Flash player works on all other browsers besides Safari (6.1). OS is still mountain lion, any suggestions?

Ever since I updated to Safari 6.1, nothing using flash works. It is up to date and will work on all other web browsers.

Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Advanced tab.
Click Delete All under Browsing Data and Settings
Not empty the Safari cache.
From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.
Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar
Now click Develop from the menu bar. From the drop down menu click Empty Caches.
Now try a video.

Sometimes, sites divide their content and login logic over multiple servers. In that case, the sites may not recognize that you have logged in if you block third party cookies. Can you check your cookie settings, as described in this article: [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]].
During your earlier troubleshooting, did you try the site in Firefox's Safe Mode to rule out an extension as the potential culprit? More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled ''(Flash and other plugins still run)''
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset)

The JS statement document.getElementsByName("PME_data_myfield").item(0).outerHTML=""; is not executed in FF, it works on all other browsers

I am trying to remove an input element from a form with the above statement in a javascript. It works on all other browsers but not on FF. It does not generate an error either. Instead of removing the item it just seems to be ignoring the statement.
I remove the element with the above statement and then re create a new one with document.createElement. In FF it duplicates the element.

Firefox only supports innerHTML and not outerHTML, so you need to use other code for Firefox.

Empty the Safari cache...
Command + Option + E on your keyboard.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try to re position an image on FB.

I was out of town for a few days. I had no issue installing the driver on Mountain Lion (10.8.2). What specifically happens when you try to install?

No video play back. Works in ALL other browsers... Help

Example: I can not get a video to play in FoxNews (stop with the "I hate Fox stuff").
The video will play in all other browsers. However, YouTube videos play fine in Safari 5.0.4.
I have reset Safari, I have used Snow Leopard Cash Cleaner to reset EVERYTHING.
I have set Safari to 32bit mode, and 64bit mode. Same results. No video. No sound. Just a black box where the video should be.
PS: I have used all of the available modes in the DEVELOP area. Still nothing.
Any ideas?

Hi,
From your Safari menu bar click Safari / Preferences then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that off, restart Safari. Try a video.
Extensions such as Incognito and YouTube5 will prevent Flash content from loading.
Your profile indicates are you running v10.6.6. If that's the case, there are updates available. Click your Apple menu (top left in your screen) then click Software Update...

Vertical Spry Menu-IE alters positioning. How do I fix this? Works in all other browsers correctly.

I've recently uploaded a new website and am having a glitch with internet explorer with the vertical spry menu. It appears perfectly in all other browsers. I had added css rules to move up some of the longer submenus so they would all appear on the screen without needing to scroll down on the main page to view them. In internet explorer, it positions the top menu item, but the rest of the list does not follow in suit. Any ideas? This is super frustrating! Thanks!

I see now and it's really a little crazy, because the menus are there, just not where they should be.
I still need to investigate the matter thoroughly a little more closely, because I never saw it till now. Too bad that Gramps has not seen the thread, I'm convinced he will do the trick immediately! Flash player 11 crashing all my browsers.

I wonder if I updated my flash player from 10 to 11 recently and reinstalled firefox. Then I start getting this error whever I access to any website with flash content. I thought it was a facebook plugin problem. But I don't think so because I can access facebook.com without problems. Now all flash content are blank. So I uninstall it with an uninstaller, restart computer, and reinstall flash player 11. The error would come up and then freezes. I tried reverted to flash player 10, now I get the same problem.
This error comes up at Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Camino. None of the browsers could play flash content.

I got my own problem solved since nobody on this forum seem to have anything in common.
Just want to share this because this has being causing me a lot of problems:
1. Adobe Flash Player won't work after install on all browsers.
2. An Unresponsive script warning came up every time I accessed any websites with flash content or facebook's "like" button that requires sending data to facebook.
3. Can't watch all online TV streaming that uses flash player.
Anyway. Problems solved 99% after I installed AdBlock Plus add on in Firefox and add a new filter to block anything that is under these locations:
1. Facebook.com/ai.php?
2. Facebook.com/plugins/recommendations.
Now, no more freezing when accessing any websites with flash content and facebook plugins. Can watch online TV streaming and play games.

Flash Player Crashes In All Web Browsers

Dear Adobe,
For months now when ever I visit a site that uses flash, wever it be in Google Chrome, Internet Explorer 9 or Mozilla Firefox. Within about 5 minutes the page I am on will crash and report to me that, the flash plugin / player has crashed. It does this without fail, every time I go online. I mostly play zynga games on facebook. I also use fullscreen whenever possible, and always using the latest version of flash thanks to the cool flash updater.
I have just today checked and updated to the latest nvidia graphics drivers with a clean installation.
I followed advice about disabling hardware acceleration and going through the steps for uninstalling Flash, and emptying the folders associated with it. Sadly though the problem still remains.
I would love for this long time problem to be resolved!
My system is Windows 7 64-Bit, with an Nvidia Geforce 7600gs.

There must be something specific about your system that is causing this to happen. We'd like to investigate further. I had this exact problem too. Unlike IE, firefox wasn't scaling the video to fit into the height and width I defined. As a result the controls were disappearing off the bottom.
I found that by making the height of the window 50px larger than the videos native height, the controls were displayed permenantly. Since the other browsers scale the video to fit the window, this solution works for them all.

Youtube has no page style in Firefox, but works on all other browsers.

Since yesterday I have not been able to use Youtube. Not only does the site itself have no page style, but Youtube videos embedded on other sites don't show up either. Youtube works fine on the other browsers I've tried (IE, Chrome, and Opera). I've already checked, I don't have page styles disabled for Youtube.

i have incluided all the c.tld and fmt tlds in WEB-INF/lib .. Remove them. They don't belong there. Do not extract the contents of JAR files in there.
and also jstl.jar and standard jar has alos been included there .. That's sufficient. Next to this all you need to do is to declare the JSTL core taglib in the top of the JSP page.
