Flash Player Won't Save Web Cam Setting

Spent 2 hours on phone with Apple and they said it's an ADOBE FLASH PLAYER problem. To use the iSight as a web cam on a MBP I have to select the USB Video Class Video selection in the flash player setting webcam area. I did that and the green light came on to the right of the iSight cam and the feed showed up in the little white box, however when I click close on the setting box the green light for the iSight cam goes out and the feed do not stream to our chat room.
Has anyone else had this issue?

No it's not a Flashchat issue, it's a FLASH issue becasue it
only happens whenever a person goes to a FLASH made chat room. I've
seen others inquiring about this but no one ever post a fix for it.
I really do hate that I have to send back a wonderfull notebook
only because it won;t work in my chatroom, but the chat room is a
major part of my radio show.

We are waiting Adobe.  Fix this problem.  With Flash not working on both Macs and Windows systems it seems that Flash will soon be irrelevant.

Hi fmlogue, What thread people post on doesn't necessarily reveal their system nor their problem. Regarding the fact that a bug report has been filed would not be the determining factor whether there is a bug in the Flash Player code. I'm sure you know that Java has  a system of reporting bugs and if and when THEY decide if it is valid then they assign an ID
to the report. They then investigate and make the determination whether it is so or not. So just because someone reported a bug doesn't make it so. Like I said if there were a true bug, then it would affect everyone that installed Flash Player and that is simply not the case.
Regarding the link you provided, http://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browser/FP-1914, I am not registered. However, I did take a look at JIRA, a maker of plug-ins. Also I took a look at Atlassian, an Australian based Software Company, that is into
Software Development Tools and Collaboration Software & JIRA plugins.
What this has to do with Flash Player, escapes me. I also took a look at Pandora Streaming Music and don't see where it is much different than other streaming music programs.
Are you a developer? How is Adobe Air needed for streaming music? Just a question, since I don't use Adobe Air and am able to listen to almost anything on the Internet, TV and radio, etc.
fmlogue, this is not MY program, please, if it was do you really think I would be on this forum? :-) I am a user like yourself,
just trying to help people with their Flash Player problems, since I don't have any.
Now, I am not familiar with MAC, although I was able to help a couple of users with their MAC and Flash Player issues. Not because I knew anything about MAC, but because they were good at sending screenshots and I was able to see what their problems were. PC's and MAC are so different and I'm not sure of the "language" so have some problem with that.
You would probably be better served if you started a new thread with the information that you provided here and get advice from the MAC users. That is up to you. Like I said, I am just not that familiar.
From your Macromed folder you have the latest FP; and in Library, the Shockwave 10 is most likely for Adobe Air.
The only way you and I can work together on this if I speak PC to you and you interpret and speak PC to me.

  • Flash player won't install on safari 7.0.3 any hints?

flash player won't install on safari 7.0.3 .  I can download but the install stops at 50%.  I have allowed plug ins.
    any hints?

jabenn, I believe this to be caused by an issue with the Flash Player Install Manager, which Adobe is aware of.
As a first step, you could try removing it from the folder Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash Player. If you see a folder in that location entitled "Flash Player Install Manager", you need to trash it (you will need to enter and Admin password to authorise that step). This is recommended by Adobe. Now try again.
If that still fails, you can either follow the full Uninstall / Re-install process set out here: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1267823  ... or use my three-step workaround to save time, hassle and restarting. This starts at the scenario described in your initial post (i.e. a stalled installation):
Force quit Adobe Flash Player Install Manager
Locate and mount the Flash Player Installer disk image with Disk Utility
Locate the Adobe Flash Player installer package within the Install Manager app and run the installation from Finder
    Hope this helps. Enjoy.
    --- Those steps in detail:
    1. Force quit Adobe Flash Player Install Manager
Press these three keys together: Cmd + Option (or Alt) + esc
Select Adobe Flash Player Install Manager in the popup window titled "Force Quit Applications"
Hit return or click the button labelled "Force Quit"
    2. Locate and mount the Flash Player Installer disk image with Disk Utility
Open Disk Utility (in Applications/Utilities folder or find it with Spotlight)
On the left hand side, your attached drives and mounted volumes are listed above a horizontal line. Below that line you should see one or more disk images (named e.g. something.dmg). These are recently accessed disk images - including one containing the adobe updater.
At or near the bottom of that list you should see something called decryptedFile.dmg
Under that you might see a (greyed out) volume image called Flash Player
Double click decryptedFile.dmg (or the Flash Player volume if you can see it - it makes no difference).
This should mount a volume titled "Flash Player" and automatically open a finder window showing the contents.
The volume "Flash Player" will show up in your Finder sidebar and on your desktop (unless you've chosen not to show External Disks in Finder preferences)
    3. Locate the Adobe Flash Player installer package and run the installation from Finder
You should by now have a Finder window open showing the contents of the volume "Flash Player". If not, open a new Finder window and click on Flash Player in the sidebar. The sole contents are an app called Install Adobe Flash Player.
Right click the item "Install Adobe Flash Player" and select "Show Package Contents" from the contextual menu that appears.
This opens a new window showing a folder called "Contents". Open it by double clicking to reveal the contents including a folder called "Resources".
Locate and open the folder "Resources" and look for a file called Adobe Flash Player ("Adobe Flash Player.pkg")
This is the Installer Package for the update. Double Click it.
Don't be put off by the words "Welcome to the Adobe Flash Player Installer" - this is not the Adobe Flash Install Manager (the one that failed you earlier) this is Apple's "Installer" app.
Follow the steps to the end then eject the volume Flash Player in the normal way (e.g. Finder sidebar)
Open the Flash Player control panel to check the current version has now been updated.
Don't be put off by "PPAPI Plug-in is not installed" - you can ignore it.
Some steps may go differently if you are running a different version of Mac OS X ( I use 10.6.8 and wrote my guide accordingly).

  • Flash player won't install in windows 7

Flash player won't install in windows 7
This is what I get when trying to use "FLASH PLAYER HELP", as you can see, my flash player and OS are NOT listed and when asked on left side of screen if "THIS WAS HELPFUL", I clicked NO and could not complete my response.
HOW DO I FIX THIS??? THERE ARE SEVERAL ITEMS THAT REQUIRE FLASH PLAYER & I CANNOT GET IT TO WORK. AFTER DOWNLOADING (AT LEAST4 TIMES) IT SAYS EVERYTIME "INSTALLATION SUCCESSFUL"

Download the offline installer from http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player- windows.html#main-pars_header and save it to disk, then close all browser windows and run the downloaded installer.

  • Flash player won't play on home pages

My flash player won't play on my browser's home pages.  My OS is : windows 7 64 bit ultimate and my browsers are :  Mozilla,Chrome, and IE.  I have owned this machine since laborday 2012 and all of them worked in the begining.  This has been going on for a couple of weeks and I would like to resolve it.  Video works normally in places such as youtube, but will not run on the browsers home pages.  The strange part of it is that it will run the advertisements, but after that is done it will just set there with the loading icon going for awhile until a message come on that states that the stream could not be found.  I just got done checking each browser to see if the players are up to date and they all where current..  Don't know what else to try.  Any suggestions ?  Thanks

Flash player works on https web sites but not on http web sites ?
I've tryed a lot of things to solve this problem but impossible to find the solution.
    - re-instal flash player
    - disable the firewall (windows)
    - disable the firewall and the antivirus (bitdefender)
I test my computer on an other internet provider and everything works correctly
I test an other computer on my internet connection and everything works correctly.
The problem comes from my computer on my internet connection.
    I'll appreciate a solution.
    Thank you.

This is what you should see under "plugins" in Opera:
Make sure Flash Player is listed and enabled.
It comes from the same place as the plug-in for Firefox, so one won't work if the other doesn't.
If that doesn't work, try a clean install. http://forums.adobe.com/message/4041846

  • Mozilla won't display web cam feed from web site

Mozilla won't display web cam feed from web site: http://www.fs.usda.gov/wps/portal/fsinternet/!ut/p/c4/04_SB8K8xLLM9MSSzPy8xBz9CP0os3gDfxMDT8MwRydLA1cj72DTUE8TAwjQL8h2VAQAMtzFUw!!/?ss=110803&navtype=BROWSEBYSUBJECT&cid=fsm9_029107&navid=091000000000000&pnavid=null&position=Not%2520Yet%2520Determined.Html&ttype=detailfull&pname=Chattahoochee-Oconee%2520National%2520Forest-%2520Home
I have the latest Java software and can load the above feed in IE but not Mozilla. I can also load a similar Java feed from
http://www.brmemc.net/brasstown/ in both IE and Mozilla.

(Glad to see you're still lurking around here, Wyrenut.  Your posts have helped me tremendously.  And this comes form somebody who has run and internal developer's support group for quite a few years.)
I also started having this problem after getting my TX hooked up through my home network.  I had to set up a wireless access point with only WPA security to get around having to change the WPA2 security on all my other equipment.  I applied the ESU upgrade, but that didn't seem to help with WPA2 Personal.  Previously, I could get at least half of the pages to come up through the open hotspot in the lobby of our building at work, but I haven't tried that since I applied the ESU upgrade this morning.
I can get to the internet through the access point using a laptop, and I can see the IP address of the Palm coming through the access point on the router's admin page, and the DNS addresses of the PC and the Palm are the same.  So I think I'm through, but every page I try gets the 'Page not available' message, even if I enter the IP address of the page rather than the URL.
Is there any other method of debugging available to see if the page is really coming back and locking up Blazer, or whether it's really not coming back at all?  Or any other suggestions?
Personally, I sort of liked the old Internet Explorer that counted off how many K were coming through as the page was being loaded.  At least you could tell something was happening.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Flash Player won't stop asking to install.

I'm using windows 7 and Mozilla firefox, but this problem happens even when I don't have a browser window opened.
Adobe flash player won't quit asking to install. probably once a minute i receive a (UAC)request to allow adobe flash player to install. Even with no browser windows open. EVEN WHILE I AM WATCHING FLASH VIDEOS, it is telling me to install it. It literally interupts everything I am doing, even when I'm not browsing the internet.
I currently have it completely uninstalled as far as i know. I used the adobe uninstaller available on this site. So there's no flash player or shockwave player installed on my computer... still receiving this request every minute or so.
    It's ridiculous.
I tried running a virus scan, because thats the only thing I could possibly think of that would be this irritating, and it says that my computer is clean.
Is there some secret files somewhere I need to delete? I'm thinking of deleting the activex install files. I keep getting "The ActiveX Installer (AxInstSV) service entered the running state." in my event viewer, which seem to coincide with this issue.

I finally got it fixed but I'm not sure what fixed it.
    here's everything i did:
    Uninstalled all browsers.
    Uninstalled all adobe stuff.
    Uninstalled Java
Deleted anything left behind (i left browser stuff though because i wanted it to save my passwords and such).
disabled activexsvinst or something service. The activex installer service.
Used CC cleaner to clean up registry
Made sure to delete almost everything in user/local/temp folders and such (where adobe and java store stuff usually. I dunno might want to be careful doing this cause i dont know if there's important files there. Also some folders won't let you delete it but that just means you have to go inside the folder and select all then delete. The only file that should be in one of thosetemp folders is like fxsapidebug or something, in my opinion.)
    rebooted
    ran CC cleaner again.
    rebooted
not sure if this helped but i also used HIJACKTHIS and uninstalled some browser helpers that didnt get deleted. In particular there was an adobe one i think. Cant really remember tho. Now that i look at hijackthis again, it couldn't have been this because the browsers helper stuff is still there.
I also ran about 500000000 virus scans with multiple scanning programs and none of them detected anything.
I've reinstalled Mozilla and flash and haven't had any problems since.
Hope this helps anybody else with the same problem.

  • Photos won't save to camera roll

Since I installed iOS7, all the pictures I take with the camera won't save to camera roll. I see them in the lower corner of the camera but when I click on it, they are not in the camera roll. In the camera roll, I just have a bunch of pictures that I deleted months (or years!) ago. I uninstalled my profile and reinstalled it two or three times with always the same result.
    All the settings are ok.
I installed the profile of a friend on my phone to test it and everything works fine with his profile.
Anyone can help me out with this issue?

bluetooth is an APPLE issue: they have blocked many of the 'normal' bluetooth features on 'other' handsets..
an example you may be thinking of is Sharing a photo via Bluetooth .. simple everywhere else, but can not be done on iphone
-you have to use it via an app such as iphoto, or send it attatched via an email, from the iphone.
    stupid, annoying, yes.

Seem to have tried everything. i.e. chrome, firebird, archived flash players, etc. All not supported. Any insight??? It started when I tried to upgrade current flash player and it said I needed to uninstall current version, which I did, and then it wouldn't download the current one giving me the not supported story! Please help!!!!!!

Hi Andy, that is correct, they don't support PPC Macs anymore.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,
    Download this if you haven't...
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.6 4_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!
    Or smaller here...

Use the appropriate download links in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/909550
If you are on a 64-bit system, use the 64-bit installer(s); you will then also be able to use Flash under the 64-bit version of Firefox: Waterfox.
