Flash plugin created not working in flash player 10.1 (release - not beta)

Hello, i wrote a plugin using flash (you can click on the preview button to see it):
http://activeden.net/item/shiny-plugin/94112
It worked perfectly on all the previous flash player versions and in the new flash player 10.1 you can see the effect.
Actionscript wise -  it draws lines at various angles and then apply gradient glow on them.
If you re-install the previous version the plugin works again. any clue why is it happing? Thanks.

    Hello, All of your Flash Player files are correct and the add on also. Thanks for the screenshots.
    Something may be in the browser that may be conflicting. Or go to Tools, Internet Options and click on the Security Tab and make sure it is set at Medium for Internet Zone.
    Does NOD32 have any add ons in the manage add ons? Look under "Show" in all 4 categories and also the Toolbars & Extensions also. Try to Disable any and see if that helps.
    Skype , RealPlayer or Quicktime can sometimes cause problems, their add ons.
    If you have any adblock or pop up blocker I would turn it off for now.
    I will check back tomorrow.
    Thanks,

    Flash Player Beta Channel Update
    The latest Flash Player 11.9 builds are now available.  You can download Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayerbeta.
    New Features:
    Safe Mode in Safari 6.1 and higher
    Safari 6.1 includes an updated version of Safari with Safe Mode, which implements new security restrictions on the operation of browser plug-ins.  To the extent possible, we've adapted Flash Player to transparently handle these changes.  A small number of behaviors will change in the context of Safe Mode and are explained in the Known Issues section below.
    64-Bit PPAPI Flash Player for Chrome
    (Currently available in the Chrome Canary channel)
    Mac .pkg Installation Support
    Deploying Flash Player and keeping it up to date in enterprise environments is a critical task for system administrators worldwide. We’re introducing a new .pkg installer format for our distribution partners to reduce their workload.  Administrators can now deploy Flash Player for Mac using industry-standard management tools.
    Testing Guidance:
    This release focuses on enhanced premium video capabilities and new platform support.  We're looking for feedback on stability and compatibility with existing content on these new platforms.
    MacOS users should be testing with the lastest Mavericks Developer Preview (currently 3).  Feedback on content with complex scenarios involving localConnection, ExternalInterface/External API, and FileReference will be especially helpful.
    Known Issues:
    The following behaviors will be modified in Safari 6.1 and higher in Safe Mode:
    AIR Badge Installs - AIR Badge Installer will not launch an installer when running Safari 7 in Safe Mode.  Users will instead see a dialog with a link to more details and workarounds on an Adobe website.
    Adobe Connect Plug-In Install - The Connect Plug-In Express Install will no longer work on Safari 7 in Safe Mode.  Users will instead see a dialog with a link to more details on an Adobe website.
    Flash Player Global Settings - When a users launches the Global Settings menu from the Flash Player context menu on Safari 7 in Safe Mode, the user will be taken to the classic SWF-based preferences menu on an Adobe website, instead of the native Flash Player settings UI in the MacOS Control Panel.
    LocalConnection - When a LocalConnection is constructed from a SWF hosted in Safe Mode, it may only establish a connection with other SWFs also hosted in Safe Mode.  If a LocalConnection is constructed from a tab with Safe Mode disabled, it will not be able to communicate with a SWF in a Safe Mode tab.
    Developers can detect whether or not a SWF is running in Safe Mode by checking the Boolean ProductManager.isAllowed().  (This is currently unofficial, and it's possible that we may alter it during the API review process.)
    Notable Fixes and Enhancements:
    The ExternalInterface.call() issue introduced in 11.8.800.95 has been fixed.  The fix will also be included in the next 11.8 maintenance release. [3622360]
    HTTP Live Streaming - WebVTT - An issue where captions would be delayed after returning from an ad have been resolved  [3613440]
    HTTP Live Streaming - WebVTT - Corrects an issue where the caption would wrap around the video display when the specific font was too large [3615084]

    Flash Player Beta Channel Update
    Flash Player 11.7 builds are now available.  You can download Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayerbeta.
    Important Area for Testing Focus:  New Background Update Patch Mechanism
    This week's beta update includes a test of our new patch update mechanism for ActiveX and NPAPI Plug-In versions of Flash Player.  This mechanism reduces the download size of a typical Flash Player update by about 75%.
    Patches will only be downloaded and applied to systems running the latest current version of Flash Player (currently 11.7.700.141) and have selected Allow Adobe to Install Updates (Recommended).  Systems running any other version of Flash Player (i.e. 11.7.700.128) will continue to receive the full install.  Like the standard Background Update mechanism, patch installers include multiple cryptographic checks to validate the authenticity and integrity of the patch prior to application..
    This change should be transparent; however, if you do experience installation problems, please let us know.
    Notable Fixes and Enhancements
    3518265 - ChromeOS - Corrects an issue where DRM Error 3307 was being thrown erroneously when playing encrypted content
    3519465 - MacOS - Corrects an issue where DRM Error 3343 was being thrown erroneously when playing encrypted content.
    3475664 - Win8 - Context3D.drawToBitmapData() now works as expected when used with hardware acceleration and constrained mode.
    3496870 - [MS 1000949] Win8 Classic and Metro on ARM - Videos now render correctly on on24.com.

  • Help needed to install Flash Player : 'Non-Current Release' problem!

    I been encountering problems while trying to install Flash Player on my laptop running Windows 7.
    Originally Flash Player does not work as I understand it is not supported on 64-bit Internet Explorer.
    After installing 32-bit IE, the following issue of 'non-latest version' arises and all installation were aborted by the application :
    The below were steps I had taken to no success.
    1.  Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded flash player un-install program and did the uninstallation with success.
    2.  Rebooted the laptop.
    3.  Via the 32-bit browser, downloaded the flash player version 10.0.45.2 from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer.
    4.  After downloading it automatically did the installation with 100% completion.
    5. The program proceeded to activate the flash player with a webpage saying if the flash player is working properly, I should see a video and Flash Player's logo.
    6.  Before anything was displayed, an error message popped up to say I was trying to install a non-current version and that I should go to same webpage to download the latest version. The activation was then aborted.
    Tried many times but always encountered same problem and hence cannot proceed to use the flash player.
    Need assistance to diagnose the problem and to get Flash Player working on my laptop. Appreciate any help to get it working.
    Regards.

    Thanks to efforts of eidnolb and Bob, the installation of flash player into my laptop is now working .
    Bob's installer enabled the download successfully.
    Eidnolb's link in post 6 trigggered me that I may have previously installed the pre-release version 10.1, thereby leading to the 'non-current-version' problem too. Post in that link adviced to uninstall 10.1 using the pre-release uninstaller.
    I suggest others who had encountered this non-current release to uninstall first using that specific uninstaller, before attempting to install the most current release. I may have installed the 10.1 pre-release in desperation after failing numerous times trying to figure out why flash player does not install in browser not knowing its currently-non-support of 64-bit browser.
    Once again thanks for support, eidnolb and Bob.
    Cheers.
    Kelvin

  • Adobe Flash Player 11.4.400.252 Beta 2 (IE 10 Desktop)

    Hello Folks,
    after having failed in all known methods to uninstall a Flash® Player release I come here asking for any suitable help.
    What kind of help?
    I'd like to know how to uninstall Flash® Player 11.3.370.178 ActiveX (x86) from Windows 8 CP with ALL "Windows 8 Apps" (formerly known as "Metro style design") disabled, in order to install the 11.4.400.252 Beta 2 release (Active X, for IE 10 Desktop).
    No problem at all with the Beta 2 plugin for other browsers than IE.
    If someone can give me any word different from "You failed simply because you cant" he'll be welcome.
    Regards.
    John

    Any way to get rid of the Flash Player's MicroSoft Update?
    I'd like to have the full control over the software installed on my OS (Win8 in this case), disliking the MS decision: we'll decide on your behalf.
    If i wanna install and try a Beta release for the Flash Player it's up to me not to MS or Adobe.
    Otherwise what the Beta releases are for if I cant test 'em where I'd like to?
    Regards.

    Hey Chris, thanks for all the keeping up with us and stuff.  I have an issue and i'm not sure if this was already discussed (if so sorry). Windows 8 IE 10 I'm getting an error tying to downgrade my customers to the beta.  The message i'm getting is
    The installation encountered errors:
    Your Microsoft Explorer browser includes the latest version on the Adobe Flash Player built-in. Windows Update will inform you when new versions of Flash Player are available.
    I have done my research and I cannot find how to fix this issue.  I have ran the uninstaller multiple times and restarted blah blah all the goodies.  It will not let me install the beta.
    Please help..... any idea how to get beta running on hundreds of my customers machines?
    The beta work's great it seems like and I wouldn't mind installing the beta on all their machines till the final release (which seems like a few weeks away)
    Thanks again, Tim

    Flash Player Beta Channel Update
    Flash Player 11.7 builds are now available.  You can download Flash Player here: http://www.adobe.com/go/flashplayerbeta.
    Important Area for Testing Focus: New Background Update Patch Mechanism
    Flash Player 11.7 beta includes a test of our new patch update mechanism for ActiveX and NPAPI Plug-In versions of Flash Player. This mechanism reduces the download size of a typical Flash Player update by about 75%.
    Patches will only be downloaded and applied to systems running the latest current version of Flash Player (currently 11.7.700.141).
    About the Beta Channel
    Beta Versions of Flash Player are now available for automatic installation via our Background Update service. Please subscribe to automatically install or receive update availability notifications at runtime.
    If you would like real-time notification for announcements related to the Flash Player Beta Channel, please subscribe to our Twitter feed @FlashPlayerBeta, or Follow the Flash Player Beta forums by choosing Follow This Forum from the right-hand menu on the Forums page.

    Notable Fixes and Enhancements
    This build makes a change to the Background Update service in preparation for a subsequent test of a fix to the new Patch Installer mechanism over the next couple days.
    We encourage everyone to update to this release. A wide distribution is especially important to this feature for ensuring we release the best possible implementation.

    Then kindly provide a solution, if you are not providing a solution you are part of the problem!

  • Flash player Crashing in Firefox 6 Beta

    the Adobe Flash player is regularly crashing in Firefox 6 beta I have the latest version updated, so whats the problem?

    Yeah, I've been having this issue too. It wouldn't be such a bother if all it was was a simple refresh away, but with that god damn poorly coded plugin container in tow it causes my computer to drag it's feet so bad that it nearly crashes the whole damn thing. I'll give them a little time to fix it, but Chrome is looking nicer and nicer all the time.

  • NetStream.send not working in Flash Player 11.2 Beta with Cirrus, Please confirm if it is a bug

    Title
    NetStream.send not working in Flash Player 11.2 Beta with Cirrus, Please confirm if it is a bug or feature
    Description
    Problem Description:
    NetStream.send can not send data to peerstreams when using with cirrus. Conflict with documents.
    Sorry for tag the build as 11.0.1.3 while the bug is actually on 11.2 beta since the bug report system didn't have 11.2 beta yet.
    If you are not responsible for 11.2 beta bug fix, please help a hand to handle this bug to 11.2 team.
    This bug is "killing" to your application, so we really appreciate your help. Thanks.
    ==Publisher==
    nc.connect("rtmfp://");
    var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc, NetStream.DIRECT_CONNECTIONS);
    ns.publish("sendtest");
    ...//after connection success.
    ns.send("clientfunction", "ok"); // this line cannot reach subscribers. even if subscribers have client object correctly.
    ==Subscriber==
    nc.connect("rtmfp://");
    var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc, cirrusid);
    var client:Object = new Object();
    client.clientfunction = clientfunction; // target function
    ns.client = client;
    ns.play("sendtest");
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. compile the code in the attachment to SendTestExample.swf (not be able to paste it here)
    2. run it under flash player 11.2.202.19 beta
    3. run it under flash player 11
    Actual Result:
    HeartBeat is:
    Start HeartBeat:
    send hello
    send hello
    send hello
    which means NetStream.send was not able to call "clientfunction" as expected.
    Expected Result:
    Start HeartBeat:
    send hello
    in client function: hello
    send hello
    in client function: hello
    send hello
    in client function: hello
    which can call into the clientfunction as flash player 11 did.
    Any Workarounds:
    I can not find it out since it's an api level bug. But this can be very important for lots of applications which rely on send to do rpc.

  • Publish for Flash Player 11, video events not working

    I have a Flash project that I'm publishing in Flash Player 11 in hopes having better animation results with Flash Player 11's better rendering capabilites.
    However, my AS3 Video Events are now throwing errors. These two Event listeners throw the error.
    "Access of possibly undefined property COMPLETE through a reference with static type Class"
    "Access of possibly undefined property PLAYING_STATE_ENTERED through a reference with static type Class."
    videoOverlay_mc.video_mc.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, fnc_endOfVideo)
    videoOverlay_mc.video_mc.addEventListener(VideoEvent.PLAYING_STATE_ENTERED, fnc_videoStart);
    If I publish as Flash Player 10.x the events & listeners work fine.
    I've been trying to find documentation on Flash Player 11 and what video events to use. Does anyone know where I can find this?
    The API's still shows the videoEvents, http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/fl/video/VideoEvent.htm l
    Thanks in advance for your reply,
    Zak

    Kglad,
    My apologies. I rushed my reply.
    This worked:
    videoOverlay_mc.video_mc.addEventListener(fl.video.VideoEvent.COMPLETE, fnc_endOfVideo);
    videoOverlay_mc.video_mc.addEventListener(fl.video.VideoEvent.PLAYING_STATE_ENTERED, fnc_videoStart);
    function fnc_videoStart(evt:fl.video.VideoEvent):void {
    function fnc_endOfVideo(evt:fl.video.VideoEvent):void {
    I had to put the full event path in the function parameter as well otherwise I got a "Ambiguous reference to VideoEvent compile error".
    Thanks a lot for your help.
    Zak

    Hi Mike,
    First of all, thank you so much for responding and sorry I forgot to mention my CPU; fortunately I **DO** have the 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor so I could upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard.  Two Questions:
    1. Do you know whether Snow Leopard sold by Apple is an upgrade or "clean install?"  If it's not a clean install, do you know (off-hand) if there are any upgrade issues?  I'm very partiall to a clean install.
    2.  Why does Adobe state (for updating Flash Player 10.3 when Adobe knows that [most likely] the 10.3 versions run on Mac OS 10.5.x?  See statement and link below...

    http://blogs.adobe.com/flashplayer/2013/05/extended-support-release-updated-to-flash-playe r-11-7.html
    We’re happy to announce that we are updating the version of our extended support release to Flash Player 11.7 on Mac and Windows. Flash Player 11.7 will replace version 10.3 as the extended support version beginning July 9, 2013.
    In order to continue receiving security updates, an upgrade to either Flash Player 11.7, or the standard Flash Player 11.8 release is required.
    Flash Player 11.7 provides exciting new features, including Actionscript concurrency, webcam support for StageVideo and more. It also enables Protected Mode for FireFox on Windows, a sophisticated security-in-depth feature. With Protected Mode, Flash Player runs as restricted process, making it more difficult for attackers to build working exploits. Click here to learn more.
    Flash Player 11.7 leverages hardware acceleration for audio, video and rendering to increase performance and lower CPU usage.
    To ensure the smoothest possible transition, we encourage IT organizations deploying Flash Player 11.7 in managed environments to thoroughly test audio and video playback for critical use-cases using the latest available version before deploying this release widely. When hardware-related playback and stability problems do arise, updating to the latest hardware drivers frequently resolves these issues.As a secondary workaround, the Flash Player Administrator’s Guide details mechanisms for disabling hardware and audio acceleration via mms.cfg.
    We have been hard at work to make Flash Player better than ever, and we look forward to continuing to serve you with a great web experience.

  • Download Flash Player 10.2.153.1 (not 10.3) for Windows 7, 64 bit

    I would like to download Flash Player 10.2.153.1 for Windows 7 (64 bit). I have downloaded the zipped file in the archives section. However I do not know the file that I am supposed to click on to open the executable program file for Windows 7, 64 bit operating system. The downloaded file, for example, contains application files which are: _win, _win_sa, _winax. Do any of these apply? What about the updates so far (excluding 10.3) for this version?
    I do not wish to download 10.3 until many of the issues have been resolved.
    Many thanks.

    Hi, just a bit of info. If you've already downloaded the Archived FP zip file for 10.2.153.1, then the extracted file you need for IE is 10_2r153_1_winax.exe. That is the Installer. You can check the readme.txt file, then open the folder  that contains the FP platforms and you'll see it there.
    Also if you've had a Flash Player version newer than that Installed,  you'll need to refer to this:
    Installing an Older Version:  http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/402/kb402435.html
    Follow the normal procedure of rebooting after Uninstalling your current version before Installing the 10.2.153.1. Then a reboot after Installing.
    Thanks,
    eidnolb
                        P.S. There would be no updates for this vs. as Flash Player "updates" by releasing a new version.
