Last flash player from Adobe is broken
Hello
Last flash player from Adobe seems to be broken when using with Chatroulette:
on Macbook Air camera stopped working
on iMac 27" works, but Safari takes 100% cpu (when Flash Player is running with Chatroulette)
Other users experience the same
My configuration
Mac OS 10.6.4
Flash Player: 10.1.102.64, 10,1,103,19
Safari, Chrome
I tried re-installing Flash Player, creating new account, changing language, changing browsers, running Disc Utility = nothing helped
I tried downloading Chrome because I heard there is different version of Flash Player (10,1,103,19)
Result is same.
Hardware is brand new, operating system is brand new. Everything worked until last flash update.
Please assist! Some of our users experience the same problems
As a temporary solution I have installed Adobe Flash Player 10.2 but it is unstable and our users cannot do that. However it works
Thanks much
AndreyThis is STILL an issue. There is something badly broken in the Mac version of Flash 10. I have a brand new macbook pro, and had the original install of flash 9. My cameras worked fine. When I upgraded to 10 -- and yes, I *did* uninstall the previous version -- I lost the ability to config my camera, since it stopped appearing in the control panel dialog.
I uninstalled Flash 10, saying many not-so-nice things about Adobe and their exceptionally poor QA in the process, and re-installed Flash 9. Sure enough, my cam worked like a charm.
Hey Adobe guys: If you are reading these forums, PLEASE try to fix this!!!! Downgrading is only a temporary fix, as more and more sites are specifically requiring for Flash 10.
GET YOUR QA TEAM TO TEST THIS!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!! -
Can Flash Player files contain link to internet URL? please explain
I hope to hear.
Yes, Flash Player files are otherwise known as swf files. Swf files can have actionscript code added to them to link to urls. IN AS2, the command to link to another web page is getURL().

Flash Player / Your installer is broken and has been for some time
Regarding the Flash Player Installer on Mac OSx: I've uninstalled the old version, and verified that it is uninstalled. I've updated all software on my computer and then installed the latest version of Shockwave. I've rebooted and shut down all other programs. Still, the installer is stuck at 25% download. Repeatedly. Based on searches, this has been a problem with your installer for about a year. It's beyond imagination that your dev team hasn't fixed this. A fix should have been out in a day.

Adobe flash player 11 does not work with 64-bit vista - is there a fix? it works with 64-bit windows 7. When I try to watch videos, I get the message 'this video is no longer available' - I cannot find access to previous versions
You already have Shockwave Flash 11.0 r1 installed according to your plugins list and it should work on Windows Vista. What do you see when you try the [http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ Flash Player test link]?
You said, ''I get the message 'this video is no longer available''' when you try to watch videos. Is that the complete message and do you see it for all videos you try to play, for example, at YouTube.com?
You also said that you ''cannot find access to previous versions.'' The [http://forums.adobe.com/community/flashplayer Adobe Flash Player forum] has links to Flash 10 for Windows, here:

How can I install Adobe Flash Player on a ALLWINNER ANDROID 4.4.2 KITKAT TABLET PC ?
When I want to upload photos on social media sites, I get a message saying that I will have to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player, with a link button. When I press the button, a message from Adobe shows up reading: Sorry your device doesn't support Adobe.
Does that mean that I have to buy a new computer everytime Adobe decides to upgrade their products?Hi
I have successfully installed Flash Player on All Winner Android 4.4.2 100.1" Tablet. You have to use the following link to Archive Flash Player Archived Flash Player versions and download Flash Player 11.1 for Android 4.0 (11.1.115.81). It has to be used in conjunction with UC Browser, Dolphin Browser, Boat Browser or any other which supports Flash player & make some changes to settings. It worked for me.

Safari: How view video clips without Adobe Flash Player?
In OS 10.7.2 and with Safari 5.1.2 or Firefox 8.x how does one view video without installing Adobe Flash Player? On such websites as that of the New York Tines, I get a "Your System Status" dialogue box that says: "We're sorry! You need to update your Flash Player." A link appears in the dialogue box to "Get Adobe Flash Player." What options does one have?
Thanks for considering my question.
Respectfully, NormNMacs now do not ship with Adobe Flash installed. Did you buy your Mac with Lion or is your Mac the previous generation? You have to do the installation yourself. Click Get Adobe flash player.

Is there a version of flash player that works on windows mobile 6.5?
Hi,
Forgive me if this question shows my ignorance but is there a version that can be installed that works with wm6.5? When I visit web pages on my device that have embedded flash content I am advised that I need to update my version of flash player but the link takes me to an Adobe page that doesn't seem to have a version that will work for my device.
Thanks in advance,
MikeI've been reading lately about Apple's ongoing battle with Adobe over mobile apps and Flash. What I've gotten from all of it is that Apple wants to develop a mobile format replacement to Flash, and Adobe wants to block it. Apple's contention is that Flash is too bulky and consumptive for mobile apps and content. Apple has barred any mobile apps for iPhone and iPad from containing any Flash code, and Adobe says that has hurt their development of SDKs for people who want to make iPhone apps. It's turned into a regular peeing contest.
I would have to assume that Apple iPhone, DROID, and Windows Mobile all have the same issue with Flash content and software, since they all have to fall within the standards for mobile communications in order to be "universally accessible" by all the companies that make PDAs, tablets, and phones.
I've yet to see a Flash Player download for Windows Mobile, and given the current environment, with HTML 5 coming soon, it's not likely I will. -
Flash player not working on ADOBE SITE (tutorials) but does everywhere else!

Flash Player 9 not working on XP Home ed
We have two accounts on our Windows XP Home SP2 machine. Both
have
computer administrator rights. The first account created can
us
e the flash player with no problem. The second account
cannot. When you
go to a website, you are prompted to install the player.
It installs successfully. When you return to the site that
prompted the install, it
prompts again. I have restarted, uninstalled,
reinstalled, removed the safe entries from the registry.
Nothing is working.
We are running Version: 9,0,45,0.#
When I test the flash player it says it is installed.
I have compared the securities settings on the first account
to the one on the
second, they are the same.
I have upgraded from IE 6 to IE7. Didn't fix it, reinstalled
after the upgrade,
still doesn't work properly.
I verified that the security settings for IE and they were as
recommended by
your website.
I am at a loss, any suggestions/fixes would be
appreciatedThis is what MSN.com Video support has been suggesting. Maybe
it will help some, but it didn't help me. Nor have any of the
suggestions here solved the problem. Just trying to contribute. I
am hoping that when Adobe figures it out they will post the
solution for all to share.
Darren, I sent you an e-mail. Your e-mail doesn't accept
attachments . I've got lots of good screen shots for you if your're
game!
I ran SubInACL and got the following error message:
'subinacl' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program, or batch file.
Anyway, the following thread is from the folks at MSN. I'm
hoping that Darren and his cadre at Adobe can respond. Many of us
are still looking for the correct fix.
FYI Darren, if you are up to it, send me a PM. I've tried to
send you my screen shots but your e-mail won't accept them.

Hi Raymond,
Thanks for the quick reply. I've been browsing and posting
over there at the adobe support site for about a week now. They
seem to think it's a Microsoft problem with corrupted registry
permissions. They pointed me to a SubInACL fix. I tried and that
didn't work.
If you can think of anything else that might work, please
advise.
I will continue to pursue the issue with Adobe.
Thanks,

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to reply to this thread or else
go to MSN support and do another ticket.
I've followed the instructions provided in the thread below.
The problem persists. I have 3 user accounts set up on my WIN
Xp Pro SP2 OS running IE 7 and Flash 9,0,45,0 . Only one user can
see video content on MSN.com. The other 2 users are prompted to
download Flash. I've already downloaded Flash on this PC. And this
is confirmed by the fact that one of my user accounts can see all
of the video content on MSN.com without difficulty. All of my user
accounts have Admin access rights.
What do I try next?
Regards,

How do I update Adobe Flash Player without being forced to download Google Toolbar and Google Chrome?
Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by clicking one of the following links.

NOTHING in those but the installer for Flash Player.
Those links remains the same as the version is updated - bookmark them for future reference. -
