Flash Player keeps asking to update - Mac

Okay I've got a windows 7 computer and I've tried running flash player update 11.4.402.287 on both internet explorer 9 and safari 5.1.7 which is the latest version and I'm lucky if the Flash Player works for an hour every day before telling me to update it. I've had this problem since it came out. Every single day without fail it tells me several times that it needs updating yet it's always 11.4.402.287 that it says I am downloading. What can I do??? Nobody has time to waste constantly reinstalling something that is already installed. Also I've tried uninstalling completely and reinstalling but it still does the same thing. Can you help me out please?

I do not have an answer. I have much the same problem. I have the latest update, 11.4.402.287. When I attempt to run anything requiring flash player the message displays that I need to download the latest version. It loads successfully, after much wasted time, to no avail. If you get help let me know please.

  • My Flash Player keeps asking me to install it again?

Every time I open a certain program or game online my computer wants me to download the new version of Flash Player, the issue is that I have downloaded it and done everything the program needs me to do on my MAC. Then when I go to re-open the program/ game it says that I need to download it. I am now at a complete lost of what to do and can not use certain programs because of this issue. What should I do???

This is my 3rd time posting on here. I have not recieved any answers to my problem. Does anybody know why the Adobe Flash Player keeps asking me to install it again and again after I have installed it? It would be nice to get an answer for this.
It is very unlikely that you get an answer, as you do not provide any basic information.

  • Latest Adobe Flash Player keeps asking "Allow" and wont play videos

    Hi,
Since the latest update of Adobe Flash Player 17 i cant get videos who depend on it to play anymore. Im running latest Internet Explorer in Windows 7 and all was fine until the latest update of the flash player a couple of days ago.
The issue is that everytime i go to for example Youtube the video is black with the small cross top left, and at the bottom of the browser i get the Windows banner telling me about plugins, and especially Adobe Flash Player. And i have the two options of allowing or allow for all. However when i click any of them the page just refresh and the banner comes up again. The only way ive been able to watch videos is to uninstall the flash player since at least Youtube works without it. Any other site that depends on Adobe Flash Player wont work however. Just the same issue with the banner asking me to allow the flash plugin which never goes away.
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling several times without luck. When i check the browser plugins i see Shockwave/Flash being enabled.
I saw an earlier post by someone on this forum asking about this and the respons was that it had been answered somewhere else, but without a link. I cant find that post so i would be thankful if someone could direct me to it. I have thought that there was something wrong with the latest flash player (v17) since it worked fine since 1 year back when i installed Windows. It just stopped working just now a couple of days ago, at the exact time the new flash installed.
    Thank you in advance.
    /Alex

If Flash Player works on some sites and not others, then it's an issue with the site not correctly detecting the presence of Flash Player.
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

  • Flash player keeps asking me to reinstall on startup

Every time i restart my laptop, and go to my browser IE9 to watch a video on youtube i've to reinstall my flash player and shockwave... i have windows 7- 64bit

What  is 32-bit, the installed add-ons in Add/Remove Programs, or the Settings Manager in the Control Panel?
The Settings Manager is a 32-bit application; this cannot be changed.
If it's the installed add-ons, download the 64-bit uninstaller & installers from http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550 and reinstall.

You need the admin password you created when you first set up the machine.  Just about every installer running under OS X will require you to authorize the installation by entering an administrator password - even software update requires this.  You really should not forget your admin password, as it is required for many things in OS X since, unlike Windows, you often need to manually type in the admin password to proceed with an install or update (whereas Windows will take admin authority, if you are logged in as an admin, by simply clicking continue or yes).
If you cannot remember your admin password, you can reset it from the recovery CD that came with your mac - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1274

  • How can I install Flash Player 11.7 on my Mac?

I've been trying to install Adobe Flash Player 11.7. on my Mac for months. Finally, today I decided to "take the bull by the horns" and have spent several hours trying to get to the bottom of the problem -- to no avail. I've followed every support directive on Google, on Mac Support, and on Adobe Support and Forums (so difficult to use, by the way). Now my computer has NO Flash Player; I've uninstalled it as directed in one step of the process.
    I'm running a MacBook Pro, OS X, 10.6.8
    My browser is Mozilla Firefox

    Chris,
I've been running the Beta 265 version in FF 13.0.1 in Windows 7 Pro 64-bit for awhile now. (Note: I really had no issues with 262, just testing this one out). The loss of browser focus is still there. I've had a couple crashes:

They've all happened while watching NASCAR RaceBuddy at nascar.com during races. But, that was after using it for more than an hour and I think 1 race it never crashed. I had other tabs going at the same time and I'm sure some of them also had videos or other flash content. Other than those hiccups, no problems with playing videos or any audio issues. Doing any testing here where something has to run for an hour or more and may or may not occur would be a pain to test/verify if any settings actually fixed anything. I wonder if I should even report it but they did happen.
Oh, was testing out myspace as someone reported a problem there: http://www.myspace.com/tomhouse and it doesn't work when trying to play music there but I think that's due to a coding issue on their end not recognizing the version number as valid or something.
