Flash player is very jerky

I just replace flashplayer 9 with flashplayer 10 on 4 1 2009.
I am using IE7, XPHome SP3. The main reason I replace fp 9 with
fp10 is that fp 9 got to be real jerky and you could not watch a
movie or tv show. Now that I have install fp 10 I still have the
same problems it may even be worse. I thing that maybe I am just
missing a setting but not sure where to look. PLease help

I have same problem but with Firefox 3.0.5. Happens about 80% of feeds that are "enabled".

  • Flash player runs slow, jerky, performance problems (Apple OS 10.4.7)

I'm working on a Macintosh 1.35GHz PowerPC G4 Mac OSX version
10.4.7. I have Flash Player 9 installed on my machine. When I run
games on the Neopets web site (yes, I am an adult and yes the games
are actually fun) many of them are so jerky and slow that they are
completely unplayable. I have the same problem on another machine
(Dual 2Ghz processor, Mac OS 10.4.7). What's weird is that the
games used to run faster. I believe the slowdown occured in one of
my recent OS updates. I've tried this with both Safari and Firefox
and have the same problem with both.
In particular: Moon Rock Rampage (try picking up a piece or
killing a creature - both will grind to a halt), which can be seen
    here:

Hi, LOL at my screen moniker. That's interesting that the FF beta has an Option for that. The only problem, is that I have heard that each browser must UNcheck the H.A. I'm sure you'll find out.
Hope that works at least for FF. Let me know if you have time.
I've been checking out Apple TV and Google TV. Just saved the links and some info, haven't had time to go further. I'd prefer Apple TV over Google tho.
I have a 55" HD Sony/Blu-ray Surround Sound Speakers, etc. I hooked up the VGA cable for Internet, and WOW on the Screen/Monitor!! Now I'm thinking about the iPhone 4 with VZ too, on their pre-order list for 2/3/11!
Hard to keep up with the Technology, moving faster today for some reason.
We are under the Snow & Ice warning, getting it now. Hope I don't lose power! If so, I'll be offline for sure.
If I find anything on that H.A. for IE, I'll let you know.
    Thanks,

  • Flash player is very choppy

    Hello.
Web videos in Flash Player 9 (Firefox, OS 10.3.9) are very
choppy. My download speed is 1.6 mbs; I am using a G4, dual 450.
Can you tell me why I am unable to view videos and what to do about
    it?
    Thanks.

Not sure what the problem is, but before this last update I
never had a complaint about any type Flash Product, but today is my
first, I have been watching the television websites on my PC for a
long time now, I love to watch the shows on CBS (which is my
favorite site) in a large view, which is full screen. However with
this last update I am now unabe to do this, because as soon as I go
larger screen the video becomes so choppy that it is unwatchable.
Please repair or atleast patch this problem so that I may be able
to watch the shows again in FULL VIEW!
    Thank you

This page tells you all you need to know about downgrading a package:
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Do … g_Packages
Edit: I would recommend the ARM method for finding an old binary file if you don't have it in your cache.

  • Adobe flash player and intel x3100 chipset

    My name is Jamie
I would just like to say that the beta release of flash player works very well on intel X3100 chipset as well.

It seems that going to Preferences>Security> Check allow plug ins, then manage sites, and then allowing one site allows all??? Seems like a lot to go through.  I have installed the player 4 times now and just got it figured out!

  • How can I tell if I have installed flash player properly

I had to reinstall flash player

The problem is that apps that use flash player run very slow or not at all.
That was the reason I reinstalled adobe.  Any ideas.  I using vista 32 bit explore 8 32 bit
I am getting a little fustrated as I have worked on this on and off for four days.

Hi, As long as you are sure your Flash files are correct then that is ok. Sometimes during an Uninstall/Install an old file may not have been removed and can cause an issue. That is what I wanted to check, but if you know then that is ok too.
Did you test at this site and were you able to see the Flash logo animate(spin) and the FP vs 10.1.102.64 displayed?
If so then FP should be Installed and working. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
On Audio, did you have any audio issues prior to updating to the latest version of FP? You may want to check your Volume settings.
Have you tried turning off the hardware acceleration to see if that helps? You would go to the test site and right click on the Flash logo, then Settings and UNcheck on the Display Settings.
    Let me know,
    Thanks,

  • Poor Flash Player Performance in Mozzilla Firefox

    Hello!
I have recently noticed that Adobe Flash Player has very bad performance in Mozzilla Firefox. The most common issue is with 4K YouTube videos. I have a GTX 770 graphics card, so there should not be any problem with these videos, and there is not any problem in other browsers. But for some reason, I get very low framerates in Firefox while watching 4K videos. I tried to reinstall Flash Player, but it did not help me. I have the latest stable Nvidia drivers.
What can cause the bad performance?

    http://blogs.adobe.com/penguin.swf/2008 … ile_1.html
In all my systems i put that mms.cfg file; regardless of whether crappy flash thinks my GPU is capable or not!

  • Unable to install any ver of Flash Player

In trying to incorporate new external HD, by selecting and dragging the computer HD into that folder,  I didn't see any change in the availabe space
on the ext. HD. I clicked the icon and dragged it to the original venue, I was met with two successive gray screens, with a message to reboot.
Nothing helped but reloading the OS. Hours  later with every in Its place I tried to  watch videos on various sites. All required me
to install Flash Player. What ever ver was installed prior to the crash it was the latest.
I tried nearly every download available. When each didn't work I uninstalled it. Often I got the message the black box with the statement Get Flash Player for Power PC.
The iMac GS Model  Power Mac 8.1   OS X 10.4.11 Browsers Safari 3.0.4, Firefox 3.6.15
Prior to the disappearance of that program Adobe Flash Player worked very well since the initial installation and through all the upgrades. Please help me reinstall your program. Thank you.

Hi 1Albert, So glad to hear that's working for you
Yes, some of the older Macs take a little investigation and tweaks like you say, to find the right software to get it working.
Thanks for posting back and marking your thread as answered. Your thread, as others is helpful for all users of those Macs.

  • Screen size and font size unreadable to set the access permissions for Flash Player.

I can increase my screen view size to make everything appear larger but the screen on Adobe website to manage the use of the Flash Player has very tiny writing that DOES NOT increase in size when I increase the size of my screen view.  It is not use user friendly nor compliant with common standards of web pages being accessible for people who have visual disablilities.  The font size looks like 6pt.
What does it take to make this giant company allow the window size of the settings to be enlarged or magnified?

They will stay on the screen.  However, Process Monitor is only intended for advanced users.  It is recommended that users try to navigate to the troublesome registry key using regedit, and see if they can access it or not without an error.  This is far easier than trying to use Process Monitor, which is very complicated.
I used Process Monitor to confirm that it was just that key which was causing the problem, and not others.  Process Monitor is not to be confused with the new Resource Monitor which is accessible via Task Manager in Windows 7 (and possibly Vista).  If you must experiment (and Process Monitor is very useful for diagnosing many deep-level problems if you know what you're looking for) Process Monitor can be downloaded from here:
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896645
It replaces the older Sysinternals "FileMon" and "RegMon".  For those interested in the technical side, I had to setup a number of filters to be able to get the results display as in the screenshot.  First of all to just show Registry events.  Then to just show events from the manual Flash activeX installer executable.  The I added a filter to show only non-successfull results.  And finally, for the purposes of the screenshot, added a filter to just show those with "Access Denied", since other non-critical errors are also picked up due to missing keys because installation has not yet been fully completed I guess.   When experimenting, most of these filters were applied using the "is not" boolean logic, which will make sense if you experiment with the program.
Without adding any filters, it picks up so many events (hundreds per second) that it's otherwise unusable.  e.g. 40,000 events within the first few seconds of opening the program. For this reason, I recommend simply using Regedit to diagnose the problem with the particular Flash registry key.

  • Flash player bar can't scaling in hi-dpi PC.(13.3 inch 2560x1440)?

    I am using a new NEC lavie laptop(13.3 inch) with a 2560 x 1440 display.
Though in general the high-DPI scaling works pretty well, Flash player bar does not scale with the rest of the website.
For example, when I watch a Youtube video, the text, objects, etc. scale appropriately, but the buttons for the flash player are very small.
    I think it's not Adobe's problem,because in IE(10) ,Flash player works well.
Chrome,Opera has the same problem too.

  • Will there ever be an update with Flash Player?

Will there ever be an update with Flash Player?

Very doubtful - Apple don't want it (http://www.apple.com/hotnews/thoughts-on-flash/) and Adobe have never managed to make it for iOS and they've now given up on it.
There are browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter Puffin and Photon which 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store,  and there is the built-in YouTube app for that site.
