Flash Player - LIVE Stereo Streaming Upload?

Hi all,
Is Flashplayer 12 (for streaming live uploads) mono only?
I run a music studio and have been instigating live video/audio concert streams from our facility - especially mixing multiple microphone inputs to a stereo output via a studio console back into the computer for audio streaming.
We have been using Concert Window (www.concertwindow.com) for our shows - but I noticed that the Flashplayer 12.0.0.70 that is used in Concert Window to setup video and audio streams IGNORES the right channel of my audio feed.
This is regardless of whether I use my iMac's stereo line in, and Avid MBox2 USB audio interface, or an RME Fireface 800.
If I use Flash Media Live Encoder it streams audio in stereo fine - but not so the in-app setup in Concert Window.
I can select the audio devices connected under the "microphone input"on the Flashplayer window in Concert Window etc, but to no avail can I get it to stream the right channel.
As FMLE works fine, I assume this is an issue with Flash 12 on the Concert Window site - or is this a limitation?
System specs:
iMac running OSX 10.6.8
Firefox 27.0.1, Chrome 33.0.1750.117 or Safari 5.1.10 all running Adobe Flash 12.0.0.70

Hi Mike, thanks for getting back.
The problem is I am inputting a Live audio feed with video. Are you streaming live from camera videos with audio - all real time?
I put up the mics and the band plays. While they are playing it is broadcast with video via Concert Window. There is no rendering as the stream is not recorded - it is a real time transmission that viewers elsewhere can interact with.
It works fine on both channles going into my computer then into Flash Media Live Encoder and broadcast. FMLE seems to be fussy with external USB cameras.
The issue is the way it is broadcast via Flash 12.0.0.70 in Concert Window (see pic above) Only the left channel is accepted.
I tried the stand alone but cannot see how I can test a Live (not a recorded file or rendered file) input with it?

You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:
When you have installed the latest version of Flash, relaunch Safari and test.
If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then in System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser, but check this also:

Adobe Flash Player video not streaming correctly (since 10/14/11)

I'm a full-time, daily user of Flash Player as I got rid of my TV and started depending on websites to watch live TV streaming, full episodes or videos. I've never had any issues with FP working properly until about midnight, FP video streaming is pausing/buffering every 2-3 seconds. I have already spent hours making sure my notebook (which is 3 weeks old) did not have any software updates, pc performance issues, and also ran full scans for any possible viruses through McAfee and Windows Defender which completed sucessfully. Additional maintenance including uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe FP 11, made sure all browser ad-ons were disabled, disabled automatic software to run at start-up, checked for any "failed" updates in history and fixed (1) failed update in Windows, deleted browsing history and cookies, uninstalled any unimportant software such as Bing, checked memory usage, troubleshoot issues in control panel and disabled display hardware acceleration in adoble FP settings per instructions read in online support. I do pay for IT Service through my ISP which was my last attempt to fix this issue, however, I was hoping to get any advise from you first because I did see that there is a note in your website that Adobe is performing maintenance updates at this time, and I'm hoping this might be the reason afterall. I appriciate your rapid responsse to any advise or help before I continue to diagnose any performance isses further with my IT. Thank you so much!!!!

Windows Defender is not an anti-virus program in the traditional sense, it simply sweeps the hard drive for a limited number of known malware and will not interfere with any other installed anti-virus software such as McAfee.
I seriously doubt that the anti-virus software has anything to do with these Flash Player problems at all, but regardless my advice would be to uninstall McAfee and download Microsoft Security Essentials direct from the Microsoft website - this is a full, free, anti-virus suite which also makes Windows Defender obsolete (it will probably remove Windows Defender for you automatically).
There seems to have been a lot of problems for a lot of people with Flash Player 11, if removing McAfee didn't solve your problem then I would advise uninstalling Flash Player 11 (there is a Flash Player uninstaller available on the Adobe website - http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html) and going back to a previous Flash Player version to see if that cures your problem. I am in the process of doing the same thing myself as since updating to 11 my streaming video has been messed up, I can think of no other explanation than shoddy coding / testing in Flash Player 11. Flash player to iPhone streaming

I was able to stream from FlashMediaEncoder to Ipad device (html5 video)
FME--->FMS---->IPAD : ok
Now I try to stream from flash player (flash11 with H264) to ipad but nothing happens.
Is it possible to stream from flashplayer (on PC, flash11) to IPAD ?
FlashPlayer11 (H264)--->FMS----->IPAD ?
Any link / clue for that ?

I have done that already.
I am streaming H264 to FMS through flahs player.
It can be viewed with another flash player.
When I open it with <video> on ipad I can view... some seconds of an older video I was streaming with Flash Media Encoder.
Infact to summerize:
When I stream with FME (H264)->FMS->IPAD: OK
When I stream with FlashPlayer11 (H264)->FMS->IPAD: KO
I have put in the flash player the SAME parameters as in FME:

and NOTHING happen in HTML5 player it keeps on loading video or sometimes display an older video stream I published with FME.

Audio sync issues with adobe flash media live encoder stream

Using Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder to produce a 24/7 streaming network through Brightcove platform. No matter what I do or how I configure audio and video, there is ALWAYS an audio sync problem that developes. HELP??

Adobe Flash Player required for streamed internet radio broadcasts

I am not well-versed in the technical aspects of why Adobe Flash Player is not allowed on the iPad2 (and other Apple devices). But I don't
understand how "damaging" is would be to allow its use to enable an iPad2 user to listen to streamed radio broadcasts which--apparently--require Adobe Flash Player.

A quick search of the forum will give you numerous threads that explain the issue. In fact, just look at a couple in the More Like This box to the right of your post.

Implement Flash Player for HTTP Streaming

Is there any sample code for this? I have a Java background but haven't done much ActionScripting. I want to play back an HTTP Dynamic Stream (f4m) that has been packaged with Flash Access. Also want to set a custom Authorization Token. I'm using CS5 for my development environment. Any help would be much appreciated.

add a custom authentication token to the license request. I understand
that I need to call DRMManager.setAuthenticationToken on
the flash player. I did go through several of the OSMF Sample
tutorials, but is not clear how and where to make this call. Looking for a starting point - is there an OSMF player that I can quickly modify for our POC?

Flash Player Problems while streaming

i had this problem allready last november with the last flash player version
the problem is:
i can´t stream divx movies anymore!
sounds stupid, and u might tell me, go to the divx support forum BUT as i said i had the same problem allready last year. the update from 28. of november caused a freez every time i wanted to start a stream, only the browser is braking down...the system is still running...there was another update i found from the 1. 2. or 3. of december and after that everything worked out fine.
i don´t have problems with youtube or any other flash animations, it s just the streaming problem.
would be glad if anyone could help

Flash player for music streaming

I have a Mac OS X (10.6.8), and really enjoy streaming music via scoundcloud and myspace. This has recently stopped working, and those sites recommended I upgrade flash player, which I've done (to 11.6.602.180) but it didn't help. I deinstalled and reinstalled it, with no benefit. Any advice? We've also recently set up McAfee security stuff, so I'm wondering if that's the problem rather than the Flash player?

Flash player 10r32 not streaming

Hi, we are using flash interactive server 3.5 and have just noticed that when flash player upgrades to 10r32 the streaming fails? Is this a known issue and does anyone know if it is specifically a rtmp prob? Any help would be appreciated.

Issues with Flash Player and online Streaming

Hi all!
I have been having this issue for a while now,
I watch some of my university lectures online!
Howvever to watch these, i have to UNISTALL flash player, or it says the video is not found and wont play,
When i unistall it, it plays fine, it seems to use a JW player in the webbroswer i guess?
Its driving me insanse, because i keep having to install flash player again after to watch Youtube for example!
this doesnt happen with any of my other mates!

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences ▹ Extensions
Turn all extensions OFF and test. If the problem is resolved, turn extensions back ON and then disable them one or a few at a time until you find the culprit.
If you wish, you may be able to salvage the malfunctioning extension by uninstalling and reinstalling it. Its settings will revert to their defaults. If the extension still causes a problem, remove it permanently or refer to its developer for support.

Help: Strobe Player: Live DVR stream resetting to start vs Live point

Update: 11/27 23:00-
The version of the strobe player we are using is the most current version-
I tested my smil file with a stock strobe player tied dirctly to the akamai CDN - the VBR is working correctly but I still have an intermittent issue when loading/refreshing the page. The player will reset to 16 seconds into the stream vs the live (current) point.
We stripped back to the stock strobe player removing any additional code that my have been causing the issue.
The SMIL file playing within a standard OVP player using the DVR and VBR feature works without issue. It will reset to the live point upon launch/refresh with out issues.
We have opened a ticket with Adobe as it now appears the issue is with the strobe player. But if anyone has any insights/experience with this issue.

I am working with the strobe player that accomodates a Live DVR with Variable streams (1000-400kbs) My issue is when the page is refreshed a few times the player will reset to the begining of that days DVR vs the live point. This hit or miss nature is very frustrating.
If I strip out the VBR feature it will function - but this is not an option for deployment.
I have also confirmed my manifest file with Akamai and it checks out along with my smil file-
Testing:
The behavior is across all browsers and OS-
I have tested the feed with and without the VBR and it behaves with the same hit or miss rate.
I have stripped out all extra coding on the site to eliminate possible issues.
I have tried to force the seek point well past any time that could exist in the DVR feed with out sucess.
One other oddity - the DVR feed will always start at 16 seconds in- that may be a unrealted

For example, please write what type of delivery (rtmp or hds), provide replication steps (an example on how to set it up), state whether you're live or in dvr. A code snippet would help, as well.

CCD Security Camera publishing Live FLV stream?

sweet hello to all,
I can publish my 'Live' flv video to my RTMP Server using my
webcam(USB), because flash player easily detects my camera and
publish live stream.
Problem is that, I want to use a Security Camera for this
pupose because I can get Good Picture quality and Lengthy wire of
course.
I want to stream flv video using my CCD Security Camera. But
Flash Player does't stream/show live video when i select this
camera from Flash Player camera names list. This security camera
works fine when i use it with my webcam software or Windows movie
maker.
please tell, Do i need to install some software or the issue
is something else?
Also tell me how can i check that my Security Camera is using
WDM Video capture Driver or Not??

Looking at the SecuritySpy web site, it seems that remote viewing feature uses port 8000.
You will need to configure the router you use in your country home so it forwards port 8000 from the internet to your iBook G4's port 8000.
How you setup port forwarding depends on the make and model of your router in the country home. Some Google searching for "make/model Port Forward" will most likely find instructions for your router.
If you do not have a router, and your iBook G4 is connected directly to your broadband modem AND your broadband modem is not also a router, then skip the Port Forwarding setup, and go to the next step.
To make your life easier, you may want to get a Dynamic DNS name which will make finding your country home's internet connection much easier. You can get a free Dynamic DNS name from No-IP.com and DynDNS.org. You also download a Dynamic DNS updating utility from the service you get the Dynamic DNS name from. This utility will run on your Mac and keep the Dynamic DNS name updated with whatever IP address your ISP assigns to your router.
If you have the firewall enable, you need to allow port 8000 through to the SecuritySpy software. NOTE: If you are behind a router, and this system never leaves the home (that is it does not go to coffee shops or other public WiFi access points), you can turn off the firewall and allow the home router to be your hardware firewall.
Once you have that all setup, you can then access your security camera/SecuritySpy software using something like:

Flash player crash accessing Adobe Media Server website

today on Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 3.5, 3.6 (I tried both)
I am using Windows XP version 2002 service pack2 and Flash Player 9 r 124
I upgraded to Flash Player 10.0.32.18 but still the problem persists.
One more information, I installed Microsoft Silverlight 3 today on my machine before.
I am not sure this might be a cause, so I uninstalled Silverlight, but the 'media server website' still crashes the browser.

An important update.
I logged a bug FP-4185 under flash player.
Here are the concise steps to reproduce the issue.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Access the website http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/
2. When the page is getting loaded and video streaming load animation starts
3. After 2 seconds the Browser crashes.
Few things that I did prior to the error occured.
Updated Mozilla Firefox to 3.6 version.
Installed Microsoft Silverlight 3.0
If firefox could be a reason, then browser crashed in IE6 too.
If installing Silverlight affected the Flash player crash when streaming, I uninstalled Microsoft Silverlight, but the flash player persisted with crashing accessing the website.
I tried installing Microsoft Silverlight on few machines in a Net Cafe and tried to access the website with flash video streaming, the browser did not crash.
So there is no reproducible scenario apart from my own Computer.
The browser crash is reproducible every time on my machine.
