Flash Player for Solaris - And J2SE 6.0 for Solaris

Hello,
The current version of flash player for Solaris is 7.0.67.0. For Windows it is 9.0.45.0. What gives? Is Adobe just giving up on Solaris? Now, in Firefox and Mozilla for Solaris, imbedded videos on web pages such as www.nytimes.com will not display, apparently due to the ancient version of Flash for Solaris.
Also, does anyone know when and the new java runtime j2se 6.0 will be released as a patch for Solaris 10? The patches are 118666 and 118667.
Thank you.....

From Adobe Lans web site above:
Adobe Labs is currently featuring prerelease versions of the Flash Player 9 Update software. The prerelease program for Flash Player 9 for Solaris is closed at this time, and Solaris versions of Flash Player 9 will be available shortly from Adobe.com.

How do I install Flash Player on my BlackBerry Bold? Need help.

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by right clicking one (or both) of the following links and selecting the "Save as" option.
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
Reboot, and then run the installer(s) from your downloads folder.

There is no "flash player similar to Adobe Flash Player". Flash is a proprietary Adobe product. There is currently no version of Flash for iOS.

  • "Install Adobe Flash Player" is damaged and can't be opened

The subject line of this discussion is what is displayed when I go to try to install Adobe Flash. I have a Mac OS X 10.9.3. I had Flash downloaded for a while, but the last update wouldn't update. It would download, but then when I went to open it it would say "Retrieving Install" and the meter would remain at 0%. It never went a step beyond that. After trying many times, per the instructions of the website, I deleted Flash from my computer using the Adobe uninstaller downloaded from this site. Now that I am trying to reinstall Flash I keep getting the message "'Install Adobe Flash Player' is damaged and can't be opened. You should eject the disk image". What should I do from here? I would appreciate any help!

You should make sure you do a complete uninstall of the flash player first and then install the latest FP14 version from this link - Use http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/support/install_flash_player_osx.dm g

  • Videos that require flash player constantly restart and freeze

Running Windows 7 and have tried multiple browers and versions of Adobe Flash Player (all set back to the latest versions as of right now), and have updated my video drivers, but no matter what if I go on any website like YouTube that uses Flash Player, I can watch a video for a couple minutes and then Flash Player will freeze and reboot the video to the beginning. Closing out the window doesn't help, refreshing the page doesn't help either, it will still just let me watch for a few minutes and then freeze and restart. Very frusterated here, any idea what the problem is??

-Using 64 bit version and I've tried literally every available copy of Flash Player located in the archives. It only started doing this I'd say about a month ago maybe.

  • Flash Player, Adobe Reader and Java

It came to my surprise when I removed flash player, adobe reader and java (not the base) my system is not heating up while i am on youtube (as i am using html5). So this means there are some serious issues with flash player on mac.
My recommendation to people using flash is to stop using it.

Works fine for me - I haven't made the YouTube HTML5 transition yet - I suppose because I don't have any issues with Flash Player.
Adobe Reader shouldn't cause your system to overheat at all - I keep Adobe Acrobat XI Pro open 24/7.

  • Why doesn't flash player stay installed and why does the saved file disappear.

Why doesn't flash player stay installed and why does the saved file disappear.  I have downloaded and installed flash player several times on my Win7 Vaio laptop. I have uninstalled and deleted all versions.  I am the administrator and I have also turned off my Security Software, but the same thing keeps happening over and over.  The Java Script is enabled and I have tried both downloading via IE and firefox.  It is rediculous that it keeps disappearing and I keep getting messages that the newest version is needed.  I am downloading directly from adobe and they say it is the latest.  Getting very frustrated.  They ask if we have any problems when we go to the finish line, but there is no place for comments.  I guess they don't really care if it works or not.

So is it actually installed, or is it not?  If not, download and run the offline installers:
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
If it still does not work correctly, check
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/885448
    http://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
In Firefox also check if the Shockwave Flash plugin is enabled.

  • Flash Player 10.3 and Internet Explorer 9 update and workarounds

    Hello Flash Player community,
We are tracking the issues being reported on Flash Player 10.3.181.14 and Internet Explorer 9 and actively investigating them.  Users are reporting that Flash content is being displayed in the upper left corner of the screen.  We want to give those who are encountering these issues an update.
First, we apologize to everyone affected.  We know you count on Flash Player as an integral component of the web and we strive for high quality and performance in each release.  We are actively looking into the root cause of this issue.  Thanks to many of you submitting information via email and our online bug database, we now have some solid leads we are pursuing.
Flash Player 10 and later can use your system’s graphics hardware to accelerate video decoding, and can also accelerate video presentation on some sites. Starting with Flash Player 10.2, Flash Player will also take advantage of hardware accelerated graphics in Internet Explorer 9, utilizing hardware rendering surfaces to improve graphics performance.
With Flash Player 10.3.181.14, reports indicate that systems with Intel HD Graphics adapters running Internet Explorer 9 are the only systems impacted by this particular bug.  If you are encountering this issue and have a different configuration we'd love to hear from you.  Please review the instructions on this page for details on generating the information we'll need for further investigation.
    Solution #1
Adobe has officially released Flash Player 10.3.181.16 for Internet Explorer to address the graphical issues introduced in 10.3.181.14.  You can get this release by visiting our official download page, directly downloading and running the installer file, or using the Flash Player auto update mechanism.
After installing, we recommend you re-enable hardware acceleration if you had it previously disabled.  We also recommend you clear your browser cache and restart your system.
If you continue to encounter issues, please create a new thread and we'll do our best to investigate further.
    Solution #2
On some systems, you may be able to resolve this issue by updating the Intel HD Graphics drivers. It has been reported that driver versions 8.15.10.2361 and above do not exhibit this bug. Unfortunately, some systems might require updates directly from your system manufacturer. We’re working with system manufacturers to make sure they include the latest drivers in future releases.
    Solution #3
You can disable hardware acceleration in Internet Explorer 9 using the instructions on this page. Please note that you should re-enable hardware acceleration once this problem has been resolved to enjoy the full benefits of hardware acceleration.
    Thank you,
    The Flash Player team
Update 5/20/11 - We've temporarily disabled the automatic update notification for Flash Player 10.3 and Internet Explorer.  We're making progress on a fix and hope to have a new version available next week.
Update 5/24/11 - Added link to the 10.3.181.15 test update
Update 5/27/11 - Added instructions for post install of 10.3.181.15
Update 5/31/11 - Updated thread with the official 10.3.181.16 announcement

FOR THOSE RUNNING IE9 ON WINDOWS 7 AND HAVE INSTALLED THE AUTOMATIC UPDATE FOR ADOBE FLASH PLAYER 10.3 - TAKE THE FOLLOWING STEPS:
Open IE9 Browser window > Click on "Tools" > Click on "Internet Options" > Selct the "Advanced" Tab > Turn on/Click the "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering" > Click "Apply" > Click "OK" > Shut down and then restart your IE9 browser.
THIS WILL BE A TEMPORARY FIX FOR ANY ISSUES YOU MAY HAVE WITH THE CONSTANT FLOOD OF FLASHING ADS AND THE LIKE UNTIL A PATCH IS MADE AVAILABLE FOR THIS UPDATE.
    OTHER QUICK FIXES WOULD INCLUDE:
    1) UN-INSTALLING 10.3 AND RE-DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING 10.2 FOR THE TIME BEING. **BE SURE TO AVOID RE-INSTALLING THE AUTOMATIC UPDATE OF 10.3 AGAIN**
    2) DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING "MOZILLA FIREFOX" AND USING IT AS YOUR WEB BROWSER!!

  • Flash Player 9.x and 10.x crashes Mozilla Firefox 5.x and 6.x

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit with 8GB of RAM and plenty of hard drive space.
I've been unable to visit any Web site with Mozila Firefox 5.x and now 6.x that has Flash content. Previously I had Flash Player 9.x and it was updated on August 13, 2011 to version 10.3.183.5.
I've manually disabled ALL plugins and determined that if I enable only the Shockwave Flash 10.3.183.5 plugin and visit a site that uses Flash content, such as http://www.native-instruments.com, Firefox will instantly crash and present me with the Mozilla Crash Reporter.
I do not have this issue with Internet Explorer 9.x or Google Chrome 13.x.
Other than the long, involved procedure involving the Backdoor.Ulrbot.C virus that Mozilla Support describes, are there any other suggetions you might have.
    Thanks very much.

    Well, according to http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe%20Mode,
You can elect to make the following changes:
Disable all add-ons: If you select this box and then click Make Changes and Restart then Firefox will start back up in its normal mode, except all your  extensions, themes, and plugins will be disabled (not uninstalled).
So how can Flash Player plugin run in Firefox Safe Mode if it's a plugin and it's disabled?
I've already determined that Flash Player is the problem by having it as the only add-on (plugin) that's enabled. All other extensions and plugins except for Firefox are disabled. My theme is the default one.
The site I visit doesn't matter, if it has Flash content on the page I'm visiting Firefox instantly crashes.
