Flash says already installed but it is not

As stated.  I was having problems viewing some videos and figured it may be a problem with flash.  I had the 32bit version but I am running windows 7 64bit.  So I uninstalled adobe flash from the computer using the control panel, then rebooted.  Now When I attempt to download the Flash 64bit from the website (using IE 9, 64bit) the program downloads, and once it begins to say installing it stops and I receive a message saying A newer version of adobe flash is already installed.  But it is not installed and does not exist anywhere I can find on my computer.
thanks for any help

Can't Update Pages to my iMac. it says "already installed" but! Pages says 4.3.

You have 2 versions of Pages on your Mac.
Pages 5.2 is in your Applications folder.
Pages '09/'08 is in your Applications/iWork folder.
You are alternately opening the wrong versions.
Pages '09/'08 can not open Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Older Pages 5 versions can not open newer Pages 5 files and you will get the warning that you need a newer version.
Pages 5 can open Pages '09 files but may damage/alter them. It can not open Pages '08 files at all.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5 the Pages '09 files can not be opened in Pages '09.
Once opened and saved in Pages 5.2 files can not be opened in Pages 5.
Anything that is saved to iCloud is also converted to Pages 5 files.
All Pages files no matter what version and incompatibility have the same extension .pages.
Pages 5 files are now only compatible with themselves on a very restricted set of hardware, software and Operating Systems and will not transfer correctly on any other server software than iCloud.
Apple has removed over 95 features from Pages 5 and added many bugs:
    http://www.freeforum101.com/iworktipsntrick/viewforum.php?f=22&sid=3527487677f0c 6fa05b6297cd00f8eb9&mforum=iworktipsntrick
Archive/trash Pages 5, after exporting all Pages 5 files to Pages '09 or Word .docx, and rate/review it in the App Store, then get back to work.

  • How do I install an app when the app indicates it is already installed, but it is not?

I am trying to install NFL 2011, but the app store indicates this app is already installed,  but it is not.   The "install" button is already faint.

Have you checked all your homescreens and folders for it, and if you type in its name on the spotlight search screen (slide the first homescreen to the right) does that find it ? If you've got the maximum number of screens full (which I think is 11) then you can only access the extra apps via the search screen.
Also, depending on whether the app has an age rating, have you set restrictions via via Settings > General > Restrictions.
Another option is a reset and then see if it appears after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • I re-installed Mountain Lion from a USB stick, and now my Apps can't be downloaded.  The App store indicates that the Apps are already installed, but that is not the case. Now what :)

I re-installed Mountain Lion from scratch of a USB stick, and now my Apps in the App store ca not be installed, the App store indicates that they are already installed, but that is not the case.  Now what?

Ok, this is somewhat of a better work around I've found:
Starting in the Australian iTunes store, I go through the process of signing into the UK iTunes store up until the point it asks for my credit card information.
I then click the 'X' in the top left of iTunes to exit the store.
Now when I click on my Apps Updates button it shows me what UK Apps I have that are available to update.
You can't download these as at this point I've changed the store I'm viewing, but haven't officially switched accounts. Not to worry.
I write down the names of the UK Apps to update.
Then, use the 'search store' field in the top right of iTunes to search for one of the Apps.
Once you've found it, click to buy it / download it.
iTunes recognises that the App is already in your account and downloads it again for free….
… now I'm HOPING that that App is now fully within my Australian account… unfortunately only time will tell once there is a new update for it.
    I'll let you know.

  • İt says ibooks installed but it is not..

This is quite frustrating because i cannot install iBooks...there is no possibility because it says it is already installed whereas it is not! Since there is no icon, i cannot use it but iPad acts as if it is installed..so weird.
I tried express lane help thing but they said that they help only with iTunes..they gave me a list of countries with contact numbers but turkey is not on the list..I requested them to fw me to another person but haven't heard..
Why would apple writes go to express lane for personalised help if they are unable to deliver that promise!
Anyway, I am writing before I get too angry and sell this product..
If anyone knows or experienced anything similar..pls help me..
    Thanks,
    Fund

You're sure the icon isn't on any of the potentially multiple Home Screens?
I'm sure others may offer different advice especially if they have come across your issue, but there is always the option I suppose to completely reset your ipad to factory settings, erasing all content, etc. There is a forum which mentions one or two ways to do this:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2687614&tstart=225
I don't know whether you should, or want to, do what it says there, but if I was completely stuck and about to chuck the ipad away I would probably try the complete ipad reset via Settings: General: Reset: etc... first.
    Good luck.

  • Addon is already installed but it's not true.. And many other weird things

    Ouffff
Ok I have a addon which is version 2009.11.6.1 so its a old one
Now if I do the usual thing to upgrade, it's impossible, because even tought the new addon is really a new version which is 2010.2.16.1 it says that the it failed because another version is already installed.  HUH not really since in SAP there's no trace of it and the Uninstall never appears for it so it's not in SAP but it's not uninstalled and it's not in the ADD REMOVE programms so what do I do to really uninstall this add-on so I can install the new version ?
If I do re-register the old version.  It works all right.  That means it appear in SAP, it is registering all right and I can install it
but again if I do REMOVE the add-on, quit SAP  and get back in, I have no UNINSTALL window that pops.
I really need to upgrade the addon.  I have no clue what is going on.
I did check in the AddonLocalRegistration.sbo which the new version is there
I did check in SBO_COMMON, table SARI which I can see that the new addon is registered and not the old one
but it continues to pop the message saying : another version is already installed.
    Ahhhhhhh God...

    Hi Marc,
As mentioned above, because of the way that SBO converts version numbers in to integer values to compare between versions, you do need to make sure that each segment of your version numbers have the same number of digits.
With regards to the version number message, please check that there is no reference to the older version of the add-on in either the AddOnsInstall.sbo or AddOnsLocalRegistration.sbo files. These are XML files that are stored in the SBO client folder on the workstation. They hold details of which add-ons are installed and which ones are pending. If the older version does appear then you can remove that <AddOn> node, resave the files and then restart SBO to see if this corrects the problem (note: if you are not familiar with these files then I recommend you make a temporary backup of them before doing any editing).
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

  • Am running Vista and it shows Adobe flash player 100% installed but it will not work. I have uninstalled numerous times and still no luck. Had success on older computer running XP. I have searched the net and attempted numerous options but to no avail.

Adobe Flash player states it is installed and gives the current version but when I attempt to view a video it tells me to download the newest flash player however it showed I have installed it.
When I go to uninstall programs it does not show any files have been downloaded for the program... so I have uninstalled; restarted; re-installed under administrator; turned off any virus protection and firewalls... etc.
Basically I have tried everything I have seen posted.
    I need help!!!!

Do you have NoScript or Flashblock or some similar Extension installed? If so, are you allowing the site, at least on a temporary basis, access by such an Extension?

  • Trying to start Firefox and it say already running, but it is not runnimg.

The message I get back is firefox is running and must be shut down or retsart system. I have had the system down snd off for over twelve houses and get the same message.

Mine says the same error message except it does not say it is not responding , just open , but it wont let me open , it just gives the message every time i TRY to open it
This just started doing this today , but it has done it 3 times , i have also noticed that my mouse wont scroll sometimes , i will be on a webpage and its like the page is locked , but if i move the page by the slider on the right manually , then the mouse scroll works again , this also just started tonight , so i am guessing the 2 are related , and i get no other system errors , or anything i can find running in the background , when i do get it to allow me to open it again , the pages stop freezing , till the next time , then the next time i try to open Firefox , i get the error , so the mouse scroll freeze and the error must be related somehow

    Hi Anne,
Your version of Safari is still supported.  Please see Adobe Flash Player | Tech specs for supported OS and browsers.
If the Flash Player plugin is in the Plug-ins (disabled) folder it's because it's an older version that Apple has disabled in Safari.  This has nothing to do with whether or not Flash Player supports the browser.
I'm not sure what you mean by "when i click on flash player itself i am told there is no application to open it."  Flash Player.plugin only works in the browser to view Flash content in the browser.  The plugin does not open files outside of the browser.  If you have SWF files you'd like to view outside of the browser, then you'll need the Flash Player projector. However, based on your previous comments this doesn't appear to be what you are trying to do.
Google Chrome does embed Flash Player in it, while Firefox does not.   Mozilla has also recently started blocking older versions of Flash Player in Firefox similar to what Apple is doing in Safari.
Following the 'clean install' instructions should result in you having the latest version of Flash Player installed that will not be blocked by the browser.
