Flash Player stopping from using Articulate

I have windows explorer 11 supposedly with Flash player installed.
when I try to open articulate the message reads flashplayer 10 or higher for internet explorer is needed to run articulate storyline.  so I go to adobe website which states
"Flash Player is integrated with Internet Explorer in Windows 8.
You do not need to install Flash Player."
if I say I don't want to install flash player it doesn't start articulate.
can any one help as I have some important deadlines and can not talk to any human by voice.
dan

First, confirm that ActiveX Filtering is configured to allow Flash content:
https://forums.adobe.com/thread/867968
Internet Explorer 11 introduces a number of changes both to how the browser identifies itself to remote web servers, and to how it processes JavaScript intended to target behaviors specific to Internet Explorer. Unfortunately, this means that content on some sites will be broken until the content provider changes their site to conform to the new development approach required by modern versions of IE.
You can try to work around these issues by using Compatibility View:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/internet-explorer/use-compatibility-view#ie=ie-11
If that is too inconvenient, using Google Chrome may be a preferable alternative.

  • I have an IMac 10.5.2 from about 5 years ago and recently my flash player stopped responding.  I tried to update my flash player but it tells me I need an updated system to install the player.  Can anyone help me figure out how to solve this problem?

I have an imac osx 10.5.2 from about five years ago and recently my flash player stopped operating/responding.  Does anyone know if I have to install a new flash player?  I have attempted it several times and it won't let me.  I would appreciate any suggestions on how to solve this problem.  Do I need a new operating system?

Why have you not updated to 10.5.8?
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version,10.3.183.23 or later, is for Intel Macs only running Tiger or Leopard, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.4.402.265 or later is for Snow Leopard onwards.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC (G4 or G5) Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications (including Safari) first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
After installing, reboot your Mac and relaunch Safari, then in Safari Preferences/Security enable ‘Allow Plugins’. If you are running 10.6.8 or later:

  • Adobe flash player stopped working properly please help

i'm using adobe flash player version10.0.32.18 on vista, and everytime i open my facebook application, i often encountered adobe flash player stopped working properly, then the page will recover, then after few minutes it will stopped then recover again. please someone help me how to solve this problem.

Hi, Thanks. Your Flash Player files and the SWO(if it is vs 10.0.45.2) are correct. Are you having problems on other sites
or just that one? Are you getting a message that is different than "you need to update your Flash Player?"
Many times it is the websites or if you are getting this from a game, then that can be causing the problem. I haven't been
able to determine if the websites that have NOT updated to support the latest Flash Player are just putting out a generic
message or not.  You might want to check with the site to see if they support FP vs 10.0.45.2.
You may have an add on that is conflicting also, it is hard to tell. Some anti-virus programs have add ons that may conflict.
Since several users are having problems with Facebook, Farmville, Zynga, etc. my opinion is that it is not your computer.
One that posted here is waiting on a reply.
    Thanks,

  • Flash Player stopped working for Chrome in Windows 8

Randomly, the flash player stopped working for Chrome. I run a Windows 8 system. Everytime I go to a website that uses the flash plugin (youtube, video streaming websites) a bar pops up telling me that the plug in will only work in the desktop. I've never encountered this problem before.
    I have:
    1. Checked to see if I needed updates. I'm all updated.
    2. Reinstalled Chrome to try and fix it, to no avail.
Additionally, when I view the Flash Player settings from my control panel, under Advanced Settings, it says that the plug in version is not installed. However, I'm unable to click on that or click on the settings that say "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)".
What is going on? I really disllike running Chrome from the desktop and would like this to be fixed.

Chrome uses its own "proprietary" build of Flash Player, so you WON'T see any plugin in your control panel for it. You verify that it's enabled by typing "chrome://plugins" in your Chrome address bar. I'd provide a screenshot but I've REMOVED Chroime from EVERY system I have because it uses WAY TOO MUCH processor and  it was launching by itself in the background on my Win 8 machine. I won't tolerate that out of ANY software.

  • Flash Player stopped working in outlook

After updating from google to google chrome my flash player stopped working in microsft out look, using microsoft office 2007 with vista. The the flash player works with google chrome but not with outlook. How can I fix this problem.

    Outlook doesn't need Flash Player.

  • What version of Flash Player should I use with my Power PC based Mac?

I did the following (see below from a Recent Forum) - and even got a sucessful INSTALLED, but when I go to YouTube....I can not get anything and I am asked to update FLASH.....thoughts?
What version of Flash Player should I use with my Power PC based Mac?
Please follow these instructions for installing the most recent version of Flash Player that supports PowerPC based Macs
    1. Follow the instructions for uninstalling Flash Player on the Mac: Uninstall Flash Player
    2. Download and extract the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 zip file
    3. Navigate into the folder "/Flash Player 10.1.102.64/10_1r102_64/"
    4. Mount the file "flashplayer10_1r102_64_ub_mac.dmg" by double clicking
    5. Install using the normal procedure

I was finally able to successfully installed FP on my Mac OS 10.5.8 using the last trick shown below by Chris (Adobe Flash Player.pkg file). This, only after several (at least 10) attempts, and only after restarting my computer after downloading the install file. Thanks for the helpful post.

  • Download flash player 11 from app store

Download flash player 11 from app store not working

There IS NO FLASH PLAYER in the App Store
You shouldn't be using Flash Player 11 anyway. Use 12: Flash Player 12 (Mac OS X)

  • Flash Player stops installing

Flash player stops at the last window, and dosen't do anything. If I go in the browser it says that flash player wasn't installed correctly...

The different location to dl worked! Thank you Pat! I did try the links with Firefox and with Google Chrome and had the same result of the 404 error but when I checked the links on my iPhone it did show a link to download from. There's something fishy with my Mac. This same link appears in several places including the Adobe troubleshooting page and yet I still get a 404 on all of them.
    Jeromie the terminal says this....
    Server: 208.67.220.220
    Address: 208.67.220.220#53
    Non-authoritative answer:
    fpdownload.macromedia.com canonical name = fpdownload.wip4.adobe.com.
    fpdownload.wip4.adobe.com canonical name = fpdownload.macromedia.com.edgekey.net.
    fpdownload.macromedia.com.edgekey.net canonical name = e526.d.akamaiedge.net.
    Name: e526.d.akamaiedge.net
    Address: 23.210.246.249
If you can give me feedback or point me to what this means, I would be so grateful. I probably need to post this problem on another forum somewhere.

  • Uninstalling Flash Player 10 from school networked computers

I am employed by several Primary Schools to support their PC fleets. Both schools have older technology - the one with the problem is running (mainly) Windows XP Pro SP3, with Windows Server 2003 as the server software.
I am the latest of a long line of technicians in these schools and the communal wisdom is that upgrading Flash Player has been an issue foir some time.
Here's the scenario. At some time in the past, the Flash Player 10 Install MSI file was used to populate the PCs with that version of Flash Player. Since that time, a string of technicians have rolled out updates on an individual basis - ignoring the .MSI file sitting in the Group Policy. At some time, someone has actually removed the .msi file, so that the automatic update no longer works, and manual uninstall no longer works either (can't find the install file)!
We need to install Flash Player 11 (for use with several educational web packages), and manual installation only installs the package for the network (or PC) user who is currently logged in to a particular PC.
I've reinstated the Group Policy using the latest Flash Player installation .msi for Windows. I can see that it is installing when I start the PC, but IE STILL uses the older version (10.0, I think), and the web pages in question ask me to install a later version.
Now, I've noticed that there are several hundred sets of user files on each PC, as there is no mechanism to delete these once a login session has completed. I've noticed that there are bits and pieces of Flash Player in many of these, going back at least as far as version 8!
The crux of my problem is What do I have to do to get Flash Player 11 working on these networked PCs? Do I have to remove all those domain user leftover files? And if so, does anyone know how that can be done from a central location (not 1 by 1 as I am reduced to now!)?

The first thing I would like to point you to is the Flash Player Admin Guide at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flashplayer/articles/flash_player_admin_guide.html
You obviously have already found the installer MSI files at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html - note that the first set are the 64-bit installers, followed by the 32-bit installers.
Basically these installers should remove all older FP versions, but if they don't, try using the uninstaller from http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html
However, I am not sure if you can run the uninstaller via Group Policy; maybe you can find some information on that in the Admin Guide?  If not, feel free to ask again; there are some more knowledgeable people than me around here.

  • Linux - after update to firefox 5 64-bit flash player stopped working

After updating firefox 5 (from stable repo) the flash player stopped working.
I have had installed the adobe flash player square (64 bit) - by following http://queleimporta.com/en/finally-adobe-releases-native-64-bit-flash-10-for-linux/ ...
The .so library is still on its place(/usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so), though firefox does not seem to have flash player installed.
before update to firefox 5 it worked
    system is Xubuntu 10.04

Finally I've found out that it's possible to install flash from lucid repositories (which works... named 'flashplugin installer')... I've never noticed that before... So sorry for asking stupid question and thanks to anyone who spend some time even only by reading this thread.
//EDIT: so question 2 - how to tag the topic as solved? :)

  • Flash player stops working after a few days.

I'm recently having issues with flash player on IE and Firefox each time a new version is released. This time the flash player stops working after a few days without any reasons. I have asked two other questions and I have tried the solutions but this time they are not working:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4617987#4617987
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4548211#4548211
Could anyone tell me what the reason is?
I also need links providing Flash player for IE and Firefox which are always updated. I need to first download the installer then install it offline not install it directly from adobe website.
Please help me solve this once forever!

I'd suggest trying a clean install: How do I do a clean install of Flash Player?

  • Flash player stop to work with Firefox

Ok it’s just killing me!! Flash player stop to work
    with Firefox
All my web site users including me have this problem and I
guess all the millions of mozilla users
When you press play it’s not working or it’s no
    sound
What solve the problem is to download oldest Flash-Player
Please fix it as fast as you can.
    Thanks.

Thanks for the assistance Chris.  I tried the 11.7 option without success.  I downloaded the 11.7 file, I closed all browsers, used the flashplayer uninstaller, restarted the CPU, installed the 11.7 (with auto updates disabled).  Restarted Firefox, tested a Flickr video, same "no-play" results.
However, after doing the same thing and downloading the Archive version http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp_10.3.183.75_archive.z ip I was able to play the Flickr videos!  WooHoo.
I completed the update process to the latest version, and now the videos play properly with the latest version!
Not sure what the bad actor was, the 11.7 version did not fix it, but the older 10.3 version did!
Thanks to all for the assistance with this pain in the arse issue.

  • Adobe Flash Player stopped a potentially unsafe operation

Does anyone know what this is about: a popup appeared which
    said:
Adobe Flash Player stopped a potentially unsafe operation
The following local application on your computer or network:
    javascript:parent.payload1018
is trying to communicate with the Internet-enabled location:
    msn.server-sys.com
It then goes on to advise that if I want to allow the
communication I should click on Settings.
This sounds like a virus problem. Can anyone advise me on
    this?
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for responding Gary. Pretty funny about the Google
comment - never occurred to me. Anyway I have spent the last 2 days
running many of the online scanners - Kapersky, Symantec, Macafee,
(currently running Nod32) and some malware software: Adaware,
SuperAnitSpyware, and some rootkit detectors and those are the ones
I can remember! Issues were found (some known, some not) and 2
items pointed out were actually installed by me but did not do any
damage (I looked at the registry and other places for telltale
signs of virus deployment as per Symantec instructions for those
flagged virus's but I was ok) however not one of the flagged items
explains the javascript warning. So far my computer has been on for
more than 24 hours and I have not seen any messages appear
(Javascript or otherwise) - especially since I cleaned out my
restore points. It looks like my installed antivirus software
(TrendMicro) worked for the regular virus problems and somehow
Adobe caught the javascript issue. I guess I just have to hope
there is nothing going on that is getting past them. This is what I
get for being a little risky lately. My antivirus and firewall
software are on high alert mode for the time being and we'll see
what happens from here. I take a look at the software you
suggested. If you find anything else out about the javascript error
    let me know.
    Thanks.

    Adobe Flash player stops working?

    Welcome to the Adobe Forums.
To better assist you with this issue we need to know:
What is your operating system? (Windows or Mac) (XP, Vista, 7, 8)
What browser do you use? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari)

  • What flash player do I use?

I have a 64 Bit Window's vista operating system.  What flash player do I use so that I can watch video's again????

There is no Flash Player that you can use on the iPad. Flash never worked on iOS devices. There are some browsers that claim to allow some Flash content to work on the iPad.
check out the browsers described here.
