Flash Player Post Back data to server

Hello,
I have a flash based application that I am having a data
transfer issue with.
1 particular user can access the flash application which is
populated from our server via XML. However when he tries to send
data back to the server nothing is received.
He has a Mac Book Pro laptop and when he is at home he has no
issues using the application to receive data and sending it
back....but when he is in his office with the same Mac Book he can
only receive and not send back.
I am guessing it is some sort of Firewall issue. Can anyone
tell me what I can discuss with their IT department on what they
need to open up in order for the Flash Player to send data back
(although he is receiving data fine) to our server???
Is this more of a firewall/network issue or a Flash Player
setting? I am not too familiar with the various firewall settings
and how it relates to flash permissions etc.

Flash player crash accessing Adobe Media Server website

Hi,
Accessing Adobe Flash Media server family website http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/
today on Internet Explorer 6, Mozilla Firefox 3.5, 3.6 (I tried both)
I am using Windows XP version 2002 service pack2 and Flash Player 9 r 124
I upgraded to Flash Player 10.0.32.18 but still the problem persists.
One more information, I installed Microsoft Silverlight 3 today on my machine before.
I am not sure this might be a cause, so I uninstalled Silverlight, but the 'media server website' still crashes the browser.

An important update.
I logged a bug FP-4185 under flash player.
Here are the concise steps to reproduce the issue.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Access the website http://www.adobe.com/products/flashmediaserver/
2. When the page is getting loaded and video streaming load animation starts
3. After 2 seconds the Browser crashes.
Few things that I did prior to the error occured.
Updated Mozilla Firefox to 3.6 version.
Installed Microsoft Silverlight 3.0
If firefox could be a reason, then browser crashed in IE6 too.
If installing Silverlight affected the Flash player crash when streaming, I uninstalled Microsoft Silverlight, but the flash player persisted with crashing accessing the website.
I tried installing Microsoft Silverlight on few machines in a Net Cafe and tried to access the website with flash video streaming, the browser did not crash.
So there is no reproducible scenario apart from my own Computer.
The browser crash is reproducible every time on my machine.

- Flash Player Version / Settings
- DirectX / OpenGL / ...
- Display / Resolution / FPS / CPU&GPU load
It should/could be added as an opt-in UI into the installers or on first use.
Reason:
To get better performance feedback from the "real world" to make it smoother on low end devices.

to create a movieclip button:
create a movieclip (insert/new symbol/movieclip) and attach a stop() to its first frame and label it "up". create whatever graphics you want for the button movieclip's up-state. create an "over" frame and, if needed, a "down" frame.
when you place this movieclip button on-stage give it an instance name (say, printer1) and use:

Vimeo audio stutters in Safari 7 (Mavericks), Flash Player up to date, plug-ins are switched ON, extensions switched OFF.

Noticing this problem recently, guessing it has been occurring since the update to Mavericks.
Video from Vimeo is streaming fine but the audio stutters from the beginning and never improves.
As the title suggests, I have ensured that my Flash Player is up to date, I have switched off the new Safari feature which will turn off plug-ins to save power (so the plug-ins are allowed to run immediately on my system) and I have switched off all Safari extensions.
I have found a number of threads in the communities but no solutions so far.
No problems with YouTube audio.
And no problems with Firefox or Chrome - audio is flawless. It is a Safari-issue.
Anybody got any ideas?

     Press the "Delete All" button
     Install Adobe Flash Player.

    Follow the prompts.
    Quit Safari.
    Restart computer. Relaunch Safari.
2. Allow Plug-ins
    Safari > Preferences > Security
    Internet Plug-ins > "Allow plug-ins"
    Enable it.

Flash Player hangs users entire Terminal server session

Hi all, Firstly many thanks for reading this.
We're running Windows Terminal Server 2008 r2 using Flash Player 11.1.102.62
Whenever one of our users hits a flash enabled site they experience heavy session lags and even sometimes cause the session to hang until the server times out the session via group policy. This is regardless of the size of the Flash content being played (full screen content or a little ad in the corner).
To give an Idea of the layout, the Terminal Server is situated locally to the clients (not at a remote location) which eliminates it being a broadband issue for the clients. The Terminal server is a fresh install with a single install of flash( Flash 11.1.102.62 64-bit)
I've read through the administration guide and created a mms.cfg file. Presently it has the following entries:
AutoUpdateDisable = 1
FullScreenDisable = 1
OverrideGPUValidation = 0 (this was previously set to 1 to see if it would increase performance but it didnt.)
I dont see any options in the guide to tweak performance as such - just security related. Are there any other references to values that can be changed to increase performance?
Any thoughts/insights would be greatly appreciated as this is causing a real headache.

Have you tried uninstalling the 64-bit Flash Player and installing the 32-bit Flash Player? Where can I find direct downloads of Flash Player 11 for Windows or Macintosh?

Why is Flash Player play back poor now?

Flash Player has been poor for me lately under Snow Leopard. Video intermittantly skips on all playbacks (audio is fine), including on YouTube. All system updates applied. I even used Combo udpaters when available. FlashPlayer is updated. Emptied caches etc using AppleJack. Even used DiskWarrior. Everything is working fine but FlashPlayer. Same problem under all browsers. (iMac Intel, 2 GB RAM, 2.0 GHZ)
Interestingly, on the same machine using web browser in WindowsXP (under Parallels) that Flash is working fine.

As stated in my post, Flash Player is working fine in my WindowsXP emulation of Parallels 7 on the same machine with only part of my iMac's RAM assigned to it. What is wrong with this picture?
What's "wrong" IMO is that windows allocates resources and/or prioritizes processes differently than OSX. Yes, OSX may be underlying Parallels but I don't know how Parallels works with respect to accessing OSX resources and prioritizing it's processes within OSX.

Adobe flash player "out of date"?

When I was on Facebook, a pop-up said my Adobe flash player was out of date. I did not download because I just wasn't sure if it was completely safe or not. How can I tell?

A genuine alert that Flash is outdated and blocked is shown on this page. Follow the instructions on the page in that case. Otherwise, the alert is fake and someone is trying to scam you into installing malware. Facebook is an open sewer overflowing with scams and malware. If you see fake update alerts on more than one website, ask for instructions.

Why the hell can't the Flash player skip back a video like three seconds without re-loading the video from the server and make you fuɔʞing wait 10 seconds?

Installing Flash Player 12 on Windows Server 2008 R2 X64 with IE 8

I have an app that runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 X64 that requires Flash Player 12. When I try to install Flash Player 12 it says that Windows Server R2 X64 is not supported by way of eliminating it from the list of supported operating systems. When I do a search I can find many people who indicate they have it running or explain "hacks" to get it running. Since the app requires it there is an implimcation that it should be running on this OS. What is the offical word on this? This is a production server and I really don't want an "unsupported hack" running in this environment. Is there a supported means of having Flash Player 12 run on Windows Server 2008 R2 X64 with IE8 even if it is within the 32 bit version of the browser?

Server 2008 (x86) is supported, and I had an x64 machine set up last month that had FP12 installed and running in IE and Firefox. 64 bit IE wouldn't run it for some reason, but the 32 bit did. It installed in C/Windows/System32/Macromed/Flash and C/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash, but I was unable to get the ActiveX plug-in to enable outside of 32 bit IE.
I also set up a Server 2012 machine that DID support the x64 ActiveX, but that's probably not an option for you.
Like you, I'd be leery of "hacks" to get it to run as an x64 pkug-in, as it may have unintended and undesired consequences in other areas.
