Flash to premiere cs3 then export to HD

Hi
What i need to do is Create a Flash swf, then import to premiere through third part plugin (flash ants, is this good?), then add some audio, then burn it to DVD.
The issue is getting the a good quality video from the export from premiere. i have tried to export as HD 1080i  25 high quality but when i play back the output its all jittery is this due to my machine, i have a pretty grunty one though.
Eventually i would like to create a dvd but it looks like you cant have HD when using Encore so how do i retain the quality?
Also what size should i make my document in Flash. i have tried 720x480 but this proved to be insufficient. i tried doubling that and then shrinking in premiere which seemed to work quite well when exported ad HD (thou jittery).
The reason i want to do this is because we have an expo coming up and i want to create a profile for business i work in. This profile will be displayed on a 40inch HD LCD and run from a DVD where the dvd will have to loop.
The only programs i have are adobe create suite CS3 so we will have to work within these limitations.
If anyone can help it would be much appreciated
Thanks

My best advice is to create the whole thing in Flash and run it from a Laptop.  Just skip the whole 'video' idea on this one.  It'll ruin your whole day.

  • Subtitle workflow. Is it possible to import srt files into premiere and then export to Encore?

Hi, I'm editing a series of short documentaries that wil be published in DVD with subtitles, and I'm wondering if there's any way to import srt files into Premiere and then export the project to Encore.

You can easily (and better, IMHO) do what you want in Adobe Prelude.  It's part of the CC subscription, and may have been included with CS6.
Open the Ingest panel, navigate to the external drive where you have your source clips, make the thumbnails in the Ingest panel comfortably large, click a video clip to enable scrubbing, and use the J-K-L keys to navigate playback through the clips.  Put a check mark on the clips you want and be sure to select and set up the Transfer option on the right side of the panel before ingesting.  Don't select the Transcode option.

  • Color edited in DaVinci then exported from Premiere the color changes a lot in final product. Are my export setting wrong?

I used davinci lite resolve to color edit my footage then I exported round trip to Final cut pro (premiere). Then exported out of premiere and it doesn't look the same at all. What can I do to fix this problem? I have exported from davinci in 10 bit uncompressed with the same issue.

Should I have imported the whole PRIVATE FOLDER from my hard drive?
Actually yes and ingest via the Media Browser. That is the best way.
For now: Rename folder the footage is in and see if you can relink.

  • Using Premiere Pro CS3 When exporting as flash file poor picture quality

I'm using Premiere Pro CS3. I shoot green screen in HDV and work in 1440 x 1080. I have been capturing files in Premiere and sending them to Serious Magic Ulta 2. I use this program for keying and adding virtual backgrounds. I save these files as avi. with a resolution of 1440 X 1080. I then bring them back into Premiere Pro for final edit. When I export these video's encoded as mpeg2 theyplay very clear. I am now trying to export as flv. with alpha channel background and the resolution is poor. I working on the transparent background with walk on spokespersons that overlay the HTML page. When In try to play them on my computer the adobe media player is what comes up. I have downloaded flash player but it doesn't select it to play the video. I'm running windows Vista Business platform. What am I doing wrong.

    Thanks for the reply.
The capture and editing have already been done in 1440 X 1080. Should I use this resolution rather than trying to bump it up to 1920 X 1080.
    Thanks

Computer playback generally prefers square pixels.  Make sure to set your output resolution to 1920 x 1080 using a Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR) of 1.0 or Square.
    See if that helps.

  • I have exported a file from premiere cs3 using quicktime animation codec, when i burn it the audio is not there..help!?

    hello.
am having a proble with adobe premiere cs3
i have exported the file as quicktime using the animation codec, with 100per cent quality as it needs to be the highest quality
when i play the file with media player the sound is there, but when i burn it onto a dvd the audio is not there anymore... i really dont understand what i am doing wrong! can anyone help please?
i am using quicktine as im told this the best for optimum lossless quality
if i cannot burn it with audio using the quikctime animation codec, then i might try exporting it as an avi file. if so, what is the best codec to use for lossless quality?
    thankyou!!!!

And when you follow Jim's suggestions, Export as elemental streams, i.e. one Video-only file and one Audio-only file. Encore will like that better.
    Good luck,

  • Premiere CS3 and 24p exporting

    Hello,
I've been working on this problem for a long time.
I have some clips shot with a Canon XL2 in 24p mode with 2:3:3:2 pulldown. I import in Premiere CS3 in a 24p project, go in "Interpreter footage" and set "Remove 24p pulldown", and in the timeline the clips are good, 24p without interlaced frames.
Then I go exporting: I want export in 24p (23,97) DV format.
    1) If I choose "Microsoft DV AVI" with "DV (24p Advanced)", the clips I get are in 29,97 with still the flagged frame that should have been removed. So I have the same output format that I get setting DV NTSC with his 29,97 framerate.
    2) If I choose "Microsoft AVI" and then I go with an alternative DV codec, such as the Panasonic's one (but I've tried many and I've got the same results, so I don't think it's their fault), I get a 23,97 clip, but the frame that has been removed is not the flagged and interlaced one, is one of the progressive. Watching the clip frame to frame I see that I have 24 fps: 3 progressive, 1 interlaced, 3 progressive, 1 interlaced, and so on.
Let me know. Sorry for my bad english but I'm italian.
    Thank you

My own testing shows that Premiere doesn't create 24p friendly DV files. I've had much better success creating 24p MPEG2-DVD files.

  • Cs4 Exporting Flash to Premiere Pro has blurred edges on objects

hi!  I'm trying to take a simple flash animation (with vector shapes drawn in illustrator) and put it in Premiere Pro with some music.   I want to make a DVD of several clips of different kinds.  The problem is when I import the SWF (24fps) and export it as an AVI, it looks terrible.  The mpeg2 doesn't have the mismatched/blurred pixelated edges, but it is all poor quality.  How can I do this with the best quality possible for DVD?  (I can't get a quicktime player for some reason either) HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLP!!
    Thanks a million ya'll!!
    <3 Suzy

The swf is 1920 x 1080 and looks perfect when played in Flash Player.  It looks good in PremPro, but not after it's exported through the render queue  in any format it seems.
I tried to use the same size sequence settings, and I also tried to resize it (scale) to 720 x 480 in PremPro.  I also tried varying ther frame rate (orig Flash is 24)  but i tried 29.97 then 24.  No luck!
I cannot figure out how to export an flv from Flash.   When I File>Export I get avi, swf, mov, and a few others but not flv.  I'm googling like craazy, but it's so much more helpful to talk to someone.  Thanks for trying to help me.

  • Premiere Pro CS3 then After Effects CS3 for Color Correction?

    Hello All,
I'm at a bit of a loss here, it seems like it's a no brainer to be able to do this. I'm trying to edit my film in Premiere and then use After Effects to do color correction using Color Finesse 2. But there doesn't seem to be ANY way to keep a project so you can continue to edit in premiere while you also keep all your color correction??
You can do color correction in AE and export a premiere project but premiere won't recognize the Color Finesse Filter so you lose all you color correction!
Or I can edit the whole project in premiere and open it in after effects to do color correction, but then if there is a single edit change that needs to be done in premiere again i've once again lost my Color Correction to bring it back.
Is this really the case that I can't use these expensive packages together this way? It seems like there has to be a solution! If Adobe just made it so Premiere kept the "links" to your filters in the project, instead of killing an unrecognizable one. Then when you opened it back in after effects after your edit your Color Correction would still be there.
    Any one have any advice?
    Thanks,
    -Ethan

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, all good ideas.
Aanarav, Your idea to just get Color Finesse for premiere I suppose I could do. It's $545 which isn't exactly pocket change, but it would probably be worth it, if there is another way other than breaking the bank book for software I already own i'd like to try to get away with it.
    Steven Gotz
Dynamic link is unfortunately a feature only of the production studio package which is like $1100 upgrade from what I have...so that's kinda out of the question for me.
    Jon Sands
Great idea here. I really thought it might work since premiere seems to use what are called after effects plugin files too. But after copying and pasting for a while it doesn't look like it actually sees it as a plugin anywhere I paste it. :( If anyone knows of a way to get that to work I would be seriously grateful!
I guess it sounds like the only way out is to spend cash, sigh such is so often the case is seems.

  • Flash animation - premiere export issues

    Hi.
I am trying to find the best way to export animation from Flash CS4 in order to edit in Premiere CS4.
I want the quality to be as good as an swf.
    I have tried exporting as bitmap sequences at 72 dpi and 720x576 32 bit/alpha , quality 100.
In Premiere I have a project which is defined as Pal 720x576
I have interpreted all my footage at 25fps and changed the pixel aspect ratio to d1/dv 1.0940 to match
    I export :
    Microsoft Avi
    Video codec - none
    720 x576
    Frame rate : 25
Feild Tyoe : Lower (progressive makes things worse)
    Aspect:d1/dv 1.0940
    and\render at maximum depth
My first shot is a zoom in that gets very blurry and not clean, the rest just loses quality
This is for tv and internet - and I was asked to work in Pal 720x576
I'd aprreciate some guidance - if there is a better way to export from both Flash and Premiere to improve quality I'd be very grateful.
    Thanks

I think it mite be my hard drives or something on the hardware end.

BSOD can also point to heat, bad RAM, MoBo issue or power supply not adequate, along with Jeff's suggestions.
This ARTICLE might point you in the right direction.
I cannot recall if that article mentions Speedfan, but if it IS a heat issue, that will help you sort it out.

  • Exporting from Premiere CS3 to Encore CS3

Hi all, I wonder if anybody has the answer for this. I have been really excited about the new feature that lets us export from a Premier timeline and open straight into an Encore project.
But what I want to know is, is it possible to perform this type of export for multiple sequences or timelines so they all open in the same encore project?
What I am doing at the moment requires 2 films on one authored disc. I am currently exporting straight to Encore which creates a new project each time, closing the unused projects tghen importing the exported video into my main Encore project manually.

More of a Premiere question, but no, it's not possible to do this with multiple sequences.
Instead, let Premiere create the Encore project for you from one sequence, then export your extra sequences to AVI or MPEG-2/H.264 from Premiere and import them as assets into Encore, where you can then add them to timelines and link to them.

  • Export from Premiere CS3 Dimmed.

I just installed Premiere CS3. I've compiled a simple sequence of about 200 jpegs and I'm trying to export them to Encore to burn the little show on DVD. The "Export to Encore" option is dimmed in the export menu. I have ran the sequence through the media encoder according to the tutorial on the Adobe website. What I am doing wrong?

  • HD Export/Render issues Premiere CS3

Hey, I've had this problem for a while now and just cant seem to figure out how to fix it.
A while back I purchased a Hauppauge HD-PVR for capturing Xbox 360 footage in HD. Everything works fine until I try to export the footage. Once it's done exporting and I review the video, the feed gets all messed up and pixelated at times.
    EX: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phzsxWIM6ao
I've looked at the video immediately after capture and it appears fine. I import the video into Premiere CS3, render the work area, and review the video (while still in Premiere) and it still has no problems. It isn't until it is fully rendered and exported that things get messed up. I've tried a few different things to fix this problem (deinterlacing, frame rate, bitrate) but nothing seems to work. Any advice?

Use different software. PR is intended for editing material from VIDEO cameras.
