Newest Flash Player update does not function with Firefox.

    Hey Chris,
I was able to duplicate this issue on my Windows 7 laptop as follows:
         1)  Completely uninstall FlashPlayer (using your tool) as well as Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla Maintenance Service (used Windows 7 - uninstall from Control Panel).  Please note that I checked the box that said "Remove my Firefox personal data and customizations" to ensure that Firefox was completely gone from my laptop.
         2)  I then went out to the Firefox website and downloaded the "Firefox Setup 13.0.1.exe" app to my laptop.  I ran this app to install Firefox.
         3)  I then went to the following website http://www.ishmael.org.uk/karaoke02.php as I know that this URL uses Flash Player (obviously you can go to any URL that uses Flash Player - I'm just letting you know which one I used).  I then clicked on the icon on this page to install Flash Player.
Once the install was completed, the URL stops responding and appears to be locked up (although it will occassionally hiccup and display portions of the page and then lock up again).  You will eventually get a pop-up notice from Firefox that has the header "Warning:  Unresponsive script" and says the following:
A script on this page may be busy or it may have stopped responding.  You can stop the script now, or you can continue to to see of the script will complete.  Script:  chrome://browser/content/browser.js:6551
Selecting "Stop script" will get Firefox working until you hit another page that uses Flash Player.
To ensure that the above URL is not the culprit, I used one from your website http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html and had the same results.
    Hope this info helps!
    Jeff
NOTE:  As a reminder, I do not have RealPlayer installed on my laptop (and never have had it installed)

My issue is with firefox,IE,and Chrome though. It almost makes it look like it is conflicting with graphics drivers. Sometimes turning off hardware acceleration fixxes the video also, sometimes not.

I have downloaded and installed adobe flash playe ver 10 5 time and it does not work some one with the same problem said mozilla fire fox is not compatible with the new flash player should i go back to internet explore and uninstall firefox? or is this a problem with your server fix this please

There are two different versions of Flash, one version for IE (ActiveX) and another version for all other browsers (Plugin version). You need to install the Plugin version,
1.Download the Flash setup file from here: <br />
    [http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe Adobe Flash - Plugin version]. <br />
Save it to your Desktop.<br />
    2. Close Firefox using File > Exit <br />
then check the Task Manager > Processes tab to make sure '''firefox.exe''' is closed, <br />
    {XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC = Processes tab}
    3. Then run the Flash setup file from your Desktop.
    * On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). <br />

  • Adobe flash player won't load my webcam

Regarding Lion OS X 10.7.1; I'm on a website that uses Adobe Flash player to use my webcam but it won't work.
I did some research and enabled Java (see screenshot) and even enabled 'applet plug-in and Web Start applications' and I don't even know what that means lol, but I did it anyway.
I've even downloaded the latest Adobe Flash Player (I think it installs automatically) and re-booted, but no good.
I've gone on YIM and the cam works, even on iChat and the webcam can be selected and works.
Any Apple Lion users have any solutions??
    Thanks!
    users??

    Hi,
Do you also have the Google Video/Voice plug-in ? (For Web Chatting with Video on the Google Web Mail or iGoogle pages)
This has been known to conflict with Flash.

  • Flash player won't load all videos

    Hi there.
Flash players load youtube and facebook videos fine but on pages like live leak or Vimeo it doesn't work.
It states that there's an error or the videos is unavailable.
I've uninstalled it and when I go to the Adobe flash site it says that Google Chrome has a built in flash player :/
I'm using Windows 7 with the newest updates and Google chrome 21.0.1180.79
    What can I do?

Google Chrome has in-built Flash Player. You don't need to install it separately.
Do you have issues with Internet Explorer too?
Could you please try the solution provided in the following page? http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/enable-system-flash-player-google-chrome.html
    Thanks,

  • Flash Player won't load game in Facebook using Google Chrome

I have a Windows 7, 32 bit.  I like to use Google Chrome.  I have one game that won't load.  I have went through all the troubleshooting steps.  I noticed that the settings won't save the "use unlimited" setting.  I have changed it several times and everytime I go back its back on 0.  Help please.

Besides posting over on Google's forums, you might also want to try closing your browsers and deleting the following folder:

  • Flash Player won't load

I am using Vista 32 bit and IE 8.  Until yesterday, I have had no issues with Flash Player.  Yesterday, however, games I play on Shockwave were telling me to download the flash player.  I have, MANY times, to no avail.  I have used the Uninstaller, rebooting my computer each time.  I downloaded the flash player from the distribution site (a suggestion in another thread) and rebooted my computer, to no avail.  I don't see evidence of the program on my computer or as an add-on, if I am supposed to see it there.  Can someone please help me?
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Yes, they were the same.  I downloaded the uninstall and install program from the same places your links sent me.  I uninstalled and rebooted.  Installed and rebooted.  I am the administrator on my computer, so I am able to install and uninstall.  There were no error messages received.  I checked all addons and run without permission - Shockwave Flash Object is not listed.
Here is what is listed under C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash:
    Flash101.ocx                         Activex Control
    Flashinstall                            Text Document
    Flashutil101_ActiveX.dll          Application Extension
    Flashutil101_ActiveX               Application
Since it seems that Flash IS installed, just not being accessed by IE - I wonder - would it be worth it to try and reinstall IE?  Possibly something has happened that the two programs are not working together for some reason?
Thank you again for your help!

  • Adobe flash player won't load on my Mac

I got a notification on my MAC OS X 10.6.8 saying to upload the latest version of Adobe flash player.
I went ahead (then restarted the computer) but since then all my applications have been blocked, saying "blocked plug in".
Took advice and uninstalled any previous Adobe flash players from the Applications folder - then resinstalled the up to date Flash Player.
Restarted the PC again, but its made no difference. Safari still won't accept the Flash Player, my applications file shows that no Adobe Flash Player is installed and its now rendering my applications unusable.
I've been advised that Apple make the Adobe flashplayer update mandatory in order to continue using the MAC - frustrating to say the least !

    Thank you for your answer.
I have un-installed all flash players.  I went into a page where it confirms that if the "grey box below is blank" this confirms you have no flash player installed.
The message now says I need to install a flash player to run (whichever) app and to "click here".
I do so, the Adobe flash goes through stage of 1-2-3 and the usual box shows the download as it is happening, but at the end of it there is still no installation and I continue to get the same message - flash player is needed.  (I have restarted the MAC inbetween)
