Flash Plugin not getting installed for Mozilla Firefox

Hello There!
I am webmaster of Blogingrace. I have been using mozilla firefox browser and it has asked to update my flash player with its recent version. As soon as I click on the link a setup file of 989 Mb is getting downloaded and when I click install it is saying intialization failed. I tried to download again and the same message is repeated.

That is whenever opening the site, the flash content is not displayed. It asks to click the activate button. I just checked and found that this flash problem is not specific to my website but in general (youtube as well).
Let me put the screen shot of the same.
Any permanent solution to this. Let me check if I can delete the old plguin and download it again to solve this issue.
The problem seems to be because of compatibility problem of firefox with flash.

Web proxy settings not getting affected for Mozilla Firefox

I have an ISA Server setup as a web proxy in our domain environment . I have changed the proxy settings to the address of the new web proxy server for all the users in the domain by using group policy . Even the connection tab on the internet options have been disabled so that users wont be able to view the settings thereby preventing them from changing the proxy settings . Flash Player won't install for my firefox...

I have the latest version of firefox. I had to uninstall flash because it wasn't recent. On the flash page, I was following the instructions for the uninstall, which went fine. Now I am trying to follow instructions for the re-install, and it's not working. I click download, and then click "run" and then say "yes" when it asks to make changes to the computer. (I'm an administrator) Then the flash box comes up and it has like a preparing to install bar that loads fine, but then it gets stuck on the "retrieving install" and the bar just sits at zero percent until a message comes up that an error occured. It will stay up until I finally just exit out of it, and then it'll take me to a troubleshooting flash page. The trouble shooting page doesn't help at all, because apparently this normally isn't a problem! Does anyone know what to do?

"Classic ReTweet Button For Mozilla Firefox" is not working on Twitter. Anybody else having this problem?

I have written extensively about this "Classic Retweet Button For Mozilla Firefox" and have it installed on all my computers and laptops. It does not seem to be working. Did Twitter disable this sometime over the weekend and this is another of their tricks to force people to use their crappy retweet button? Or is this just a temporary glitch? Just updated to latest version , getting started with Mozilla Firefox opens everytime not homepage , how do I get rid of unwanted page

I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox , when I hit the icon and firefox opens the first page that comes up is the Getting started with Mozilla Firefox and not my home page , I have checked everything I could find and nothing keeps this page from opening like it's my home page . also I unloaded download helper for the same reason , it keep opening up wanting me to upgarde to the latest version , I already had upgraded , I don't know what is going on , My home system was upgraded early last week and works fine , I double checked all setting between the two systems , nothing , Please let me know where to look , thank you , a longtime fan of Firefox.

You should take a look at the Knowledge Base article [[How to set the home page]].
There are steps in that article to reset your homepage preferences to default. I would try that first to clear out any strangeness. Then you can set your homepage to anything you like.

Hi, You might want to review the Troubleshooting Guide as it has been updated and a lot of new information is now included. If you prefer you can use the Manual Installer for IE which you'll see there. A lot of the questions that I would ask are listed also.

I am a selenium tester and my test fails on moxila due to following issue,
Value property not getting updated for edit on firefox thats why failing the script while identifying the object from xPath.
The test case run fine on IE.
I want to identify the object by its xPath saying value = "Some value"
I can not check thousands of object by looking in to its value attribute property.

I'm not sure whether we can solve your question here. We are mostly supporting the released version of Firefox (Firefox 20) for regular use rather than old versions in a test harness. You might need to reach out to the [https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!forum/selenium-users Selenium Users Group] if you can't replicate the problem in Firefox 20.

My flash plugin not installed

I have windows 7 and i m usinf internet explorer . I did installed new version of flash player but everytime I start game or play video screen says need to install new version or flash plugin not installed ....I tried couple thing and also uninstall and reinstalled again and restart ,my computer too but still dont know what is the problem please advise

Can dld newer versions of Frfx but they are not getting installed?

I am able to dld newer versions of firefox but they are not getting installed ... Currently 'about firefox' shows my version to be 27.0.1 but when I go into the troubleshooting option it shows I have version 28.0 and 29.0 in my update history. Please advise. Thanks

Obviously I have seen your post, and sorry you are having problems. Unfortunately this is likely to be because you did not take enough care on the Internet. It is all too easy to go to bad websites and pick up malware that once downloaded does things you may not like or expect.

Finding such adware may be problematic, after all it is either downright malware which will try its best to evade being found and uninstalled, or it is adware that a minority of people actually like and deliberately download and install, usually after clicking small print saying this will happen.
Suggestions to try to Uninstall or Remove Adware
First thing to try, check which search engine is selected ? Because this is so simple and could have an effect it is worth checking what Search engine is selected for the Firefox Searchbar. You may have changed that, or software may have,and that will affect other searches including those from the address bar and the start page. All you need to do is click the little downward pointing arrowhead in the search bar and check what is in use and what is available. In most countries Firefox uses Google by default.
Check the shortcut Icons - has an address been added ? Right click the icon on the desktop used to start Firefox has an address been tacked on to the end of that. If something has changed that Firefox goes to that address as it starts up. For comparison use a run command directly. In Windows & with Firefox not already open Use keyboard shortcut Winkey+Run then when you get the run option key in ''firefox.exe'' & hit return. That will run Firefox without any extra instruction.
Adware removal 
I you have got adware, or unwanted software especially if it also affects other browsers (So check the use of Internet Explorer) look for anything unexpected installed in the Windows OS, use the Windows Control Panel. especially if only Firefox is affected check what is installed as extensions and plugins by using the addons manager.

Using OSX 10.8 DW CS6 when I click "live" it says "flash plugin" "not found".

My default browser is Chrome. DW uses Chrome as the primary browser. (FFox is secondary.)
I do have Firefox and do not have Flash on it. I open Flash content Chrome, and I installed an HTML5 video viewer add-on in FFox (but haven't tried it yet).
I also have the Dreamweaver HTML5 Video View add-on, so why am I getting that message? Furthermore, the HTML code doesn't have any Flash objects. (The code is the source HTML from www.google.com page, without any changes.)
How do I make DW display the "Live" view of the code without giving me an error? (My end goal is to find out what google does when you enter something in the search box and hit the Enter key, actually, I'd like to see why the result of the search is displayed the way it is - default should be Web view, but Image view shows instead. I want Web to show!)

I'm sorry Phil, but you can't learn much from Google's source code because search engines are dynamically programed with behind-the-scenes code and content from databases that you can't see. You're just spinning your wheels here. If you want to learn how to make a search engine, I'd be happy to point you to some relevant PHP & MySql tutorials.

Adobe Reader Installation Instructions for Mozilla Firefox problem

hello. i am trying to finish installing adobe reader, however, i get this request: "Mozilla Firefox will not install Adobe Reader from web sites until you add them to the Allowed List. Please follow the steps below."
and here is where the problem begins, the first thing i am told to do is to: "1. Look for a yellow bar at the top"

It seems that Adobe DLM does not like the new firefox version I have tried on two machines, Vista 32bit and Winxp SP3, it quits on both machines between 60 and 94% (DLM crashes and shuts down) Manual install works
Is it just me ?
BEFORE any one says, I only use Firefox, I do not use Internet Exploiter (if I could convince the manufacturers of the install software I use to make a *nix or mac version I would get rid of M$ OS's

Microsoft Word Has Not Been Installed for the Current User

Hi, everybody
I'm just starting our attempt to put together ZfD app packages for MS Office 2007. I've tried 2 different route with poor results for each. I'm looking for guidance and suggestions and, hey really, the simple final solution. :)
Objectives: Each app package will install locally one of the Office apps (e.g., Word) if it is not installed and then launch it, otherwise it will launch it. It gets installed locally to the C: drive using all the MS default choices, but runs from the desktop ZEN/NAL shortcut. All desktops are XP, not Vista or W7.
Routes tried and failed...
1) Simple app, uses distribution and run scripts to figure out if already installed, then installs using network shared drive and config.xml file for just the one app. The result ought to work -- no particular error in the package, those are fixed -- but what happens is something different each time with the MS setup.exe, and it never does complete without its own error (various and different each time). So, this appears to be completely unreliable because launching MS's setup.exe from a simple app is unpredictable and incomplete.
2) Snapshot of a successful setup.exe and config.xml install. This ALMOST works... well it does in fact work but the snapshotted app gives an error once it finishes launching -- "Microsoft Word Has Not Been Installed for the Current User" -- and exits. From the research I've done on this message, the MS program sees the "wrong" Windows profile on the destination environment, compared to that in the snapshot, and figures it's now been installed from a bootleg copy of Office 2007.
At this stage all I can think of is expletives. We've paid for everything, I've followed all the usual and customary steps, played by the rules, been polite (and also used the necessary computer swear words), and now I just want to insult everyone in Microsoft's marketing department for ruining everyone's life yet again. Can't we just do this, is it too much to ask!?!
Please help me. What is really going to work for distributing and maintaining Office 2007 apps using our ZfD environment? ALL USEFUL SUGGESTIONS WELCOME. Thank you. Bless you.

Novell did not design Microsoft's Office Install.
I have nothing against snapshots, but it does not work great with the Office
installs, which you yourself know since you are posting here with problems
based on that.
And your other method you are trying with the break out is not working well.
We also know that from experience.
We can tell you that the way most people install it and the way most people
succeed doing it, is by doing it the way recommended and designed by
Microsoft.
ZEN does that just fine.

Custom Afaria Client not getting installed on IOS devices

Hello,
I am using Afaria SP4 in my organization with no hotfix applied
I have created a custom Afaria Client App for IOS devices.
I am succesfully able to enroll my IOS devices and install the custom app during enrollment,when i am trying to hit the system tenant.
However,when i am trying to hit manually created tenants,enrollment is
done and also the device is under MDM control,but custom Afaria client app is not getting installed during enrollment.
I have attached the screenshot of the page where i have uploaded the ios afaria application in Afaria console.
The error that i can see in the icu logs while enrolling ios device in manually created tenant is as follows-
"The manifest for the app at

Please guide to resolve the issue.

I'm quite sure you need to set this up per tenant. Have you tried to upload the custom client to each tenant ?
