Flash Stage fps setting

I'm trying to get a sfw to play smoothly on the web. If I encode a F4V at 30 fps, do I also need to set the fps of the Flash stage to 30 fps? Or can the stage fps be set at 15 fps, which I have read is better for the web.

the main swf's fps won't have on impact on the encoded flv's playback.

I did try yesterday but did not realise at that time that itunes had correct apple id. Hopefully this is a good thing!

I have looked at icloud.com/find numerous times and my iPad is not showing at all (see picture below). As I said I did turn off 'Find My iPhone' on my iPad and then erase all settings and data before taking it to the repair centre.
The gentleman at the repair centre said that the device won't restore because "Apple thinks that 'Find My iPhone' is still turned on" (I'm repeating what he said).

S110: what purpose does the Flash white balance setting serve?

I assume if you're using the flash for a shot then the camera knows it, so why would you have to set it in the WB menu. If you don't need to set it, what's it for? When I shoot with flash and WB set to Auto, everything comes out fine (except when zooming; see a separate post ont hat nearby). Thanks.

If you are shooting underexposed in order to kill all the ambient light, leaving only the flash light to show in the picture, then you need this. On AUTO WB the camera would have still been thinking the background/ambient light color is relevant so it would give you a bad color.
That is something "strobists" in particular do a lot.

Flash Player audio setting in Win'7 Volume Control

OS is Win'7, up to date. Flash Player is 11.4. Browsers Firefox 15.0.1, Chrome 22, IE 9. When playing a video on a website, the Flash Player volume setting in Volume Control (Windows Mixer) is set to the maximum, same as my speaker volume. How can I permanently set Flash Player's volume to a setting lower than that of my speakers?

This is a known issue in Firefox and Flash Player 11.3 or higher, but our testing (and I just personally re-tested it on my Win7 machine to double-check) indicates that this works as expected in Chrome and Internet Explorer.
There's a public bug tracking the Firefox issue here, and we have a corresponding internal bug assigned to an engineer for investigation:

Just for future reference for anyone with a similar problem..
I figured out the issue was that my wmode was set to transparent
windowless. When using a transparent background for a flash movie,
Flash UI components do not show up. I'm not sure if this is a bug
or not... when I set my wmode back to "window" they came up
fine.

Vector looks jagged in flash stage

Hi.
I have a sudden and unexpected problem with one of my flash files.
Just opened it and when I drag an item from the library to the stage its edges appear jagged. The library item is a movie clip composed of illustrator-created-then-imported vector elements and it worked just fine(been working on it for a few days, everything ok) up to half an hour ago. Does anybody have any idea what might have happened? It only looks jagged on stage, when exporting it's a perfect vector, in the library it looks normal - it only looks crooked when I have it on stage.
I'm thinking that maybe by accident I have changed some anti-alias setting? but unfortunately I have no idea what exactly - or even if it's possible.

Flash Game FPS drop in HTML

I'm developing a game in Flash, and it runs fine in the Flash
Player. When I open it using the .html file though, the FPS drops
drastically. The FPS for the .fla is set at 30, but my FPS counter
in the game rarely goes over 24 (tested on multiple computers). My
question is if there is something I can do about this - is there
some kind of setting that needs to be changed, or is it just a
problem inherant to the web browser?

Just to anyone who might be having the same problem with lag
in browser (which seems to be a rampant problem), I seem to have
found a solution. I was searching around and randomly found a
comment with someone who used 33.5 fps for the settings, which
worked for them. So in desperation, I tried the same. Strangely
enough, it seems to work, but only under certain computer
configurations. For people using Itel CPUs, running the Flash game
through Internet Explorer, the game runs at a perfect 30 fps. For
CPUs from AMD or running in Firefox, the game still lags. Hope this
helps someone.

Flash Stage Size and HTML

Is there a way to set a swf up via html to allow what's
outside the canvas on the left and right sides but not the top and
bottom.
Meaning, I have a large scrolling photo gallery, and what I'd
like to happen is that if a user has a resolution of 1900xWhatever,
the window will stretch out and they can see photos that are off
stage (since the stage is only 950xWhatever).
Is this possible?

What have you used as your html Export settings in Flash? (In
Publish settings)
You should be able to resize the swf (proportionately) and it
will scale.

Web Flash Gallery: Problem setting Large Images size

When using the Lightroom Flash Gallery I am not able to change the size of the Large Images (Web | Appearance | Large Images | Size). When I set the size to Medium or Small, the large images always ends up with the same size as when set to Large. Only when setting the size to Extra Large there is a slight change in size.
How can I change the Large Images size to Medium and Small?

FPS Setting Is Ignored in QT Export

Greetings. When I export a project to QuickTime, the FPS of the output file is always 29.97, no matter what FPS I set.
Have tested exports in H.264, MPEG-4 Video, and Sorensen Video 3. Have tried choosing a preset FPS (15) and entering a custom one. Result is always 29.97 FPS.
Using iMovie 7.1.1 (529) and OS 10.5.1. Problem was the same before and after applying iLife Support 8.2 update.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Hmmm, I just tested by creating a Master Page with no CSS assigned. I then associated it with all my topics and the CSS was left alone.
Your call on whether you wish to pursue or not. But it's pretty straightforward to associate a single Master Page with all your topics. You just select them all in the Topic List pod, right-click and look at properties, then from the General tab you choose the desired Master Page.

How to work on flash stage separately without item/tool/menu bar like ⌘+f in photoshop

Hi eveybody.
This is my problem.
I would like to work on stage working area in a second screen whitout the tool bar on the top of the window of stage.
I know that i can hide toolbar, and de-select pasteboard by view>pasteboard.
But i'm trying to work on similar fullscreen like photoshop with ⌘+f command.
Is there any solution? into flash or other external script of finder-mac.
I tried some software for finder and similar but they didn't work on flash
If it can't be possible why adobe not implemented this function in cs5?

Quicktime 10.1 fps setting

Is there any way to change a default setting on the fps that QT uses for recording?
I'm running a 2.8 GHz core i7 with 8 GB RAM and it seems silly that I can barely muster 15 fps on screen recordings.

Specific frame rate will depend on the platform/number and type of CPUs availalable, the specific compression format, capture dimensions, number of additional apps/processes simultaneously active etc. Most people would record to a dedicated device using a fixed frame rate option and then captute/import the resulting file in a manner that retaines the desired original or transcoded properties desired. The ability for QT to captuer/transcode is a convience at best and is not considered a preferred work flow by most serious users.

Flash stage size problem

Am using Flash Pro CS5 and although the documentation for Flash Player 10 at the link below

says that the max is 4050 by 4050.
We are trying to run a swf in a monitor array of 3840 by 4320 but in the editing of the document properties the limit is only 2880 by 2880.
Has this been fixed in FLash CS6?
Does anyone have any advice?
We are stumped.

Originally were using FP11.2 and then tried FP11.1 and went back to FP11.2 but couldn't load the swf at full stage with either. We can load a 1920 by 2160 stage but it doesn't look to be the right size - but were able to load the swf with the smaller stage size.(That is a separate issue though - the non-exactness of the stage dimensions.)
We are attempting to output to a two by four monitor array aiming for a 3840 (1920 x 2) by 4320 (1080 x 4) and the large stage size should be possible according to the specs but no go.

Flash, Android & Emulator set up

I was ecstatic when I learned that flash cs5 would be able to compile android applications.
However when I followed the steps in Lee Brimelow's video tutorial (http://www.gotoandlearn.com/play.php?id =123) I ran into several problems. This link from the video http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/air2/
android/ sends me to a this page http://www.adobe.com/products/air/ so i ran into that problem right off the bat. But my seconded problem is I lack an android phone. I can borrow a phone to test with but this won't do for general testing and debugging. I would like to use the emulator but I have no clue as to how to set it up.
