Flash Player Loads Some Content, But Not All

Hi, this problem recently cropped up and I don't really
understand what the underlying problem is. Anyway, the main problem
with the flash player is that it only partially works--some content
loads, while others don't. The only examples I can think of off the
top of my head right now is: www.orisinal.com--the page loads fine,
but when loading a flash game, it simply stalls on the load.
Another one is www.starcraft2.com and www.diablo3.com. For the
former, the areas in which images/screenshots should be placed show
nothing. The main menu interface is a still image of a door.
Nothing is clickable. This is what similarly happens to the latter
site. The odd thing is, other sites using flash such as youtube,
gamespot, and others work fine. These problems occur BOTH in
Firefox and IE.
I've tried numerous things. Uninstalling/reinstalling in and
out of safe mode, using Adobe's uninstaller, deleting leftover
registry keys after uninstallation and then reinstalling, following
the SubInACL procedures listed here on the forums, but all of them
lead to the same result. Any help would be appreciated.

Possibly the cache and/or settings that are stored on your
computer
relating to the particular site. Try deleting and
retrying.

  • Migrate SOME apps but not all?

Is it possible to use migration assist to migrate SOME Apps but not all of them? If so, how?

No. Migration Assistant will transfer the entire folder but you cannot selectively transfer individual applications. However, you can simply copy items from the Applications folder to the other computer via Target Disk Mode without the use of MA. Although this will work just fine it will not automatically include any other associated files needed by the applications transferred such as Applications Support files, preference files, or other installed files. Therefore, it would be better to simply reinstall the individual applications or transfer all of them, then delete what you don't want.

  • Flash Player works for Administrator but not other users

I have Flash Player 10.2.153.1 installed and I am running Windows Vista 32-bit and Windows Internet Explorer 8.  If I am logged in as the Administrator I have no problem watching video previews from the Odeon and other similar websites.  However, if logged on a Standard user account Odeon film previews cannot be seen - all I get is a blank white viewing box with a small square box in the top left corner with the colours red, green and blue in it (it is too vague to make out what the logo is even when zoomed in).  The inability to watch video clips for Standard users seems to be random as some sites work while others do not?  Can anyone help solve this problem?  Why do I have this problems for the standard user accounts on some websites but not at all for the Administrator account on any website ???

Would very much appreciate a solution.

  • ADOBE FLASH PLAYER PLAY ON IE BUT NOT IN FIREFOX

I work for years with Firefox, now I have format my hard drive and install Adobe flash player and Firefox again, but Flash player do not work in Firefox, it work only in Inter Explorer, did try all forums and try all the guy`s say there , when I install flash it go to 50% and then stop, there is not a plug-in for Firefox, please help me to solve this problem, I did download the latest flash player from Adobe, please give me the address where i can download the plugin.

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash:
*an '''ActiveX version''' for IE only
*a '''Plugin version''' for most other browsers including Firefox
*On a Windows system, you should always update both individually.
'''''You do not appear to have the Plugin version for Firefox installed. ''''' If you did, in Add-ons > Plugins you would see "Shockwave Flash ''(version)''". If "Shockwave Flash" is there and is disabled, click the "Enable" button.
Check your Plugins often --> http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
*only the most popular/used Plugins are known by this page
*page will detect only installed, '''''enabled''''' Plugins
    '''<u>Install or update Adobe Flash</u>'''<br />
#'''<u>Using Firefox</u>''', go to the following link and SAVE the download to your desktop so you can find it later. Un-check any items on that page that you do not want to download (i.e., "McAfee Security Scan Plus":
#When the download is finished, close Firefox (File > Exit '''''OR''''' Firefox button > Exit)
#Click or double-click on the file you just saved to your desktop
#*In the installation window that appears, click the box to the left of "I have read and...." to place a check mark in the box
#*The "Install" button in the lower right corner will now be highlighted, click it.
    #*The installation is quick.
#Start Firefox and test your installation here: https://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
#To update/install the ActiveX version for IE '''''only''''', repeat the process, '''<u>but use IE to go to the above website</u>'''.

  • Flash Player Downloads to Firefox but not Safari--Why???

For some unknown reason my Adobe Flash Player stopped working.  I followed all the instructions and managed to get the 10.3 Flash Player downloaded so that it would work with my Firefox browser. But when I tried to  use my Safari browser to access YouTube a message said that I'd have to install Adobe Flash Player..  So I followed the instructions again, and a message said that "installation ws successful" yet when I tried to see videos on YouTube with Safari it claimed that I had not installed the Flash Player.  I am using OS X5.8. The only
change I made in my system was switching from Java 5.0 to Java 6.0.  Would that have any impact on the Flash Player installation?  Thank you very much for your help.

  • Flash player works on youtube but not yahoo homepage

Flash player works on youtube but when trying to watch video on yahoo homepage says need to download adobe flash player I have already uninstalled several times but still won't work please help

YouTube uses javascript to determine if Flash Player is installed and switches to HTML5 (MP4), which requires no plugin, if Flash Player isn't detected. Yahoo doesn't do that yet. Here's why this is important, especially if you're using IE11.
The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. This is a known problem with Internet Explorer 11, which Microsoft has been aware of since October 18 when they released their latest "untested" browser. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • How do I delete some history but not all without it crashing?

I remember that Firefox used to allow deleting of only some history but not the most recent. For example, I was able to go into Options and under the Privacy tab, I could choose for Firefox to remember the last 7 days, 30 days, etc. Now, it seems that I can only choose "Remember history", "Do not remember history", and the custom option does not allow me to choose how long I want Firefox to remember the history while deleting everything else.
When I press Ctrl-H to open up the history on the side, it shows all the history from a very long time. I remember I used to be able to right-click on a folder (say several months back) and delete it all. Now if I try to do the same thing, it takes a long time and essentially crashed.
I do not know why these features were removed but Firefox is very difficult to use as a result of that now. Could you please help me out with this?
    Thanks.

If you have problem with deleting the history in the Library then you can delete the places.sqlite file in the Firefox profile folder.<br />
Note that this will remove all history (you can copy/paste or drag history items to a bookmarks folder).
Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

Current Firefox versions do not have a time limit for the history.
Firefox determines automatically how many pages can be kept without affecting the performance.
You can see the current value via the read-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages on the about:config page.

  • Transferring some apps, but not all  to new iPad

Hello, I am just about to take possession of a new iPad air. I want to transfer some apps to this iPad but not all of them, is this possible, and how do I do this please. I want my grandchildren to be able use the old iPad to play their games I have already downloaded and/or paid for but do not want them on my new iPad? Thank you.

    Hi ballingeruk,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
If you purchase a new iPad Air, you can choose which apps you want to put on the new device by downloading them from the App Store to the iPad Air.
Use these instructions to download apps you've previously purchased on your iPad Air:
    iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    Apps
    Tap App Store.
Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
    Tap Updates.
Tap Purchased on the resulting screen.
Locate the app in your Purchased tab.
    Tap the download icon.
The app will begin downloading and you'll be taken back to your home screen.
You can find the full article with detailed instructions for downloading purchases, along with screenshots, at this link:

  • Flash works in some places, but not others....

It seems my problem has changed from what I origonally thought it was. I thought my flash player didn't work at all. Mainly because I typically use it for one thing, and that one thing wasn't working (photobucket). After trying to uninstall flash, reinstall it and getting the "getPlus+(R) installation corrupt error", I did some more reading and research.
I followed this link - www.adobe.com/software/flash/about - and it says I have ver. 10,0,32,18 installed. So that is good, it's installed but it still doesn't work everywhere.
I've tried youtube and it works just fine.
The problems I am mainly having is with Photobucket. When I go to my own Photobucket acct. and play a video from my acct. it works but it is painfully slow to load. I might wait up to 2-3 minutes for one of my own videos to load so that I can watch it. This never took more than 10-20 seconds to load before.
Now when I follow a link posted on a forum that is a video link from another persons Photobucket acct. is where the real problem is. It won't play at all. The player loads, but the screen freezes with the first image of the video. The taskbar shows it is still loading, but it never loads. After a few minutes the taskbar shows 'done', but nothing has changed. The video is still frozen at the beginning and it shows me a pause button in the bottom left, like it is playing....but of course it is not.
Also, more often than not, while the video is trying to load the web browser will be "not responding", the computer freezes, and I have to end all tasks and restart the browser. This is really driving me crazy....
I am running Vista Home Premium 64-bit SP1. I used to use IE7. I have now switched to Firefox 3.5, and there is no difference between the two web browsers as far as this problem is concerned.
TIA for any help with this.
    Chris

Well, I think there are some big clues here that tell you where you should be pointing..  I haven't read any of your other posts though, so I may be missing something...
" used to use IE7. I have now switched to Firefox 3.5, and there is no difference between the two web browsers as far as this problem is concerned."
"I've tried youtube and it works just fine."
"When I go to my own Photobucket acct. and play a video from my acct. it works but it is painfully slow to load"
Here's what that says to me... you do not have a problem. Flash Player is installed and running.  It's Photobucket that has the problem, and that problem lies in their code and/or their network.  In this scenario there is virtually nothing we can do for your from the Adobe side of the equation. The fact that both the Flash Player activeX control in IE AND the Flash Player plugin behave the same way indicates to me that this is something Photobucket needs to look into.
    So, what can you do?
    1. Gather a bit more info.  Get a list of similar sites that work fine (Flicker, for example, would be good becuase it's similar)
    2. Uninstall Flash Player 10 and get an old Flash Player 9 install from the Archived Players technote:
"Archived Flash Players available for testing purposes"   http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html
(This assumes that Photobucket doesn't require Flash Player 10.  If they do this step won't work.  But if they do not require Flash Player 10, then testing with Flash Player 9 can help tell them if the problem was introduced by changes made to Flash Player 10 that they need to code for specifically)
    3. Open a support case with Photobucket
Now, is it entirely impossible that there could be some Flash Player issue here? No, it's not.  But it's the kind of issue that Photobucket would have to find, then they work with us directly to address it.  Nearly impossible to do from the end user point of view because you have no insight into what their code is doing.

  • Flash Player 10.1 installed, but not working in any browser, or showing up on C:

I recently updated my flash player, however since then, websites requiring flash do not seem to fully load. However, it should also be noted that there is no notification indicating I need to install the software. Sites such as youtube will load, but fail to display the video I want to view, and showing only a black box. Also, sites I need for my HSC preparation are not working, such as the Board of Studies Online Multiple Choice, and Maths Online. The web page will load, indicating "done" in the bottom left corner of the screen, but the screen will be white.
    I have tried the following:
    un-installing, and re-installing (numerous times)
Restarting the system after both un-installing and re-installing
Checking all mentioned websites on three browsers --> Firefox 3.5.11, IE 8, Google Chrome. All presented the same outcome: blank pages etc.
Ensuring that flash was enabled in all above browsers
My operating system is 32 bit; Vista (Have checked this file--  C:/Windows/System32/Adobe -- and found that the flash player files are absent despite being 'told' it has successfully installed. After which the 'movie'/'f' symbol does not show up in the installation check online)
I assume all the above browsers are 32bit as well, however I'm not sure how to check this.
Please help... I have been searching forums for hours and trying various methods to attempt to fix the problem myself, but have been unsuccessful. It has become increasingly frustrating with the approaching HSC only a couple of weeks away !

There is no flashinstall.log file in that folder. There is a FlashInstall file that opens in Notepad when I click on it.  The contents of that file are below.  Does this give you any clue as to what is wrong?  It is WAY beyond my techincal competence.

Not works means you get a blank screen as the webpage; works is when you have to allow Flash Player to run "outside of protected" mode several times to get the website to come up.
Try www.wzeconsulting.com on the three browsers to see what I mean.  wzeconsulting.com is not some spam site, it is the site for a business in China that I work with.
    Thanks,

  • Flash works on some websites but not others

I have been struggling with some Flash player issues for a
while. Most of these were, I believe, due to a spyware infection
that I have since resolved. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall
the player plugin several times. I have gotten to the point where
the Flash player plugin works for nearly every website I can find,
in Firefox and in IE7. The only thing that does not work is when I
go to ESPN.com while using my university wireless network
connection -- certain Flash-related aspects of this page show error
messages or do not show at all. After having visited this site,
even when I use my laptop computer on a different wireless network
connection, this site is always corrupted in this fashion. When I
uninstall the Flash player plugin and reinstall it, these aspects
of ESPN's website function properly, but only when I am not using
    my university connection.
All other websites seem to be fine, but ESPN is a site I
visit a lot and I'm at a loss as to what to do. I have never had a
problem installing the player, and I use WIndows XP Home so I have
not used the SubinACL program to fix my Windows system registry.
I've read and tried most of the other solutions in this forum and
they do not seem to solve my specific problem. Any help anyone
    could give would be appreciated.

It seems to be accessible, yes. It's listed as
    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ShockwaveFlash.ShockwaveFlash.9\CLSID. I can give
you the data string if you like. I've really never edited my system
registry so I'm not sure what I'm doing.

  • Flash Player Correct and Installed but not working

    Hi,
I've got the 64bit Windows 8.1 and the version 15 of the flash player.  I've followed all the steps and can not access anything that requires a flash player.  I've checked I've got the latest update, I've enabled the shockwave thing and deactivated activeX, I can see the clouds moving in the animation but I can not access any apps like Candy Crush or Reading Eggs.
Any ideas what I can do please?  It was working yesterday lunchtime but seemed to stop sometime during the afternoon.  Thought following all the steps again and restarting would correct it but nothing.
    Thanks

Still having issues two days later!!!!
Possible to have some advice please.
This is what I get when I try to check for updates using your links.

  • ASAP!!  Flash Player Works on Computer But Not Live.  (Could Be Easy)

I need to present this site in a couple of hours and ran into this problem.
I just added a Flash button that works perfectly on every single page except my gallery.php.  All the other pages are .html.  On my computer I can see the button perfectly, but when I uploaded and viewed the file it tells me to update my player.  Why would it not work live and does it have anything to do with it being a .php file?  Here's a link that works, The "Primerica" button on the top right is the focal point.
    Works:
    http://shepardsuperteam.com/chris/inner_circle.html
    Doesn't Work
    http://shepardsuperteam.com/chris/gallery.php
It looks more presentable in IE7 than FF but I need to remedy this ASAP!!!

With an intermittent problem, whether a solution really works
needs to be tested extensively. Someone else reported being able to
play Flash in FF with Flash 9 installed, IF they also had Flash 8
installed. But in that case and in yours, was there sufficient
testing before the solution was reported? Check out this page with
FF (it's a page that tends to generate the problem with a high
    frequency, but not always):
    http://www.yoism.org/?q=node/52#jill
If repeated testing on that page doesn't crash your ability
to play Flash, then your solution may really work. What version of
Flash does Adobe say you have when you visit this page?:
    http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_15507&sliceId=1
The other problem with IE is probably unrelated to this. Did
you reinstall Flash for IE? For IE, you have to run the exe program
    with winax.exe in the name.

  • Flash Player works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9

I've installed Flash Player 10.3 and it works in Safari but not Internet Explorer 9. When I look in Manage Add-Ins I see Flash Shockwave but not Flash Player. My operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate (32bit). Safari is 5.0.5 and IE 9 is 9.0.8112.16421. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing Flash Player and uninstalling Norton 360. Nothing has worked so far. Can you help?

Thank you for your reply. Shockwave is loaded and enabled.
The files in flash directory are: a folder called FlashPlayerTrust: file, flash10q.ocx: file, FlashInstall.log; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.dll; file, FlashUtil10q_ActiveX.exe, file, install.log.
    There is no file: NPSWF32.dll.
When I test the browsers I get no spinning logo in either Safari or IE9. Safari says: missing plug-in, where I think the logo should be. IE-9 says nothing at the same location.
    Thanks.
