Flash Player problems from certain websites

Hi all,
I cannot view certain videos and cannot browse normally at many websites with Flash player as it shows that my flash player is out-dated or disabled.
Please advise if this is normal or I'm missing out on something.
Thanks in advance...
felix

The iPhone does not support Flash at this time.
You can submit feedback to Apple: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.
Note that even though YouTube is Flash when you visit the site from your computer, the YouTube app on the iPhone accessed a subset of YouTube videos that have been recoded (as h.264) to work on the iPhone.

  • Flash Player problem in specific website

    Hi,
A month ago, I had problems with Flash Player when accessing http://eterna.cmu.edu/content/EteRNA from my girlfriend laptop.  The chat room rendering is messy; all elements (textbox, button, title, ...) lied on each other.  The game itself didn't render at all.  The weirdest thing was that all this worked on my own laptop.  At first, I thought that maybe it was a programming problem, since this was the only website acting like this with Flash objects, but today, my girlfriend subscribed to a website where the same thing happened.
Here what I've done to solve the problem:
1- Uninstall Flash Player with the official Flash Unistaller and restarted the computer
2- Go to "about" page of Flash Player to make sure all is uninstalled
3- Install Flash v10.2 r153 and test the page (Firefox 3.6.16 and IE 8.0.16.6001.19019), nothing worked
    4- Redo step 1 and 2
5- Download and install the latest version of Chrome since it has embedded Flash Player
6- Test the page again, always the same problem
7- Redo step 1 in command line with -force option
8- Search for Macromedia Folder, files, ..., but found nothing
9- Reinstall the whole thing, always got the problem
Here is the problematic system setup:
    Vista 32 bits
    Firefox 3.6.16
    IE 8.0.16.6001.19019
    Chrome 10.0.648.204
I am a little desperate here, please help
    Thanks

Well, I get rid of the problem by first uninstall Flash Player with the official uninstaller and by following the procedure "Adobe Flash Player Manual Removal Instructions"
at http://www.finaluninstaller.com/blog/ut/how-to-uninstall-adobe-flash-player.html.  Since the procedure is meant for Windows XP, I had to search for additionnal folder location for Vista.  In section 3, "C:\Documents and  Settings\Administrator\Application Data\" should be replace by "C:\Users\[your user profile]\AppData\Local", "C:\Users\[your user profile]\AppData\LocalLow" and "C:\Users\[your user profile]\AppData\Roaming" to be searched for the indicated subfolder. I also deleted Registry Entries indicated in section 4.  Half of the entries were removed, so I had to get rid of the other half.  I restarted the computer and reinstalled Flash, that's all.
I am a little disapointed that the official Uninstaller from Adobe didn't performed its task properly.  Hope this will help enhance the tool.
    Regards

  • Flash Player Problem On My Website

I've got new website http://flappybird99.com/ but when i open it with Mozilla firefox and internet explrorer the flash player doesn't play the swf file.
I don't understand what I've done wrong with my website. If anyone knows how to solve this problem please, contact me.
    Thanks in advance.

It's most likely in your code. This would be better asked in the Dreamweaver forum, as you can't troubleshoot it wirh Flash Player.

  • Non-Flash Player Problem from Hell!

To anyone out there who installed the .45 release of the
Flash player and thought that it was the reason why some websites
no longer would display part of a page's content, well, I bet you
are running Symantec's Norton Internet Security 2007 with the
    "Add-on Pack" installed!
If you are, go to the Norton Protection Center, select the
"Norton Add-on Pack" tab, and turn off Ad Blocking. You might want
to also delete temp files, etc. on your browser (just in case!) and
then close any and all browser windows you might have open.
You should now be able to see all content in pages such as
www.mlb.com and www.delta.com. I am sure there is a workaround with
entries that can be made in the ADVANCED screen where one can
configure Ad Blocking for individual websites, but I am thrilled to
have mine working and have not had time to look into it.
Please feel free to post any workarounds as you uncover them.
    Hope this helps!

I think you are mixing up a couple of things, i.e. Adobe Reader 9.3.3, which is in no way related to Flash Player.

  • Adobe Flash Player Problem: "Movie Not Loaded"

    new user to mac.
i'm getting more and more frustrated with this computer.
what's bugging me the most right now is
i am unable to view videos on certain websites.
    rather than showing the content,
    a white box appears.
when i right click on the white box,
it says "movie not loaded" (in gray) and adobe flash player 9 (in black).
i can't click on the gray line.
when i click on the black line, it brings me to the adobe website and tells me adobe flash player 9 has been successfully installed.
i am fairly sure this has nothing to do with heavy traffic.
any insights on how to resolve this issue?
    cheers.

  • When did these flash player problems begin?

So, I had a computer running Win98 and IE6, which worked
great until Flash Player 8 autodownloaded about 4 months ago,
causing the beginning of an extreme headache. Several
communications with Adobe support (they eventually stopped
responding) over several weeks went nowhere None of the fixes
suggested by them, nor the ones here worked. Countless manhours led
me to think it was time to bite the bullet, buy a new computer. So,
as of two months ago I have a new computer running XP and IE6 with
SP2. I didn't know it until today, when I started having crashes,
but I have Flash Player 7.0.19.0. When i go to Adobe's Test page,
both Shockwave and Player windows show the animations (and no
    crash).
On certain pages, which I believe have flash content, I get
the "IE has experienced a problem and must close" message. It
specifically mentions the flash.ocx file as the offender. It is
    repeatable when visiting certain pages.
So, before I jump into the abyss of attempting to fix this, I
am wondering when these types of problems began. I have been using
Windows and IE since 1998 with no trouble until this year. I hoped
moving to a new computer would solve my Flash compatibility
problems. Could the root problem be new types of spyware, etc that
change something in the registry? Some of the fixes suggested by
Adobe were regarding keys changed in the registry. Unfortunately
those fixes didn't work (in Win98).
Finally, does anyone know if attempting to fix flash player
under XP is any easier than 98? Also, I will admit I may have
visited some sites recently that downloaded some adware, etc. Any
suggestions on cleaning that may solve the flash player problem? I
know this post is all over the map - I don't know where to begin...
    Thanks in advance, Don

    Hi
Which browser is giving you the error? Is it IE11?
Are you saying when you go to Adobe's website and download flash player it gives you an error?

  • Flash Player problem on IE8

Im having a problem in flash player, it doesnt work in IE but it works in Firefox. Tried to upgrade from IE7 to IE8 but still no luck. Whenever im trying to download in IE the activeX is not showing so what i did is to download the flash player 10 using the standalone installer but still not working. I also did the unistall and reinstall and even check the IE activeX settings
What am i suppose to do because i still prefer to use IE than Firefox. My windows sidebar is also not working.
Hope someone will help me to fix this problem.
BTW, i tried the troubleshooting procedures in adobe site but it did not fix the problem: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...9166&sliceId=1
I also tried below procedure but still doesnt work:
on Vista it may help to turn UAC (User Account Control) off before installing Flash Player; a Google search will tell you how to do that
download the Flash Player uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157
close all browser windows and run the uninstaller for Internet Explorer, start it via Start -> Run -> iexplore -extoff
    install Flash Player from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
check if installation was successful at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
for Internet Explorer, click Tools -> Manage Add-ons
find Shockwave Flash Object, and make sure it is enabled (you may need to show All add-ons)
on Vista, turn UAC back on

That you have to disable hardware acceleration in order for Flash Player to work means that your video adapter or video driver can not keep up with the latest Flash Player.
Update your video driver: Windows: how do I update the device driver for my video/display adapter?
Then see if Flash Player still works if hardware acceleration is enabled.

  • Cannot download files from certain websites: log-in prompt

Hi, I am for some reason getting a log-in prompt when clicking on downloadable files from certain websites (pdf files, etc.). It is especially strange because it is happening on multiple sites, which gave me no problem downloading in the past. This is particular to my computer, and it is happening in different locations, so it can't be a problem with my isp or something.
    I am getting this prompt:
"To view this page, you need to log in to area "PAGE TITLE" on "www.address.com:80"
Your password will be sent in the clear."
(Where PAGE TITLE and address.com are specific to the page I'm trying to access)
I've tried giving a username and password, but it didn't work. I tried emptying my cache and deleting cookies, renewing my ip address, to no avail. I do not use any proxies, so I am really confused now.
I've found no documentation of anyone else having this issue.
    Any help would be appreciated!

i figured it out... it was just a strange coincidence, nothing wrong after all.
