Hi Gary
In the exit of the Flash this you putting 100%x100 % in
Dimensions in the guide HTML? Place also Exact fit in scale soon
down, Publish this archive and he opens to see if it gave
something, another test opens his Dreamweaver and put his SWF in a
html, save and execute to see how it is.

    When I run an applet in the browser, I have to specify the width and height for the applet. How do I tell the applet to use the full size of browser window?
    Does anybody have experience on it?
    Thanks!

    Guys,
    I have found a solution already. The key is to specify percentage in width and height value. For example, width="100%" height="100%". There you go!

  • How to centre Flash content in browser window?

    Hi there
    I'm relatively new to Flash, so maybe there's a simple answer to this one.
    How do I centre my Flash content horizontally in the browser window? In the Publish Settings I see there are options to align the HTML to Default, Left, Right, Top and Bottom, but no Center. Is there a setting somewhere else? Do I need to write some ActionScript to do this? (If so, what?)
    I'd appreciate any suggestions.
    (I'm using CS3 on a Mac.)

    OK, I'm fumbling around a bit here. I see now that the Flash content does resize to fit the window. So, back to my original question: how can I get it to keep its original size but stay centered horizontally in the window?
    Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • Flash file in browser window

    I have a couple of pages that I am currently working on with
    links to browser windows with single images in them. These work
    fine, but I recently tried to create a link to a page with a single
    flash .swf file in it which I would like to open in a browser
    window. However, when I click on the link, nothing opens. Looking
    at the code view, it looks similar to the other pages where the
    single image opens in the browser window. Are Flash files not able
    to open in browser windows? If not, is there some other way to
    control the size and toolbars of the window?

    Got a URL to show us?

  • How to center flash movie in browser window

    Can anyone explain how to horizontally center my Flash movie in the web browser window after publishing?
    A bit of background:
    I was able to achieve this using <center></center> tags a few years ago. But I have since upgraded to CS5 and I understand that this old method is now obsolete.
    I have found a few threads/forums that address this, but I know nothing about HTML and these threads don't help me because they assume you have more knowledge than I possess. When opening up the index.html file in Dreamweaver I can't find anything that looks vaguely familiar to what is being discussed. I have found some code samples using <div></div> tags but have no idea where to place it.
    So I will need it explained to me in a step by step fashion, including which file I need to fix and what program I should use. Code samples will be very welcome if you can tell me exactly where it goes.
    Thanks in advance...

    Just realized that there is no scrolling functionality with the .swf generated from the new CS5. Can anyone help out by providing revised code for centering and scrolling?
    I found something elsewhere in the forums that worked for both centering and scrolling that worked fine yesterday, but upon visiting my site today for testing, it did not allow the scrolling, and centering did not work in Firefox. Tested both Safari and Firefox on 2 Macs running Snow Leopard.
    Again, much appreciated - nice to visit forums where people are interested in helping instead of screaming at each other. Will visit the Illustrator or Indesign forum to see if I can help out someone there...

    Something like that could maybe help:
    Runtime.getRuntime.exec("iexplore http://www.google.com");
    but it's not platform independent + I couldn't let it work in that way. It only worked with Runtime.getRuntime.exec("c:\\windows\\....\\iexplore.exe http://www.google.com");
    But it's surely not platform independent.
    So the answer is in fact 'I don't know'.
    And if you ask why am I writing all that then, the answer is 'I don't know' too.

  • Dreamweaver CS4 how do I make a website adjust to browser window Size

    I know there is a solution to this but not sure how to find it.
    I have created my website and have a "wrapper" in my css
    I would like the whole site to automatically adjust in conjunction to the size the browser window is , larger or smaller etc.
    How do I write the code and where do I place it?
    Thanks
    Kathryn

    Add a percentage width to your Wrapper Division's CSS code.  100% fills the viewport.
    #wrapper {
    width: 80%;
    margin: 0 auto;  /**centered on screen**/
    See also min-and max-widths to limit how much the page can be re-sized.

  • How to reduce the size of the browser window

    My firefox browser window is a full screen view. My monitor is a 24" flat-screen. When I first downloaded firefox the browser window was half the size it is now. How can I re-size the browser window back to the way it was? I think I clicked the full screen button in the top right hand corner - not sure; but now I can't reduce the browser window back to half size so I can see the rest of my desktop. Help!

    If you run Firefox in full screen mode then press F11 or Fn + F11 to toggle (Mac: command+Shift+F).
    If you are in full screen mode then hover the mouse to the top to make the Navigation Toolbar and Tab bar appear.
    You can click the Maximize button at the top right to leave full screen mode or right click empty space on a toolbar and use "Exit Full Screen Mode" or press F11.

  • Firefox 3.6.8 Opening unrequested new browser windows

    I have a new Gateway laptop with Intel Core i5 2.26 Ghz and4 gb ram. I downloaded Firefox immediately, my browser of choice. However, what I've discovered is that almost immediately Firefox would open an unrequested new browser window when I click a link. E.G. I was on Yahoo today and clicked a link to daniweb after doing a search. (I was testing the theory.) Almost immediately there was a very quick flash of my browser window, almost as if something was opened and immediately minimized. After that daniweb loaded. If I go to the start bar and hover over the Firefox (Using Win 7) icon, it shows only 1 open browser window. About 30 seconds later though, the new browser window pops up in front of the Daniweb window. This time, the new window contained the following URL... http://www.yellowpages.com/raleigh-nc/programming?From=MRCH2 As you can see, it basically did a yellowpages search for programming in my area, presumably because I am going to an IT site. And now, if I hover over the Firefox icon on the start bar it shows to open browser windows.
    The window which pops up unrequested is frequently yellowpages although sometimes it's a news site with a search for whatever I had clicked on. Occasionally it has been a "you have won site". I have pop-up blocker turned on and have tested through various test sites that pop-up blocker is in fact working. In some ways, this is more insidious because it's not a pop-up like we think of a pop-up, rather it's an entire browser window.
    I have googled and googled trying to find a solution and thus far no one else has posted anything similar to this problem.

  • Keep Website Centered in Web Browser Window

    Hi
    Im using Dreamweaver CS4 and I was wondering, how can I make it so that whatever size you make your web browser window it stays in the middle? E.g. touchthisgames.com Its simple like my website will be but it all stays in the centre no matter what size your browser window is. Any help much appreciated, thanks.

  • Fixed size browser window pop-up from flash?

    Hi there... I'm finishing off a flash website for a band and
    I've created a little music player that's 380 x 250 pixels...
    There's a "launch music player" button in my site and when pple
    click on it, I'd like the music player (which is a flash file
    embedded in an html file) to pop up in it's own little browser
    window. I know how to make normal full size windows pop up (by
    using the: getURL("location", "_blank").... function) but I need a
    browser window that doesn't scroll and isn't resizeable, with a
    fixed size of 380 x 250 to pop up. I know how to do this in HTML
    (dreamweaver), but not in flash - can anyone help?
    Mal

    Using the getURL function you can call a specific javascript
    function where you can create a new window with specific size:
    getURL('javascript:FUNCTION();');
    Cheers,
    Gorka

  • Want To Have Flash Project Open In New Browser Window

    Hi,
    My project outputs and plays perfect to Flash (let default to
    Flash 7) but when viewing it (via a link from a web page) it opens
    in a "next" window and at the end, if you use the X (EXIT) button
    from the player control bar it wants to close the browser window
    and does not take you back to the webpage (where I have the link to
    play). I cannot seem to find an option in the Preferences or during
    output to make the player open in a "new" browser window. Is it
    possible there is a browser setting for this instead of setting in
    Captivate? (IE 6 or 7) Thanks for any help/suggestions!

    Hi leh1, and welcome to the User Community for Captivate!
    The window in which any content plays is determined by the
    code contained for the link,
    in the web-page from which it is launched. In a nutshell,
    you add these parameters to the link when it is created in the
    "Parent" window.
    Below is a snippet from a Menu Builder project in which the
    links to "Project1" and "Project2" are set to open in a "New"
    window, without chrome (note the many "
    =no" following an equal sign), at a size of 720 pixels by
    540 pixels ... the snip below shows a link to "Project1.htm", a
    document containing a Captivate movie. I have bolded the specific
    entries that control the type window ("OpenCustomLink") and the
    size of that window ("width=720,height=540"):
    <P style="cursor: pointer; cursor: hand; position:
    absolute; left: 90px; top: 149px; text-decoration: none; font:
    normal 18pt Arial; color: #000000" title="Project 1" onclick="
    OpenCustomLink('project1.htm', '_blank',
    'scrollbars=no,status=no,
    titlebar=yes,toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,resizable=yes,
    fullscreen=no,
    width=720,height=540'); "
    onmouseover="this.style.color='#0000FF'; "
    onmouseout="this.style.color='#000000';">Project 1</P>
    (some spaces inserted to avoid horizontal scroll)
    All of which is to say, the target window is controlled from
    the link in the parent document. I wouldn't suggest you just
    copy-paste the above code, as I took liberties with it. I
    would suggest that you can do this yourself with your own
    HTML editor (Dreamweaver, etc.), or even better, get your local
    web-guru to do it for you.
    All the best!!

  • Opening a new browser window from flash

    Does anyone know of a method fo opening a link in a new
    window in firefox from within flash that isn't blocked by the popup
    blocker. It seems like the security in FF 2.0.0.6 (I'm on 2.0.0.11)
    has been tightened to prevent any _blank or window.open calls from
    flash getting through. I've tried the standard getURL, fscommand
    and ExternalInterface call to a javascript window.open method.
    Nothing now works.
    I understand the need for the popup blockers, but this is a
    legitimate popup only invoked on user interaction (click) - the
    same window.open call in an onClick event outside of flash works
    fine and I guess it is blocked from within flash because there is
    no way of knowing if the call is invoked from user interaction or
    automatically - but seems a shame.
    So any other way of getting a new browser window to open from
    within flash in firefox?

    Use target="_blank" in your form declaration.<FORM METHOD=POST ACTION="someAction" TARGET="_blank">The _blank keyword tells the browser to load the results in a new window.
    If you need more control over your window (size, address bar, etc.) you'll need to use javascript.<SCRIPT>
    function submitForm(windowName){
       newWin = window.open("",windowName, "menubar=no,resizable=no,...");
       document.myForm.target = windowName;
       document.myForm.submit();
    </SCRIPT>
    <FORM NAME="myForm" METHOD=POST ACTION="some.jsp" TARGET="">
    <INPUT TYPE=BUTTON VALUE="Submit" onclick="submitForm();">
