Flash player version problem

I can go to this site (
http://www.adobe.com/devnet/security/security_zone/apsb06-03.html)
and read about security issues but I need to present my boss with
the consequences of having a lower version. I am talking about the
type of vulnerabilities and consequences. Does Adobe have an
official release of such vulnerabilities? Please reply soon.

Hi, I see you have the 10.3.181.15 Installed. A thread was just put up that that has been updated to 10.3.181.15 here:
http://forums.adobe.com/thread/858902?tstart=0
I haven't had time yet to see the release notes, so am not sure if any audio issues were involved or not.
The new version is for Windows and IE9 only so far. http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
Well you've done most of what would normally be done. I just read something this morning about audio while searching for something else. I'll see if I can find it.
This is from the other thread you posted to:
I have tried turning the active x on and off with mixed results.  On most web sites with video and the active x on the video won't display and a link will appear to download the flash player.   With Active X off the video will play, but no sound.    I have also downloaded the suggested patch for 10.3 player and still the same results. (no audio)    The only place I get video and audio together. is on Microsoft's Windows 7 support page.
Any suggestions?   ( I am also on IE9 on W7x64)
You may want to go to C:/Windows/SysWOW64/Macromed/Flash  Right click on the Flash and post back the files listed. I don't need any log info, just want to know what Flash Files and version#'s are listed.
Then using IE, go to Tools, Manage addons under "Show" and let me know if Shockwave Flash Object is Enabled & if the version # is 10.3.181.15.
Thanks,
eidnolb

  • 'To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.0 or greater is installed'?

I have recently downloaded the newest version of flash player (version 11.9.900.117) and it is working fine with things like Youtube. However some websites that use flash player are coming up with the error message 'To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 10.0.0 or greater is installed'? I dont understand why this is happening as the version I have is 11.9.900.117 for Internet Explorer?? Please help this is driving me crazy!!!

Exactly the same problem with me, and (apart from basic fix issues like disabling ActiveX filtering, etc) no-one seems to know a solution.
    OS: Win 7 64 bit
    Browser: IE 10
Flash v: 11.9.900.117 (but problem continued after reverting to earlier versions with proper clean uninstalls of 11.9).
I do note that at around the time the trouble started, Google Chrome did some (background) updates, including its embedded version of this latest flash. But if the others (above) don't also have Chrome, that is clearly not the issue. Perhaps it's a registry issue?

  • Flash player youtube problem

Ok guys, this one is a bit more complicated than it sounds. A while back I was using a older version of Fox, I think v 15.xxx and had flash player 11 or 12. When using youtube it looked great. But now I upgraded to the latest firefox and latest flash player. When I watch vids on youtube they look real blurry and pixelated until the 720 hd kicks in. And even then it doesn't look as good and with the older flash player. I checked and my nvidia card doesn't seem to have any effect on either program. Is this a legit problem and which flash player version should I switch back to??

    Hello,
Some problems with Flash video playback can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration in your Flash Player settings. (See [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems|this article]] for more information on using the Flash plugin in Firefox).
To disable hardware acceleration in Flash Player:
#Go to this [http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/video-playback-issues.html#main_Solve_video_playback_issues Adobe Flash Player Help page].
#Right-click on the Flash Player logo on that page.
#Click on '''Settings''' in the context menu. The Adobe Flash Player Settings screen will open.
    # Click on the icon at the bottom-left of the Adobe Flash Player Settings window to open the Display panel. <br/> <br/>[[Image:fpSettings1.PNG]] <br/>
    # Remove the check mark from '''Enable hardware acceleration'''.
    # Click '''Close''' to close the Adobe Flash Player Settings Window.
    # Restart Firefox.
This [http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/help01.html Flash Player Help - Display Settings page] has more information on Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you're interested.
Does this solve the problem? Let us know.

  • This is in regards to to the flash player version 11.6

well i was wanting to know how do i exactly fix my flash player so i can see any videos play the right way, this flash player 11.6 version is messing up really bad so if any can help me fix this i would appreciate it.

To help troubleshoot we'll need the following system information:
    Operating   system
    Browser
    Flash   Player version
When reporting issues with video or audio, it's also helpful to get your system hardware and driver details.  Instructions for finding this information can be found here:
    Windows
    Mac
Finally, sometimes video and audio problems are caused at a lower level and not directly related to Flash Player.  I recommend trying both of the links below to see how they perform.  If the problem exists with both, then Flash Player is most likely not the culprit as the HTML5 video link does not use Flash Player when playing.  You can verify the use of HTML5 by right clicking the HTML5 video and looking for the words "About HTML5" at the bottom of the context menu.
    HTML5   video
    Non-HTML5 video

  • Does the last flash player version works correctly for Adobe portofolio file?

I have a problem with some Adobe Acrobat portofolio files, they were created some months ago with Acrobat X pro version but right now can not be opened.
The first message that appears is:
"To view the Flash technology content in this PDF file, please install this version of Flash Player that supports Adobe Reader and Acrobat"
When I select the option for more info appears:
    Online content cannot be displayed.
I installed the most recently Flash player version but the problem is the same
Actual Flash player installed version: 11.7.700.202
    OS: Windows XP 32 bits
Browser : Internet Explorer version 8.0.6001
    Somebody have any idea?

  • Command line to detect installed flash player version

    Hi All,
Happy New Year to you all.
I have one desktop application (Flash Director/C++) for which I am developing Windows installer script. I am facing some problem developing the installer script regarding installed Flash Player version. When I am running the script, it is overriding the already installed Flash player irrespective of the version.
Is there any command line (for Windows script) to know the version of the Flash player prior to install the installer contained Flash player so that I can check before pushing the installer Flash player?
I would appreciate your quick reply.
    Thanks in advance.
    Sanjoy.

Can anyone please give some inputs on this query?

  • Archived flash player version with Win 8.1

I'm using Firefox version 37.0.1 and Win 8.1 and am having some difficulty with installing a version of flash player that is not the most recent version. I currently have flash player 17.0.0.134 installed and have lost some functionality with extensions which is why I wish to use an older version. When I use the flash player uninstaller and use the 'Check Now' button on https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html I am told that there is no version of flash player installed, however, when I try to install flash player version 16.0.0.35 from the flash archives I get the message "This version of flash player is older than the version currently installed" and the installation process halts. Is there a way to find which version of flash player were previously installed and use the corresponding uninstallers? Is there an additional step to uninstalling flash player for Win 8.1? I'd really like to be able to roll back to the previous version please. Thank you.

It doesn't make a lot of sense that a Flash Player upgrade would affect a third-party Firefox extension.  There's no way for other plugins to hook into Flash unless you've disabled ProtectedMode (which is also a bad idea from a security perspective), and we don't hook into other plugins.  I'm wondering if maybe some internal Firefox configuration files might have been corrupted.
Are you running the right installer when you download the Archives?  There's an ActiveX installer for Internet Explorer, and an NPAPI plug-in installer for Firefox.
If you need to run an older version, you're way better off using the Extended Support Release.  It's an old feature branch, but with all the security fixes between now and then.  We updated it in parallel with our current release.
Just scroll down to the Extended Support Release section and choose the second row - EXE installer for plug-in based browsers:
Adobe Flash Player Distribution | Adobe
Once you've run that installer, if you still don't see Flash Player, then my guess there's either a bad registry entry or Firefox config file in play.
It won't do a lot of good trying to fix it if the filesystem is in a wonky state, so it's worth ruling that out first:
Caveat: Sometimes corrupted software is an early indicator that your disk is going bad.  It's wise to ensure that you have current working backups, especially if you have anything important on the machine.  Checking the disk for problems is a relatively safe operation, but will also give the disk a workout.  If it's on it's way out, you may not get a lot of additional warning.
    Checking the disk for errors:
    http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2641432
At that point, if you identified problems and fixed them, but things still don't work, it's time to uninstall both Flash Player and Firefox and reinstall from pristine sources.
If you're still stuck, let me know.

  • To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 11.1.0 or greater is installed

Hi, I have this message on almsot all sites ( sites of videos or cam):
To view this page ensure that Adobe Flash Player version 11.1.0 or greater is installed.
I have the last version 11 8 800 94. I have try to uninstall and reinstall but its change nothing.
I have windows 7 and 64 bits exploitation.
Hope somebody can help me to resolve this problem , thanks in advance for your help.

I had the same problem on Safari.  After the 11.8 update, my browser stopped loading flash content.  I solved the problem by completely deinstalling flash, rebooting the system, and then installed the previous version- 11.7.  All is back to normal on my system.  Perhaps the problem is 11.8?  Good luck.

  • Flash Player Updation Problem

I am using a laptop with Windows 7 / 64 bit operation system. The current Adobe Flash Player version is 16.0.0.287. Its says its outdated and requires an updation. But after downloading the .exe file and trying to update, it says error downloading. Tried a number of times but could not instal. Please help.

Hello Chris, first let me thank you for taking the time to respond to my dilemma.  I am using WIN7 Home Premium and IE9.  It took me a long time to find out where the Flash program reside.  I found them to be in folders on SysWOW64 and System32.  I attempted to delete the files in the Flash folder with the intent to uninstalled Flash so that I could do a fresh install.  I was not able to complete this exercise as I was unable to delete the .ocx file.  It required an administrator to do this.  Although I am the administrator on my system, it would  not delete.  There you have in a nutshell where I am with this problem.  Regards. Patti

  • Where can I get the lastest Adobe Flash Player (version 10) for my Dual 1.8GHz PowerPC G5?

Can someone tell me how to get the lastest Adobe Flash Player (version 10) for an Apple PowerPC G5 computer with OS 10.5.8?

You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS. Note that version 10,1,102,64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users*. The latest version, 10.2.152.25, 10.3.x beta, or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Version 11.0.1.152 is for Lion.
    * Unhelpfully, if you want the last version for PPC Macs, you need to go here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html  and scroll down to 'Archived Versions/Older Archives'. The first one on the list, Flash Player 10.1.102.64 is the one you download. More information here:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/838/cpsid_83808.html
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/909/cpsid_90906.html
and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.
(If you are running a PPC Mac with Flash Player 10.1.102.64 and are having problems with watching videos on FaceBook or other sites, contributor Texas Mac Man suggests the following solution which fools the site into thinking that you are running the latest version:)
Download this http://www.steelbin.com/FPforFBPPC.zip to your desktop, unzip it, and replace the current Flash Player plug-in which is in your main/Library/Internet Plug-Ins folder, (not the user Library). Save the old one just in case this one doesn't work.

  • When I install Flash Player version 10.2.152.32 it shows up in the control panel but only ....

When I install Flash Player version 10.2.152.32, it shows up in the control panel, under Programs and Features but the only thing that shows up is the name and version of the product.  On the right hand side, the size of the program in megabites is supposed to be displayed but it isn't for flash player.  I am using Windows Vista Home Premium and it is a 32 bit operating system and the browser I use is Windows Internet Explorer.  Does anyone know why I could be having problems downloading this?

What is the problem you are having?  Does Flash Player work?  Can you see the Flash animation at http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/ ?
Flash Player is a browser add-on, not a standalone program, and most likely therefore does not indicate any program size in the Control Panel.

  • What is the minimum required flash player version for FMP?

subject pretty much says it all.
and, does FMP degrade gracefully with older FP versions?  e.g., does it use StageVideo only if a user has the required flash player version?

Oracle says that from 10g onwards, not need to have any other cluster software since it is providing CRS (cluster ready services) with 10g. However, having HACMP installed would be a good idea. I heard many problem, earliy release of 10g, aboug just using CRS instead of other clustered services.
Well, we are using SHARQ d240 storage, but, didn't required any raw partition, and also not using ASM. Basically, we are in a testing mode.

  • Air Badge Installer not working on recent flash player versions in Firefox?

Whenever you click the Install button on the badge installer, it just does nothing until "Try Again" appears, and try again does nothing as well. This seems to be happening in all Firefox versions, but it fixed when I reverted to flash player versions 10.3 and 11.5. On version 11.6 and beyond the feature still seemed to be broken however.
There doesn't seem to be any problems in Chrome.
Has anyone else experienced this issue and know of a fix?

I just tried it on an application I built a little while back and it seemed to work.
