  • Adobe flash player on mobile devices

im not sure my doubt is out of league, but i hope to find an answer. that'swhy im posting such a question here.
i am developing a website in which an user uploads a swf file and download it as apk(android format). i am using adobe flash player to display the swf on webview of devices. it seems to be working on samsung s4 devices in india but it is not working on samsung s4(with same kernel version and os verion. and it is a locked device) in US. always the flashplayer opens and when the user tries to interact with the swf game, it crashes. so can anyone help me out to find the issue?

    hey maria,
appreciate your explanation. you were right, the flashplayer is inbuilt in that apk along with the swf file. so when ever some one runs the apk, it installs both apk and adobe flash player on mobile device just like any app. it seems to be working in almost all devices except s3 ans s4 in US. using my web application any user can convert a swf to apk and this apk runs on a android device and works fine. but problem comes with s3 and s4 only(as i mentioned the devices from US only. s3 and s4 in India are working fine). that is where i stuck.

  • Using Flash Player with mobile devices

How can I use Adobe Flash Player on my iPad? Is it not usable on mobile devices? I get messages saying FP is not supported by my device. I keep the OS updated, etc. Any advice/help?

I have the same problem with Flash Player 7 & Flash Lite.
Neither of them work on my iPAQ hx2495 with Windows Mobile 5. And
now that Flash 6 no longer works, we are stuck without Flash Player
until a fix is found. There's a lot of web content that cannot be
viewed until then. Wow. Wonder how long it will be before a remedy
    is released.

  • How long will an iPad 4 play music whem powered by 2600mAh Flash Chargers for Mobile Devices

how many hours will an iPad 4 play audio when it is powered by a
2600mAh Flash Chargers for Mobile Devices ?

Again, my issue is not with Flash Builder itself. In fact I think Adobe is doing a tremendous job regarding many things at this juncture. They've been under a considerable amount of pressure, especially since Apple tried to declare Flash an obsolete technology. I'm proud of Adobe and Flash - which I thoroughly enjoy working with. I also enjoy working with Flash Builder.
My issue is in regards to support. It's that simple. I understand that many features take time to prepare prior to their public release. This is obvious. There are a lot of tests to be made prior to even a first release. My issue is a specific one. It is in regards to Flash Builder and their attitude towards this piece of software as it relates to this "mobile storm" that has approached. Everything is about MOBILE, MOBILE, MOBILE. Well, ok.. it's about mobile. Adobe really only has two (count that, 2!) pieces of software that creates Flash content. (and NO, that isn't a lot). There's the Flash IDE and Flash Builder, which is SUPPOSED TO BE FOR DEVELOPERS. One would think that more time would have been spent of getting ELEGANT mobile publishing solutions into Flash Builder at this point. I'm tired of reading one massive pdf after another just to understand what the hell I'm supposed to be doing. AND.. on top of this.. they get simple, fluid, elegant solutions into the FLASH IDE in the meantime. iPhone, Android publishing with the click of a button in the Flash IDE? DONE! Months ago.. Flash Builder 4 with the same capabilities? Nothing. Command lines... Terminal windows.. give me a break.

  • Dropping development for Flash Player on mobiles entirely?

"Even though Adobe just mentioned it was planning to invest further in HTML5 after restructuring, a rumor from ZDNet suggests the changes could go even further by dropping development for Flash Player on mobiles entirely. According to an email reportedly received by the company's partners, its future work on Flash for cellphones and tablets will focus on enabling developers to "package apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores." After years of battling with Apple and Steve Jobs over the place of Flash on mobiles it appears the company is ready to lay down its sword, with existing platforms like Android receiving only security updates going forward. If the rumors are true, we'll probably hear an official announcement later today, along with a few huge belly laughs from the folks in Cupertino."

Flash to Focus on PC Browsing and Mobile Apps; Adobe to More Aggressively Contribute to HTML5
Posted by Danny Winokur, Vice President & General Manager, Interactive Development at Adobe in Business Professionals, Creative Professionals, Developers, Video
Adobe is all about enabling designers and developers to create the most expressive content possible, regardless of platform or technology. For more than a decade, Flash has enabled the richest content to be created and deployed on the web by reaching beyond what browsers could do. It has repeatedly served as a blueprint for standardizing new technologies in HTML.  Over the past two years, we’ve delivered Flash Player for mobile browsers and brought the full expressiveness of the web to many mobile devices.
However, HTML5 is now universally supported on major mobile devices, in some cases exclusively.  This makes HTML5 the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms. We are excited about this, and will continue our work with key players in the HTML community, including Google, Apple, Microsoft and RIM, to drive HTML5 innovation they can use to advance their mobile browsers.
Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores.  We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations (chipset, browser, OS version, etc.) following the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook.  We will of course continue to provide critical bug fixes and security updates for existing device configurations.  We will also allow our source code licensees to continue working on and release their own implementations.
These changes will allow us to increase investment in HTML5 and innovate with Flash where it can have most impact for the industry, including advanced gaming and premium video.  Flash Player 11 for PC browsers just introduced dozens of new features, including hardware accelerated 3D graphics for console-quality gaming and premium HD video with content protection.  Flash developers can take advantage of these features, and all that our Flash tooling has to offer, to reach more than a billion PCs through their browsers and to package native apps with AIR that run on hundreds of millions of mobile devices through all the popular app stores, including the iTunes App Store, Android Market, Amazon Appstore for Android and BlackBerry App World.
We are already working on Flash Player 12 and a new round of exciting features which we expect to again advance what is possible for delivering high definition entertainment experiences.  We will continue to leverage our experience with Flash to accelerate our work with the W3C and WebKit to bring similar capabilities to HTML5 as quickly as possible, just as we have done with CSS Shaders.  And, we will design new features in Flash for a smooth transition to HTML5 as the standards evolve so developers can confidently invest knowing their skills will continue to be leveraged.
We are super excited about the next generations of HTML5 and Flash.  Together they offer developers and content publishers great options for delivering compelling web and application experiences across PCs and devices.  There is already amazing work being done that is pushing the newest boundaries, and we can’t wait to see what is still yet to come!

I can't watch video's in the mobile web without a currect flash player for mobile phone's. what do I need to do(what is the currect virsion)?

If you find anything out please share.  I have flash projects (SWF) files created in Captivate 5 that play fine in Flash and Dreamweaver, but freeze up on the web in safari, firefox, opera and chrome.  Even files that used to play just fine.  This upgrade has been a nightmare - I have spent hours troubleshooting to no avail.  It does not seem to be a problem for windows users - only macs.

  • Allow spotify to sync on a mobile device when it is idle

Spotify stops syncing to my mobile device when the app is "idle".  There are a few suggestions on the forums about how to get round this, but they are cludgy workarounds. (play a song on repeat on the device or disable your lockscreen).  Neither of these fit with how I use Spotify and quite frankly this behaviour is ridiculous.
I am making playlists on my computer and I just want it to sync to my iPod touch / iPhone so that when I am away from my computer it is up to date.  I don't want to have to unlock it every few tracks or it takes all day getting a long playlist on there.
If I play a track on repeat on the device, then that stops me from doing anything in the app on my computer.
Surely the best time for Spotify to be syncing is when it is idle.  That seems like the ideal time for me.
I want it to carry on syncing regardless of whether the screen is locked or whether I am playing a song at the time.  In fact when I am playing another song that it also needs to sync is probably not the best time anyway!
The only reason I can see for this behaviour is to do with battery life or something like that, but surely this can either be managed in the settings or when you sync a playlist it could give you a warning or something like that.
    Please sort this out.
    Jon

I'm sure that there are ways round this even if it is iOS's fault.  Essentially when I am doing a synchronisation, the app IS doing something that I want it to be doing - it is NOT idle.  I find it hard to believe that iOS just won't let it do the job that I have specifically asked it to do (download an offline copy of my music).

    Hi Chimbo,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
It sounds like you want to change the label associated with a contact's phone number. See the iPhone User Guide for the steps:
    http://support.apple.com/manuals/#iphone
    Pg. 101 says:
Edit a contact: Choose a contact, then tap Edit. You can:
