  • Flash player doesnt work on safari, even with the last version 11.6

    hello,
Since yesterday, my flash player doesnt work on safari (OS X10.8.2). I tried to update flash with the last version (11.6) from adobe website, but i still have the same probleme.  Can you please help me ?
    Thank you

If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test. For a "missing plug-in" error, start with Step 4.
    1. If you're getting a "blocked plug-in" error, then from the menu bar select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Check Now. Quit and relaunch your browser.
    2. Triple-click the line below to select it:
    /Library/Internet Plug-Ins
Right-click or control-click the highlighted text and select
    Services ▹ Open
from the contextual menu. A folder should open. If there is more than one item in the folder with the words "Flash Player" (not "flashplayer") in the name, open the respective Info windows, check the version numbers, and delete all except the latest. You may be prompted for your login password.
    3. Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from this page:
Adobe - Install Adobe Flash Player
Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
    4. If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked Enable plug-ins.
    5. Select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them.
    6. In the Safari preference window, select
Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data
    Close the window. Then select
     ▹ System Preferences… ▹ Flash Player ▹ Advanced
and click Delete All. Close the preference pane.

  • Flash player doesnt work for IE (64 bit) - for me anyway

ive got windows 7 (64bit) and in a recent up date i believe internet explorer (64bit) downloaded, it works fine except flash player doesnt at all, no updates i download make it work either
but then i switched back to using the normal IE and everything works fine
how do i solve this problem?
this may be a problem being experienced by others - i hope

Hi, well since Adobe Flash Player doesn't support the 64bit, you need to use the 32bit browser. This is the default on Win7/IE8 systems. Go up to Help, About Internet Explorer and if you see x86, you are using the 32bit.
Also you need to use the 32bit browser when Installing Flash Player and to view Flash.
    Thanks,

  • Adobe Flash Player doesnt work

something happened and now Safari and Firefox wont allow adobe flash player to show slide shows - all i get is a black screen - no indication of any errors; I uninstalled Safari and Flash player and reinstalled them to no avail. I think it may be related to something that happened to my system preferences - the accounts, log in items had for some reason changed to just three items: growl helper app; growl menu; and logitech control center. I didnt change these; on my laptop - which still works and allows flash player to work - there are these additional login items microsoft au daemon, expander daemon; itunes helper - when I search my desktop of the daemon files nothing shows up. Please help. (I also cant play videos in my browsers)

this is the javascript web inspector report I get when I try to run the slide show in flickr ( which doesnt work - just produces a black screen)

  • Flash player not working in IE9 Window 7 64bit.

Ever since I upgraded my IE8 to IE9, flash player didn't work. For example, white screen shows up in the flash player box. Consequently, i did some research trying to fix this issue by re-installing adobe flash player, and re-installing IE. I even tried every solution applicable via forums, but still no luck. Do i need to wait for an 10.3 update or there is feasible solution for this?

    Greetings, fellow 64-bit sufferer,
These steps should get you to the 10.3 version of Flash Player that you’re looking for (It’s called the Flash Player Square version 10.3.162.28):
    1. Go to this link first, http://www.adobe.com/support/2. Under "Product help and support centers," select the link for Flash Player;
    3. Under “Flash Player doesn’t work,” click the link for Windows 7;
    4. Under “Related content” (right side of page), click the first link, "Flash Player on 64-bit Operating Systems;"
    5. Under the first paragraph (in the note), click the link for Adobe Labs;
    6. Scroll to the middle of the page to the section “64-bit Release Flash Player Downloads.”
    7. The first download link is the one you want for Windows 7 (and Vista) users.
BEFORE YOU RUN IT, uninstall whatever version of Flash Player you already have in your browser at the moment. I’m sure you’ve probably mastered the uninstall/install tango at this point, but here is the most thorough guide for doing this that I have found to date:
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html (for version 10.2 and lower)
I really like the fact that Step 6 points you to a page where you can test your browser to see if Flash Player is still there. Once you are sure it's gone, return to the Adobe Labs page and run the link that installs Flash Player's Square Version. You can then come back to this same Step 6 and use the test page to see that the new version 10.3.162.28 (or something 10.3-ish or above) has been installed correctly.
    Good luck.
Note: This Square version is not an offficial release.  In fact, it is not even a beta version that is made easily available to end-users.  They're calling it a pre-release build, so its really a tool for software developers, not the rest of us.  It will, however, work better than anything else for us desparate 64-bit browser users who need something now.  I, myself have a problem that I think is Square-related, and lucky for you, I stumbled across your situation while trying to resolve my own.  I hope someone stumbles across me in the near future.

  • Flash Player not working in IE9

I have the latest flash player (I reinstalled it twice today).  However it won't work in Internet explorer 9.  I downloaded Google Chrome and it does work in Google Chrome but not in IE9.

The current Flash Player version only works on the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer.

  • Flash player quits working in IE9

I just got a new computer.  I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and IE9.  Here's what's happening: flash will be doing fine but then -- unexpectedly -- I'll go to a website and a "circle with an exclamation point" is shown where flash animation should be taking place.  Then, my browser will say I need to install Flash to see the animations (like going to Youtube.)  I've found that when this happens, I just have to close IE9 and open it again and the problem is resolved.  It's very strange.    It doesn't seem like it's uninstalling since it works when I re-open IE9...  Anyone offer any help?

    Hi Chris,
Thanks for writing me back.  Yes, I see the spinning 'F' now.  The player USUALLY works, but, about 5 times over the past 2 weeks it has just quit working.  And yes, until I close the IE window completely and restart it, it will not work.  What's funny is, at that point, IE9 doesn't think it's installed at all.  But, when I re-open IE after closing it, everything is fine.  I'm running Norton Internet Security but don't think permissions are an issue.
Since it happens so infrequently, I'd have to be running the video capture all the time to catch it.  Maybe, the next time it happens, can you suggest a course of action?  Maybe look in preferences at that time?
    Thanks.

  • Flash Player not working on IE9

I am trying to use the most recent version of Flash Player on Internet Explorer 9, but the computer is not reading it on NBA.com nor Pogo.com.  I am able to use the player on Internet Explorer 8, Firefox, Chrome, & Opera.  Is there something missing?
    I am using:

System Type: 64 bit operarting system
    Internet Explorer 9 32-bit edition
    Flash Player Version: 11.1.102.62

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
    Mem: 4GB 1067 MHx DDR3
    Safari Version: 5.05
    Firefox Version: 3.5.3
I was suddenly not being able to watch videos on youtube because of youtube's new update that requires one person like myself to update. So, I follow the instructions and uninstalled flash player then then installed the newest version of flash onto my macintosh. I booted up Safari, and went to youtube, still said i needed flash player 10. I uninstalled and reinstalled flash player at least 10 times. I even tried reinstalling safari, still nothing.  I tried using it on firefox and it works!
Ways i have tried to fix this:
    1. Check if plug-ins were enabled on Safari security prefrences, it was already checked.
    2. Tried "un-checking" run with rosetta, couldn't even check it, was already unchecked
    Please help,

For more (not good) news on this video card & Mac model combination, see http://www.xlr8yourmac.com/feedback/9600mac_pcedition.html.
I suspect that any video card that shipped as an OEM product with any Mac model that meets the Leopard system requirements (& is supported by the Quicksilver) will work. This is because the Leopard DVD will have the necessary video driver extensions for those cards, but not necessarily ones that support other cards. Searching through my /System/Library/Extensions folder indicates that the following types of OEM ATI Radeon cards should be supported, but there are no guarantees:
    ATI Radeon 8500
    ATI Radeon 9700
    ATI Radeon X1000
    ATI Radeon X2000
There are also a number of driver names associated with various nVidia GeForce cards, the other supplier of OEM video cards for Apple.
The "Catch 22" about this is that if there was a Leopard compatible driver extension for the 9600 available (which there does not seem to be), you could install one of the above cards, do the upgrade to Leopard, & add it to /System/Library/Extensions folder of your startup drive afterwards. Then, the Mac could boot from that startup disk with just that card installed ... but the Leopard DVD disk still wouldn't work for repairs that require booting from it.

  • Flash player doesnt work with firefox no matter what i try to do.Have windows xp.It does work if i use to internet explorer.Dont know what else to do.Need help

Cant get Flashplayer to work with firefox

There are 2 versions of Adobe Flash player; one for IE (ActiveX) and one for most other browsers including Firefox (Plugin). You do not appear to have Flash installed for Firefox (Plugin) on the system used to report your question (click "More system details" to the right of your original question, "Shockwave Flash" is not listed). You can check in your Firefox Add-ons > Plugins to see if "Shockwave Flash" is listed but disabled. When updating Flash on a Windows system with IE installed, you should always update both.
Download (for your OS and browsers), save, close all browsers, run the installers that you just downloaded from the following page:

  • Flash animation doesnt work on smart phone?

I created a flash animation for my website banner. When I open the site on my laptop it works completely fine, but it seems not to work when I browse the website using my smart phone. Is there anything I did wrong?
    Thank you!
