Flash quits

I am encountering a problem with Flash MX2004.
When I boot the software it boots until the start page shows.
The start page shows for a couple of seconds and then Flash quits.
I have restarted the computer.. no luck. I have trashed the
preferences... no luck. I have repaired permissions... no luck. I
could not find any information regarding this issue. Any help
appreciated.
I am running on an iMac, OS 10.3.9 with 1gig ram.

hello zebop, I am having the same problems as you described ,
I realize its still early days as yet, but have you found any kind
of fix ? I'm running G5 quad (non-intel) with same OSX version
....

Man, I never seem to get a reply on here. So many posts after
me and yet no help. I'm going to try again.
I am encountering a problem with Flash MX2004.

Try again and watch the startup screen closely - it may be
the lower right corner - you will see
what is being "initiallized" - look for when the system fonts
are being initiallized - if that's
when it crashes, then you have a corrupt font. It's been
discussed several times here over the years
which is why I mention it - I dont have a mac so it's my only
best guess.

CS5 flash quits immediately upon opening

I'm using a brand new mac OSX I bought a couple months ago. Flash 'quit unexpectedely', which is fine once, but continuously? I lists a bunch of code in it's 'comments' but refuses to open. I can't do any work. I have not 'restarted' my computer, I'm in the middle of working on various things and shouldn't have to shut everything down just to open one program. I've only got PS and DW open but no other particularly large programs. What's up?

Flash quit working

here is my issue i had this working but then after adding the
news section to my page the flash quit working somewhere along the
way. this is a layerd web page. i think 7 layers. but anyways the
flash works fine while running locally but after uploaded to the
web server it does not work. like i said it worked fine before hand
but after adding another layer for the news.php it quit working. i
went back over the code line by line and could not find the problem
here is the code if any one could help that would be great. oh yeah
i am running dreamweaver cs3 if that matters.

What does that mean? What is not working as you expect?
If the code you pasted is the same as is served up from
http://nemisis83.free-site-host.com/index1.html
then I see your menu.swf and
it links to other pages successfully.
It does seem strange to me to see that "Layer5" and "Layer6"
are both loading
the same news.php into iframes in the same absolute position
- z-index
included. Why load news.php twice?

Flash quits on openin any fla

A few days ago my flash quits without any message on opening any fla. Even, if i start the program, opne a new document, save it empty, and try to reopen. Flash CS4 just wuits. I tried to uninstall and reinstall all. Didnt help. What can be the sollution?
on a 2.8 core 2 duo imac with 2gb ram.
on my home macbook everything is fine.

I reinstalled OS X from recovery mode and the problem went away.

MP4 Progressive through flash quit playing...HELP please

This has baffled me to know end. A few days ago my computer lost the ability to play any progressively downloaded .MP4 video through flash on the web. I have a whole site of videos that quit working for me. I can view videos encoded as .flv or .wmv on site like vimeo or youtube but if it is .mp4 extention the video just spins and never plays. I need to find a solution to this ASAP so if any one has any insight, I would be forever greatful! MP4s play fine locally on my machine or even through a direct link, just not through a progressive-dl flash player on the web.
I'm on a XP-64 machine with CS3 suites and quicktime installed.
Things I have tried.
-Restarting
-Uninstalling and reinstalling Flash
-Searching google for similar problems.

Flash quits when you close the window

Why does Flash CS5 quit when you close the window you were working in? It has to restart every time you close and open a file.

This doesn't seem to be a crashing issue. The program seems to be designed like Windows, wherein the application quits when you close the last open window. This is incredibly annoying and completely unacceptable.

Mac installing flash player, Flash quits unexpectedly when opened after download.

Can anyone help me with this? Flash has been in use on my mac for a long time, but when I updated to 11 version it never worked right, and kept using older version to play games etc.. and I updated to flash 12, the flash program quits unexpectedly when I open it after downloading it. It prompts to send error report to apple, and will not run flash player. I troubleshoot and have uninstalled all following those steps and still cannot run an installed file of flash. I tried to install earlier versions, 10.3 and others all quit unexpectedly version flash 9 is outdated and cannot be downloaded. I now have NO FLASH PLAYER at all and cannot figure out what is happening ! ANY INSITE would be apprecialted thank you

Doing the COCOA install isn't that tough.
Download the FULL Installer: Flash Player 12 Plug-in (Mac OS X)
Save the file and Quit Safari.
Double click the downloaded file
and it will mount on your desktop,
and open a window with the installer.
Right click the installer and choose "Show Package Contents"
In Contents/Resources, double click the Adobe Flash Player.pkg file
The installer will open. Follow the instructions.
It'll ask for your Admin password, and it will install.
It's just that easy.

Please Help! Flash quitting problem.

Hello All,
"Thank You" in advance for your help on this one.
Flash 8 is force quitting on my students whenever they add
actions to a movie and test it.
Does anyone know what could cause this?
We are using the new iMac’s with Intel processors.
Student accounts are managed via workgroup manager.

I had a similar issue on one button only on a flash project
that had been started on a PC, then taken to a Mac and worked on
more, then published. When I took it back to the PC and
republished, everything rectified itself... Was there any
cross-platform work going on? Might be a place to start.

Flash quits working when I restart my computer and I have to uninstall and reinstall every time

HELP! I've been working on this for 11 hours non-stop!
I have Windows 7 64bit. I'm using the newest Firefox browser. I install Flash and it seems to sort of work. It is in my Control Panel Uninstall programs with the Flash icon.
When I restart my computer and go to the Adobe site it shows that Flash isn't working. It's still in the Control Panel Uninstall programs BUT it has no icon. So I have to uninstall it and reinstall it to use it.
When I go to any Zynga.com games and right click on the game window the Flash window opens but when I click on Settings it freezes and I have too right click and left click a lot for it to go away. So I can't allow the site to use 100% of Flash to run on the site. Once in a while if I wait a few minutes Settings will open and I set it to 100% but when I go back and look at it later it says I am using 0%.
I have Norton 360 and have turned it off and uninstalled and reinstalled repeatedly only to have the same problem occur.
Before I installed Windows 7 and had Vista Ultimate it worked better but still not as good as it should have.
Also in my Firefox plugins Shockwave is there but no Flash plugin is ever there with Flash installed or uninstalled. Should Flash be there and where did Shockwave come from? Firefox?
Do I need Shockwave for Zynga or Facebook games? Or at all for that matter. I'll install it for no good reason as long as it doesn't screw something up.
After 11 hours of this Adobe HELL I am burnt! So ANY help is greatly appreciated!

Adobe flash quit working. Uninstalled. Will not download now.

Adobe flash player will not download. I don't remember it crashing, but it probably did. I uninstalled and have tried to re-install 5 times.

I show that it is downloading. But at that point it disappears from the Download window. I have gone to its file and tried to double click and download it that way, but it just won't finish the download process. I have tried everything. I guess I am going to take it into a geek I know and see if he can fix it. I'm tired of Firefox constantly (not responding), so I may have to go back to IE.
