Flash Pro CS6 download simulation mode

Hey there.
In Flash CS5 (worked with it on Windows) there was a mode to simulate the download of the swf (Test Movie -> View -> Simulate download) (for example to test the preloader) with different network connection options.
In CS6 (i don't know if the cause is the new CS6 Version or the Mac OS) there is no function like this (or just can't find
So please help.

As far as I know, you have the right string of interactions except there is a divide in them right after the Test Movie part... The Test Movie is done in the Flash IDE and the View -> Simulate Download is done in the Flash Player after the player window has opened.
That's right. So the problem isn't Flash Software but the Flash Player(Windows/Mac Version)?
Especially now i left my notebook (Windows, FlashCS5+CS6) at home, so i can test it just in some hours =(

  • Back button doesn't work in Flash Pro CS6 Simulator (ADL)

Hi everyone. I'm testing Flash Pro CS6, and I've noticed the Back button is not detected in my Android app when testing in ADL (Control / Test movie / In ADL Mobile).
When I try to select the option Device / Back (Ctrl+B) in ADL, it just doesn't do anything (I have a KEY_DOWN event listener which looks for the keycode Keyboard.BACK). In a real Android device, it works, but not in the "test movie" window (ADL). In CS5.5, the Back button always worked in ADL.
Also, in the new Simulator window which comes up when "testing movie", there are "Menu", "Back" and "Search" buttons for easier access. Well, that Back button doesn't do anything, either.
    Does anyone know what's happening?
BTW, I don't find the "Simulator" window too useful for my purposes. How can I disable it, so it doesn't automatically come up?
    Thanks!
Edit: Well, it seems the KEY_DOWN event listener doesn't work for any key, not only the Back button.

    WHOWWW...
    suitable for Flash Player 11.6
Back that down to as low a version as possible... 10 or so if possible.
My advice.... never... ever target the latest version of plugin... most users will NOT have that plugin installed.
Back it down and if that doesn't work, post a link to the actual Web page.

  • How to install latest AIR SDK (13 or 14) in Flash Pro CS6?

Hi, I'm using Adobe Flash Pro CS6 on Windows 7 64-bit and I wanted to add latest Adobe AIR SDK, either 13 or 14, but non of them is seen as a valid SDK by Flash.
I've tried downloading two possible SDKs (SDK & compiler and SDK without compiler) from here: Download Adobe AIR SDK (version 13) and here http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/air.html (version 14). Each time I copied the extracted SDK folder to my Flash CS6 folder where default 3.2 and 3.4 SDKs are located. After that I open Flash, then Help > Manage Air SDK, click on " + ", browse for the new folder, and all I get is "The selected folder does not contain a valid AIR SDK" warning message. It all looks the same with all four SDKs I downloaded!
Not long ago I added AIR 4.0 without any problems. What am I doing wrong? Is new SDK Flash CC only or what?

What are you naming the folder?
Just as a general tip, since many applications (Flash CS4, 5, 5.5, 6, CC) you can save some space by only putting the AIR SDK in one place. Since CS6 and CC have "Manage AIR SDK" in their settings you no longer need to locate that folder like 5.5 which requires you to overlay the AIR 2.6 folder. So save some space and put it anywhere out of the way, out of the Flash folder. I have multiple drives and I have lots of SDKs installed at root on my E:\ (E:\SDK\AIR, E:\SDK\JDK, E:\SDK\Android, etc). I then just go in the help panel like you do and point CS6 and CC to E:\SDK\AIR and they work perfectly fine with the latest SDK released recently.
Are you updating Flash Player to 13 as well?
Last, do not download the Flex version for Flash. Flex is for Flash Builder if you intend on using Flex (it is different than Flash).
    Do not get this:
You want the SDK from the big orange buttons above this warning.

  • Error installing Flash Pro CS6

I'm trying to install Flash Pro CS6 but I keep getting the following error (the message is in portuguese) after running the .exe file (downloaded directly from Adobe's oficial website).
I've tried it in 3 different computers with Windows 8 and in one computer with Windows 7 and all of them give me the same error. I'm using an Admin account so that's not the problem!

The problem is happening when I try to extract the downloaded files from the .exe to another folder. The application has all the permissions available
Here is another picture of the initial screen when I double click the .exe file.
I've tried to extract it to other folders, like "Documents", "Downloads", but It gives me the same error as before.

    Hi,
    I want to update Flash Pro Cs6 (PC Win7 64bit) to Update2.

    without any luck....

  • Flash Pro CS6 installation failed

I'm tried 4 times now to install Flash Professional CS6 using the Adobe Application Manager, which I downloaded from Creative Cloud. Every time I click "install", the progress bar gets to the end and then it says "Installation Failed". When I look at the details it reads: "The download appears corrupted. Press Cancel, wait a few minutes and try again (-60)". So I click cancel and try again and same thing happens.
    I'm on Mac OS X 10.7.4.
Guys seriously, every time I get stoked about a new Adobe product I'm usually let down by endless bugs and the hacks and hoops I have to jump through to get around them. Not a good start for Creative Cloud.
Can somebody from Adobe tell me what I need to do to install Flash Pro CS6?
    Thank you!
    Gabe Mastey

    Hey Steve,
In the end I had to download a trial just so I could get it working. Even though I was paying a monthly fee for Creative Cloud. Huge fail there. Later on, when I bought my new Macbook Air, everything worked fine with Creative Cloud, and I could download apps no problem. It probably had something to do with the fact that I had CS5.5 installed previously ..?.. though I will never really know. Maybe if you try removing all or even some of your old Adobe products and start fresh you might have better luck.
Oh Adobe, you are ever the disappointment.
    Good luck Steve!

  • Flash Pro CS6

What are the steps need to be taken after download the Adobe Flash Pro CS6? The tools have not been working properly without Adobe Technician remote control over and take a look at it  and do the stuff which i don't know : they are not available on the weekend and I have to finish my home.
    Kwiye

if you're having a problem with the flash pro tools, you can:
reset your preferences by holding down shift-ctrl-alt while starting flash pro.  if done correctly you'll see a confirmation dialog.
if that fails, reinstall flash pro.
if that fails, uninstall, clean and reinstall per these steps, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html

  • Flash Pro CS6 can't see a font Flash Pro CS5.5 CAN?

I just downloaded and installed the trial for Flash Pro CS6 so that I can use native extensions when exporting to iOS.  When I open my project, the "Font Mapping" pannel opens up and complains that "the document contains one or more fonts currently not available on your system".  The font is installed.  When I open the project in CS5.5 there is no issue.
I have tried delete to the fontlist.txt in the configuration folder but that didn't work ...
    Any ideas?

    Hi,
Could you try and recreate the whole of your preferences folder (and not only your fontlist.txt file) to see if it makes any difference?
    Here's how you do it:
    1. Launch apps
    2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt immediately before launching the first screen
    3. Pop up would appear to delete the prefrences
    4. Select  yes  from pop up
    5. launch again.

  • Why isn't the Adobe Exchange Panel opening in Flash Pro CS6?

It says it's installed but when I go to Window>Extensions>
and then there is nothing, no other menu to go from.

    Hi HunterOSx and Svagers,
How did you install the Adobe Exchange extension?
I would recommend downloading the latest updates for Extension Manager from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/
...and downloading the latest Adobe Exchange ZXP from www.adobeexchange.com (it was updated on Friday). Make sure that you open the ZXP with Adobe Exchange CS6 for it to be available in Flash Pro CS6. If you also have Extension Manager CS5 installed, it's possible that you've accidentally installed the panel into Flash Pro CS5.
Let me know how you get on.
    Best wishes,
    Fraser

  • Installation Flash Pro CS6, Windows 7 64 bit PC installation gets stuck

New download of Flash Pro CS6, first attempted to install on a PC running Windows 7 64 bit. The installation got stuck and unresponsive at the "Installing AdobeHelp" stage (approx 30% into the install.
I then tried the install on a PC running Windows XP 32 bit and exactly the same thing happened.
I am unable to proceed further - anyone got any advice?

OK, my response above was for the Windows 7 64 bit installation.
The advice to close the Adobe Help process was valid for the Windows XP 32 bit installation & installation is now complete.
I'll try a compatability install on the Windows 7 PC & see what happens.

  • Lag in AS Editor, Flash Pro CS6

I'm using Flash Pro CS6, and experiencing some major lag while typing in the AS editor (also in the Actions panel). There's anywhere from 0.5 - 3secs of lag between pressing a key and having the character appear on-screen, a major pain when trying to type quickly or holding down backspace.
Anyone know a solution? I've tried restarting, reinstalling, and running in compatibility mode for Win XP SP2, with no luck.
My system is an ASUS laptop, Win 7 64-bit, 256gb SSD, 16gb RAM, i7 CPU, and it's pretty new - no reason it should lag, and it runs high-intensity games fine. Also running Flash Pro CS6 12.0.2.529. I'm using AS3.
    Thanks!

Some Laptops have troble with the new Adobe Flash Professional CS6.  if it dose not stop laging you might want to think about getting a good tower.  or it could be that you have to meny things installed on your laptop and it using up all of your resorces, and you may just need to uninstall some other programes and then it might work.
ps. if this was helpful plz click that it was.
