Flash sms

hi friends..
i have some questions about flash sms. i have 2 nokia phones.
one 5610 & 1200 ,
in 5610 there is an option about sending flash sms in my messages menu, and i can easily send flash sms to every one i want. but i wanna know how to send flash sms using other phones like 1200 & etc... for example entring a command line in my smses or other ways to send flash sms with phones that doesn't have a flash sms option in menu ..
thank you for paying attention to me

Hi there
Unfortunately there is no special code/command you can type into a normal phone to make it send as a flash sms.
Flash sms works by sending the sms in a special format over the network and if the receiving phone supports it it will display as expected directly on the standby screen.
Best you get some more 5610's if you plan to use this with your friends

  • Receiving Strange (flash) SMS

    Hi everyone,
Sorry if it is not the proper subcategory to write this but i have a problem and googling did not help me a lot.
I have been receiving strange (flash) SMS in the following format:

    3953609551353
    or
    +38057593335
    1286453254 1 536

the first line is the number that sent the SMS. As found in one forum the first other digits are UNIX Timestamp.
I Hard-Resetted my Nokia N82 but still keep receiving such SMSs from time to time.
Is it a Virus? Do these SMSs keep track of my activity? What should i do?

  • Flash SMS?! iPhone hacked???

    Dear Apple Community,
I just received something called "Flash SMS" with a weird text in it. Something like "We r u now? m"
I googled this and found out that this was, as I called it before, a flash SMS. Will this mean my iPhone is hacked? It's a totally NOT jailbroken iPhone 4S with iOS 6.0.1.
What I have to do now? Backup, Reset everything and restore from backup?
I'm actually a bit worry about this... :/
It looked like this: (THIS IS A GOOGLE PIC, not my case. I forgot to made a screenshot, I was too worried.)

Omg thanks guys! I thought my iPhone was hacked or something, because some minutes ago a strange person (dialed the wrong number, he told me that) called me. (With a normal phonenumber for my country.) So everthing is fine?

  • SMS Flash appeared to iPhone 5

Hi, My wife had an (I quess it is) Flash SMS in her iPhone 5 this morning. Unfortunately I did not take a photo of it but it was something like "Gongratulations - you have won xxxxxxx$" Text was longer and it had an address and an e-mail with it.
The thing that worries me - is that there were only one button below the message "OK".
Pressing the home button - did not this message disappear nor did the closing and opening the display again. I pressed the OK and the message disappeared.
Is there a possibility that the phone was hijacked?
Phone is running with ios7 with 7.0.2 upgrade.

Thank you for you quick respond. As I said - there was only one button to be pressed - which I did. That was the OK button. I do not know if that was a link of some kind. Anyway the message disappeared.
I'm an ICT reseller myself and do know something about what can be done and what not.
I could have tried to boot the phone but I did not this time. That regret's me.
I did change the Appstore password as we have the same account just in case.
Would be interested to see/hear if someone else has received similar message.
I tried to google this but did not find any similar - not from the conversations or pictures.

  • Sending command to a mobile phone blugged into a pc to send an sms

    hi.
i am new to this field, but i heard of "at command" that are helpful to control the mobile phone from a pc. And Java supports this...
    this is the case:
1- a mobile with a valid sim card is connected via USB with the pc.
2- an application is running at the pc (java application)
on this application we need to add a module/class that sends command "at command" to our connected mobie with 2 parameters:
    1- the phone number
    2- the message
MyClass.sendViaMobile("+962795940824", "we want to inform you that u got the help :-)");what i need is how to start this, what do i need to know, and what api's i need to use

    hi mlk
i found the rxtx api, but i got now a question,
how to connect to a usb port?
it seems that it is easy to deal with com port or serial port, but until this moment usb didnt work,
in my case, the mobile is connected via usb port.
this a code that uses the RXTX API, whaere do i need to modify to connect using usb?
*note, the following code is written by someone else, it works via com port...

  • E50 Sms Myfolders Transfering to 6220c

    hello
i am having a small trouble in nokia content transfer/switch application.
Recently i have updated my handset from E50 to 6220c. I have transfered
all data from E50 to 6220c except messages. My E50 had around about
7000-8000 messages in total with "My Folders" & Inbox having around 3000 messages.
I have tried copying/transfering these messages to 6220c but its not possible.
    Things I have tried are-
1.Switch application- does not respond when i do the message transfer.
2.Nokia PC Suite- Does not restore My Folders.
3.Paste option is disabled in PC Suite for some privacy reasons.
4.When i restore the backup taken from E50 by PC suite to 6220c, it does not
restore the my folders and also sometimes the data on my 6220c is lost.
Now Im having the backup + all the messages ie. (.vmg) format files in my pc.
I would be very thankful if any one helps me out in restoring the messages
from my old phone E50 to 6220c. It would be great if all the messages are restored
with all the info. and details. Thanks a ton !
*Also if any one has any applications/softwares of 6220c regarding-
    1.Picture SMS
    2.Sending Flash SMS
    3.Draw Picture SMS & Send
+ Collection of monochromes (72X28 pixel images)
     + Picture SMS viewer
    4.File Explorer

i have transferred all my text messages from E50 to 6220c.
first i created a backup of E50 then restored using latest PC Suite.
Now while restoring the message appears auto matically that due to model
differences of the 2 Phones, the restoration might have some errors but the
new data will be copied without erasing/overwriting the previous one.
So  i proceed. After that i noticed only my messages in inbox were transferred.
So i shifted all my messages from my folder and put 'em in Inbox.
Then created Back up and restred.

  • I received a strange text message - please help??

Last night I received a text message on the iPhone but it appeared differently on screen - it took up the whole of the screen and had the telephone number at the top in large numbers - then the text message across the screen - and then a large 'DISCARD' red button at the bottom... I've never seen a message like this before and it didn't save to my inbox. I'm confused! any help is appreciated x

It's a special type of SMS called a "Flash SMS" or "Class 0 SMS" (nothing to do with Adobe Flash), which doesn't get saved in your InBox and is deleted as soon as you Dismiss it. They're predominantly used for advertising or sending information from your network operator, but other types of phones can also send them.
See the thread below, which has a picture of one received on an iPhone and discusses them:
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=632985
There's even an App in the AppStore that allows you to send these type of SMS:

  • RSA SecurID Software Token for Nokia

    Hi
C7-00 is on the symbian^3 platform, which is the same as N8 & E7. While SecurID Software Token for nokia is qualified for N8 & E7, why is it not qualified for C7?
They are all on the same platform (Symbian^3) !!
    When can it be qualified?

    Hi Webabc123,
I would recommend to use SMS PASSCODE with Cisco AnyConnect. SMS PASSCODE Works with traditional IPSEC VPN, the SSL VPN and Cisco AnyConnect. You can see an example here: http://player.vimeo.com/video/100710625
SMS PASSCODE can make traditional MFA and provide a session specific token, that cannot be used outside the session. Further more is SMS PASSCODE offering geo fencing.
SMS PASSCODE can deliver the token by ordinary sms, flash sms, app based text message, voice call back, yubico token, OATH hardware token, soft token like Google authenticator or Microsoft authenticator.
You can have a mixed environment with SMS PASSCODE and RSA tokens.
The administration of a policy driven system like SMS PASSCODE will provide a huge cost saving compared to administer a hardware token solution.

  • Weird message every few days or weeks

Can someone tell me why I get this weird messages on my iPhone 4S with iOS 6.1.3?
I get these messages sometimes once a week or once a month, one time I got 2 of them one after another.
See the picture and tell me what it is and what should I do about it?

That's either a Flash SMS message that someone is sending to your iPhone or some sort of problem on your carrier.

  • Apple FreeLotto message, has my friends account been hacked or worse?

I went to my friend's place to help them with anoher problem when they showed me their iPhone.  It had a message about winning some Apple FreeLotto Promo and to contact a non Apple e-mail address in Romania.  While I'm sure it's a scam, the problem was that it wasn't an SMS or app notification, but a kind of message I've never seen before.
It was a message with large white text on a grey background with a white rectangular dismiss button with large black writing.  Pressing the home button didn't make the message go away. The message said "Your mobile number has won #990,000 GBP in Apple Freelotto Promo,Ref No:######,to claim send your name, email & mobile to ###########@####.ro" The first # is actually the British pound symbol.  The second lot of ###'s is the reference number, and the third and fourth lot of ###'s were from the e-mail address.  I was able however to take a photo while the message was still there by pressing the home and sleep/wake button.   The only way to dismiss the message was to press the Dismiss button, after which the phone was in the locked state.  Maybe the phone was locked before the message first appeared.  After that I couldn't find any notifications or any such message in SMS, e-mail, the notifications centre, or other appe..
What kind of message is this?  Does this mean that my friend's Apple account has been hacked?  Or could it be worse, e.g. that her iPhone or Apple's servers were hacked?
Just in case, I got my friend to change here apple ID password.
BTW: The phone is an iPhone 4 or 4S running iOS 7.1.1.  She bought it from a phone carrier and is unlikely to hjave ben jailbroken.

You got a Flash SMS. Someone or prankster use a tool.
    Read this from Wikipedia:
    Flash SMS[edit]
A Flash SMS is a type of SMS that appears directly on the main screen without user interaction and is not automatically stored in the inbox.[63] It can be useful in emergencies, such as a fire alarm or cases of confidentiality, as in delivering one-time passwords.[64]
