Flash Player Update Not Working -You Tube videos will not play!!

I have just updated to the latest ver
sion of Flash Player (10.2.152.32) and now You Tube will not play videos - I get sound only. I am using IE8 and Windows XP SP3
Shockwave Flas Object is showing as installed and enabled.
What is wrong? I have uninstalled and reinstalled and all messages show installtion as complete but still no You Tube video although when I have click Adobe test aniamtion links these work OK

Hi, There is new Technology with the latest Flash Player version that you may need to adjust a Setting.
You may want to go to this site: http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/. Right click on the Flash logo, Settings,
then UNcheck the hardware acceleration in Display Settings.
If that doesn't solve the issue, you may need to update your Video card Driver.
Now one thing I'd like to mention is that the Adobe Flash Player Team are wanting to document issues with the latest Flash Player version and issues such as you and others are having. If you would like to give them feedback directly, it would be appreciated as they are trying to duplicate these in house. The link to that is:

I tried upgrading to the latest version. This is not helping either. I don't have this problem when using Internet Explorer. The problem exists on both of my computers.

With certain apps the speaker is not working (you tube, videos, music, etc) I need to use the ear plugs. but w/ other apps the speakers work fine. it eass not like that a day ago. before speakers worked fine w/ you tube, videos and music. what can I do?

the speaker of my iphone sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't. it happens w/some APPS. I can hear a phone call wisth the speakers but not a video of you tube, itunes, etc. Does anyone know how can this be fixed?

I really don't know what to tell you. I'm not using Vista, nor have I heard of anyone else with that problem, or any solution to it. You tube videos do not play and other sites, ie property, do not display pictures, running 7.0.1

looking at estate agent web sites recently which contain series of pics which you can see as slide shows in an enlarged window do not appear in larger window, but are visable as thumb nails, also you tube videos do not run. This is not the case in internet explorer

Here is a solution for the videos anyway first install the firefox add on Add-on Compatibility Reporter that can be found here

next restart firefox then install the add on unplug that is found here

once that is done you might need to make sure that unplug is enabled. if done correctly after its setup you should be able to use the web player you have installed in windows to stream the videos you find on the net.

You can try basic steps like these in case of issues with web pages:
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
*Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
*Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and only cookies from websites that cause problems.

I have windows (crap) seven and internet explorer. When I try to access movies or tv shows, I'm always asked to install the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. When I check the programs list, it indicates that Adobe Flash Player Active X is installed. I have uninstalled adobe and reinstalled it several times. Do you suppose this is a virus, and I need to redo the hard drive completely?

Latest Mozilla onboard & registered Adobe Systems user, so why asked to update Adobe Flash Player everytime to see u-tube video?

On needing and trying to do medical research, I am directed to university videos that are on u-tube.
Have latest version of Mozilla Firefox compatible with Windows 7 Ultimate original registered operating system onboard. All critical MS downloads shown, all hot fixes done. No download failures per Belarc PC Summary, MS security in place.
Have Windows 7 Ultimate (x64) Service Pack build 7601, on an HP pavilion dv6 Notebook PC.
Registered with Adobe Systems Inc.: A Version 2.7, Reader version: 10.1.8.24, Reader and Acrobat Mgr. Version: 1.7.4.0, Adobe Flash Player Update Service Version: 12.0.0.44 and Adobe Systems Inc. Shock Ware Flash Version: 11,9,900,170.
Yet every time I go to U-tube for above needs, it is as though I am being blocked with a small message dead center of screen that reads: "This plugin is vulnerable and needs to be updated-Active Adobe Flash".
What do I do now--this is not only frustrating, it is time-consuming?

You Tube videos won't play Windows 8.1, Shockwave Flash, HTML5, updated

I have tried in Firefox, Explorer and Chrome. It doesn't work in any of them using shockwave flash or HTML 5. I did get HTML 5 to work for a little bit but nothing at all is working now. I have a new ASUS computer running Windows 8.1. I installed Cyberlink software which installed Quicktime and I wonder if that has something to do with it.

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
*Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
*In the Firefox options window click the ''Advanced'' tab, then select "General".
*In the settings list, you should find the ''Use hardware acceleration when available'' checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
*Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Why does adobe reader 11 not allow you tube videos to be viewed on my MAC?

Adobe reader does not allow me to view you tube videos on my MAC. Why?

Every time I install the newest version, for whatever reason, if I want to watch a video, I get a missing plug in message. I don't get the usual "allow or deny" message with it, it just won't allow me to view the video. I watch a lot of art lessons on line and participate in blogs and this becomes very frustrating. The odd thing, is that when I un-install Adobe 11, I can view the videos but, of course, then I can't download PDF files. The weird thing is, other people in my neighborhood are having the same issue and don't know what to do about it. I may just download an earlier version of Adobe because I didn't have this issue until I updated it some months back. Maybe my 6 year old MAC can't handle the technology even though I am running on the latest Safari version?

I tried to update my flash player today and now my computer doesn't recognize any flash player on my system. I am operating on a Mac OS X version 10.4.11 and I use Safari.
I downloaded the flash player update, which opened the install icon automatically. After installation was complete I was instructed to restart my browsers for installation to take effect. I restarted my browser, which didn't work. I restarted my computer, which also didn't work. Anybody have a suggestion to help me fix this problem.

Hi, Adobe recommends Uninstalling current versions first and then Installing the Update. Some Mac users agree, some don't.

Easy You Tube Video Downloader not showing up

I've downloaded Easy You Tube Video Downloader, and it shows up in Tools/Add-ons. But I see no little icons anywhere on my main browser window, and can't see anything that seems relevant when I'm on a You Tube page. So How do I access/use this program?
I tried emailing the developer, <[email protected]>, but it bounced. And I made the mistake of giving a donation in advance!!

No i have no message to verify/ repair your disk with disk utility. I am 62yrs old and i am not very technically minded. Sorry it`s an iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8) Does this disk utility automatically appear. As i have said it only happens in the first ten mins.with the spinning wheel. I can go back down now and they will all be showing you the original icons. Sorry to cause you bother.
