Have downloaded Adobe Flash Player ver 1.2.153.1, the program is OUT THERE BUT, when an application  needs it, it just repeats that I need to download it, HELP
I have the same problem.
My operating system is Windows 7 and I believe it the operating system is both 32 and 64 bit - mosta likely 64 bit.
I did not have this problem in the previous version of Flash Player.
What did Adobe do to mess it up?

  • Flash Player ActiveX 10.2.153.1 supported on VDI ?

I am seeking following information on Flash Player ActiveX 10.2.153.1 in regards to MS Virtual Desktop Infrastructure compatibility, below are questions:
Is the application – Flash Player ActiveX 10.2.153.1 supported on Windows 7 x64 desktop virtualised on Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V presented by Citrix XenDesktop 5.5/5.6 ?
Is the virtualization of the application supported ? [We are Planning to virtualize the Application using Microsoft App-V/Citrix ] ?
Is the application supported if installed on Virtual Machines [VDI] ?
Does the Application’s current License Policy support if the Application is virtualized ?
Does the Application’s current License policy support the Application on Virtual Machines?
If not is there any license policy that supports the Application on Virtual Machines ?

I'm looking into the licensing questions and I'll post back when I get additional information. I'd recommend taking a look at our License Agreement Page for the FAQ and actual license agreement.
As for "support" for VM/virtualized images, native Win 7x64 is supported, but we did not officially test for virtualized environments.  However, many internal team members use Windows under VM environments during daily use.  Your mileage my vary.  I’d suggest trying it out and if you run into problems feel free to add new bugs over at bugbase.adobe.com.

  • Backward compatibility of Flash Player, Ver. 9.0

One week ago today, I upgraded my Adobe Flash Player to Ver.
9.0.47.0. Today, I used it for the first time in an attempt to view
a slide show with audio commentary on a web site. The first picture
of the slide show displays, but the slide show does not progress
from there and, as a result, I can not hear the audio. I tried to
contact the web site and ask them what version of Flash Player they
had used to create the slide show but, so far, no response from
    them..
Does anyone know of any incompatibility issues with Ver. 9.0
and earlier versions? If so, can anyone tell me what I have to do
to downgrade to a version of Flash Player that is earlier than
    9.0?

There is a document under development that covers all the
admin stuff for distributing the licensed Flash Player. However,
it's not public yet. That's where these details are going to be,
    officially.
Right now, all we really have is " IT administrators Flash
    Player FAQ" (
    http://www.adobe.com/go/b0dba60b).
The upcoming doc will be much more sophisticated..
For distribution purposes you must license the Flash Player
    installer via
    http://www.adobe.com/licensing/.

  • Adobe Flash Player (Vers. 14.0.0.176) not working in Safari or Firefox on Mac (Mavericks; Vers. 10.9.4). What do I do?!

    Hi all,
This is my first post to the forum. I've been directed here because I'm having issues with video streaming/playback (in particular, YouTube) on the Safari and Firefox browsers on my Mac. First, a little bit of information:
    My computer:
I have a 2012 iMac with a 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7 processor, 32 GB of memory and a 3TB Apple "Fusion" solid state hard drive. The software version my Mac is currently running is 10.9.4, on the Mavericks OS, as shown in the subject box.
    My Issue:
I've noticed, in the past week or so, that video streaming and playback, on YouTube in particular, are either (a) slow or (b) not loading whatsoever. In YouTube, three things become apparent almost immediately: (1) the video (advert or no advert) simply does not load, with a black screen that turns into a grainy screen after a while with the message "An Error Occurred;" (2) the suggested videos on the side panel (i.e., to the right) do not load properly. The thumbnails of the videos simply do not load; and finally, (3) the comments also appear to experience issues from loading. I've attached screenshots to document this.
N.B. Comments do appear, along with the side panel thumbnails once YouTube has given up on trying to load the video
So, What have I done about it?
Everything I can do, to be honest. I've:
    (1) Checked preferences in Safari (i.e., plugins are installed correctly)
    (2) Cleared Cache in Safari
    (3) Deleted "All Site Data and Settings" in the Flash Player section of my System Preferences
    (4) Uninstalled Adobe Flash Player completely
    (5) Reinstalled Adobe Flash Player
    (6) Contacted Apple
    (7) Checked Preferences in Safari again (i.e., plugins are installed correctly)
    (8) Cleared Cache in Safari again
    (9) Reset Safari
    (10) Deleted "All Site Data and Settings" in the Flash Player section of my System Preferences
    (11) Uninstalled Adobe Flash Player
    (12) Undertook a "Clean Install" of Adobe Flash Player, following instructions
And alas, I'm in the forum! May I also add, that I have also scanned my hard drive for any corruption that may be present, generating a negative result. I just do not know what to do at this stage. I've done everything I have knowledge of in trying to resolve this issue.
ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you
    Kieran

I have downloaded and uninstalled the Flash Player Vers. 10,2,153,1 a number of times using either Safari or Firefox.
    The MacBookPro has a 2.33 Ghx dual-core and Memoery of 3GB, 667Mhz.
The Mac OS is version 10.5.8.
The "download" seems to be 5.9MB but is only trhe installer.  No matter what I do when I click on the ico for Flash I just keep getting the installer which wants me to install the program again.  The Adobe site tgells me my computer has Flash Vers. 10,2,153,1 on it already but I cannot find it in  my applications nor does clicking on the Flash icon do anything but recall up the installer.
My need is critical and immediate.  I am trying to convert a large Powerpoint file (309MB) to a flash file so I can put it opn my website.
I have been using computers since 1959 but find this very frustrating.
    Can anyone help?

Hi, Flash Player is 2.74MB and Flash Player is a browser plugin. Is that what you are trying to Install? FP is not a stand alone.
Look in your Firefox plugins and your Safari plugins for Shockwave Flash. This must be Enabled in order for Flash Player to work. Maybe it's disabled?
Where is this "icon" you are clicking on?
Going to this test site with each browser, can you see the Flash logo animation? Also is FP version 10.2.153.1 displayed?

  • Flash Player Update disables "restore all windows from last session" in Safari on Mac

I am on Mac OS 10.9.5, using safari 7.1.2.  Adobe Flash Player Update loses all safari windows when after update the installer automatically opens safari and just opens flash player website; the "restore all windows from last session" is grayed out in history. The "reopen last closed window" is also grayed out. It has been happening ever since and happened again when I just installed Flash Player ver 16.0.0.257.
For all other normal working situation I can close safari and reopen and see that I can "restore all windows from last session" and there is no problem.  But on flash Player install (set on manual install), the problem is annoying and costs me a lot of time to restore one by one from history.  I do not think this is a Mac or a Safari issue, but will update to Mac Yosemite help if Adobe Flash Player is updated differently in that setup?
    Please help.

Update: I called adobe flash player technical support phone number 1 877-587-1877.  They want $59 (warranty only 6 months) to fix this problem as they use a third party to solve this issue; they themselves provide no support.  Or buy the paid version.  They insist it is my network issue which I absolutely can not believe.
It is adobe Flash player update that forces reopening of safari and wracks the safari losing all windows from last session. That is not my network.  Adobe does not have a proper safari compatible flash player update.
Besides, this is a known problem at Adobe and they are not fixing it and want money to fix it one person at a time!  They also shared that 25% to 30% of the installations have this problem... wow!! and they still will not fix it in a general update!  I wonder if safari has a plug in update that can fix this?

  • Flash Player 16 Installer opens but won't run on 64 bit Wdws 7 and IE 11

I have Flash Player ActiveX Ver. 15.0.0.246 installed on my Dell Inspiron N7010 (Intel Core i3 processor) laptop, running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS with Service Pack 1, 6 GB of RAM, and using Internet Explorer Ver. 11.0, 32-bit browser.  Flash Player notified me that it was time to update to Flash Player Ver 16.0, and took me to the website to download the installer.  I first disabled my anti-virus (ESET NOD32 Ver 8.0.) and malware (Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Ver 2.0.4) software, and then clicked the 'Install' button on the website.  After I gave my security software permission to let it run, it opened the blank black installer window (labeled "Adobe Flash Player Installer").  Nothing happened after that.  No indications that anything was happening appeared in either the Adobe website window or the installer window.  (The Adobe website window had advanced to "Step 2 of 3.")  I gave it 10 or 15 minutes, then clicked the red "X" button in the upper right corner of the window to close it, but the installer window would not close.  I had to use the Windows Task Manager to shut it down.  I tried rebooting and re-attempting several times, but never was able to get the installer to run.
The installer ran fine on my other computer, which has the same configuration / version nos. of OS, IE, AV, A-Malware, and Flash Player, and I was able to successfully upgrade it to FP 16.0.
I have noticed that several others on this forum are having this problem, but with other combinations of OS and browsers, and I did not find a definitive solution for this problem that appeared to be applicable to my combination of software (defined above). If anyone with this combination of software has solved this problem, would you please be kind enough to provide a step-by-step description of the solution, on this forum, in layman's terms, and provide screen shots where little-known Windows, IE, or Flash Player steps / processes / menu choices are involved.
    Thanks,

You write that you "downloaded", but did you also install it?
What version does it tell you is installed at http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html#main_Find_the_Flash_ Player_version_installed_on_your_machine ?

  • Flash Player 10.2.159.1: not updating in IE 9

I have IE 9 and Windows Vista 32 Bit.
I am attempting to update Flash to version 10.2.159.1. I went to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ and clicked on Player Download Center.
I selected the update, and Adobe Get Plus appeared. Under Download and Installation progress, it shows 100.0%. Under Progress, it shows the full bar and under Status it shows "Downloading...". The program never seems to finish after that. After a considerable amount of time, I attempted to close that screen and it came up with a warning about stopping the installation. I clicked yes.
When I went back to http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/, it still shows the Adobe Flash Player as 10.2.153 in IE 9. I ran the Adobe Uninstaller program, restarted, manually download Adobe Flash and installed (without using IE or GetPlus) and tested the version again. It still shows as 10.2.153.
Both FireFox 4 and Apple Safari updated correctly. Is there some issue between IE 9 and this update? I attempted several times with the same issue.
I have another computer using IE 8 and that updated to 10.2.159 with no issues.

I tried the 32 bit IE9 and 64 bit to no avail.
Uninstalled IE 9 and reverted back to IE 8, but still received the message that Flash Player wasn't installed on my pc, even though I've verified it is and it's the correct version.
    My solution:
I am now using Firefox (version 4)...works perfectly and the most current Flash Player is recognized.
I think Microsoft and Adobe may have to talk to each other, as it's affecting Internet explorer and until it's resolved, I'll be using Firefox.

  • Adobe Flash Player Installed.  Doesn't appear to be recognized by IE9.  Incorrect Browser Showing?

    Good evening all,
This Flash Player issue is giving me fits, so I'm hoping one of you might have experienced this before. Websites visited on this tablet do not recognize Adobe Flash Player. I have installed Adobe Flash Player ver 11.5.502.135 for Internet Explorer. When I go to the following link, http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html I get the following information:
"Flash player is running on your system." The lil' ball is running back and forth.
    Flash player version: 11.5.502.135
    OS: Windows 7 (32-bit)
    Browser: Opera
Well, I'm using Internet Explorer 9. What gives? I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall of Flash player. No luck. ActiveX Filtering is off. Shockwave Flash Object add-on is Enabled. I've ran some updated antivirus and found a bunch of signatures, but I removed right away. (Malwarebytes, Spybot S&D)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  I’m about ready to nuke the hard drive and start over.
    Thank you in advance.

    Good Afternoon Sunil,
Thank you for the reply.  Sorry if I wasn't clear on my earlier post.  That is correct, the page was incorrectly detecting the browser as Opera. I was using IE9.  It was very strange.
I corrected it performing a Windows System restore from the previous month.
    Take care.
    Hendy
