Flash Player Keeps Needing to be uninstalled and reinstalled

Hello,
Starting in late December, I would go to watch a show on various websites and would be told that I needed to download Adobe Flash Player, despite having been able to watch shows on the same website shortly before.  I would look at my installed programs, and flash player would be listed, both Adobe Flash Player 10 and Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX 64 bit.  The only way to make things work seems to be to uninstall and re-install flash player.  However, this has now happened four times and is becoming rather time consuming and frustrating. Today I was watching a series of TV episodes on the same website.  When I started the third episode, the screen told me that I needed to install adobe flash player, despite it working for the previous two episodes and there only being about 10 seconds between ending the second episode and clicking on the third.  I still see Adobe Flash Player installed on my computer. Can anyone help me figure out why this keeps happening?  If it helps, I run Vista.  The problem occurs in all of my web browsers: IE, IE 64bit, and Foxfire.
Thank you!

How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?
When you get to the install part, install the 32-bit Flash Player for I.E. and the 32-bidt Flash Player for other browsers.

  • Lightroom CC won't open. Flash screen flashes, but that's it. Uninstalled and reinstalled (with CC) but got the same result.

I installed Lightroom CC with CC App on Macbook running Yosemite 10.10.3. It says it's installed, but attempts to open it get only a momentary view of the flash screen, then nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled but get the same result.

I can confirm that sign out of Creative Cloud, and sign back in works, as the post above says.
To Adobe: Creative Cloud needs to die horrible death. Please bring back regular licensing of your products. CC has been nothing but nightmare.

  • This is a second try to get help. I need help to uninstall and reinstall Photoshop cc 2014

Bridge is not working well, I need to reinstall Photoshop cc 2014 .  Someone from Communities was suppose to help me.

    Hi John,
I used the chat "Creative chat support"  this afternoon at around 14:40
and the person, Karthik M , gave me a link to Technical Support.  I
guess he could not help me, but he said he understood the issue.   With
the link "Help, Adobe Installation problems",   I will follow the
instructions  to clean ps cc2014 with CCleaner and reinstall the app.
It looks quite complicated  but I will give it a try and hopefully succeed.
You have to understand when reading my previous messages, the issue is
no longer "Retreiving Photoshop CC" but reinstalling Phoshop 2014 to try
    to repair Bridge.
    Thanks for caring,

  • Unable to install flash player!! Have tried uninstalling and all other trouble shooting options listed. The installer starts working, closes safari successfully, then shortly after, it stops installing and just states "installation failed. Click 'finish'

I have Safari 8.0.5 and have a mac running OS X Yosemite 10.10.3
The issues started when entering a site that required flash. I received a message that I had to upgrade flash and when attempting to upgrade the system crashed. I then tried to uninstall and reinstall and now get the below error, which directs me back to the install site which starts the process all over again and I'm not getting anywhere!!! Please help!!!

    Hi karis20774009,
To accurately identify the issue, and help us improve the online installer experience, we would really appreciate it if you could do the following for us:
Perform a speed test on your internet connection.  There are a myriad of sites that do this, for example, www.speedtest.net,www.speakeasy.net/speedtest, www.dslreports.com/speedtest, and your internet provider may also have a page in their support/help section to do a speedtest.
    Goto Location --> ~/Librarly/Logs/Adobe_ADMLogs
Upload the two log files (Adobe_ADM.log and Adobe_GDE.log) using the instructions posted here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1408375
Reply back to this thread with the results of the download speed test and the URL to the uploaded log files.
In the mean time, the offline installer is posted at Installation problems | Flash Player | Mac page in the 'Still having problems' section should work for you.
    Thank you in advance.

  • My flash player keeps crashing in only firefox and not in Chrome google

I have reset firefox and unistalling and reinstalling and checked the updates but nothing works. I will be using chrome google from now as you don't care so much for the community as you say you do.

A known issue with FlashPlayer on some older Macs may well be to blame. If that is the case you need to downgrade to version 12 until Adobe release a fix.
This Adobe thread explains the situation

Remember to follow the thread for any updates. I have no idea how quickly they will provide a fix to FlashPlayer 13

  • Why dose my computer keep telling me to uninstall and reinstall again

hi my computer keeps telling me to uninstall itunes  and reinstall it again and it dose not work at all from holly

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
If the advice above doesn't resolve things you could try this alternate version:
    iTunes 12.1.0.71 for Windows (64-bit - for older video cards) - itunes64setup.exe (2015-01-28)
which is a 64-bit installer for the 32-bit version of the core application, similar to previous 64-bit releases.
Or roll back to the previous build:
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (32-bit) - iTunesSetup.exe (2014-10-16)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26 for Windows (64-bit) - iTunes64Setup.exe (2014-10-16)

  • I am trying to update and it keeps failing, should I uninstall and reinstall?

It gets to about 50-51% and then fails

Nobody can tell you anything without proper system info or other technical details. You can of course always run the cleaner tool and start over, but without potentially resolving the underlying issue you may just end up repeating the same flawed process over and over again.

  • Flash player keeps crashing on Mac. Help?

Every time I try to watch a video, flash player crashes. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, and when that didn't work I did a full clean install. I also reset my web browser to see if that would help. I use Firefox, but I tried it on Safari and it doesn't work there, either, so it isn't unique to one browser. I'm not sure what else I can do to try to fix it. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Download the following files by right clicking the links and selecting "Save target as" (IE) or "Save Link as"(Firefox).
    Flash Player Uninstaller
    Shockwave Player Uninstaller
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
    Shockwave Player 12 FULL Installer
Save the files to your Downloads folder - DO NOT run anything yet.
    Reboot your system.
BEFORE opening anything, go to the Downloads folder and run the UNINSTALLERS to remove all instances of Flash Player and Shockwave.
Run the Shockwave Installer first, then visit http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFull&P2_Plat form=Win32&P3_Browser_Version=MSIE with Internet Explorer, (there isn't a direct download link - sorry) and install the Shockwave FULL installer for IE.
Next, run the Flash Player ActiveX installer, and then the Flash Player (other browsers) Installer.
Lastly, see:Enabling Flash Player in Internet Explorer  and: ActiveX Filtering in Internet Explorer  to make 100% sure that Flash Player is enabled and NOT being blocked by ActiveX controls.

  • In IE I keep getting "adobe flash player 10 required" even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled

in IE I keep getting "adobe flash player 10 required" even though I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version. Weirdly, the sound still works

Just to update: Before posting, I tried everything I could find on Flash Player Help | Installation problems | Windows and nothing worked. The flash player stopped working in early November. I know it is some setting somewhere that I need to fix, but I just can't find it. I get a message that "adobe flash player 10 required" but, oddly, I still get sound.

  • Why does Adobe Flash Player keep crashing and then apparently uninstalling itself?

why does Adobe Flash Player keep crashing and then apparently uninstalling itself? Is this not clear enough?

From System Preferences > Preference Pane click on FlashPlayer > Storage and see what you have selected for options.

  • HT1751 I need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes (it won't let me update). So, how do I copy or back up my iTunes library of over 1,500 songs? Can I use a Flash Drive to do so?

I need to uninstall and reinstall iTunes (it won't let me update). I have IE 8 on Windows XP, and iTunes 10 something. In my Program files list I see iTunes and iTunes (2) and even iPod and iPod (2) where a tech had to back up and do this for me before. I'm just trying to fix it all. I keep getting the "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below." I can even run a search and find the folder, but it gives me the same error message. I was planning on using the Microsoft Fix-It tool  to help uninstall then Reinstall iTunes. But I need to backup my library. So, how do I copy or back up my iTunes library of over 1,500 songs? Can I copy the folder to desktop or can I use a Flash Drive to backup my music? I don't want to do anything until I know for sure how I can backup my songs, and then reinstall them into iTunes. Thanks for any help.

Ok, thanks that helps. I don't have an external hard drive though. What about backing up through 'the cloud'? I'm just wondering since my husband syncs his iPod to the PC through iTunes and he's worried that he will lose all the songs on his iPod if the library is lost from iTunes and he tries to 'sync' it up again. I'm not exactly sure how to  'copy the entire iTunes folder' either. I kinda suck at this unless I have step by step instructions, which I haven't found yet on iTunes help or other sources.
The only way I know how to back anything up is by going back to a restore point, etc. (as stated before, we don't have an external hard drive.)
    Thanks for the info.
