Flash player won't register when downloading.

My flash player disappeared. It was there yesterday, now it's not.
I tried to download, but it gets to the end, and it gives an error, and says it fails to register.
I had Norton do a remote to disable and try to redownload, but to no avail.
I'm using windows 7 Professional.
All help appreciated.
Also, I tried the active x issue to download, and still no go.

Try if the MSI installer works better: http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_ 14_active_x.msi

Flash player won't work or download. It says it no longer supports power pcs. I am running 10.5.8 on my ibook G4. Seem to have tried everything. i.e. chrome, firebird, archived flash players, etc. All not supported. Any insight??? It started when I tried to upgrade current flash player and it said I needed to uninstall current version, which I did, and then it wouldn't download the current one giving me the not supported story! Please help!!!!!!

Hi Andy, that is correct, they don't support PPC Macs anymore.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,
    Download this if you haven't...
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.6 4_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!

  • Flash Player will not Register when Dowloaded

we are using IE 10, when we try to download the latest Flashplayer it seems to download ok but at the 68% mark when it tries to register it fails and give the error message - ERROR: Failed to Register.  We removed the old version so now we have no way of getting a Flash file to run. What do we need to do to get the current version to run.
We are running on Windows 7

Before running the reset_fp15.bat file  can you run through these instructions and send the flashreport.txt report to [email protected]
Download “SetACL (executable version)_2.zip” from: http://bit.ly/WEppuY
Extract the appropriate “SetACL.exe” from either the 64 bit or 32 bit folder and place it alongside the flash_report.bat file.
Download and extract the flash_report.zip attached to this post
Verify that the setacl.exe and flash_report.bat file are in the same folder
Right click flash_report.bat and select “Run as administrator” (run time should only be a few seconds)
Please post or email the flashreport.txt file that was created when the file was run
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Adobe Flash player won't install, the download page is just blank.

I have a copy of adobe flash CS5.5from when I had a subscription in august. The subscription expired, and I decided to renew it today. I found no way to renew my subscription despite searching for it for a solid hour, so I decided to make a new subscription. I shelled out 32 bucks for this, and when I want to download my product the page I go to is blank and nothing happens. I tried opening the copy I already have but it says I need to renew my subscription. Not only can't I download a new one because the link just sends me to a blank grey adobe page, but the existing one I have does not work. Please help?

If i am not wrong, i think you purchsed Flash Pro CS6 and when you try to go to download page, you see a grey blank page. If thats, the case, try to add creative.adobe.com to Trusted sites and check again after restarting the broswer.
In, case of same issue, you might try downloading it from adobe.com and register it with the same adobe id with which you got the CCM.
Or, if is mis-understood the issue, please ellaborate and specify the exact issue that you are facing right now.

  • Flash player: won't work after downloading..

    Hello everyone!
The Adobe Download Manager states that the "installation complete."  But I'm unable to find it anywhere in my pc. When I click on the Adobe icon on my PC, it takes me back to this site to download.
    What am I doing wrong?

I'm having the same problem for weeks now.  uninstall and reinstall I don't know how many times.  YES, I do see t
he flashing F sign now, but still no youtube vids playing?

  • Adobe Flash Player has been disabled and downloading an updated version says that it won't download until Mozilla is closed and I don't know what that means.

Adobe Flash Player won't operate when I am using Mozilla. The window says that it is disabled. I have tried enabling it, but it doesn't do anything. When I try to download the latest version of AFP, it says that it will download when Mozilla Firefox is closed. I have closed Mozilla, I have turned the computer off and nothing that I have tried has activated AFP.

I had been getting those notices for months, I finally broke down and hit the button to automatically upgrade. I was flooded with offers of new services from $10. to $49. per month - and my audio/video for Facebook, NYT and NPR are "blocked" with the advice to "upgrade " my Adobe Flash Player - for which there does not seem to be any customer support. My advice is to skip the "upgrading" if your computer works;I do not know what to do now . .  .

  • Flash player 10.0.32.18 won't  Register when I'm done downloading it. So HELP!!!

I got Windows Xp and the new flash player 10.0.32.18 won't Register when I'm done downloading it. What I do?

FP = Flash Player.  Try this method
    download the FP uninstaller from http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_14157 (save to disk);
    download the offline ActiveX installer http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe (save to disk);
close all browser windows, then run the downloaded uninstaller (to remove all previous FP versions), followed by the installer.

  • Flash Player won't download on iMac

I am trying to update my Flash Player but I just go round and round the two Adobe download sites in a circle. Nothing happens when I click the download button.
    iMac (2011), Mavericks OS 10 9.1
    Existing Flash player version 11.9.900.170
New version offered by the Adobe site: 12.0.0.38
    Safari Version 7.0.1
In Mavericks > System Prefs > Flash Player > Advanced I have checked "Allow Adobe to install updates (recommended)"
In Mavericks > System Prefs > Security & Privacy > Firewall, the Firewall is turned OFF.
In Safari > Security > I have checked "Enable Java Script" and
I have checked "Allow Plugins. In "Manage Website Settings", under "Allow subsites to use this plug-in with the settings below", and "Currently Open websites", get.adobe.com is "Always Allow".
    The Problem:
    I have visited:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-mac.html
which confirms my present version of Flash Player. I press on:
"Download Adobe Flash Player page by clicking here."
    That takes me to:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
but when I press the big rectangular orange button "Install now" I am sent to:
    http://www.adobe.com/uk/
which is promotion for the Cloud. At the bottom is "Downloads" and a button "Adobe Flash Player". Pressing that button takes me back to:
    http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
So I am going round in circles with no error message to tell me what is wrong.
I got the same result when running Mountain Lion (OS 8), now also in Mavericks
I need to use another application that requires the current version of Flash Player. What a nightmare!
    Any ideas please?

  • HT5271 Downloaded latest Apple updates that informed me old versions of Adobe Flash Player were disabled and advised me to go to Adobe and down load latest version of Flash Player. Did that, but Flash Player won't play swf files, which it did before.

Downloaded latest Safari update that informed me that older versions of Adobe Flash Player were being disabled and then advised me to go to Adobe and down load latest version of Flash Player. Did that, but Flash Player won't play swf files, which it did before. (Instead of opening, it comes up as a page of code).

    Hi..
    Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
    Click:  Delete All
    Now select the Storage tab.
    Click Delete All
    Relaunch Safari to test.

try downloading the offline installer of Flash Player from here, and then run the installer locally on your MacBook Pro.

  • Flash player won't work after a successful download

    About my Mac:
    OS X version 10.8.4
    1.3 GHz
    Safari: version 6.0.5
I have installed and unistalled flash player several times, and even restarted my computer. I followed all the steps to do so correctly, but the Flash Player won't work at all. Youtube and other websites give me error messages when I try to watch a video. They say "missing plug-in".
I really can't seem to find the problem.
(For what this info is worth: I just got my computer a couple days ago)

How to perform a "clean install" of Flash Player in Mac OS X
    Give that a shot.
