Flash player glitch on Youtube's videos ONLY !!

Hi there,
I have some issues with Adobe Flash Player on Youtube's video only (both browsers : IE and Firefox). Other sites using flash player are working, like Megavideo or VideoBB. I have Windows 7 and the beta release of Firefox (I had the 3.6 version with the same issue).
So, to make it clear, I made a video for that. >>Click me<<
As you can see, sound's good, but I can't see videos on the website, but if I pop it out, it works ! (Full screen doesn't work too)
Can some one explain to me how can I fix this issue ?
Thank's.

That's interesting that Fraps fixed this for you.  Would you mind doing a couple of things for me?  First, if you right click the video that you took (thanks btw!), and select "Show video info" what type of rendering is now displayed?  Is it "accelerated video rendering"?
Finally, would you mind generating a DXDiag report and emailing it to us (along with a link to this thread)?  You can find full details on this page.
Thanks,
Chris

  • Flash player crashes when opening a video

A user with Windows XP Pro (32 bit) appears to successfully install Flash Player, and short flash sequences embedded in web pages seem to display OK. But any time she tries to play a video from within a browser she gets the message "The Adobe Flash Player has crashed" and the video will not play.
We've tried uninstalling Flash Player then reinstalling in both Firefox and IE. Firefox 3.6.27, IE8, Shockwave Flash 11.2.102.55
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It didn't work for me either:
Using FireFox 10.0.2 and Flash Player 11.1.102.62 (or any other combination that I have tried so far) on Windows 7 64 bit, after a few seconds of playing a YouTube video the video freezes up and after a few more seconds I get the frowny face with the message that Flash Player has crashed.  Several people have recommended disabling hardware acceleration but that didn't help.  The only way I can get it to play YouTube videos is to go to FireFox Plugins and disable the Shockwave plugin.  Now I can play YouTube videos, but some videos that come to me from other platforms pop up with the message:  "This plugin is disabled."
I used to be able to play all videos with no problem up to about two weeks ago. I don't want to have to restore to a previous time if I don't have to.
Also, when I use Internet Explorer I have no problems playing either YouTube of those from other sources.
I have seen a lot of questions on this problem but no good answers that have worked for me.
BTW, on each crash I clicked on reload and submit report, but don't know if it goes anywhere.

  • Flash player works on youtube but not yahoo homepage

Flash player works on youtube but when trying to watch video on yahoo homepage says need to download adobe flash player I have already uninstalled several times but still won't work please help

YouTube uses javascript to determine if Flash Player is installed and switches to HTML5 (MP4), which requires no plugin, if Flash Player isn't detected. Yahoo doesn't do that yet. Here's why this is important, especially if you're using IE11.
The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.9.900.170 videos

I am having problems with the latest Flash Player 11.9.900.170 on Windows 7. I followed all the instructions after installation and everytime that I go to a website the Adobe Flash Player Settings box covers the video with "allow" or "deny". And no matter what I set the download setting, this box is always blocking the video and if I hit "allow" or "deny", nothing changes?

You can set  your storage settings here: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager03.htm l
It is recommeded that you allow data to store temporarily for playback.

  • Flash player controls (for live streaming video) frozen...

    Hello,
Lion, Flash Player, and CNN's live-video player are not playing together nicely on our 2010 MBP 13". In fact, they're not playing.
Have tried the latest suggested fix, which is to right click on the errant video stream, then disable hardware acceleration. Unfortunately, right clicking brings up a "frozen" settings box. None of the buttons can be clicked, not even cancel.
Have accessed Flash Player through the Control Panel, but there is no switch there for hardware acceleration.
Bottom line, am now unable to view live video content from CNN and others.
Have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash. Have tried Safari, Firefox and Chrome. And am not a step closer to a solution. Was hopeful that today's install of Lion would set things right, but alas...
    Your suggestions greatly appreciated.

About a half-hour after making the changes I outlined above, and long after I closed the active Safari window, noticed that my MBP was uncharacteristically hot. Extremely hot!
Opened Activity Monitor and saw that Flash Player was still running (?) and using a tremendous amount of system resources. I then quit Safari altogether. Within moments, the heat began to subside.
May be something you want to keep an eye on...

  • Flash player won't play CNN video

Please help, I'm at my wits end. I've been working on this issue for a few weeks. I have Win7 / IE8 / FP 11.3.300.270
The problem is my flash player simply refuses to play videos from CNN. Everything else works fine. I've uninstalled and installed at least 100 times-nothing. I've set and reset all the settings suggested by Adobe.com-nothing. I've read and re-read forums in Google, Adobe and anything else I can find on the 'net-nothing.
This has become increasingly frustrating. Please help!!

I see the player open and all the periphreals load then I get a red circle in the middle of the player that says loading. When that stops the screen is just black-no video or sound...

  • I have a Mid 2009 Macbook Pro 13 with no restore disk; it has OS 10.8.4 I believe there is something wrong with the OS due to I can not install flash player to view Youtube videos and the when we plug in a Bose headset the sound out will work sometimes

I bough a used Macbook Pro mid 2009 that came with OS 10.8.9 it didn't have a backup restore disk with S/N W8******66D
When trying to view some youtube videos; a window would pop up saying "it needs adobe flash player is required for video play back get the latest flash player" but after downloading the file and during installation would have errors and will not installed.....tried to reboot and install again.....but still the same.
The othe thing I had noticed is when using a good Bose headset with mic the sound output would noticed the headset and then switch from headset to Internal speekers and headset.....thinking that there might be something wrong with the plug in port of the computer or the headset.....the headset works with no issues on my iPad so there must be something wrong with the computer.....tried to move the plugin around the port but no change....while the headset is plug in can hear a short clicking noise and the sound would get lost and back again......but with nothing plugin to the port there is no issue with the sound or mic.
Thanks for your feed back......it looks like I have two different issues one is a software issue and the outher is a hardware issue

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

  • After installing Mozilla Firefox 20.0 with Adobe Flash Player 11.6, YouTube videos won't load properly.

YouTube videos worked fine before installing Adobe Flash Player. When installed the screen flickers after one second, rewinds to the beginning, then plays normally. This doesn't occur when I use Internet Explorer. I have reinstalled both Mozilla Firefox and Adobe Flash Player many times but nothing seems to work . Downgrading Adobe Flash Player didn't work either. It seems like Firefox is the problem but I'm not completely sure.

    Hi All,
Thanks a lot "cor-el". I also suffered from the above issue. And after I disabled the protected mode by editing "mms.cfg" file the issue got resolved. Now flash player is working fine.

  • Windoes 8 flash player installed but youtube videos not working?

I brought a laptop that already came with windows 8 installed on it and adobe flash player. it says i have adobe flash player and there are no problems with it but when i play youtube videos its just instead of the box where the video should be its just black blox instead with not even the buffering sign or play button or anything. so how do i fix this?

If you right click on the black box, do you see a menu appear (displaying About Flash Player at the bottom)?  Do you see the same behavior when using IE in either desktop or modern/metro mode?  For details on these differences and a couple of other troubleshooting steps, please see this help doc:

  • Flash Player w/embedded YouTube videos in PPT 2010

Embedded YouTube video won't play in PPT2010; error message says newer version Flash player needed (newest alreadt installed).

Yes, I have the latest version installed.  I finally discovered yesterday that evidently YouTube has made a change to their coding in the past week, and there is now a double entry of code that I must delete before the embedding works correctly ... at least until there is a fix.  Thanks.

  • Flash Player Not Playing YouTube Videos bigger than 360p on IE10

    Hi Guys
I've been playing YouTube videos on Internet Explorer 10 without a problem but today I suddenly cannot play any video higher than 360p. All I get is a black oblong box with no loading wheel or player controls. When I right click it says "movie not loaded". My Flash Player is version 11,9,900,117. I can still play 720p on Firefox or Chrome, although they do not seem as smooth as they used to (but that may just be my imagination).
Any ideas why and what I can do? All the research suggests it could be Flash Player but I appreciate this problem may not be directly Flash Player (I'm trying all the various forums to try and identify where the problem is).
    Regards,
    Graham
