Flash slideshow working on a portion of the site

I have created two photo slideshows to put on a site I'm working on. One is on the home page and it seems to work fine. The second is on another page. This one is not working for some reason. I published it in the same way I did the first from Flash Professional.
When I post the slide show on the home page it works. When I take the slidshow from the homepage and put it on the second it does not work. I appreciate any help.

Assuming you are using Safari ...
Quit Safari.
Open System Preferences > Flash Player then select the Storage tab. Click: Delete All
Now uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Make sure to uninstall the currently installed Flash plugin first.
Launch Safari From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
Now try a video.
BTW... if you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.

Flash Remoting Works Locally But Not On The Server

Hello,
I have a flash file that connects to an asp.net page. The
aspx page queries a databse and returns a set of records to flash.
Flash reads in those records and processes those records. Locally,
this works fine. However, on the server, nothing happends. I spoke
with tech support at hosting company and they tell me everything is
installed for Flash Remoting.

I am having the exact same problem. My remoting application
works fine on my laptop as long
as the url for the gateway reads
http://localhost/remotingData/gateway.aspx,
but if I change
it to the name of my machine and attempt to run the swf I
keep getting a NetConnection.call.badversion error in the
netconnection debugger. If I attempt to connect through IE it just
sits with no reply.
Is there some kind of permission thing going on here?

Several times while attemping to access new web sites it said that I needed Adobe Flash and would not let me access the site. What is the answer?

Seeveral times while atttempting to access various web sites I get the message can not access because I do not have Adobe Flash.

Email the webmaster of the sites, tell him or her to get into the 21st century and stop using Flash.

How do I stop a pop up from being blocked? I am attempting to fill out a job application and a portion of the site is being "blocked by my browser".

I can't finish a job application because "my browser is blocking a pop up section of the form where they are asking for additional info. The site is using Taleo.

Remove the checkmark from Block Popup windows.

Muse overwrites any SEO title Tag or Description changes made in Business Catlayst. Is there a work aorund to this? The sites do NOT merge or Muse does not detect the changes made.

Please advise if there is a work around. If not, Adobe really should fix this issue.

As you've noticed, Muse will clobber any changes made to the pages Muse works with that have been done outside Muse*. Are the page title features provided not enough for your purposes? Does the information in this thread help at all: Re: How do I add Meta tags to pages?

My Business Catalyst panel is not working even after re-importing the site. How do I fix it?

The only thing displayed in the panel is "siteNameTooltip(x)" I have also reinstalled dreamweaver, since I was previously getting javascript errors on load. I was able to clear the error by adding a missing reference to bc_main.js in BCModulePanel.htm. Since then, I uninstalled and reinstalled from Creative Cloud and applied an update. The missing reference is there now, but I am getting the current behavior. Interestingly the Configuration folder moved from /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver CS6/ to /Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CS6/ with the reinstall.
Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix, or is this a bug or corrupt install?

Update, I fixed it although it feels more like a workaround. I had to enable the extension in extension manager. That still left a blank panel, but once I closed and reopened the panel I was prompted to login. Seems that closing and reopening the panel is the fix once it is enabled.

I am applying for a job and Firefox is blocking a pop up portion of the site. how do I enable the site to be allowed? I trust this site fully.

the browser has blocked the pop up section of a questionaire - I am attempting to apply for a job at a Hyatt hotel.

Do you see a pop-up block icon on the right end of the location bar when that happens?
You can also check the pop-up permissions via Tools > Page Info > Permissions

Windows 8 - No Flash Player Works

Windows 8 doesn't allow Adobe Flash PLayer to work at all. Whats the deal?

I had the same problem. Flash would work in Chrome but both the Metro and desktop versions of Internet Explorer would not play any flash content. I wasn't even able to see the flash movie on the official Adobe page...

So I knew it had nothing to do with "Compatibility Mode" or some rogue websites that just didn't update their pages (vimeo video's wouldn't work either). I keep hearing the latest Flash version is buggy and since it's not as simple as uninstalling and reinstalling, I had to find another solution

I was still lost. Of particular interest was step telling me to update to the latest version of flash. When I tried, I was told that the Windows Update was already installed.
MY SOLUTION (Sorry if the steps aren't exact, I'm at work and did this last night)...
1) Hit "Windows key + r" and type "appwiz.cpl" This will bring up the Add/Remove Program window.
2) Click on "View Installed Updates"
3) When you try to install the latest version of Flash via the link above, the error message indicates that update is already installed, when this happens, take note of the update number (something like "KB#######")
4) Find this number on the list of installed updates, right click and choose "uninstall"
5) You will probably have to restart after this.
6) After restarting, attempt to reinstall flash via the link above
7) Again, you will have to restart.
8) After restarting, you should be good.

Latest Flash not working at all in 3.6.16 on Mac 10.4; even reinstalled; what can I do?

No flash is working, not Youtube, games, or the check on Adobe site. (All works fine in Safari)
Completely removed *all* files for firefox, mozilla, adobe, flash; and reinstalled both programs. Still nothing works.
Installed plugin Shockwave/Director 11; that seems to be okay.
Mozilla site says plug in is there and up to date.
Adobe site has no reaction, not even to say missing plug in. (No site says the plug in is missing, it just doesn't work.) If I uninstall flash, sites say plugin is missing. Reinstall, and no message, but still nothing works.
What the heck can I do?

I cant believe this. After a month of struggling to fix it, I
just did. If you have Avast! Anti-virus, just turn the 'resident

Flash stopped working in Firefox

I have
- Flash player (11.2.202.235)
- Firefox (13.0, as of this morning)
- (64 bit) Windows 7 Professional
Flash no longer works (in IE or Firefox, fine in Chrome) - I don't know if this happened as the result of an update. I have tried uninstalling Flash (and Firefox), deleting the contents of the various Flash-related folders, and re-installing, but to no avail. After installing Flash player again, this page:

briefly shows some Flash once, but if I return to it this no longer works, there's just a blank space that's eventually replaced with a banner ad.
Anyone got any tips as to how to get this running again?

I am still having this issue. Those flash sites mentioned above, I've found that, just as said, one works while the other does not. However, that site that it does work on seems to be the exception, not the rule. It's the only flash I've found that does work.
Also, unlike some of these people, I know EXACTLY when my flash stopped working. I was streaming the DOTA 2 competitions online when the update box came up, encouraging me to update. I put it off for an hour or two, then ran the suggested update, right at the beginning of a match I was very interested in. Well, at the end of the update, Adobe wanted me to reset Firefox, so I did. When I went back to the site, I could no longer stream. I'm fairly computer oriented, growing up in a geek home, so it didn't take me more then 5 minutes to figure out the source of the issue. Upon checking flash on a few other sites, I knew the problem was universal.
I immediately uninstalled 11.3 it and reinstalled the previous version, 11.2.200.235. The flash then worked perfectly again and all was well. This was the 8th I believe.
Well, like an idiot, while doing something else, the update suggestion came up about an hour ago and I allowed it to update. I assumed that this previous issue had been universal, so naturally this was a new update that wouldn't have to problem. Oh, how wrong I was. Exactly the same problem has returned. In an effort to correct the problem, as I did before, I tried to resort to a previous version of flash. However, since a few days have past, I can no longer FIND that version. And I am not a happy camper.
I want to that site, where the one flash works, and disabled the accelloration thing in the settings (it should be noted that, for the before mentioned site where flash won't load, you CAN'T right click to get to settings, because there is just a white, empty screen. Right clicking doesn't do anything). I then looked for anything else that might be a problem (for example, I gave the system unlimited data storage).
Also, I am running Firefox 13, just as I was BEFORE your flash update. It was working just fine. Yes, I am sure of that.
No, I don't have any issues with my physical memory space, I have plenty, so that sure isn't the issue either.
Please, figure out what the heck your update screwed up in Firefox and fix it. In the meantime, please send me a copy of the 11.2.200.235 update, so I can actually function again. I know 11.3 has security hole fixes (yes, I read up on it). Screw the "fixes," I just want to be able to use my internet again! I have things I need to get done. Thank you for your product, we are all very grateful for it. However, it is a major problem for me when it stops working suddenly. In the meantime, I have to use Chrome, which I don't prefer, as all my settings are in Firefox.

How to lock portions of the screen

I'm new to Contribute, having just downloaded a trial
version. The software seems geared toward the user who will be
making modifications to websites, not an administrator. How do you,
as an administrator/site designer, lock certain portions of the
screen so that users can't fiddle with them? Does this only work
with Dreamweaver templates?
The sites I design do NOT live on a server of mine. Each
customer finds their own host, so I cannot control access that way.
I also build very basic, barebones sites using tables and
external style sheets, and do all of my HTML coding from scratch. I
do not use Dreamweaver or any other WYSIWYG HTML packages, so I
don't work with templates. Can such locks be implemented using my
style of site design?

You could try faking a Dreamweaver template by copying DW
template tags (i.e. HTML comments) into your source pages. But DW
is a great page and site building tool and you can always try a
trial version of it.

N86 Flash not working

I just got my N86 a few days ago, and I just noticed that my flash never works. I tried putting the flash to On instead of Auto and it still did not come on. If I go to video mode and take a video the red focus light will come on. If i turn the light on when in video mode none of the lights come on.
Does any one have any suggestions, I did a reset and that did not correct it. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any thing before I sent this phone back.

I have the same problem,sometimes work sometimes not, I've try every possible settings, I can't understand the is there any logical steps that i have to do every time before I make any some correction of the video camera. Any suggestion would be helpful.

Flash slideshows not working.

Every since the latest upgrade of Flash I have been haveing problems with YouTube Videos not playing in Firefox, and now I note my Flash Slideshows (generated with Showit Web) are not playing at all. I have not had a problem with this in many years of using flash slideshows. Now with the last version NOTHING seems to work. I see I am not the only one having this problem. Slideshows are not playing in Firefox or IE9. This is not acceptable. And telling me how to fix it on my PC is not acceptable as none of my customers can see the slideshows on their PCs either. I am losing business as users are simply going away. This MUST be fixed!!

I have not tried to reinstall 11.7 to confirm that it works with the Showit slideshows yet. The problem is that this is out of our hands. We can work around it, but what really matters is what our slideshow viewers have installed on their computer. If Adobe is right there should not be a problem going forward with the latest Beta, and the next public release.
