Flash Player Icon Shows Instead Of Favicon

Hello all,
I have my site with only google ads enabled which are generally image text ads. But for some reasons I keep getting the flash player icon whenever I visit it. With other sites i got the site favicon as usual. This is happening with Firefox only. Can any one share me the solution for this. I'm really concerned about this.Any help will be appreciated.

That's the indication in Firefox that one or more plugins are loaded on the page. You will see it on every site that uses Flash.
The favicon in Firefox is on the TAB, not on the address bar. It's a security feature to stop people using a padlock symbol as a favicon.

Several sites such as Hulu.com and my university homework page keep telling me that I require Flash Player 10 or higher and to download and install before continuing. So when I try, this is the message I get: Flash Player is pre-installed with Internet Explorer in Windows 8. And then in the box below, it says: Flash Player is disabled. I've tried all of the steps to correct this issue, but nothing is working for me. Microsoft embeds Flash Player in Internet Explorer on Windows 8.x so you won't see a separate item in Programs and Features for Flash Player ActiveX (the version used by IE). If you install Flash Player Plug-in for non-IE browsers it'll create an entry in Programs and Features.
Since you didn't specify which troubleshooting steps you've taken, have you tried the ones listed here Flash Player Issues | Windows 8? Also, when you go to this page, Adobe - Flash Player do you see the Flash animation at the top of the page? If so, what version is detected as being installed in the 'Version Information' widget? The latest Flash Player version for IE is 15.0.0.167. If that's not the version listed, please run Windows Update to get the latest version of Internet Explorer or use the link at the bottom of the Flash Player Issues | Windows 8 page.

Flash Player Icon

I just updated my Flash Player and am left with a Flash Player Icon on my desktop.
What do I do with this Icon?
Also, do I have to trash the older version, if yes where do I find it?
Under "About this Mac" it shows Flash Player 10.0.27.87
It also shows Install Flash Player Install Manager 11.2.202.235
Do I do anything with these?

The icon is probably a disk image. Double-click it and you should see the Flash installer. Double-click that to run the installer. Then eject the disk image the same way you would unmount an external disk. Delete the disk image file from your Downloads folder.
Do the above only if you downloaded the installer directly from adobe.com. Otherwise, don't run the installer; just delete the file.

Do big picture by flash player 14 shows related to browsers.IE10 best,chrome 37 worst.

So whenever my website is opened in IE10, it works perfectly fine, but when it is opened in Chrome37 or Firefox31, my background images don't show up. It seems like it gets the most problems when opened in Chrome.
The image is size of 9450*9450 when it don't shows up and it works well if i change the size of image to 9344*7600. The verison of flash player verison is 14.0 .
Question: Do big picture by flash player 14 shows related to browsers.IE10 best,chrome 37 worst.
Is anyone else having this problem and can help?

Flash Player not showing up in Safari Plug-ins/Firefox Add-ons

OS: Mac OSX 10.4.11
Safari version: 4.1.3
Firefox version: 3.0.19
I am trying to do an online training course, but the site tells me I need to install the Flash Player plug-in to be able to view the site. I downloaded the newest version, and thought I had installed it, but I still get the same message when I go to the course website, and Flash Player doesn't show up anywhere in my plug-in/add-on lists for Safari or Firefox. Is there something I'm not doing right? Is my computer just too outdated? Or is this more likely to be a problem with that website. I haven't noticed problems with any other site, but I confess I haven't really been looking. Any ideas? Thanks!

Do you know if your computer is Intel or Power PC based? If it's Power PC (sometime referred to as PPC) the last version of Flash Player for this architecture can be found here: Flash Player 10.1.102.64
Please download and extract the zip. Navigate to and mount "/Flash Player 10.1.102.64/10_1r102_64/flashplayer10_1r102_64_ub_mac.dmg" You should then be able to install using the normal procedure.

Flash player not showing up in start menue?

installed version 11 7 700 202 on new computer running windows 7 and internet explorer. Installations said complete, but the program does not show up in the start menue and does not activate when trying to view videos, sometimes getting the message that I do not have flashplayer plugin downloaded? On the adobe help site the find version help tool displays that "flash player is running on your system" by showing the movie of that text and a red ball. So what the heck is going on. I have restarted the computer a couple time too?

Flash Player is only a browser add-on, not an executable program, so it won't appear in the Start menu.

Flash player to show current bitrate on a graph

Hi guys,
As I remember, Adobe had one flash player that can show current video bitrate on a graph which is really useful when you want to show people how smooth FMS works when it switch between different bitrates.

Are you talking about the OSMF player that is on the media servers default webpage, "amsInstallDir/webroot/swfs/adobedemoplayer_pc.swf"?
I am not sure which player it's based on, or if they included the source for it. I hope they did.

Mavericks 10.9.4
Firefox 30.0
Flash Player Plugin 14.0.0.125
The plugin is visually verified to be properly installed in the "Internet Plug-Ins" folder in the main library, and not the user library.

My doubt was correct. It was all due to the blank device list. After lot of struggle I found this solution worked for me:
1. As soon as the plug-in tries to access webcam, it will show you "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
2. Click Deny then Close to close it
3. Now press tab key on keyboard. It will highlight (in yellow) and show list of devices in video device dropdown control (This could be little bit tricky and you need to put little bit more efforts to see the list). You can now select your webcam as device here.
4. Press Tab key again to go audio dropdown and select audio device.
5. Then right click and bring up "Adobe Flash Player Settings" again.
6. Under Microphone and Camera tabs, make sure we select same devices we selected in 3 & 4 above
7. Come back to privacy tab and this time chose "Allow" and then close "Adobe Flash Player Settings" box
8. You should now see the camera images in the plug-in
Conclusion: This is a workaround worked for me. Plug-in is quite unstable and there is definitely something here Adobe Flash Player plug-in developers need to do about.

Adobe Flash Player only shows black box on most websites.

Adobe Flash Player 11.4.402.287 is only showing a black box but not loading or showing any buttons on some/most websites. I am running Mac OS X 10.7.5 and the problem exists on websites such as espn.com but works on others such as hulu and youtube. It exists on Google Chrome and Firefox. I had some adblock and flash add-ons in Firefox, but I have the add-ons disabled. And the problem exists in both browsers. It has been a problem for less than a month but I am not sure entirely how much longer. I was outside of the US until recently, the problem may have corresponded with return but I am not sure. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Flash to no avail.
Does anyone have any ideas? Much appreciated.

I am facing the same issues as well. In particular, I can't play flash videos on www.blizzard.com as the video controls doesn't show up.
YouTube and Facebook flash videos work fine.
After deleting ~/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player and ~/Library/Caches/Adobe/Flash Player, the controls appeared.
Perhaps you may want to try that?

This is Vista.
Go to the Inspiron 1525 support page. Find the small blue "Change OS" and click on the arrow. Select Vista.Then download and install these 3 items with a restart between each one.
1. Dell System Software in the System Utilities category.
2. Intel Mobile Chipset in the Chipset category.
3. Sigmatel audio driver in the Audio category.
See if it works any better after you get the Sigmatel driver installed.

Flash player not showing all of pix on web page

Have latest flash player 11, IE 10, windows 7 64bit. Have tried everything that I have found on your site, still having problem when I go to a page, all of pix will not show up. Have downloaded firefox, but it is the same. Also talked to internet provider, says its not their problem, but they tried a lot of different thing. Activex filtering not checked. Shockwave flash object enabled. What should I do next?????

How can I get flash player to show full video using Firefox (23.0.1) on MAC (OSX 10.8.4)

On Youtube and other sites, I only see the top left quadrant of the video. I tried uninstalling and re-installing the latest flash player and that did not solve the problem.

Actually, that was my fault - I saw "Tab" and thought of the full settings display and way I'd normally get to the proper place. Anyway, I tried taing the number fo time you mentioned but it did not work. Pressing the Tab key 6 tims and pressing enter did get me to the right place. Pressing Tab once highlights the full box (note yellow outline in 1st pic below:
From there, if I "press Enter again. Press Tab 5 (five) more times, press Enter and close the box." the box does not close and I get to:
If, on the other hand, when I get to the Display page a press tab twice, it highlights the item I need to uncheck as shown below:
If from there I Press enter, it does nto uncheck the box, which is what I think needs to be done. Neither does the space bar. And if I follow out the instructions from there I get to"
So, I'm guesing we may have different items on the setting pages. My version of flash is 11.8.800.94.

Im trying to install flash player 10 on a mac mini when i go to websites that require the player they work fine. but when i search for flash player on my mini i cant find it. I simply just need to view a Swf i made can anyone help?

Flash Player is a browser plugin. It's not designed to work as a standalone app for opening FLV or SWF. You can either open those using File: Open in your browser, or you can get the FLash Player 10 Standalone player from the archived players technote here: kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
