android 4.x, 3.x, and 2.x!  When will the newest Flash Player versions for Android be available to the archive page?  Here's a link for the Archive Page:  http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

Ok, we're fixing it and it should be resolved by tomorrow.  Please let me know if you can't find it by tomorrow evening.
Thanks again for letting us know!

  • Why can't I find Adobe Flash Player for Linux/Firefox 4

I can't figure out how to get Adobe Flash or Shockwave player for Firefox 4. Running Ubuntu 10.04 and when I try to find them in add-ins for FF4 there seems to be nothing. I am not the world's most experienced Linux guy but since Flash and Shockwave are so common it seems curious that they don't have them as add-ins for FF4. Maybe I'm just so far off track on this one it may be the dumbest question anyone has ever asked. But what the heck, you never know the answer if you don't ask the question.
    Thanks!

There is no flash player for the iphone and Adobe would be the one to develop one, not Apple. And there are no plugins to install instead, as far as I know.
