I want to say it is "Ctl+Shift+ ..... "
An help would be great thanks.

Esc + f + n
Needs to be executed like a "Street Fighter II" type move.

  • Can I export Flash CS5.5 keyboard shortcuts to Flash CC?

Flash CS5.5 keyboard shortcuts were located in Library/Application Support/Adobe/Flash CS5.5/en_US/Configuration/Keyboard Shortcuts on my Mac and were an .mfx file.
In Flash CC, they're located in Library/Preferences/Adobe/Flash/13.0/Shortcuts and are XML. Is there a way to convert the old shortcuts file into the new format? I have a lot of custom shortcuts and don't want to redo them if it's avoidable.

    no.
but you can edit the html file to convert it into the xml format expected by flash cc.
i'm not sure that's less laborious than just recreating a new shortcut file using flash cc though.  unless you're good with find/replace (especially if you can use a text editor that supports regular expressions), you're probably better off creating your shortcuts the standard way.

  • Bringing Flash CC presets (keyboard shortcuts, extensions, workspace) from home computer to a work computer?

Is it possible to use the sync functions of Flash CC to bring all of my settings from my home computer to a work computer with a separate license of Flash?
Ideally, I would like to copy my keyboard shortcuts, my installed extensions, and my workspace setup, so that using Flash at work will feel identical to working at home, without having to manually set everything up again.
Is there an easy way to do this?
    Thanks!

You can sync preferences by signing into your Adobe Creative Cloud account, except for extensions not installed through Creative Cloud's official add-ons website, which have to be installed manually. Although I assume your work-licensed programs prevent you from logging in with your personal account. It's worth a shot, though.

  • How can I stop flash from preventing keyboard shortcuts, such as Ctrl-T?

If a tab is open and any flash object is highlighted, Shortcuts such as Ctrl T do not work because the flash object is monitoring the keyboard.
How can I prevent this behavior? I wish firefox KB shortcuts to have primacy.

If a plugin like Flash has focus then you need to use the mouse to set focus to an element outside that Flash object. There is currently no way to do that with the keyboard.

  • Scripting Styles keyboard shortcuts

    Hi.
I'm creating an Applescript for Indd 5.5 that will create a number of documents and add them to a book file. I'm trying to flesh out all the book's documents with as many text and object styles as I can, and ensure each document has only the swatches etc. needed for the book.
I've managed to create text styles and groups (folders) quite easily, but I can't find a way of assigning a keyboard shortcut to a style. Typically, I will be using shortcuts on the numeric keypad, and using the command key (Mac) – Command+Num 8, for example. I've searched the web, but can't find anything that shows how to do it – only how to assign global shortcut sets for InDesign.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks,
    K@

Well, I was proposing a slightly different strategy.
Export one style from the INDD to IDMS, and then delete
all the extra crap that is not the style definition. That
leaves you with about 20 lines of XML.
Then, write your AppleScript to create a 20-line XML file
containing those literal 20 lines, while adjusting the name
    and shortcut of the style.
Then your Applescript can place the IDMS snippet file after it
writes it, and then delete the temporary file. You can then
modify the attributes of that imported paragraph style
    in our script.
That's a little bit clunky but it shouldn't keep you from putting the
shortcuts in your applescript code. You are just dynamically
    generating IDMS/IDML/XML from your applescript.
You mention maybe you would prefer not to format the style within
the script? Well, then I guess you have even more options
    available!

  • Photoshop scripts and keyboard shortcuts synchronization

I use Photoshop CC in multiple computers and would like to find out if there is way to synchronize keyboard shortcuts and photoshop scripts across different computers. Is it possible to synch the scripts folder and keyboard shortcuts through Dropbox for instance?

Have you tried the syncing capabilities in CC? I have not tried to sync across multiple computeres -- having only one -- but the capabilities to sync preferences and actions seem to be possible. However, I believe 'scripts' and 'actions' are not the same thing so I cannot comment on how this sync process deals with scripts.

  • Shell script and keyboard shortcut

I wrote a bash script, and I would like to start it with a keyboad shortcut, but I can't figure out how to do that. Does anyone know?

    Hi Hugo,
Keyboard shortcuts are meant for Carbon and Cocoa applications but it can be done; you just have to wrap the shell script in some sort of application. One way is Sveinbjorn Thordarson's Platypus but I just wrap mine with an AppleScript, invoking it with "do shell script". You have to save the AppleScript as an application. Then you open the "Keyboard & Mouse" pane of "System Preferences" and select the "Keyboard Shortcuts" tab. Click the plus sign, '+', pick a key combination and specify your AppleScript or Platypus app as the target.

  • I've used a terminal command to change default send keyboard shortcut and now it doesn't work at all!

My friend provided me with a Terminal command allow me to use Cmd+Enter to send an email (muscle memory from Outlook, hard to forget!)
    Command was:
    defaults write com.apple.mail NSUserKeyEquivalents -dict-add "Send" "@\\U21a9"
Did that, and it didn't add the Cmd+Enter instruction but removed the Cmd+Shift+D instruction, so I had NO keyboard shortcut. Then Cmd+Enter started working. For a while. Now I'm back to getting the irritating error bleep sound, and having no functional keyboard shortcut for sending mail.
    Does anybody have any advice?

    Try
    defaults delete com.apple.mail NSUserKeyEquivalents
    Then, relaunch Mail.

  • "Turn Bluetooth On" with a keyboard shortcut

Does anyone know how to set a keyboard shortcut to "Turn Bluetooth On"?
I've looked in the keyboard shortcuts menu, and all I can do is add a keyboard shortcut to an application, but I don't know which application or command I need to set a keyboard shortcut to.
    Thanks

I just emailed Dan, and asked him how he made shortcuts to menu items. He replied:
"It evidently varies by menu; some of the "Menu Extra" menus -- those on the
right-hand side of the menu bar -- let you assign shortcuts, whereas others
don't. Even when they do, I've discovered that the keyboard shortcut doesn't
always work. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news! The alternative is a bit
trickier: Creating AppleScripts for such purposes and then using a
third-party utility to assign those scripts to keyboard shortcuts."
I have had good luck using automator to follow my actions, in turning on and off the airport from the menu bar. One problem I found was Automator recognised me clicking the Airport icon, moving down the dropdown menu, but it would not recognise me clicking "Turn AirPort Off". So I had to click on airport icon, then use arrow keys, and Enter key, to select "Turn Airport Off". Then simply make an "application" for this action in Automator, and use some third party app to make a short cut to the automator-created app. I'm going to try out using Spark :http://www.shadowlab.org/Software/spark.php, but you could probably use Quicksilver too.

  • Keyboard shortcut for flash context menu?

What is the keyboard shortcut to open a context menu in Flash? Shift+F10 doesn't work.. Now I am trying to implement a key-down event handler like below:
    public function customKeyHandler(e:KeyboardEvent):void
        if (e.keyCode == flash.ui.Keyboard.F10 && e.shiftKey)
But  this is not working as the F10 key in flash is reserved by the system and cannot be used in action script according to
    this  http://www.flexer.info/2009/12/20/flexflash-keyboard-key-codes/ .
Does anyone know how to go about enabling context menu in Flash to be opened using keyboard (not mouse right click) ??

    please don't cross-post.

  • How can I set up a keyboard shortcut for 'Remove Tween' in Flash Pro CC 2014?

I'm trying to set this up, as I have in previous versions of Flash, but the 'Remove Tween' command (among other commands) is not available in the Keyboard Shortcut window.
Is there some other way to add this shortcut?
    Thanks,
    George

I don't think this had a keyboard shortcut even before (checked in CS6). There's an alternative though.
    1. Create a JSFL file with following code and save it in the commands folder as 'Remove Tween'.
         fl.getDocumentDOM().getTimeline().setFrameProperty('tweenType', 'none');
    2. Now goto Edit Menu > Keyboard Shortcuts..
    3. Search for 'Remove Tween' and assign a keyboard shortcut to it.
Now everytime you press the assigned key - jsfl script is executed which essentially removes the tween from selected frame. (works for Classic and Shape tween but not Motion Tweens)

  • Keyboard shortcuts for text selection not working in Flash CC

In the new Code Editor in Flash CC running on Mac OS X, most standard Keyboard Shortcuts for traversing through the text work as expected (as the Operating System works globally) but there is one that doesn't and it's I think the most important one.
Hitting "OPTION + SHIFT + [right or left arrow keys]" to select words doesn't work. Hitting "OPTION + [right or left arrow keys]" works as expected, moving the cursor to the next word or break point, but adding shift doesn't do the selection.
I don't understand why this changed since it's a basic OS global shortcuts, and every other program behaves the way it should. Flash CS6 running on the same system behaves fine, but Flash CC doesn't. If you have ever written code, you know that any second that a programmers hand doesn't have to leave the keyboard to search for the mouse is invaluable, and this has forced me to stop using Flash CC and use Flash CS6 to edit my Action Script classes becuase it's unusable otherwise.
These shortcuts are also not listed in the keyboard shortcuts for the program, so I can't change the default behavior. Does anybody know if there's a way to set it back to the way it was before, or just disable special text shortcuts so that selecting text behaves like any other application in the operating system?
    System Configuration:
    Flash CC
    Mac OSX 10.8.5

Amy~ Yep the lasso tool was what I verified with another user. 'L' seems to be bound indefinitely to loop through different types of lasso tools and it was annoying them because they just wanted L to be the regular freehand lasso. I removed 'L' from being an option on the polygon lasso and even set it explicitly to SHIFT+L as well as set the lasso tool to a completely different keyboard combo. 'L' still cycled through lassos haha. It needs some fixes.
fertolg~ At least you have a workaround for now. I'd go nuts if I couldn't use keyboard text selection writing code, oy! You're welcome and if you're all set please mark correct so we can filter unanswered. Good luck!

  • Custom keyboard shortcuts and editing multiple layers in Flash CS4

    Hi, all -
CS3 -> CS4 transition newb here who's getting increasingly frustrated with the new motion tweens; however, for this project, I'm working in a 3D space and require using them, so I'm dealing with this bit by painful bit. I found the tip about Split Motion, but first question: how do you apply Split Motion across several layers at the same time? I have six different tweens, and in CS3, I used to be able to shift-click or click-drag across frames and apply a command to all of them (for example, hit F5 to add frames), but Split Motion is requiring me to right-click on each and every layer. This is really laborious, and I worry about future animations that might be more complex.
Similarly, I tend to add custom keyboard shortcuts to each of my Flash versions for commands I use frequently and don't want to right-click a menu for (such as "add motion tween") - however, I can't seem to find where to create a custom shortcut for either that, or Split Motion.
Any and all help would be appreciated as I muddle through this. Honestly, guys, I WANT to like the new version and there's so many added features, but it's hampering my workflow so bad I want to pummel it with sticks.

    Hey there,
I definitely hear you about Split Motion. There is an enhancement request for supporting multiple layers, and adding it as a keyboard shortcut. The first one is tricky, but the second one is not. I think there was hope that splitting motions wouldn't be necessary much (especially since you have to be careful when doing so when eases are involved), which is why the eventual need for more functionality related to split motion was realized a bit late in the schedule.
Now regarding other operations, such as you mentioned F5 to insert frames - that and other operations (inserting certain types of property keyframes, F6, and so on) work just fine.
You can apply a shortcut to Create Motion Tween in the custom keyboard shortcut dialog.  Not all operations in the program are available though (most context menu items aren't), which is why unfortunately why we don't see Split Motion yet.
It might be possible to avoid Split Motion though with another workflow. What are you using the feature for?  Just curious in case I can help.
    Jen.

  • Script works in Word 2008 but can't assign keyboard shortcut

Since I must have emacs keystrokes on those fortunately rare occasions when I have to use Word 2008, and because there is no explicit "delete character" command in Word (since there's already a built in keystroke for it, presumably) I've written a simple script that activates the delete key:
    tell application "System Events"
tell application "Microsoft Word" to activate
    key code 117
    end tell
I have put this in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data/Word Script Menu Items so that it shows up in the script menu in Word. If I select the script from the menu via the mouse, it works just fine and deletes the character to the right of the cursor. However, if I try to assign a Word-specific keyboard shortcut (the usual emacs keystroke Ctrl-d, of course) using the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane to this macro it simply doesn't work. "^D" shows up next to the name of the script in the Word script menu, so the shortcut appears to be registering, and the little script menubar icon even flashes blue when I hit Ctrl-d, but nothing happens; the script just does not seem to run.
Any help appreciated. I really need to have this keystroke to be able to use Word and remain reasonably happy about it.
    -TXLogic

Follow up: My Word-specific shortcut seems to work the *first time* I use it after bringing up a document. Thereafter it fails. Thanks.
