Flash Player Problems with IE

Hello,
When I installed the new Flash CS4 when it was released a few
months ago, I noticed that the flash player stopped working with IE
7. That wasn't really a problem for me at the time because I always
use firefox. However, I need the flash player to work with IE for
another program and I can't seem to get it to install anymore. I
keep getting the
http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166
error, so I followed all the solutions on this page:
http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=tn_19166&sliceId=1
But I haven't had any luck.
Does any one have any other ideas?
Thanks

So there aren't any other solutions? (besides reinstalling
vista) I just think it is strange that it was working before I
installed Flash CS4 but not after. Has anyone else encounter
something similar to this?

  • Adobe Flash Player Problem with Safari

    Hello,
I've just installed the latest version of Adobe Flash Player on Safari. I can watch videos on all websites except for one, namely NovaTv Play. Whatever I do, I cannot open any of the videos. Therefore, I have to use a different browser like Google Chrome. I'd like to continue using one web browser but cannot resolve this problem myself. I've checked the FAQ of the aforementioned website and it is stated that if the videos cannot be loaded, the proper installation of Adobe Flash Player should be checked. This is something I did, and as stated, there are no problems with other websites. Can somebody help me with this issue?
I am using OS X 10.9.5 (13F34) and the latest version of Safari.
Thank you for your attention to the problem!
    Best wishes,
    Mariyan

so, if anyone else is having the same problem....My flash is working properly now. You have to delete every trace of the old adobe flash player and then reinstall the latest version!

  • Adobe flash player problem with IE 7 (flickering or Blinking)

    Hello!
I have really anoying problem that bothers me about 2 days..so the problem is when im watching pages ex ( youtube, slo-tech..,) that includes flash.  When i looking pages or whatching videos the page and texts or picture starts flickering or blinking also when i move mouse up and down or when i scroll it's horible and anoying. before i didn't have that problem and i have the latest adobe flash player.
sorry for mine bad english =) i hope u understand what i mean it
    my specs are:
Intel Pentium core duo e8500 3,2ghz
    4gb Patriot viper 800mhz
    Windows Xp service pack 3
hope you can resolve problem =)
    Regards,

    Hello JLavius
Looking at your Java. I am not familiar with IE7 but I know it has different features than IE6 which I still use.
Take a look at your screenshots, the 3 part and the other 2. Are there really 6 Java Plug-in 1.6.0_17 ActiveX Controls installed or is this
a screenshot overlap or counted more than once ? In addition there is another ActiveX Plug in same vs 1.6.0_17 but in file npjpi160_...
Then, there is a Java(tm)Plug-in 2 SSV, a BHO (Browser Helper Object) in file   jp2ssv.dll
Lastly, there is a JQSIEStartDetectorImp (Not verified) Sun Microsy..., another BHO  in file jqs_plugin
I will freely admit, Java is perplexing, but I'm trying to understand why anything takes this many ActiveX Controls and Browser Helpers to run. The 2SSV has it's own BHO and same with JQSIE.
The above is just my observation.  You said that you noticed this flickering and blinking (instability) a few days around the time you posted.
Can you remember installing anything new around that time? Any software or perhaps an IE or Windows Update? Something is causing this and trying to pin point it is going to be difficult. You have the most add ons I have ever seen, but you have a great system too and it
looks like it could handle anything.
It may be worth a look in Add/Remove to see what IE or Windows Updates may have been installed around that date. Any program or Anti-Virus update or change?
I would contact Sun Microsystems and ask them about the Java. Flash Player, Shockwave Flash Object and Java work together for the best experience. See what you can find out and post back. If you can't find anything out, you may need to open up a support ticket here at Adobe. Thanks JLavius, I wish I could be more help.
P.S. here is the Sun Microsystems (Sun) forums.   http://forums.sun.com/index.jspa

  • Flash player problems with PDF that has multi-media content (voice recordings).

Hi  - I created a presentation in Presenter 9 that contains audio recordings, published it as a pdf and sent it to my client's offices all over the U.S., as well as Japan, Belgium, Germany, South America and France. No one has had an issue viewing/hearing the presentation except one office, located in California.  When they try to open it, they get the following message:
"To view the flash technololgy content in this pdf file, please install the required version of flash player."
Because of the message, and the fact that everyone else can open the presentation, I think the issue is related to the version of Flash Player the CA office is using, and that it is not a "Presenter" problem.  The operating system and software details are as follows:
    Windows 7 Pro SP1, 64-bit
    Internet Explorer 11.0.13, 32-bit
    Adobe Reader XI Version 11.0.09
    Acrobat 9 Pro Version 9.0.0
    Adobe Flash Player 15 ActiveX
I would welcome any advice you might have.  This is difficult for me to troubleshoot as I am not having the problem, my client is.
    Thanks -
    Susan

    Pat -
Thank you so much for your response.  I will give it a try.
    Best regards,
    Susan

  • Flash player problems with youtube - using firefox

I have been having these problems for a while now, at least over 6 months I'd say. Everytime I want to watch any youtube video, I get this:
"Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of  Adobe's Flash Player. Get  the latest Flash player."
I have scoured the internet for answers. I have cleared cookies, done clean uninstalls/installs, and java script is enabled. I somehow fixed it yesterday, when I cleared out cookies and also cleared file cache in firefox. It was also fixed after I uninstalled flash player, and upgraded to firefox 3.6. However, the problem has returned and after clearing cookies and the file cache again, it's still not working. I am hoping someone has a permanent fix for this. Also, I can watch videos on google, dailymotion, metacafe, etc. Only youtube gives me these problems.
I am using Windows XP SP2 and Firefox 3.6. Thank you

    I wish that worked :[
I forgot to add that I am also using Norton Antivirus 2005. I already went to the Personal Firewall settings and I configured it to permit all adobe programs.

  • Flash Player Problems with Mac Power PC

I have tried all the suggestions on this forum about how to install Flash Player for a Power PC Mac running 10.5.8. I still get the notice to install Flash Player. Is there something else that could be wrong? I ran the debugger, don't have any firewalls running etc. I finally got it to download and install but where is it going?

    Hi Chris,
    I used this link: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/895134?tstart=0
    Where you said the following,
    'Please try the following:
    1. Follow the instructions for uninstalling Flash Player on the Mac: Uninstall Flash Player | Mac
    2. Mount the flashplayer10_1r102_64_ub_mac.dmg and try installing again
    3. If it still fails, right click on "Install Adobe Flash Player" and select "Show Package Contents".
    4. Navigate into the /Contents/Resources/ folder and double click the Adobe Flash Player.pkg file.
    Thanks,
    Chris'
    It didn't help though.
I tried step 4 and the installer says, "You cannot install. There is nothing to install."
So now, what am I to do??
    Thanks.

  • Adobe Flash Player Problem: "Movie Not Loaded"

    new user to mac.
i'm getting more and more frustrated with this computer.
what's bugging me the most right now is
i am unable to view videos on certain websites.
    rather than showing the content,
    a white box appears.
when i right click on the white box,
it says "movie not loaded" (in gray) and adobe flash player 9 (in black).
i can't click on the gray line.
when i click on the black line, it brings me to the adobe website and tells me adobe flash player 9 has been successfully installed.
i am fairly sure this has nothing to do with heavy traffic.
any insights on how to resolve this issue?
    cheers.

  • When did these flash player problems begin?

So, I had a computer running Win98 and IE6, which worked
great until Flash Player 8 autodownloaded about 4 months ago,
causing the beginning of an extreme headache. Several
communications with Adobe support (they eventually stopped
responding) over several weeks went nowhere None of the fixes
suggested by them, nor the ones here worked. Countless manhours led
me to think it was time to bite the bullet, buy a new computer. So,
as of two months ago I have a new computer running XP and IE6 with
SP2. I didn't know it until today, when I started having crashes,
but I have Flash Player 7.0.19.0. When i go to Adobe's Test page,
both Shockwave and Player windows show the animations (and no
    crash).
On certain pages, which I believe have flash content, I get
the "IE has experienced a problem and must close" message. It
specifically mentions the flash.ocx file as the offender. It is
    repeatable when visiting certain pages.
So, before I jump into the abyss of attempting to fix this, I
am wondering when these types of problems began. I have been using
Windows and IE since 1998 with no trouble until this year. I hoped
moving to a new computer would solve my Flash compatibility
problems. Could the root problem be new types of spyware, etc that
change something in the registry? Some of the fixes suggested by
Adobe were regarding keys changed in the registry. Unfortunately
those fixes didn't work (in Win98).
Finally, does anyone know if attempting to fix flash player
under XP is any easier than 98? Also, I will admit I may have
visited some sites recently that downloaded some adware, etc. Any
suggestions on cleaning that may solve the flash player problem? I
know this post is all over the map - I don't know where to begin...
    Thanks in advance, Don

    Hi
Which browser is giving you the error? Is it IE11?
Are you saying when you go to Adobe's website and download flash player it gives you an error?

Is flash player compatible with the kindle fire?

I am able to run flash on my Kindle Fire HD. It was actually really easy. You have to use a process called sideloading. The information is all over the web. Check out this site: http://kindlefirelive.com/install-adobe-flash-player-onto-your-kindle-fire/

  • Can anyone help with a Flash Player problem on the Weight Watchers site?

I'm having problems with the Weight Watchers web site.  I've tried loading it with IE9, IE8, Chrome and Firefox.  There's a specific area of the site (Pro Points Calculator) which continually flashes.  I can't stop it and I can't access the icons underneath it.  Also the Plan Manager, which contains several other tools, will not load.  I've contacted WW who say their site set up "is not unique but it is rare which is why other websites will work while ours may seem not to.  Please contact your web browser trouble shooting team".  I've loaded the latest version of Flash Player (11), tried compatability view, cleared the cache, enabled cookies etc. all to no avail.  I've even spent almost an hour on the phone with the Techguys who say it is a compatability problem between the web browsers and flashplayer.  I'm stuck!!  Not a techhie and don't know where to turn to for help.  Anyone out there offer any ideas?  (PS - am a newbie to these forums too).  Cheers.  Happy2golf

  • I've had a problem installing Adobe Flash Player; also with Firefox. Tried to download a new FF; it goes crazy! keeps repeating an opening page! Now I don't have FF installed, or Flashplayer, and I think these problems are connected. Help!

Mac OSX 10.5.8 system. Problems have been ongoing with the Firefox I had installed a while ago: would open browser in Safari, and FF would take over; keep asking me to personalize my browser program. In truth, Firefox was kind of "taking over", and I wasn't happy with it. Usually open the internet in Safari.
Present problems started with trying to download, install and open a few new games. Kept telling me I needed to install Adobe Flashplayer. I could download it, but it wouldn't install. Downloaded both the Flashplayer installer AND the Flashplayer uninstaller a number of times. Today, I decided to get rid of the Firefox on my hard drive and download a newer version - then try again to download Flashplayer and install. The new FF download just kept opening a new browser page.

What is your current Flash Player version: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html ?
